2023-07-24 03:32:51We have been ordering takeout from this place since the start of the pandemic and have always enjoyed their food. We finally made a trip down to dine in. We were seated at the chef table since we did not have a reservation. We ordered the fried oyster, gumbo, and shrimp étouffée. Enjoyed all three dishes. The pickle really added a dimension with the fried oyster dish. The gumbo had a nutty flavor to it that made it uniquely savory. The shrimp étouffée sauce was very flavorful, and yet, not overly heavy. The place itself has a uniquely New Orlean feel to it. We will definitely be back!

2023-06-03 03:43:49Wow! Excellent spot. The spicy shrimp was, possibly, the best shrimp dish I have ever had. The jambalaya was spicy and spectacular with everything prepared just perfectly. I highly recommend and will be returning again soon.

2022-10-04 11:46:23Very small, intimate and private restaurant with very good service. Due to the size may need a reservation to get in. We got the Shrimp Etouffe, the Catfish and the Peach and Blueberry Pie for dessert. Well presented and rounded dishes, nothing to blow up our minds but pretty good.

2022-01-25 18:40:34The experience was wonderful. The service, ambiance and food were terrific. The cauliflower and fried green tomatoes appetizers were delicious. I had the shrimp and grits as my entree and the corn bread pudding as a side for the table. There wasnt anything on the table that wasnt prepared properly. Everything we had was flavorful and intentional. The cobbler that we had for dessert was good but, in my opinion, not as good as the rest of the meal. The ambiance was charming and the prices were reasonable. The service was impeccable.

2022-03-07 19:00:18On point restaurant. Everything was delicious. I do not have a lot of experience with creole cuisine but I can say everything was very enjoyable. The place is small, the bar area is very comfortable. Shrimp and grits were super rich in flavor and texture.

2023-02-02 06:01:48This was a taste of NOLA on the west coast. The rue on the Gumbo was spot on dark color. My preference is a little thicker on the rue but still wonderful. I was worried they would not have any Louisiana hot sauce or at least a cayenne hot sauce but glory be they did. Next time in town hitting the jambalaya. Outstanding job you guys.

2023-10-22 06:16:13Ordered two kids Mac & Cheese, the Catfish Orleans and Shrimp Etoufee and sadly they were from poor to unremarkable. Kiddo Mac & Cheese came with watery cheese sauce and gummy grated cheese on top, which channeled Costco. Virtually tasted of nothing. Chick-Fil-As Mac is honestly better and we had to send both back. The waitress kept trying to get us to over order, which I didnt like. The suggestion to add shrimp to the kiddo Mac seemed helpful, but my son who eats curry couldnt stomach it due to the amount of chili powder. Again, not the hallmark of good service. The Catfish came out after less than 10mins and so was obviously precooked and tasted microwaved, evidenced by the soggy breading. The grits I subbed from the herb rice looked great, but the jus just didnt hit and tasted of nothing. The Shrimp Etoufee flattered to deceive, again the biggest let down was the lack of unity the dish had in terms of what it was trying to achieve and poor blending of too many flavors. Id eaten here a couple of years ago and thought it was ok, but upon return I can safely say Ill never go back. The wine was well chilled, but I had really hoped for a beer and they had none. Ive had Creole cuisine in various parts of the Creole community and this just doesnt justify the price tag. Ambience is nice, but the waitress was standoffish when we voiced our concerns and I was left with little choice but to forego a tip. I hope they up their game, since the concept, venue and atmosphere remain compelling..
