Very interesting place! Im not exactly sure about the personality however. It wants to be a steakhouse, or a boutique eatery. But, the continuity between decorations, ambience, menu, food is simply not there.One item I did enjoy eating was the marrow.The spicy vodka pasta was very nice. Very smooth blend of creamy flavor along with a hint of spice that got you at the end of your bite.I had the short rib which was plated on a mashed potato base along with a carrot and a parsnip. The parsnip and the carrot were absolutely not done - very hard and difficult to even cut. I also told the waiter that the short ribs were just overwhelmed with sauce and unfortunately I think that the sauce wasnt even done well.My goal is not to bash this restaurant because I think its a refreshing change that we have restaurants like this in Turlock. But Im urging the owner to think about what hes trying to say with what you are greeted with when you walk into this place and want the menu says!I think it wants to scream unique steakhouse, but its really trying too hard and it doesnt have a steak to go with the steakhouse!Lots of potential here. Hoping for the best!The staff is absolutely amazing, attentive and very friendly from the bartenders, to the wait staff, to the greeter.

This place was wonderful. Every part of the meal was flavorful and exquisite. Our server, Forrest was the best! If I find myself in Turlock again, I’m eating there. 😊Meet Forrest, server extraordinaire. Yes, I am posting about a server. I have had some amazing service, but Forrest is on another level. His knowledge about the food and methods at this restaurant and the way he described the menu made us practically taste the food before ordering it. Super thoughtful, professional and an asset to the Roth Social House. Keep on doing an amazing job, Forrest.

I’m continuously impressed with Roth’s attention to detail, amazing food and drinks each time I visit. We opted for patio seating which was just as nice as inside. I asked for salmon with my pasta and it was amazing! The hummus appetizer was plenty for a party of four and the basque cheesecake was the perfect final touch to the meal.

Wonderful surprise to find this gem during our road trip! Stunned to see this level of aesthetics and worlds gourmet foods (e.g. spices and sauces only epicurean would recognize) in this little industrial town. Would definitely visit again for that Nashiville chicken sandwich and Korean chicken Bao.

My husband and I are regulars and no matter what we order, or who our server is, we ALWAYS have a wonderful time. The food is exceptional, the drinks are the best in town, especially the peaches and dreams. I HIGHLY recommend the crispy rice cakes and prawn and white sauce pizza. It is on the expensive side, but worth every penny!

First time at this beautiful new restaurant and it has bakery too!The food looks amazing and it tastes great. Mario our server was welcoming and helpful on decisions. We loved his understanding to our questions which made us feel comfortable.The chocolate cake was taken home because there was no room at the time.The steak was very good and tender. Worth the money and time.The Thai lollipops made of chicken were very good and I took half home. They will beat KFC any day!!!Definately going back again. A lot more to try and explore from the Bar and Bakery.

Ive been here twice now and both times the food was amazing! We ordered a total of 2 cocktails and 1 mocktail, 1 appetizer, 2 generously large entrees and a slice chocolate cake to share - the total came out to $112 which is not bad at all. I will be coming back again and again. The food was fresh and there was no shortage of healthy options.

The food was delicious, the drinks were inventive and tasty, the ambiance was trendy and loved the gold utensils. We have made reservations to eat there for valentines so that should be good too!Update for valentines: it was beyond a 5 star meal, we both got drinks, entrees, split an appetizer and split a dessert with a desert cocktail. The total was $140 for above mentioned courses, so gives you an idea on price. It’s absolutely worth it, the chef is beyond his years with innovation and taste pairings! Will go back again!!!!! 10/10 service!My husband and I went in for an anniversary dinner and we had the best experience here! We had a reservation and were sat right away. We were served by Mario, who was so attentive and hospitable to us. When we first sat down we were in a booth next to a large, kind of loud party, which we didn’t mind at all ( they were just having a good time lol ), and we didn’t even ask to move. However Mario offered us a quieter table which we didn’t say no to and that was so sweet of him.We had the focaccia bread appetizer with tomato infused olive oil. My husband had the salmon and I had the Korean braised short ribs. Then we were gifted the cheesecake as an anniversary dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious and came out in perfect timing.Between the amazing food and the exceptional service we will definitely come back!

We stopped here to check it out after a little shopping. The girls enjoyed the sparkling raspberry lemonade. Tried the wood-fired pizzas. Wild mushroom was my favorite. The little one liked the spicy pepperoni. Coffee service was fun. But dessert was the best. Basque cheesecake and pot de creme. Service was attentive and patient. We appreciated the recommendations. Me and my family went to this restaurant. We ordered a couple of steaks and some chicken. The steaks had a very disgusting smell the four-piece chicken that I ordered had a piece of paper in there. This place is horrible and I will never go back there again.The funny part about everything is they still charged us. Unbelievable shame on you guys.

My husband and I wanted to try something new, and Im glad we did. All around great experience. From the drinks, appetizer, to the main dishes, the food was AMAZING! Turlock has really stepped up their dinning options. Roth social house is a beautiful option for social dinning/date night. We have here an hour before closing, tired from an all day softball tournament, and the staff warmly welcomed our party of 8. Our party ordered the hummus, the focaccia bread, deviled eggs, and the ceviche. The ceviche really surprised us. It did not look appetizing to be honest because it’s not what I’m used to. We loved it! It had pickled onions and jalapeños, citrusy, fish, and I believe some imitation crab. The deviled eggs were good, the jalapeño on top was a good twist. The dough in the pizza was fresh, crisp, and super good! The Margherita pizza was legit! You know it’s made right when it’s done with buffalo mozzarella cheese. Focaccia bread was fresh and airy. The pita bread was huge, fresh, and the hummus was flavorful. The drinks are totally worth it! I ordered the bramble, which I totally enjoyed. My husband ordered the wake up in Tijuana and you can taste the liquor for sure. This place is definitely worth checking out if you’re passing through or here for a visit!

Awesome in every way you can want in a restaurant, upscale hidden gem in Turlock. Great food, drinks, ambiance, and service.Erika was an absolute delight the whole time even when the restaurant seemed to be at its busiest.Thai lollipops were a perfect recommendation for and appetizer, spicy vodka for myself was just the right amount of heat and flavor to compliment each other, my wife got the Korean Short Rib which looked amazing and she was not trying to share even a bite lol.Great selection on drinks the seasonal menu has perfect flavors for this valley heat can’t go wrong with any decision there.

It is not a place that you would expect for the are that it is in. It is impressive as soon as you walk in the door. I came in with my son on Friday night. The hosts were quick and accommodating. The server was great, just the right amount attentive and kind. The deserts were wonderful. Total dining cost $150.00In the Branzino I ordered, there was a very long, dark hair. My hair is short and silver so this was clearly not my own, and I sent it back. While the server ensured I got a new plate without the extra ingredient, a few best practices were missed for an establishment wanting to give the upscale experience.No lead or manager stopped by the table after a plate was sent back (though a FOH was engaging with every other table around us, just not us), no comp was applied in any way to the meal. In fact, at the end of the meal I had to advocate on my own for it to be addressed. I was told they could only give me a desert to go home. I had just paid for 2 deserts, I dont see how thats in any way a solution.There were several people who handle food walking around with hair down and unrestricted, so I can see how this would easily happen.They really missed the mark on this one. Had there been follow-up, I would have omitted the poor experience altogether. These risks are easily mitigated in both prevention and appropriate response. Unfortunately, that wasnt the case.

Food was ok but pretty pricey. My ribeye was supposed to be medium rare it was barely past rare. The chimichurri on the steak was really good. Wifes pasta was good lacked a little something flavor wise. Service was good until Food came out then seemed to change. Both of us wanted more water but never got it. We told the hostess we wanted to sit on the patio, she took us to a booth inside. Told her again we wanted the patio gave us a tall table with hard uncomfortable chairs. When a booth opened I asked to be moved. You could try it but Id go to table 26 instead.

They did a really nice job on the inside and upgraded this place. It is very modern. Thats about all the nice things I have to say. Drinks were sticky and messy. Food quantity to price was so dismal. One little octopus leg for an appetizer. Appetizers are probably per person, or shared between two people. Food was either overcooked, bland, or too salty, the pizza was so oily it was not appetizing at all. I will definitely not be going back. There are much better options in town for the amount of money we spent and the quantity and quality we got was subpar. You will be wasting your money if you go here. Find an alternative. Dont go here.

We had 2 pizzas the margerita and pepperoni pizza both were made just right. I also a steak that I wanted medium rare which was perfectly cooked. The staff was very polite and attentive to anything we needed, there was no problems with anything that was ordered. This was our second time eating at Roth Social. The food was fantastic, our waiter Forest was fabulous, and we were already planning on what we would order the next time we visited. Then we saw a waitress pick a lime off the floor and put it back in someone’s drink before she delivered them. This probably won’t deter us from coming back, but I wouldn’t want to be sitting in her section!

We were there for our Easter brunch/lunch. The whole place abuzz. Great energy and vibe but a bit too loud. Had a Bramble and an Old Fashion. Drinks Were amazing!! Very Cute Place!I been here 2x, even though it has been up and running for awhile...thought the atmosphere was great, decor nice, trendy spot...I do recommend in the Market side, for coffees, quick bites and sweets, they A) keep the pace flowing and not have a customer wait for over 15 minutes for a latte and to heat up a danish for dine in service.Especially when there was only 3 of us and another couple that was already served. Also, have more variety of sweets in the glass case, they ran out of items again. Price is moderate, as like others, not an issue. I did like their sandwiches, but do recommend for the BLT they not over cook the bacon and make it not so chewy even though it was thick cut. I felt at times it was hard eat it. love the place, just a few things to work out. Will return again!

One of my friends heard about this place and wanted us to go try it out. It’s about 40 minutes from where we live but we decided to check it out because we like to try out new places. It did not disappoint! The food was amazing! We all got something different and we all loved the food! I got the burger and fries and it was definitely one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The staff was great and we loved the ambiance of the restaurant. We will definitely be coming back often. 10/10 would recommend for a nice place with great food!

We had such high hopes and wears really looking forward to a great place to eat so close to home. Boy we’re we disappointed. The one star is for the server, she was great. The food was not good and way over priced for what you get. We were there over 2 hours and never got the sides we had to order separately from a $62 steak- it came with zero sides! The drinks were $15, average price for a cocktail but half the size of usual drinks. Our kids food finally came out as we were about done with ours and the pizza was doughy and undercooked. The service manager kept blaming it on everyone else and had horrible customer service. They offered us a discount for our long wait and missing food, server brought our tag; $189. The service manager said wait I’m going to give you a bigger discount. Came back with tag-$211! He lowered the discount and would not budge to even honor the first discount we received. The service manager kept saying “well you ate the food” he was very defensive and rude. Will NEVER visit this place again. If you’re looking for local fine dining go to The Elegant Bull or Cuts instead.

Let’s just say we know we will pay quite a bit, per couple, when we meet for dinner, so the final bill was not surprising. It’s on the high end for Turlock restaurant prices. Again, wonderful food and cocktails are worth it.The food did not disappoint. A crispy rice - ahi tuna appetizer was delicious. We loved the grilled octopus app and the wild mushroom pizza. We also enjoyed the gnocchi entree, though it was a little light on the gnocchiOur server, Mario, was attentive, kind and knowledgeable. The bartender makes a fabulous old fashionedBut the atmosphere, oh my goodness. The music was so, so loud. We could not hear each other across the table. Again, dinner is our weekly social activity. We do not go to clubs, we go to dinner…..To have conversation. We asked our server if they could turn down the music (at the risk of being known as the old people in the corner). They did, but it still was too much to enjoy our evening togetherAs we left, our friend mentioned to the hostess that we loved the food and service, but we could not carry on a decent conversation over the music. She replied, “yeah, we get that a lot”We clearly are not their demographic. What a shame.If Bon Jovi, John Mellencamp, and other similar artists are your thing, you will love the atmosphere. If you dine out and want the music to be part of the background, this is not the place for you. We enjoy dining out, not dining in a club. We were there at 6:30, which seems like normal dinner time, where music should be in the background. As we left, I noticed an older couple at a table, holding their ears. The gentleman that sat us, was at the bar having a good time with the bar tender and two other people. There was only one other couple in the restaurant at the time. The WORST service I have experienced in a very long time. The appetizers came out with the entrees, not to mention the food came out in stages meaning while some had food others did not, or when they got their food in came parts. The fish and chips or should I say fish sticks and day old fries. Horrible!!! When the manager was summoned he came out a full 15min later and seemed to be more interested in the gym than his restaurant offered NO apology, had no business cards, and was competely blasè. The server should be fired. Never checked back (5 bite rule) and had zero menu knowlege. I rarely leave bad reviews but this was completely gross and uncalled for. Cancel your lunch hour, go to a 4pm Tuesday thru Sunday. Leave Monday and Tuesdays to train you and your staff!

First time here, traveling for work. Ordered the Salmon. Poorly executed dish from design to delivery. Pan seared salmon was mushy and a little greasy, to achieve a crisp skin they over cooked the meat leaving it w/o the firm texture that should be present in any salmon dish, the rice was under seasoned and over cooked, the purée was nonexistent in the dish flavorless and uninspired.On the positive the wine was good, a Rombaur Chard, and the bartender, Tatianna, was very cute. The check was $82.54🙄. There has to be a better experience in Terdlock for that kind of money. One and done!

Jason the bar manager was a delight! Jenna was attentive and sweet! We really enjoyed our visit! Everyone loved the food! Pizzas were baked in oven to perfection! Our only downer was that the corkage fee was 25.00.... Turlock is not the City! And we get they want to sell their alcohol...but that was steep. Otherwise thank you for a lovely evening! I eat out way too much & if you do too than you are probably also sick of having the same old thing in Turlock. This place is just what us foodies needed here! I’ve been several times already and I’ve not been disappointed yet. The food is *chef kisses*, the craft cocktails are delicious and the ambiance is relaxed and classy.I recommend making a reservation. This place is pop’n. Can’t wait until it cools down because their patio is gorgeous with a big beautiful fireplace. AND they are going to have a market soon with a cafe and local delicacies for sale. Definitely bringing up the stock of our little town. There’s not another place like it locally. Try it.

Absolutely amazing. I run a restaurant in Arizona, I am originally from Hughson, while in town I stumbled across Roth social house. Some of the reviews about portion size and discounts are laughable. I will definitely be bringing a few of the ideas from this restaurant back to Arizona with me. I had the heirloom tomato salad and Copper Penny to drink, neither disappointed. I took the tres leches to go which was later devoured. The service was great, the food hit every mark, and the hand crafted cocktail was to die for. Price was appropriate for the artistry and quality of the food, drinks, and environment. Prices are up at every restaurant across the nation so I was glad to pay for a top notch meal and enjoyable experience. I am usually a tough critic, but I truly have no complaints. Turlock is lucky to have a place with class and quality. This restaurant definitely adds value to the entire community.

Very nice setting, OK food but unfortunately horrendous service. When we arrived, it took 15 minutes to get seated when only 2 tables in the whole restaurant were full. It was a very long wait for everything…drink orders, food orders, getting the check, paying the check. Our kids were falling asleep at the end of the meal from waiting so long. The food was just ok. The Nashville chicken sandwich, salmon and pizzas were the better things we ate. The beet salad had no lettuce, tri tip sandwich meat was cut way too thick, and the mac and cheese with “herbed bread crumbs” was bland with salad croutons on top. Overall, especially for this price, the service and food did not deliver.

Our group was hungry so we decided to order several items. :-) Our server was very accommodating and we were checked on several times by managers to ensure our experience was top notch. Our food and drinks were brought to our table in perfect timing. As for my favs. Starters: I absolutely loved the deviled eggs, perfect spice accompanied by a nice rich flavor. Entrees: You cant go wrong with the Flat Iron, Burger and Chicken. (Didnt I mention we were hungry.) For sides I liked the homemade Kennebec French Fries and the Brentwood corn (a local favorite) Now for the dessert, Tres Leches cake was to die for you can tell it was handcrafted by the Pastry Chef. MIND BLOWN! I don’t normally write reviews; however, I am in shock and utter amazement with Roth Social House. This place is more than somewhere to go when you are hungry, it was an experience from start to finish from the ambience to the custom cocktails. I had the Roth old fashioned which was superb. I would have to say the bartenders are more of mixologists. They hand crafted our drinks to not only aesthetically please, but capture the taste of every ingredient to perfection. Our table shared the meatballs, focaccia bread, and deviled eggs as starters. The starters were delectable and finally a restaurant where someone knows how to deliver a REAL deviled egg. My husband had the Roth burger and I had Mary’s chicken with crispy brussel sprouts and grilled corn. All I can say is every tastebud in my mouth was exploding with delight. This place has definitely surpassed all other restaurants in the valley as my go to spot. I’m hooked.

We went there recently and had an ok time. Meaning the food was palatable as well as the service. I wasnt going to post a review until I took a look at the reviews here and the responses from the management/owner which was disconcerting to say the least. Just about every response to a complaint was exactly the same. It feels like someone just cuts and pasted the standard default response which is well poor customer service.One could easily infer that the complaint was never even read by management. How can anyone or establishment grow and change for the better if one doesnt take into consideration the thoughts, experiences and well feelings someone has while taking part of a dining experience?Anyway, these are just my thoughts on the matter. I will personally giving it another go at Roth and I hope to witness their evolution into the best restaurant they can be

I went with my family and we loved it, it was something different for us and very tasty 😋 the meats were delicious, I ordered a ceviche Im from Sinaloa and their style is very different I liked it, it was delicious, the green papaya salad was unbeatable, yes they like to try something different chef style this place is the one😊
