I recently had the pleasure of trying the new sunday buffet at Ruchi Bothell today, and I must say, it was an absolute delight. The variety and quality of dishes were outstanding. From biryanis to the flavorful curries and tandoori items, every bite was a burst of authentic Indian flavors being a south indian really enjoyed the meal after a long time. Neverthless to mention the buffet spread catered to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian preferences, ensuring there was something for everyone. If you’re a fan of Indian cuisine or simply enjoy a good buffet, I highly recommend visiting Ruchi Bothell and indulging in their fantastic spread definetely worth a try.

I have almost been to this place every time i visit Sacramento which is almost 6-7 times a year but this time when i went there this time, the service was very very pathetic. It was only one table apart from ours and they took more than 30 mins to come take our order. And then more 45 to get order. They could not get complete order together. 1st for 2 of us and then for 1 person and then 20 mins after the 1st order came my order - when everyone at my table finished the food.They were more busy taking care of the online orders as they have to do that in certain time limit and were ignoring guests sitting in the restaurant.There were total of 3 tables occupied when i was there.Talking about food - their food quality was not good as well.Most probably i will never go to this place again.

I live 2 hours drive from Sacramento and i tried almost all restaurant upto 30miles from my home,none of those are as tasty as Ruchi Restaurant food. This place is good for Andhra and Telangana people,i assure that you will definitely like the quality, quantity and almost tastes like in our home country. I visited twice this restaurant with my friends and the quantity and taste was amazing and its not much expensive (I felt compared to other restaurants),its worth every dollar not only biryanis, we tried Veg (paneer butter masala with Garlic and Plain Naans and Paneer biryani) & Non-veg (Gongura chicken biryani and Goat/Lamb biryani),we enjoyed it. Not only Andhra and Telangana people, I Hope all South Asians enjoy the food.

Every time I visit California, I eat here, but today I showed up and the young lady is very rude. She seems like we are bothering her by doing business here. When asking for menu descriptions she was very short and spoke to us as if we should already know.Food wise, everything is delicious!!! She said they don’t make anything mild. I had curry goat, the goat briyani was especially tasty and spicy. I asked if they had any lentils and she said it’s fried. Definitely the soup I was looking for, I am sure she misunderstands fried.Great food, sad service.

This is hands down the best Indian Lunch Buffet in Natomas. Food is fresh and full of so much flavor. Ive noticed the food isnt as spicy as when it first opened, but thats not stopping me and co-workers from coming back. Dinner is also good & amazing garlic nan!

The food is excellent! It’s not spicy at all-doesn’t set your taste buds on fire. It’s a lot better than the Indian restaurants that I tried in Stockton, CA, and the prices are more reasonable. The drawbacks are lack good service. We waited over half an hour after ordering for our food to arrive. It took 20 minutes for them to take our order.

Chili fish is delicious.The food is good. Thats all I can say.The staff is rude and in the kitchen area everyone talks about customers and makes fun of them and smiles among themselves (few speaks in hindi about customers, few in Punjabi and few in Telugu).If there is a negative review I would have given -5.If you want peace of mind and enjoy the service, this is not the place to go avoid at all costs.

Visited Ruchi for lunch buffet. They have salad, two soup options, three rice options, various Indian dishes and desert. I tried a little bit of everything and all was delicious. Not too spicy which for me is great. The staff is friendly, pick up used plates and serve you iced water quickly. We arrived around 11:30p and by 12p it was packed. Many Indian guys eat here which indicates food is good.

The food was OK, but the service and the cleanliness of the space were really bad, which just serves to make me question the food.The restaurant was REAALLY dirty. Floors were sticky and food crumbs were everywhere, including on my napkin and silverware. The bathroom was filthy. One of the toilets was broken in the women’s bathroom and the men’s bathroom was gross.The service was apathetic at best, and at one point the server tried to give us a to-go container with a mismatched lid and tried to convince us it would work. We had to insist on getting the appropriate container, as if it was a hassle for them.Suffice to say we won’t be going back. Good luck!

I tried the buffet lunch during a weekday. It was good and decent number of varieties including starters, vegetarian, chicken options. Deserts - Laddus and Ice Cream. The biryani dishes are where it is at! I got the Vijayawada Chicken Biryani and the Ulavacharu Goat Biryani and both were boasting with flavor. They do not ask for spice level here and my Indian spouse said that it was Indian level spicy. As well, my husband stated this tasted just like Indian Biryanis. Overall highly recommend this place!

Today I order take away order Paneer tikka masala and plain Naan when I reach home and saw cold and very spongy Naan which looks older than hours this is so disappointed to me. They did a joke to me. When I paid in full why this restaurant provides older and colder food to me. I threw it away. I will never recommend this restaurant.

Disappointed... We came here a month ago and the AC was not working. We came back again today and its still not working or they havent turned it on. Additionally, last time we came here the food was okay (but not great). However, this time it was very poor. I ordered the chicken biryani and the chicken was rubbery and smelled funny. My husband ordered the lamb curry lunch special and I can assure you that their meat is not fresh. The dhal that comes with the thali is bland... I saw the chef outside on his phone and brought up the chicken to him and he was arguing with me telling me that this is the first time anyones ever complained and Im like okay, Im Indian and when I make it at home and my chicken doesnt have that strange stringy/rubbery texture. We definitely will not be returning. Theres also a young woman working there who does not check on customers to see if they need anything.PS. do not drink the water that they provide. It tastes horrendous.

Great place to dine in. Amazing high quality food. Good quantity and great customer service . Every dish we ordered is a hit. Their Idli, sambar with 2 chutneys are tasting just like home made chutneys. Biriyanis taste so authentic . Gulab jamun and Rasmalai are yumm yumm. Thank you for excellent food chefs.

No Frills Indian cuisine. Went there for lunch. Although there was no lunch menu. Had a Dosa Combo with Idlis and the taste was good. Sambhar quantity could be better, as I got just under a cup of it. Also ordered a Veg Biryani, and found that Biryanis are Hyderabad style biryanis and not Lucknow styled, which means they are more pronounced in spice use, and spicier than the latter. A lunch menu would have really meant this place be bang for the buck, as the biryani was leftover and had to box the remaining.

Im from Andhra, South India and their Biryani (Vijayawada and Hyderabadi) is very authentic, tastes like the ones from back home. Actually all Andhra dishes are pretty good, love their Karvepaku chicken too, which I dont find on menu anymore :(. Their naans and Kadai chicken are good as well. Although we live in Sacramento city, we get the biryani from here & Bawarchi (Roseville area) all the time. Most of the Indian restaurants in Sacramento area, especially the ones that serve North Indian food, just mix a curry with cooked basmati rice to make Biryani. Other dishes from this restaurant can vary in taste but we always go back to our favorites.

We often order from here but now a days taste is not consistent. In complete order only few items are being good. Curries are too sweet. I know some Indian curries have that light sweetness/rich flavor but it shouldn’t taste like jam/sugar syrup. That level of sweetness it is, no flavor, same gravy for all curries just main ingredient varies. Disappointing!

This place has a great selection of food choices and the staff here are extremely welcoming. Its a very clean and quiet place which makes it ideal for families who want to to try Indian cuisines. The major cream of the crop are the exclusive off the menu items which have to be ordered directly to the servers and they are happy to let you know about those. Overall, this is an excellent place to stop by either for lunch or dinner in the Sacramento, CA area.

I was first introduced to Ruchi by a group of guys all born and raised in India. They all prefer Ruchi over any other Indian restaurant in the downtown area. Its like this is their downtown area hangout. The food is always amazingly good. The buffet always has vegan options.

Food is well done. Service is atrocious. Wait staff is rude, grumpy, inefficient, and unpleasant. Having visited India many times, one aspect thats always impressed me is the high level of hospitality and efficiency among wait staff. Clearly, the 2 young men who are the wait staff at Ruchi are unable to embody any of that. Good food alone does not make up for appallingly bad service.

Excellent Indian food - this is one of the best Indian places Ive been to in California. The food was amazing! They use an awesome curry on the lamb curry. The people are friendly and attentive and very catering. My only complaint would be that the salted lassi was a tad bit watery and didnt have much of the tangy bite that I enjoy, however in their defense, I am pretty picky when it comes to lassis. I will definitely go to this restaurant again when I have a taste for Indian - thanks for the great food and experience Ruchi!

I have been to this place numerous times and never had such a bad experience. I ordered Masala chai and 4 other items over the phone. When I reached to pick up, the order manager did not have the Chai ready. He blatantly went on to say We are very busy right now to make chai. Really?? Never heard a restaurant say we are busy to serve you! Isnt that how you are supposed to be busy?I said you could you have said that over the phone, and he inquired his chef about chai and they said they dont have milk. Now the manager started to read out my order and went to LIE I never order chai over the phone. That just put me off. I have the call recording and I know hes lying. This guy was standing far off the front desk and doesnt even consider walking up to me or apologizing for goofing up the order. He went to say listen to me when I am talking, Thats not how you talk to customers!!I havent see him in the restaurant before, so hes probably new and has poor manager skills. The front desk staff is rude. We have experienced this just not once but thrice now since the covid19 lockdown. We are trying to help and support the local business but looks like the business owner does not care! They advertise the coupons and when we went to pick up the order, they are not willing to honor the coupon. In the email coupon it does not say about one time use and he was interrogating and arguing with us to make sure that this was the first time we were using the coupon. And today for Mothers Day coupon, when my husband called in the order for his wife/me (who also spoke on the phone with them), they instead wanted to have me, the mother, come there physically to pick up the order!! Husband and kids wanted to pick up the order to surprise his wife but they did not allow that. Maybe next they will ask the mothers to bring the birth certificate of their children because any woman can come up and say she is a mother!!! Has the management changed? We will not be patronizing this business anymore.

I have read some reviews on the after 2pm lunch buffet topic. To fill the buffet case at a low demand period (the lunch rush is over) is only going to cause the restaurant to throw away good food (and profits) when the buffet officially ends at 3pm. Thats not a good business practice.Instead of fussing about it, why not politely request the management to make the entrees you like, in a portion big enough that you can eat it all without the waste.

The food here is great!! I am staying at the Springhill Suites on a business trip and I came across this place since it is so close. The food is still good. The ambiance is still good. The service seems to be super lacking. If Im spending 50 dollars in a meal then I expect good service. I dont expect my water to go empty and I have ro vet up and get water myself. I also dont expect to have ro get up and bet my own Togo containers. All in all I would fo be again based solely on food, however dont expect great service.

Ruchi just catered our wedding in Lake Tahoe this weekend (destination wedding) and did a fantastic job with our lunch, cocktail hour, and reception. Everyone who attended could not stop raving about how good the food was. I hate this place and will never come back here ever again for many reasons some of which I dont want to talk about.They take forever just to serve a few amount of not that good naan to the table.The buffet is small and lame and the only thing there that tastes good is one of the chicken curries.Also, those employees were showing me attitude.They only have one, really small bathroom, so you have to wait in line.I am not a professional, this is just my own personal opinion, so please dont hate me.

I usually go there for lunch as they have buffet. Their Nan is excellent and most of the food is good. I think theres an equal balance between vegetarian and non vegetarian options.Parking spaces are very tight in this location. It also gets packed at noon so be there a little before noon and you will enjoy it at best.

We go outside and see that the timings on their storefront are till 10 PM!!! Why are you kicking us out saying it’s too late when it’s only 9:10!
