Love their $6 deli sandwiches that are so perfect for whatever outing you have coming up! We have gotten them for the beach, airport meal, regular lunch time, etc etcThey are a great price and great size! I remember them saying they tend to run out of them near lunch time so I always try to get them in the morning.Parking is always available even though it’s a small lot. I have always found a spot.The cashiers are always friendly too (pretty sure it is family run).I highly recommend this place!

A great little Italian market! Its a good place for various cured meats, salamis, cheeses, olives, Italian sweets, pizza flour, etc. Plus, they have The Sandwich, which, for $6, is quite tasty! It has Genoa salami, capicola, mortadella, and provolone on a fresh baked french bun. Definitely try it!

Finally got to try the famous sandwich and it was fantastic! The bread wasnt hard as I initially thought and the fresh meats/cheeses were in perfect ratio. At only $6 currently its easily one of the best sandwich deals around. Free parking in lot.

I love Roma Deli. Their famous sandwich is fantastic and very affordable. Their frozen gnocchi is the best in town and pairs perfectly with the different sauces and butters they have. Truly a unique one of a kind place.

Roma Market continues to pump out these simple yet delicious Italian sandwiches. There is no variety here, but they are convenient and filled with a tasty combination of Italian cold cuts and a slice of good cheese.When described as simple I really mean simple. Salami, Sopresseta, and Mortadella are what are offered. If there were some greens and maybe a nice tomato, I would certainly make this a 5-star sandwich. Of course, the present creation sits and travels very well.The rest of the market remains sparse, but they do carry some nice imported goodies. The limited produce is also of good quality too.This is a real Pasadena institution.

Once in awhile Ill come over here. I (Only)go to The Fishery where you buy and they fry the fish their prices are pretty reasonable you can call them in order that way you dont have to wait. They have Roma market Pietro sandwich place, laundromat and a dental office.

I never write reviews, but I was visiting from Sacramento and I had seen a post on Instagram about this legendary $6 sandwich. I went in on Thursday and bought two sandwiches, some cookies and a focaccia. The sandwiches were SO GOOD I called my Calabrese mom to tell her and promised Id bring her back one. I ate the focaccia a few hours later and was blown away by how flavorful it was. I returned Friday and bought armfuls of sandwiches and focaccia to bring home to my family who all left impeccable reviews. The crusty Italian bread and simplicity of the cured meats were literally to die for. I plan to return every time I visit southern California

Don’t believe the hype. The sandwich is just okay. Definitely not worth waiting in line for. At the risk of getting haters, you can find way better sandwiches elsewhere with Zero wait. The story is romantic and the store is charming and the owner is now a legend but this sandwich is just downright plain. Go to Mr. K’s in Burbank and try his meatless sandwich.

We LOVE this little market/deli. Don’t know anything about the alleged media hype but after reading recent negative (critical) reviews, everyone has different likes/dislikes and expectations.Yes, Rosario’s deli sandwiches are prepared daily (usually over 500 are made) non-stop until they run out of bread which is usually around 2:00pm and are definitely not stale. Yes, they are simple but are perfect just the way they are. There’s a reason they run out of them every si gel day. For all you bougies out there with elevated palate expectations, yeah go somewhere else to get your sub fix with ALL THE TRIMMINGS for three times the cost. We hit Roma’s at least once a week. “The sandwich” is fresh, simple and delish just as is!! They’re wrapped in pink paper and are stacked next to the cashier. We love the owner, the sweetest little Italian dude hanging in his market and loving every minute of it!Buon appetito!Cheers!

I love the internet because it introduces me to places like Roma Market.I was caught up in the atmosphere of the place so I didnt really study the menu so Im not sure if my experience is the norm or I caught them on a special day.They had just one sandwich to offer today. A selection of Italian cold cuts and cheese on a very fresh roll. The price was only $6.I was sort of just passing by and I just grabbed the sandwich but I wish I had taken a bit more time to take a look around. Seems like a really neat place.

The store inside gives me mom and pop store Italy vibes but the sandwich is just not it for me. The hype was definitely real but when i arrived, the bread was already cut up dressed with the olive oil and meat sitting on top of it, ready for the customer. Probably the reason the bread was sooo hard! I guess i expected lettuce, tomato, etc. I was wrong only meat, cheese oil and bread. :(

Great little gem!! Stopped by on a whim on our drive to find some capicola, and mortadella for my mom. Perfectly sliced thin and the price was great compared to other Italian deli’s I’ve tried along the way. Also the flavor of the meats is incredible if you’ve never had the real thing from a true Italian store. The sandwiches are famously good— we always get the veggie. Theyre freshly made and usually ready to grab around lunchtime. But I also come here for the greatest Italian butter Ive ever had. Italian market in Pasadena with a simple Italian sub (a Jonathan Gold fave). There’s just cheese, meats, and good olive oil on toasty bread, but something about its simplicity is soooo good. We tried slicing it in half to save some for another meal, but we just ended up eating the whole sandwich in one sitting. If you like spice, I’d suggest enjoying some peppers on the side for some extra zing (although the sandwich is good as-is.The sandwiches are piled up by the cash register and are $5 plus tax. They are wrapped in pink wrappers so it’s easily distinguishable. They accept credit cards. Parking is available in the small lot, and when I went in the afternoon on a weekday, it was easy to nab a spot (I imagine it would be much more difficult during the lunch hour). Be mindful of the posted signs, as many of the lot spots are for the other businesses in the complex.

You’d think they moved this shop from Italy! You will find everything from Italy here. The best and most famous is their Italian sandwiches.. the little guy’ sell over 100 sandwiches a day, 7 days a week. I bought some to eat in the plane going to Hawaii, and people on the plane recognized the sandwiches just by the wrappers it’s wrapped it.

We have been frequenting Romas since we moved into the neighborhood 6 years ago. This is the best place for all your Italian import needs from pasta to meats, cheeses, wine, olive oil, baked goods, and lots of imported chocolate. They also have delicious frozen ravioli, lasagna and pasta sauce and my hubby loves their spumoni. They have a small selection of fruits and vegetables and staples like eggs and butter but really this is the place to go if you want to cook authentically Italian. And the owner is wonderful and always quick with an excellent recommendation.

Went in for the Sandwich. Lucky to live nearby. Get a sandwich and a few other goodies like olives, stuffed peppers, etc... and go for a picnic. Or just get a sandwich and go for a hike on the nearby trails. It is simple, good quality meats/cheese and olive oil on a crunchy but easy to eat baguette. The simplicity of the sandwich is what makes it so good as it is all about tasting the meats and cheese. It reminds me of having a bocadillo in Spain, and the simplicity of life before we had access to so many ingredients and fusion cuisines. Nobody makes sandwiches like this and thats the point.

My family started coming to Roma in the mid 1970s. Was so awesome to hear my dad chat with Rosario in Italian - the charm of this market totally brings you back to Italy. We reconnected with Roma and Rosario when my wife and I bought a house a mile away in 2000. For those 20 years, Roma was a regular for us. Sadly, last year we moved 300 miles away. Now every time we are near, we chat with Rosario and grab his signature sandwiches, and stock up on the amazing deli meats and cheeses. I just tried this place recently and let me tell you that the famous sandwich is great. Its made with some simple Italian cold cuts, some cheese and a drizzle of olive oil over this great crispy bread that compliment each other perfectly. I heard about this place from the Los Angeles Times Lunchtime with Jonathan Gold and Im sure glad I went.

A real Italian market in Pasadena. Fair prices, many items only available in specialty shops. Ask the older gentleman for help choosing from many varieties of items for sale -- there are like more than half a dozen Balsamic vinegars for instance. One of the less expensive Balsamics (18 years old, 500ml, about a pint and $20) was incredible. Delicious! Their sandwiches, $5, are very popular and worth the visit just for them.

I used to live a couple blocks from this place and heard they made sandwiches. So I walked up there one day and walked in and I think it was empty except for a woman at a register and an older man behind the deli counter. I was greeted by the woman and I replied Hi! Only thing keeping this place from getting a 5 star, anit the food or products. Well maybe one of the food, aka there shining star, the sandwich, normally you cant beat it. But one time I went and got a sandwich the bread was hard and broke into many pieces, like it was 3 weeks old sitting out in the sun. I literally had meat and half a bottom bun for my sandwich.
