2023-08-26 03:55:30Absolutely delicious food. Swanky atmosphere, small seating outside in the front with lots of hanging plants. All the food we tried was so good. We shared and each portion was plenty. It was a birthday celebration and they brought out calipico ice cream, i think it something your mom would think is interesting. Would def keep going back to try it all!

2023-09-07 17:28:31I had a really disappointing brunch there. The yogurt parfait looks like it was made the day before and has been sitting in the fridge for a while. On top of that, it’s extremely sweet. The egg crepe is bland, all you can taste is cheap cheese. The breakfast sandwich is the only ok dish we ordered.Service & location are both great. No complaints there

2023-11-10 23:59:12We love a good Asian fusion and RYLA did it very well. The Hokkaido bread was really good and matched really well with the spread that comes with it. The Nashville karage was also very good. Super moist and crispy in the outside. The Mapo pasta had all the right flavors of a Mapo tofu and Bolognese pasta, but was a little muted. If the flavor was a bit stronger it would have been perfect. The duck though was amazing and was the best dish we ordered. The dish we thought was just okay was the truffle fried rice. It just didnt have much flavor.Overall, we would definitely come back again!

2023-05-13 20:19:44Wow wow wow this place is cool since they had dishes we hadn’t had yet. This Japanese Pan filled with delicious curry has a donut like texture and the curry is so good. And their homemade pop tart is on point. Adult version of a childhood favorite. We had the ramen and fried rice for brunch and both were satisfying.

2022-09-20 15:27:43Celebrated our anniversary here. The food was delicious and ambiance was really nice. It was a bit noisy for conversation, but we noticed the seating outside was a bit more peaceful and our speed for conversation. The service was really good, even though we had to wait a bit in-between dishes ordered. Maybe the kitchen was overwhelmed because the place filled up fast at 630p dinner hour. Everything was delicious and we enjoyed our first time here.

2023-05-10 03:35:13Looks and feels like Modern Japanese scenery when you walk in. Staff is super friendly and attentive. We came here for Dine LA which is $55 and includes an appetizer, main and dessert. The chicken karaage was really tasty and a large portion. It comes with a fresh slice of lemon and a charred scallion mayo. This was my favorite savory dish of the night. My main was the local black cod in a red mole sauce. I learned that I am not a fan of mole. To me, it has a bitter taste, but if you like bitter and you like mole, maybe it will taste good to you. Everyone’s palette is different. My husband had the pork tonkatsu which was delicious and came with a bulldog (sweet and sour flavor) sauce. Then came the dessert. A Meiji soy milk pudding with a mini ginger churro. It had a berry sorbet, a thin layer of jelly, and strawberries as well. Everything in this dessert melded together very well - I was pleasantly surprised.

2023-06-25 20:24:24We had a reservation for 2 but ended up with an unexpected guest last minute. The hostess was helpful in figuring out how to accommodate us.Our server, a kind Irishman from Dublin, was attentive and welcoming. He did a great job with timing and getting the order right. The food was, well, amazing! The milk bread was warm, salty and delicious. Every dish was awesome...sitting street side, watching the sunset and eating great food...everything SoCal should be!

2023-05-09 16:37:18Of the items that we ordered for dinner, these were our favorites:Hokkaido Milk Bread tobiko nori spreadWild Bigeye Tuna Sashimi with calamansi soy sauce, tresh wasabi from half moon bay, pickled gingerWhite Sesame Caesar Salad with little gem lettuce, anchovy, housemade sourdough croutons, parmesanOur server was excellent the first half of service, but since the kitchen took 45 minutes to put out our dinner entree (or maybe forgot, or kitchen was super backed up), we werent checked in on, and then we were over it once the music started blaring by 6:45pm. They did make us feel super special with the anniversary card, which was totally unexpected and a sweet touch.
