Whoever booked the 11-4-2023 opening act, should be FIRED !! They booked a “JAZZ” band, to play the ROCK yard, just to fill a spot….We came to see ROCK, and got a snooze-fest of JAZZ !We left, after 20 minutes, as did lots of others, as we just couldn’t take another 1 1/2 hours of JAZZ, waiting for possible ROCK music to come on…. We didn’t even get to see IF the Michael Jackson band was any good…. Don’t they even listen to these groups before they book them ??What happened to this place …?? It used to be a great place to come and see some great ROCK music…Now, it seems like they book anything, to throw at the wall, and see what sticks, all in the hope they can sell enough booze, to cover the cost. Not even worth the gas to get there anymore !!

The Rock Yard is the place where everybody wish they could go. Let me explain. The best night has dinner drinks and music the Rock Yard has it all. Additionally, it is attached to the Fantasy Springs casino which has some of the best restaurants and entertainment and even dancing around.

Love this venue. The Rock Yard is a clean and secure outdoor venue. There is no cover charge, and you can hear and see some great cover and tribute bands. The house band Steel Rod, rocks the house.

The tribute concerts they put on are incredible fun. They make it so easy to get and enjoy a couple of cocktails while the bands entertain you. The bar staff and the lights and sound staff are so friendly and helpful.The security is amazing. Officer Frankie is on top of everything. Nothing gets past him!!!We feel safe to relax and enjoy the show!!!

I love the outdoor concert concept! Plenty of benches and seats everywhere, bar service tables, or you can go into the casino and bring your stuff outside with you. Very fun! I even got a reward for signing up as a member.

The Rock Yard is always a great place to see cover bands. Free admission, and the drinks are actually pretty reasonably priced! It does get hot, and sometimes windy.On our last visit, they turned the misters on, which helped ALOT, but then they turned them off, and it would get hot again. They should leave them on.

I have posted on the Rock Yard before. We vacation out in Palm Desert and the past 4 years have been stopping at the Rock Yard for Allstar concerts and the outdoor FREE bands, FREE parking shows. Usually tribute bands that will Rock you socks off. My hats off to the staff and promoters for a fantastic experience at Fantasy Springs 👏

Boston Tribute Band at the Rock Yard, always FREE!! It was cold 🥶 and they DID NOT HAVE THE PROPANE HEATERS at the tables outside, they had them before so Im not sure why they took them away (50 degrees during the performance). Rant over...it was still a fun night.

Tribute bands are fantastic.Local bands are redundant and frankly, not good.A Tina Turner tribute band would bring some awesome flavor and MUCH NEEDED diversity.***11/1/2021 - Rockyard should improve their small stage band selection. They should have more bands in rotation. They’ve had the same tired local bands, who play the same tired set list, for the last couple of years. Meh!Paul Ryan is out of touch with the music scene. He doesn’t select bands based on talent. It’s quite unfair. I saw a band there called The Lifetime Rockers or something like that. Good band. Horrible fit for Rockyard. Also, there are other bands that play the exact same set list every time they perform at Rockyard. He should leave that decision to the person who was hired to do that job. Get some local bands from other cities, counties, states - anywhere- just keep it fresh!As for the tribute bands, most are fantastic. However, please consider adding some diversity. All rock bands/musicians don’t look the same. Talented People of Color would like the same opportunities that all the non people of color are routinely getting. Very biased environment. Give others that don’t have the same “look” a chance. Tina Turner? Prince? Jimi Hendrix? Chuck Berry? Little Richard? In other words, add some color/flavor.**Update (10/2022) - They have gotten some better local bands. That’s a definite improvement!However, it would be great to see some bands, or at least “a” band with People of Color. It’s like they disassociate Rock music with People of Color. That’s a concern.

I love this place for a fun, outdoor, musical activity. There always have great cover bands. It is a small amphitheater just outside the casino. You can sit on grassy areas, concrete slabs, or tables and chairs. Theres a space for dancing. The sound system is great, as is the stage and lighting. Its a fantastic place to grab a drink, and hear good music while enjoying the valleys better weather days.

Went for the supposed Led Zeppelin cover band last night on March 11, 20221 The warm up band screeched on for way too long with very little of recognizable music! We finally left at 9PM as our ears hit screech overload! Whether the cover band took the stage or that was still warm up; I gave up trying to discern! Id rather snooze in my recliner the subject myself to that again! Many people seemed to be enjoying themselves immensely either they were vaping, or just many drinks into it; I will never know! No my thing, have been to Rock Yard twice, the Nirvana cover band looked suspiciously like who was there last night? Make me wonder?

I have come to see quite a few cover bands at the Rock Yard. My favorite band is the opening band for every show Ive seen, Pandora Rocks.Great solid cover band that has a huge range of musical choices. Lead guitarist is always good for a solid rendition of Purple Rain. So if youre there make sure to show up early to watch the better of the bands.

Had fun with the wifey on our first time over even though we traveled 1 hour to be there. We were there for a SOAD tribute but this place has over other tributes. $6 tequila specials $7 beer 🍺cant beat it. We used to LOVE the Rock Yard. But, last weekend was terrible. Several hundred people crammed in front of the stage - we were among about 10 people wearing masks. Sure, I know its outside, but a crowded venue should be requiring masks. We left early. Only 36% of the people were probably vaccinated. Shame on Fantasy Springs - will have to carry on with a couple less customers.

Usually great. Tonight the bars served warm beer almost all night! Even after notifying the beverage manager that there was no ice in any of the beer tubs, she never took care of it (said she would). Beer 101, HOT IS BAD. She was more interested in talking to the manager it appeared. Very disappointed.
