Horrible. I ordered the potato skins. I basically paid $ 12 for 2.5 potatoes. There was little to zero cheese on them. Minimal bacon, and scattered green onions. I have never been so disappointed. I also the the chicken and rice soup. It was so salty I could barely choke it down. Apparently to make the food editable the have to salt it to point thats all you can taste. Sadly I wont be going back

I have lived in Ventura for quite a while now and Im glad that this deli exists! I grew up in LA and I miss seeing similar delis like these in various areas - especially in the Westside and San Fernando Valley. Its rare to find a good deli in Ventura / Oxnard / Port Hueneme.I really appreciate the decor, personability and extensive menu options that this deli provides. Even as I placed my order, Mike (the manager) was talking with me. Within a matter of minutes, my order was ready to go! They are on point! And their dessert options... OMG! So many!!! Definitely check these guys out when you have a chance! And... Mike is super awesome. Great person - and... so is the rest of the amazing team that works there (who I saw there at least). They are very kind, sincere and know how to do things right - :)I am so glad that these guys have been able to survive these past few years. Seems like these guys are a local institution. Thats a really big deal!Keep up the great work you guys!

Every-time I have eaten in this deli, I ask myself why do I bother. The food is really boring and bland. The first time I had a tuna sandwich and my guy had a tuna salad, we both ended up with food poisoning. Never to be eaten again. Unfortunately, there is really nothing I could suggest that is good. The food pretty much sucks and the sports on tv any hour of the day, just makes this place worse, I didnt know this was also trying to be a sports bar!!!

Nice clean place with good service. Very unimaginative menu with VERY AVERAGE food. This establishment seems to be geared to older Americans with tame pallets and the unadventurous. Charged a dollar extra for each egg entree as the price of eggs are elevated now. We were made aware of the extra charge after we finished our meal - Nice touch.

This place was very disappointing..I ordered a tri tip sandwich and there was three tiny pieces of dry over cooked meat. I was very polite and asked for something else..and the waitress was very snarky. It was pretty much empty so she was not to busy. I could not understand how she was upset when I was expecting a tri tip sandwich for 13 bucks on a brillo Mexican roll and tomatoes with hardly meat.

Found this place by accident. And can I tell you what a Gem it is. Service was beyond top notch. Own a very helpful and friendly. Being from New York I know Delis. The food was Excellent and Plentiful. I had a corned beef and roast beef sandwich with Fries. And my friend had an Overflowing Omelette. If youre in Oxnard I would definitely check out this place.

I was only there picking up a delivery order and as my first experience with this establishment I cant say Id dine here. The lady is not very friendly. I heard her on the phone telling the person we close at 2 by 2 we are gone I get wanting to get off work and having things you need to do but I also feel your customer should feel wanted and appreciated. There are so many restaurants to go to, make them want to come to you. Just my thoughts on customer service.

Id give it negative stars, if I could. Hands down the worst Jewish deli Ive ever been to. The latkes were a terrible texture, not cooked right (nearly burnt on the outside and raw on the inside), and dripping with grease. My husbands sandwich was subpar and dripping with grease, as well. The chicken in the matzo ball soup was so over cooked, it was a dry, rubbery mess I couldnt even choke down. Even the potato salad was somehow bad.

Some of the workers were nice. The server was very rude. Im mostly disappointed that my kids were served raw chicken. I mean completely raw chicken pink and all. My kids most likely will be sick tomorrow. Check your food!! Called today and said it happens. Im sorry but in the food business raw chicken doesnt just happen. Get a new cook get a new owner. Will not be coming back waste of time and money. Lucky I dont sue

I heartily recommend Roxbury Deli. Their food is so good and there are so many choices of entrees it’s unbelievable. They also have phenomenal desserts as well with the seven layer chocolate cake and more. My wife and I often bring visitors there because it is always good! The ONLY downside is that they are understaffed periodically and will be closed early without warning. Hopefully, this problem will go away when more people go back to work.

I noticed immediately how clean it was, from the shiny polished floors that theyve meticulously kept up for over 20+ years, since the first day they opened. (I asked). I politely asked to use their restrooms which I was pleased & relieved to find very well kept up & sanitized. Mama always said if a bathroom is clean, then a kitchen follows suit! This place has gone downhill. I have eaten there before with good food and service. We went there on a Monday morning and the place only had a few people inside. The waitress had an attitude and messed up our orders. My wife’s order was delivered wrong, an omelette, and the correct omelette was delivered after everyone was finished eating. The biscuits and gravy were bland. The biscuits were hard and tasted old and not enough gravy. The eggs had no flavor. The only good part of the breakfast was the bacon and pancakes. $100 for 3 adults and 3 kids under 10. I won’t be back! Too many other options for breakfast at that price.

This is mine and my husbands favorite diner in all of Ventura County. I am a local resident and have been for 28 years. The service here is always on point. Breakfast is what we always go for but their pizza, deli sandwiches, and their fried pickles are a few of our other menu favorites. Desert is a must try. Just look at their cake display at the entrance of the restaurant and you will know why. We were introduced to this place by my parents almost 10 years ago and it has been a regular spot for my husband, myself, and many of our family and friends.

This Roxsbury has been around for awhile and I actually got to eat from here first time... and I had my food delivered to my 🏠 and well it was very good and I had a western bacon cheeseburger that burger was soo very juicy and fresh and cooked to perfection and the fries and onion rings were delicious 😋😄 very tremendously delicious / the only thing is that the prices were a little too expensive😐😠! Even though the prices were a bit expensive😐, the food was still very delicious... I will definitely order food from here again, thank you🥰 for all the very scrumptious delicious food 😋😋😋

If anyone knows about Peggy Sue’s on your way to Vegas, this would be considered it’s sister in a whole different way. Friendly staff and feels like home. Came here for the first time with recommendation from local folks that comes here often . A local restaurant that has plenty of free parking, they have a large menu to choose from .Food tasted fresh, nothing that has been sitting on the grill for a while . The waitress seemed super busy even though the restaurant wasn’t full . I did wish she would have taken a moment, to listen to everything I had to say before she would leave right away . That way she would not have had to keep coming back and forth .Did try the carrot cake, but it was a bit dry . Maybe it had something to do since it was already sliced up . We were the first customer that morning, so that cake was from the night before .

Been going there for nearly 20 years-- great staff, the manager and/or owner are always there helping out and talking with customers. So many menu choices! My favorites are any of the breakfasts and the chili size burger and the Monte Christo (done french toast style, not deep fried). Sometimes a short wait on Sunday mornings but worth it. LOTS of TVs to show whatever games are on or the news. And dont forget to check out the revolving dessert case-- death by chocolate cake, napoleons, cheesecakes, there are so many delicious options.

This website states that the Roxbury is still open - IT IS NOT!!! Tonight is the third time I have tried to get food, at or near 8:30. Each time, even though all the lights were on and the door unlocked and the front door clearly marked closing was at 9:00, I was told the restaurant was closed. Perhaps the sign should read closes sometime after 8:00!??! Very disappointed again!

We love Roxsbury Deli. The menu has so many options, its easy to come for any meal, with anyone. I usually have the eggs benedict that they happily sub avocado for the meat options. I also love their potato pancakes, tuna melts, and nachos! If youre looking for loads of choices (all delicious), give them a try. It is a sad reminder of the ever failing mom and pop businesses, I had eaten at Roxburys since I was a young child but walking in yesterday was a huge disappointment not only was it a shadow of its former glory, it also seems to have tried to hold on to the interior design of a time long past. Getting thru the entrance was a man waiting to rush me to order my to go order. He had barley handed over the menu before standing over me asking if I already knew what I wanted, I felt rushed and when I said just a second he scoffed and continued to hover over me, when I picked up the menu and walked a way from the bar seating he started yelling at the waitress over what seemed to me to be nit picking. I reluctantly placed my order and waited, what I saw next was awful, he stood behind the counter yelling at all of his staff. I keep thinking...damn this place is right out of one of those tv shows kitchen nightmare or bar rescue! He seriously needs to have John from bar rescue come and show him how to run a diner cause he is failing. I decided to wait till I got home to make a review Im all for fairness I was really hoping that the food would make up for the awful mannered owner and the stuck in the early 90s decor but sadly it did not.

Ordered Corned Beef and Cabbage and Matzoball soup. The corned beef was dry, the cabbage was flavorless. The soup was the most disappointing. The chicken was tough and bland and the matzoball just sad. If you want to eat at a great deli, try Danny’s. This was a huge bummer.
