Such a quaint little place! I felt like I was stepping back in time. The waitress was amazing and very friendly! The food was delicious! We ordered and it was ready quick! Nothing better than food hot off the grill and still steaming when you get it!

Great spot for breakfast or lunch. Nice and cozy vibe and family friendly. I went here for breakfast on a Saturday with my family. They were busy but we were seated promptly. Our server took our drink orders right away, which was nice cause I love my coffee in the morning lol. Our sever was very friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. My only complaint is that they ONLY accept cash and although they have an ATM machine in the back I hate paying fees using those. In this day in age cash only is not an acceptable customer experience.

The food was delicious and cheap! The hash browns were fresh and cut into hefty chunks and the eggs were savory and buttery. The entire meal was only $12.07. I was very surprised. Great food for a great price. I would definitely recommend!

Had an optometry appointment that was located about 10 minutes from here,My Brother and Myself were hungry so I looked up what was around,and found this placeI can say right off,the atmosphere was really laid back and artwork etc was very interestingThe waitress who helped us was truly kind and attentiveOur food got to us pretty quicklyAnd I can say hands down,I’m glad I chose this place the food was outstanding and really good portions at a decent price.Service was amazing and staff were amazingThanks!

We were looking for a quaint local spot and we found it! I saw some of the recent negative reviews and am at a loss since the service we received was awesome.We were seated right away and a young lady came to wipe down the table within seconds. I did pop inside to check for a specials menu and found out that Loco moco was their special today.We had our drink order taken right away which was very nice, then our waitress came and took our orders. Everyone we have encountered here has been friendly and attentive.My co-worker and I both ordered the Loco Moco and we were glad we did. Lots of flavor and good portions. Please note that it comes with mushrooms in the gravy.This is definitely on our list the next time we are in town on business.

This quaint Lil spot is truly nostalgic. I loved that home comfort feeling. As soon as I walked in everyone was super friendly.But lets talk about food!! It was an amazing home cooked meal. They gave you big portions. I got the country fried steak, with their seasoned hashbrowns and scrambled eggs. It came with a side of toast, pancake or biscuit and gravy. I picked the biscuit and gravy.My daughter, who is 3, was already super hungry, so I asked if I could put her order in asap and they did so kindly. She was so happy when her Mickey pancake came out, along with her chocolate milk and whip cream. This was a hidden gem for me, so glad I came across it. I will be returning on a regular.

We were at a near by location for work but the job was cancelled for the day. We ended up going for breakfast at Robertas Village in and we all absolutely loved it! Retro feeling, beautiful old style interior with Christmas decorations to prepare us for the upcoming holidays. Outside was cold and rainy. The atmosphere inside was warm and welcoming. Our breakfast was delicious! The hot chocolate even more! Absolutely loved it! Cash only!

Went there recently with my wife and daughter, who had never been there. The food was great as always but the service was not as great as it normally is. When the waitress was refilling our coffee, we commented about how great the coffee and food was, the waitress didnt even acknowledge us and just walked away. It was awkward to say the least. Other than the not so friendly service, the food and atmosphere was nice.

Classic food at friendly prices! Great service and friendly staff! I love the fact that you can get fries, soup, salad, cottage cheese, tomatoes, or onion rings for the same price. So many places charge extra if you want something different than fries. I had the bacon burger and added a fried egg on top per my request! I would definitely recommend Robertas to everyone!

First time here, friend from Laverne raved about how delicious the food is here. I ordered tuna salad, omelet. My husband got hamburger. Food is bland, very bland. I love to cook and we also like to dine out a lot. The presentation is dull. The side fruits were fresh and the serving is really big. But it is very bland. Im gluten free! The server does not know anything about gluten free. We feel like leaving but we were really hungry.

A neighborhood tradition thats been here forever. Roberta still greets her guests and if youve been there more than a few times, she knows your name and family! Great food, varied menu, best breakfasts around, old fashioned burgers, real milk shakes, home cooked dinners and a friendly staff. It stays open in the evenings Thurs thru Sat. Steak & eggs special on the weekends.

Table for 4 and only one plate was mediocre. Are waitress was unattentive not very nice and once she got our food to our table she never showed back up again. To top that off they only take cash theres a small sign by the checkout register small sign on the front door and the waitress never mentioned it. So you spend an extra $2.10 to use their ATM if you dont have. If you do go dont get the roast beef sandwich because its got four or five slices of very thinly sliced deli meat

I can’t believe I never knew this little diner even existed and I have lived in La Verne for over 25 years. Roberta’s is a classic old school diner with decor to match. It’s that classic Coca Cola look, old cash register, pay phone on the wall, **CASH ONLY** ( ATM machine available inside ) back to the basics feel.Great food and large portions. The menu has a nice selection of comfort like foods. I am looking forward to trying something outside of the breakfast menu!FYI- breakfast burritos is HUGE! Be prepared!You can feel the family owned vibe inside!All three times I’ve been there the service was excellent! Probably some of the best in town.Not only are they friendly, they know their stuff. And you never have to worry about flagging down a server for anything. They are on top of it!This is a great example of how the service should be everywhere you go.I was unsure of what to order because none of the breakfast combinations included all the items I wanted. At least not without being complicated. The waitress kindly asked me what all the items were, then told me what to order. She had combined one order, and added one side to it, in order to give me the lowest price possible for everything I wanted.It was awesome! She was hands down the best server/waitress I’ve ever had!So when your passing thru La Verne I recommend giving Roberta’s a try! This is a super cute place in what looks like Old Town La Verne. It as all the vibe and decor of an old-timey diner. One great thing I noticed right away about their menu is that it is simple, which is an underrated pleasure in restaurants, especially when it comes to breakfast. There were just enough options to have some variety but not be overwhelming.Its fairly inexpensive too compared to other places. I got their waffle and it was only about $7, plus a couple for eggs and toppings. And from sharing dishes with the rest of my family I could tell that everything was very filling. Im definitely a fan and would love to come back.One thing on the menu worth mentioning is that their Pancake Sandwich is not actually a sandwich. Its just pancakes with sausage in between, in case you were picturing something along the lines of a McGriddle like I was.

The best I’ve had in a while.French toast breakfast. 1 piece French toast, 1 egg, 2 bacon and a generous serving of hash browns.This was the highlight of the meal - the hash browns. After living close by for 27 years, this is still our favorite breakfast place. My wife, Emy, says this is the best vegetable omelette anywhere. The pancakes are very good, with a generous serving. It’s nice that the original owner, Roberta, is still here, keeping the place going.

Used to love this place but this morning breakfast was just adequate and the service was below par. Considering the wait for the food you think it would be good but the egg white omelet was overcooked and just plain hard, the potatoes werent so good either. All the toast was over toasted and hard. I ordered coffee and was never offered a warm up or refill until I was ready to leave. The server had no customer service skills and was not very friendly. Needless to say I wont be going back. First time coming here despite living down the street for a couple of years now I cant believe Ive missed this gem, all I have to say is this is a great spot to come and enjoy with friends and family the food is amazing and very well priced, the service is second to none all the girls are amazing and super friendly but Carey goes above and beyond to make your visit an awesome one. I was excited to try this little dinner, it is super cute! I was so disappointed 😟 I ordered bacon & eggs with seasoned hash browns and my friend had their strawberry crepe breakfast special. The eggs and bacon were fine but I was not served hash browns, they were undercooked breakfast potatoes with zero seasoning. My friends crepes were a thinner version of pancakes. The staff were super friendly but not super attentive. Maybe Ill give this place another shot, well see. Hoping the cooks just had an off day.

Omg, its the best. A group of friends and I were just wondering up and down the street lil king for a place to eat, and we just decided to walk in because it didnt seem that bad. Right when I walked in I was greated, there was open seating, and an open floor plant. Lots of room. The feel of this restaurant was very 50s - 60s. I loved it. It made me feel as if I were in the movie Grease. I had the tuna melt, which I suggest very much. My friends though all got pancakes, and let me tell you, THEY ARE HUGE, and very much worth the money and it comes in 3. If I had the money to go back I would. One finally note their cash register was like the ones that you would see in antique stores, but it works, i like how they kept frozen in time even with a cash register. There was nothing wrong nor was it broken. 5 stars :)

I sat at the counter for breakfast this morning (a Sunday), so I had a front-row seat witnessing the staff working as hard as I have ever seen any group of people working ever in my lifetime. The place was absolutely slammed, and what I saw was positively inspirational. I have never seen any group of people work so well together anywhere. They were cooperative, polite, friendly, and they had an almost supernatural ability not to get in each others way as they were doing their jobs as well as I have ever seen them done. These were all young folks and new to me (I havent been there in about a year), so Ive got to believe that they are all fairly recent hires. But Robertas hit a home run. The waitstaff is absolutely outstanding. I truly think this is one of the most competently run restaurants I have ever visited, and I will definitely be back. Oh, and the food was great, too. A real treasure in the heart of La Verne.

It was such an awesome place. I love the atmosphere of an old American Diner. It was my first time and everyone was so polite and super helpful.
