This is a great new local place. Newly opened we had to try it and what a great experience. Nice decor. Friendly staff greeted us at the door. We ordered the very reasonably priced food with moderate expectations and a glass of local wine. Cant comment on the beer since we are not beer drinkers. The food came quickly and what a great surprise. The grilled cheese and tomato soup was excellent. The burger was great too! The best was a basket of fresh hot fries for only $3. How can you beat that? This is going to become one of my go to places for sure.
The burgers were great! The only problem is that there are no substitutions. I wanted to try the pastrami burger, but it had a pretzel bun that I could not change, so I had to get the regular burger. It was very good and the fries are too.
Heard from my neighbor this was a great spot to hang out, get a craft brew and have some good food. She was right, the ambiance was nice, enjoyed the music, staff were friendly. They even have vegan options. Ill definitely be back.
Yum!! We had the pastrami burger and our daughter had the cheeseburger, we also got the fancy fries. To drink I had the Strawberade and the Mango cider, hubby had the Heermanns Lager, and we enjoyed them all. Very clean and the weather was beautiful so we sat outside.
Food is so yummy, fresh and inexpensive. Nice assortment and variety of flavorful brews and you can also purchase brewskies to go. Interior makes me think of steampunk/Seattle/music lovers.
It is so refreshing to see nice places in our beloved Fairfield, I hope this is the start of a great downtown.This place in particular is clean, beautiful, well organized and delicious. Great staff, very friendly. Ambiance always on point, been in the AM, and in the PM, and it is very inviting.Food is very good and affordable, their selection of craft beers could not be any better.
Nice selection of local beer. Burgers were great! PB&J burger and the Oklahoma Burger were excellent, and the fries and tots were fresh out of the fryer hot!

Now open after shutdown due to covid 19. Both inside and outside seating but both areas have seats/ tables removed to comply with regulations. Still great selection of tap beers and good food. Friendly quick service. Tasty double cheeseburger hit the spot.
Great beer selection! The food is good and pairs with most of the beers. I would not lean on this place so much for the food as I would for the great beer selection. The biggest downside is the indoor seating. It is small and there is outdoor seating but on a cool night there is no outdoor heating.

OMG, found this spot from a local asking her where a good burger and beer is. Im glad I asked! Other than their bountiful array of beer choices, the burger was amazing! The bacon was cooked to perfection and the patty was smashed with love. Next time Ill be bringing the fam, since they are family friendly also!

The staff is amazing!!!! Its all women and they are very attentive! Very welcoming!!! I have been there twice because my uncle is a merchant seamen and his ship was docked out that way. I wanted to take him out to get a bit to eat when I spotted this place. They have a list of variety of burgers and fries. The burgers are delicious. Im not a beer drinker but the the lovely lady that assisted us let me try 2 different ciders and they were actually good. I drank #30 all night. My uncles tried a few and chose a beer. If you are looking for a great burger, great beer, great vibe this is the place!!!! The lead dog taste like a Reese butter cup...the Quincein Pearantino(# 30) taste like a mild mascato..
Great place. The food here was excellent, and they have 30 taps, with 27 filled at the time. Had the pastrami burger and the double burger, both amazing, as well as the tater tots and their take on animal style fries, also very tasty. It was all very affordable and we could have even shared a side as the side portions were generous. Come here and you wont be disappointed.

Downtown Fairfield really needs more places like Rustwater! The beer selection from local breweries was fantastic 👌 The burgers were awesome - the tomatoes tasted like they were fresh from the garden & the hamburger meat was divine ❤️ Happy that this is within walking distance from my home as I will be drinking (&eating) here often. Service was great, we never had to flag anyone down for a refill, etc. You have to try this place, its absolutely worth it. A++

Im so happy to say today we got done with our meal feeling exactly the same way!David and everyone there do not disappoint! They know their beers, and were able to point me in the best direction 3/3 times! As for the food? Holy Hades! Its fantastic! I was honestly scared to order the PB&J burger, but the execution was flawless, my wife didnt want to like it, but we both could not stop snagging bites! Bravo Rustwater! We look visiting you guys again soon!
4 stars because the service was great - super friendly & efficient. Also, the facility was nice and clean. I was happy to find what I thought would be a light lunch option, but the marinated chicken was so salty I could only eat a few bites, and the seasoning was not to my liking. I chatted with some folks at the next table who said the beer was great.

I went to this taproom last weekend for the first time. I was impressed by the number of beers and ciders that they had available. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One of our group was unsure of what beer to order. One of the bartenders asked what he normally drank. The bartender then gave him a couple of beers to taste, to help him decide. We didnt try the food this time, but what we saw come out of the kitchen all looked tasty. The food was reasonably priced, as well. Well be back to visit again, next time with appetites ready.
My husband and I were super impressed with our first visit here. Not only was the owner very quick to change the channel to the sports game we wanted to watch, but he gave us several tasters so that we could get the exact beer we wanted, & gave super helpful advice about different drinks that we might like. In addition, they were just really sweet and kind and respectful. Prices were also amazing, and way cheaper than a lot of places, for just as great of quality. The atmosphere inside was awesome as well. Im not one to ever take the time to leave reviews, but they definitely deserve 5-stars, and we will be back :-)
First time going. Nice staff and very knowledgeable of there beers if your not into ipa beers . Definitely ask to taste the beers if your now sure . The food is also really good, try the pastrami burger . Over all you will have a good time there.

Be sure to check the color code chart to quickly identify the style of beer you enjoy. They are happy to pour a 1oz taste.Great burgers and the tomato soup is delicious. I had the double burger on Friday while on a road trip, its really tall. Stopped again on Sunday and had the single burger. The single was big enough for me, and Im a big guy. Put a star on your map and make it a must see when passing through.

If youre into micro brews and burgers, this is a good place to visit. Quaint neighborhood type bar in downtown. A gathering spot for friends. The food is good. Prices arent bad. Staff is friendly and welcoming.
My first visit. Decent pub grub at value pricing. Thats the way it should be so you have more to spend on beer. A well curated menu of NorCal craft and beyond. Its not big space and almost every seat taken at 6 pm on a Thursday. Loud acoustics. Its pub, shout a little. Minors okay with adult. A few outside tables. It was a bit chilly on our visit but in hit summer months these tables will have shade in the afternoon. I only do 3 stars on a first visit. This is good review though and I will return and bring a friend.
Very good beer selection. Smaller place — has some outdoor seating. Nice atmosphere — fun decor. Was a little slow the night we were in which allowed for conversation— a rarity these days. Bar food — handmade burgers which were quite tasty. Price of good food was surprisingly reasonable— leaving more $$ for the beverages. Loved meeting the owners. Had great service — Will definitely be back! Could become a regular hang out!
For those beer lovers, you will love it. Im a foody...my favorite is cheeseburgers..they have delicious burgers and fries. I am not a beer drinker like my husband, I like wine. So thankful they serve our local winery, Wooden Valley. Overall, great food drink and service.

Very cool place to have quick bite with a great selection of beers. It is not a large building so you might have to wait for seating or sit outside (I have also shared a table before). I hope this place becomes a cornerstone for the downtown district and revamping the area.

Rust Water has cider on draft which is the reason I frequent it weekly. Celiac disease prohibits me from drinking beer and its great to sit outside like today in January and enjoy a burger bowl and cider. All the staff are outgoing a d friendly. Its a place I can go alone and feel comfortable.
The food was great, the guy who brought out the food was a breath of fresh air, but the young cashier she was not pleasant. It was as if she didnt like her job or she didnt like me/someone in my party. If she had been the one in the kitchen preparing my food I would have left at that moment.
Great little taproom and hangout. The food was surprisingly good, Our group enjoyed burger, BLT and hotdog plus the taps include smaller and larger glasses so you can try some of the more unusual varieties. HIGHLY recommend the New Glory Mindshaker Milkshake IPA and These Cookies Sleigh Imperial Milk Stout. Both eccentric options that have great taste and fresh appeal. Also... Stone Xocoveza Mexican imperial stout was AMAZING!
The place is well decorated for the beer drinker in mind. They have a great selection of beers on tap. Looking forward to going back again when we travel through, definitely worth the stop.
Only been once but so far rather impressed. Lets be honest, 4 stars is pretty darn good. Great selection of beers on tap plus cans/bottles representing an eclectic mixture of stouts, IPAs, lagers, sours, etc. Id prefer a few more pilsner/lager options but I get it, not many breweries are focusing on those these days. They also feature some great local wineries: GV, Wooden Valley, and Galvan from what I could tell. I may bump them up to 5 stars as I gain more experience there but only took away 1 star (in reality 1/2 a star) for 2 reasons: I would love to have a full menu in front of me detailing not only the brew and wine options but also describing the food options. I got a hot dog with chili and cheese but come to find out the chili was all beans and no meat. Again not any kind of a deal-breaker and I will definitely be back because its a great watering hole with tons of options.

The BLT is yummy. And beer... what do you want? Now there are almost 30 taps. Lots of types, just ask David what you are used to and he will recommend a good one. He is a real Connoisseur and like to share.

Wouldn’t even let us in the door because we had “too many people.” Took our green money elsewhere and had a blast where we spent over 500 dollars at a more accommodating establishment where fear didn’t dictate whom they allowed to patron.

Really enjoy the selection of beers and economical food and beer options at Rustwater in Fairfield... HOWEVER... I will NEVER, EVER run a tab with them again. They keep cards in an index card in a box near the POS system, which is at the end of the counter where everyone not seated at the bar orders. I could have EASILY walked off with every card of every person running a tab in there tonight. When I mentioned it to the bartender he told me, I guess its good that you have your card back now, huh?

So happy we were able to visit this place since every time we have went there hasn’t been enough space, but I can see why! This is probably one of the last places that has food and beer options under $10. Also despite the cheap prices you still receive good service and the bartender was very attentive and welcoming. There’s a ton of different beers ciders, and a soda fountain for you to choose from and I’m sure anyone can find something they would like. Make sure you scan the QR codes when you get there to find the latest food and drink menu. Will definitely be back again!

2023-06-18 01:12:20We were greeted immediately and given the rundown: View the menu via the board (or your phone) and order at the bar. Service was pretty fast. There were about 30 people, of the 49 capacity. Its a chill vibe. The staff get along really well. The food is great. Its like a family BBQ indoors. Tater tots are especially delicious. Will definitely be back next time Im in town.

2022-11-30 07:08:31Quite possibly our favorite burger place in the Bay Area! Their double cheeseburger is one of the best Ive had, and it hits the spot after an afternoon of wine tasting in Suisun Valley. Fancy fries are also a must! And they always have a killer beer lineup.

2019-12-02 01:33:39This is a very chilled atmosphere. The music was good. Pop rock music. The girls serving the beer were phenomenal. They allow you to try the beer before you purchase it. Chili cheese fries were tasty. I think maybe they should of put a little more chili on it. We also ordered a burger . I didn’t think I was going to like it, but it was rich In flavor . Kinda like the ones from in and out if you ask me. The stouts are great !! Chocolate flavor and coffee are yum yum ! Go ahead and have a date their, you won’t regret it !

2019-11-30 05:06:03The Beer selection was plenty and great options. The cheeseburger and loaded fries were good. Something that definitely made an impression was the great service given by the waiters/bartenders. Not too big of a place but enough to enjoy it.

2022-02-03 22:42:20Small corner joint. Yet have a huge selection of beer. This is my second time, both times i had the Pastrami Burger. It is awesome. Some friends from work said they have a Peanut Butter Burger that is crazy good. Maybe on my next visit.

2023-10-12 00:38:25A really cool spot in the heart of Fairfield. The Pastrami burger was amazing! Service was super quick and their taplist has something for everyone. They also have some really cool handmade sauces at the table.
