This buffet is a real treat. I love being able to try a little bit of everything… and everything is really good. Lots of options for vegetarians and lots of options for meat eaters too. The price is reasonable for an all you can eat place.

I had lunch for the first time at Royal Indian Cuisine in Auburn recently and was so happy that I did! The food is fresh, comforting, and delicious. There are a fair number of choices, and I finally decided on the saag paneer and tandoori chicken along with two types of naan bread. One kind had soft cheese and onions on top and I really enjoyed that. The staff are very polite and kind. I cant wait to go back there!

I absolutely frickn love this place. I am an avid spice lover and too offen indian restaurants pass off excessive amounts of turmeric to replace a true Garam Masala. The spices are always true and authentic. Biryani, Masala, Vindaloo, Samosas, all perfectly and appropriately seasoned. Warning! Yes this is real indian food and may have flavors you may not be used to. Be open minded and enjoy!

Okay, it’s about time I write them a glowing review.They’ve been open a few weeks now and we’ve probably been here seven or eight times, at least.We’ve done buffet, ordered from the menu, and let them make recommendations, and we have never been disappointed.We just went there tonight, and the buffet selection was wonderful.Always rotating a great mix of dishes, including several vegan dishes (if you roll that way).Great for couples, or large groups.

Youve gotta take a chance and try this place! The food is so delicious and the prices are crazy good. The server and busser were super friendly and gave some amazing dish recommendations. I fed eight of us for less than two bills. Now my belly is full and Im looking forward to the next time we go. The spicy food wasnt crazy hot but just right and hella good flavor. I highly recommend the lamb. Its super tender. Seriously, check them out. 🤙🏼

We are so glad to be out dining again in 2021. The Royal Cuisine is one of our favorite Indian restaurants. It is always “very” clean and they even have a bottle of hand sanitizer for each table now.The server’s are very attentive to the customers to make sure they are enjoying their meal. The food is cooked to perfection. The meat is tender and not over spicy. I would share a picture of the Naan bread, but it was so good that I already ate it.

Awesome vegetarian selection and options! Our first time eating out since quarantine ended and felt super safe in their restaurant. We had lentil soup, garlic naan, chilli paneer, Ali gooby, spicy eggplant mush and rice. Wow! So delicious! It was served family style, so we were able to share everything too. Friendly service. Definitely would recommend and come back!

Absolutely the best Indian food in Auburn. (Only?) And many times better than some restaurants in the Sacramento area.Staff are always courteous and knowledgeable on the meals.Food is always fresh and delicious.I dont like Veggie samosas, but this place changed my mind.Ive yet to do the buffet but have had lunch and dinner many times, everything is good.Best garlic naan Ive ever had.Recommend the Tikka Missala and Mali Kofta.

When me and my wife first visited the Royal Indian Quisine we had been living in Southern California (prior to visiting Auburn for the holidays) where we had been spoilt by delicious Indian cuisine at a vegetarian restaurant that doubled as a supermarket called Namaste Spice. And coming from Eswatini; a country where Indian Cuisine was rich, spicy and flavorful I once again was spoilt. Royal Indian cuisine did not disappoint! I had the Vegetable Biryani and it was flavorful, the potatoes were prepared to perfection and the portions were huge! My wife had the Paneer Butter Masala with a side of naan. Highly recommend Royal cuisine to everyone! Attached is a picture of the Vegetable Biryani! Enjoy!

The food at this place is ON POINT!! Lots of options at the buffet from vegetarian to chicken and goat, they have it all for just $16.99 plus salad and dessert!!Service was pretty good. They forgot our plates and drink refills but were friendly.This is a must try if you like Indian or are trying for the first time. Chicken korma is AMAZING!

First two orders were door dash. Never ordered that way before and had my doubts. The food came and was actually still hot. The food was spectacular, with signature flavors and prefect food combos. Everything was delicious. We ordered twice and the 3rd visit was in the restaurant. Sad to say the food was hotter and better when delivered door dash. Portions were easily twice as big and hotter when ordered. Inside order got confused and was delivered out of rythem. The rice was absolutely cold. The entire meal was cold except the food that arrived on a skillet. Needless to say, the buffet will be attempted and at minimum, door dash is reliable. Food was good, just too cold. Bummer. For $115 for 4 people and the only ones inside- there is no excuse for cold food served out of order and separate.

I have enjoyed eating here with my family on multiple occasions. Every time the buffet food is very tasty with excellent friendly service! The only down side for me is that is it all tastes so good, that I eat more than I should but I do enjoy everybite. If you are in the area check it out. I just hope my review doesnt cause this wonderful place to get so busy, that I have to wait a long time for a table, next time I visit.

I love this place. The food is consistently delicious. I mainly go on the weekend for the buffet. They have a decent mix of meat and vegetarian dishes at the buffet and a small salad bar/desert station. Oh and dont miss the hot chai tea and gulab jamun for desert. The naan is some of the best that Ive had. For those that dont like buffets they also have many options on their menu to choose from.

Its too pricey for a 5 item main entree buffet. Also, there are not a lot of dishes in their buffet for vegetarians. Then again, they do have the market cornered for Indian cuisine in Auburn to be able to charge a steep price. If youre willing to make the drive into Roseville, you could pay the same price for ten main dishes to choose from for a buffet, and with a great selection of vegetables and meat dishes, a salad bar, Chai tea, and mango ice cream! Weve had Royal Indians lunch and dinner buffet, the food was tasty, however, for the amount we pay... not woth it. Might I suggest adding more dishes to your buffet, at least for your dinner buffet.

One star, if that. First and foremost, never order through Doordash, especially Indian food. Secondly, this restaurant didnt really pay much attention to my order as one item (the raita) was missing and the palak paneer and roti were not very tasty at all. The roti tasted more burnt than anything else. I have had plenty of indian food in my time and this place definitely does not even come close. Next time, please pay attention to those Doordash orders and ensure that all of the order is complete before sending them off. Secondly, your food definitely needs some major adjustments. Sorry!

Fantastic Indian food. I was very satisfied with my dinner. It’s very clean, workers don’t talk much, but still nice. I love their butter chicken, tandoori chicken leg, naan, garlic naan, and so much more. This place was recommended to me by the optician down the road. She told me if I ever crave Indian food, to come here. Now I know the place to go to when those cravings kick in.

I like to eat vegetarian; my wife likes some meat, plenty of choice either way. Prices are good, service is good, and the food always digests well. Their selection of Asian beers is fascinating and all are good. My wife is always pleased with the wine. One of my two favorite dining places in Auburn.

We ate here for the first time a few weeks ago and both of us loved the food. I was planning to order from the menu, however the buffet was so robust and looked so good, we both selected it. I have been eating Indian cuisine for a long time and for over the 30 years I lived in Marin, found a number of great places. After moving to Placer Country a few years ago, its wonderful to now have a local spot with food that is this delicious and welcoming. Im a foodie and highly recommend this awesome restaurant.

We went here for the first time yesterday and ordered from the buffet for lunch. So many delicious vegan and vegetarian/dairy free options! Better than most of the Indian restaurants I went to in the UK, and they’re known for great Indian food. I loved that they didn’t make the dishes too spicy either, even my 2 year old could handle it.

We dined on a Thursday evening, the restaurant was very quiet. Service was prompt though wife felt the staff seemed cold. Salad had browned ice burg lettuce so I only ate the tomatoes. Staff missed our order of garlic naan and brought it out when reminded. The naan had a fairly uncooked texture and lacked the flaky naan we were looking forward to. I ordered the Goat Curry which is served on the bone. It was very tender but I was disappointed with the seasoning. The best part of the meal was the fried vegetables and the green sauce they provide with it.

The buffet is open! Which is nice. I missed the buffet. But I did get to try dishes I wouldnt have while they had only ordering from the menu available this past year. Havent had a thing I didnt like. Though the vindaloo is too spicy for me most days. I usually order a #3 spiciness when I eat Thai food. It is good though; My friend likes spice and he loves the vindaloo.They have one side of the buffet line open, so half the selection, presumably a covid precaution. So so flavourful! Just enough spice but you can still taste all the flavour. The restaurant smells so good and they give you good quantities for the price. My entree came with rice whereas other places have you pay extra for rice. Delicious vegetarian options! You can ask to make it vegan of you wish.

First time in this establishment to try out the lunch buffet. I wasnt sure what to expect but I wanted an opportunity to try different Indian based cuisines that I typically wouldnt try. I have to say, wow, there was not one dish in the buffet set up that was not amazing. Perfect blend of spices and cooked perfectly to where the meat literally melted in your mouth. Complete sensory gratification at its finest. I will most definitely be back.

I love this place! My husband and I have gone to many Indian restaurants in this area and hands down this place is the best! You can get the buffet or order from the menu. The service is fast, the staff is friendly and the food is freaking fantastic!!! And the pricing is very reasonable. We went to a place in Lincoln and spent nearly $60 as where here we pay around $30 for the same thing. If you like delicious Indian food, come to here!

Was pleasantly surprised that they had buffet. However, the only good thing in the buffet was samosa and chai. I went for only the vegetarian stuff. The pakoras are supposed to be oily but not that much. Its like they fried them in not hot enough oil. The tamarind chutney was good. The rice and veggie rice were ok. The daal makhani and cheese masala were so so. I think they would have been better if they were hot. The palak was fine but again, needed to be warmer. The naan was very good. For dessert, they had gulabjamun. It was like they messed up in soaking it correctly because the syrup only soaked through a think layer and the insides were pretty hard. The service was good otherwise I would have given one star.

Best Indian food in Auburn!Unfortunately the buffet is closed at this time due to Covid-19 regulations in Placer county. Ordered takeout ala cart. Chicken Vindaloo while tasty was very hot!! I like spicy food as I lived in Thailand for many years but this was extremely hot!! My wife had the Lamb curry and found it very nice. Both dishes came with option of rice or Nan. I chose the Nan and it was very nice. Menue seems extensive and complete. So if you are looking for something different and tasty give this place a try. Prices are moderate.

It comes with a cilantro based dip that is pretty good. 10/10Chicken: We ordered one dish, chicken tikka Marsala. The chicken is moist, nothing to complain or praise. However, the sauce is is excellent. We ended up using the sauce and just eating it with the rice once the chicken was done. Clearly they put care into their dishes. 8/10Overall, 9/10. Moved back to Auburn after 8 years in Ohio. I ate a LOT of Indian food in Columbus, it’s my sons favorite food. And many options there. Was so delighted and surprised this place is here. Had the buffet lunch yesterday and was thrilled with the quality. All of my favorites and so much more...tandoori chicken, tikka masala, makhani, biryani, pakora, samosa, Chana masala, korma, vindaloo, lamb kofta, and several lovely vegetable dishes. A big deal for me when I eat Indian is the freshness, the naan and the chai tea...all 3 were a homerun. The naan and chai tea were so yummy. Of course I have to top off a meal with knee, theirs is so good. I also tried a carrot dessert that was a sweet/savory divine treat. Please try this place. Keep coming to the buffet for lunch or dinner. Let’s support this delightful gem of a restaurant. The buffet is ever changing so you can try new things each time. Indian food is so good for you...I truly believe there is magic in those spices. People who’ve read articles between the link of Indian spices and lack of dementia & Alzheimer’s in India know what I’m talking about. Indian food just makes me feel good. Love this place. Went in on a spur of the moment decision with my girlfriend and we ended up loving it! Nice interior and atmosphere and the waitress was quick to fill our waters and refills as well. I ordered a mango lassi which I thought was nice because the sweetness was more subtle than what I was expecting (which I prefer) from other mango lassis that Ive tried. As for the food, it was all delicious as well. They brought us some hot naan to go along with everything and we were both very satisfied. I will definitely come back 👍
