Didn’t expect to find a such a quality Japanese restaurant in Roseville! The chef is top notch and we’re lucky to have him here! I had the pork Katsu and also sampled some of the sushi from my other families plates. The restrooms were very nice too. This restaurant will be a success if they continue to keep up this level of service and food quality

Overall food was ok but overpriced in my opinion for the size. Quality was decent though. But service was very good! Came out fast and I dropped a chopstick and the dude gave me a new set before I could even reach down to pick it up.I love chirashi but as you can see it was small for $28.

If I could give 6 stars I would, hands down one of the best Japanese restaurants in Roseville. The decor is modern, clean and so much detail has been thought through for a top tier dining experience. The service is impeccable, the servers are attentive and friendly.I am so happy that we finally have a restaurant where they serve more traditional Japanese dishes like ankimo and otoro. The sushi rice is perfectly warm and the grains of the rice are seasoned perfectly. We ordered the Roseville roll and the Autumn of Canada roll, very delicious and great blend of flavors. We also had the salmon belly, hamachi belly and scallop nigiri which were high quality. And we also ordered the hamachi kama which was seasoned just right and grilled to perfection.We will definitely come back!

Exceptional experience. My husband celebrated his bday and it was amazing! The food is top notch quality, the service is 10/10, the owners are very friendly and welcoming and the details of everything is very nice and upscale. We will definitely return. A must try restaurant!

This restaurant is so good. Very fresh. I had the salmon. It came with soup and salad. It was really good. My husband got the springtime roll and the rainbow roll. Both were excellent. The service was wonderful. We will definitely be back.

ANOTHER Japanese place in our area? Yes! Let’s be honest, it’s an over-saturated market in placer county, but I’ll always give a new restaurant a shot.Place is kinda small(but very inviting), so you’re probably gonna wait on a busy night. Love their presentation! In fact, it’s probably the best I’ve seen around. Some unique nigiri options, plenty of rolls, great kitchen menu.We will certainly be back. I would rank in my top 3 with BF Miyabi and Tang’s being the others.

Read a lot of good reviews so we decided to try it & see for ourselves.I like the simple yet elegant design of the resto. It was clean and servers were friendly.We ordered the spicy kani salad which was ok, nothing extraordinary bout the taste, Tonkatsu ramen which looked creamy but was also just ok. I loved the lion king roll, and my son loved the tonkatsu which came with stir fry veggies which I also liked! It also came with a bowl of rice, miso soup and green salad which is also good. It’s just nice to have something near our place!

Friendly staff, food was delicious 🤤, super clean, utensils were fancy.The bento box was good but next Id order something else. The gyoza in the bento box was really crispy. The rice was the short grain rice which was great!We also got the Roseville Roll, very different from other rolls we got before. Love the caviar on top.

Weekend is super packed. I couldnt wait in line, but I came back today since the line wasnt crazy and try out this new spot in town. Im glad I did because atmosphere and the food are amazing here and now I know why there is always a waitlist for this busy restaurant.Appetizers: Season Edamane, Mixed Tempura app (yummy)Rolls : lion king, paradise and Autumn of Canada (super delicious)Nigiri & Sashimi combo 5 🌟(top-notch) best presentation from the staff as well.

What makes this sushi place better than the others I have tried in the area is the high quality ingredients and authenticity. The seafood is so fresh, rice is perfectly cooked and portions are well thought out. Also very reasonably priced for the quality and great service.I have never ate so much in one sitting, we got the seasoned edamame, miso soup, mixed tempura (so delicately crispy), sake nigiri, shrimp tempura roll, teriyaki chicken, green tea mochi and yuzu sherbet. Everything was so delicious, I will definitely be back especially bc I can’t stop thinking about the green tea mochi!

This place is amazing! I love the gold details in the real chopsticks sake glasses, and napkins. I love the posh denim aprons the servers wear. The food is very fresh and reasonable in cost. The food presentation is outstanding . The place is small and I think it would look extra nice if they added some plants and an aquarium. I really hope this restaurant makes it andi cant wait to go back

Excellent.The best house hot sake Ive ever had. The sashimi dinner was great. I got full and couldnt finish it. But I tried! Miso soup was yum. Everyone on the staff was so pleasant and welcoming. Ive seen some reviews on here talking about the high prices. I disagree. Im from TX and pay the same price for raw fish that is no where near as good as this! Im definitely coming back when Im back in town! Keep up the great work, Roku Team!

I wish our food would have come out at the same time. My husbands roll came out 20+ minutes before my chicken teriyaki. He was done eating before I was served 🤦‍♀️But service was good, friendly, food delicious, presentation beautiful!❤️ 😋👍🏼

Very nice atmosphere! Glad to see a fine dining vibe in Roseville area. Everything is fancy. Service is 10/10, the chefs are very friendly and they make the best sushi. I’ve been to every sushi restaurant in town and this is our new favorite place. Simon is the best. We will definitely come back!

I had the most amazing dining experience at this 5-star Japanese restaurant. From the moment I walked in, the chefs professional culinary expertise with Japanese cuisine was evident in every dish. Their hospitable vibe added a personal touch that made the meal even more enjoyable. Not only was the food exceptional, but it was also reasonably priced compared to other establishments of its caliber. On Monday evening, my wife and I visited a new restaurant for the first time, and it was incredibly clean and well-maintained. The attention to detail, from the plates to the utensils, and everything was beautifully prepared.We sat at the sushi bar and enjoyed our meal. The owner, Mr. Simon, warmly welcomed us and took great care of us. We had ramen, sushi rolls, and edamame, and everything was delicious. In the middle of our meal, Simon recommended a sake bomb, and he generously offered us three complimentary glasses. It was a delightful experience.Overall, the restaurant was elegantly prepared, making it a perfect place for a date.

I live nearby and decided to try this place out. The food was great and tasted delicious! Unfortunately, my server spilled miso soup all over me and my shorts it was very hot. She apologized of course. It was difficult to enjoy my meal with the moist feeling all over my shorts and thighs. We were not compensated for the food at all or comped. We still had to pay full price. I would go again. I hope the service would be better.UPDATE: I went back for dinner the other night and they delivered! They comp’d my meal and apologized again for the incident. The food was great as expected. Thank you sue!

My wife and I had tempura, nigiri moriawase, sashimi moriawase. Tempura was crisp and deliciously retained the flavors each vegetable. I can still feel the meat texture of prawn after the initial light crunch of the well-fried batter.Nigiri moriawase & sashimi moriawase presentation was delicately fancy. I personally prefer understated presentation, but I enjoyed it nontheless. Some sushi places try to make up for lack of quality for the size of slices of fish. Rokus fish slices were appropriately sized (read bite-size) and is consistent with quality sushi places in Asia and larger cities like NY. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I mentioned to my server they should open up another location in San Jose. Im a little peeved that Roseville has a better sushi restaurant than in San Jose.Roku is definitely one of the better sushi place I had the pleasure of eating. If you want a better sushi, youll have to go omakase, which can cost 4~5 times the price or more.Ill definitely come back when I have the occasion to visit Roseville again.

The food here was fabulous. Had the teriyaki steak, perfectly cooked, tender meat. Also had the teriyaki chicken, again cooked perfectly. No chunks of fat. Very delightful. Tako sushi roll was outstanding. Very fresh and visually perfect. California roll also very fresh quality ingredients. Our server was polite and well mannered. Also remembered our order without writing anything down. Will be back! Deserves 6 stars!
