This place has a very dirty kitchen and serves the worst Thai food. I ordered fried calamari and it literally like biting stones. The calamari is frozen and everything they use is frozen or out of a can. The pad Thai is far from authentic and the Tom yum soup is just awful. Absolutely do not recommend. Never going back again

After hearing about a new Thai restaurant downtown we decided to walk from our neighborhood The Vendome near Ryland Park (.9 mile took us 17 minutes each way) to give it a try.We ordered the following:Appetizer:Chicken Pot StickersEntrees:32. Pad Thai (Combination)Pan-fried Thai noodle with egg, green onion, bean sprout, and ground peanut in homemade-pad Thai sauce.51. Praram (with Chicken)Steamed cabbage, broccoli, carrot topped with peanut sauce and sesame seed.71. Massaman Curry Beef Set SpecialtyServed with roti and jasmine rice.Everything was delicious.Our server was so nice and attentive to our table. She checked with us numerous times throughout our meal to make sure our experience was going well and if everything was satisfactory with our menu choices.The entire restaurant was spotless.I notice that people walked in and picked up their own food as well as delivery services like DOORDASH.The wait time for our orders was typical for dining out.The ambiance is nice. Clean lines and simple but nice.We certainly plan on returning to dine there as well as making it our new go-to for Thai take out.

I usually hit up the spot in downtown by Williams which used to be open super late (1am or 2am) and not sure how these two establishments are related, though the menu seems the same. Its my go to even way before the pandemic. When I found out they opened the Flickinger branch I go here now and its alot closer to me. Service is okay since theres only one or two ladies running around taking orders, sitting customers and busting tables all at once (mad respect to them).

Very good Thai food! The owner is funny and friendly, she talks about her business and experience, makes you feel you are welcomed here.My friend likes the curry, I like the eggplant, even I dont like rice, but I enjoyed eating the curry with rice and eggplant. We would like to come back again!

Service was fine. Ordered the Combination Pad Thai. Meat was of extremely low quality and overcooked. It was rubbery with gristle. I asked for very spicy and it was more mild than other places when I didnt specify that I wanted it spicy.

Food was ok. But 3 stars because it took about 50 minutes to get the food. The portions I say on the smaller side. The phad thai noodle waa the least favorite dish. Fried chicken was very crispy and tasty. The curry was little spicy for my taste. The basil beef was good. Calamari was good but not enough. All said. Its ok if the food service was faster.

Consider this $16.95 sea food pad thai. It has only 2 shrimps and 2 half ball/2 slices fish cake. The pad is lumped. This restaurant is very old and not clean table. I was stopped eat it. It just tastes ketchup and sugar.

Nice place to eat Asian foods in San Jose for those who really miss Asian foods. The portion is pretty big for me, I suggest to order 1 dish for 2 persons if you really cant eat that much but dont worry if you do order 1 dish per person and you end up feeling so full, you always can ask for boxes to bring it home. Its small but was warm, really felt like home. Really loved the taste of pad Thai.

Got a Togo order from New Sa by Thai recently and tried this restaurant for the first time.Restaurant was pretty helpful in terms of updating my order and taking my request. We got medium vegetarian red curry, Panang curry, pineapple rice and pad Thai. Overall the food quality was good but get the medium was lil more spicy than other restaurants. But it’s definitely worth trying this restaurant.

(forgot to take a picture…) its on the pricier side but i highly recommend it :)we ordered mild pad thai and pad see ew and it was okay. the spice level was way too spicy for the pad thai, i couldnt really enjoy the flavor or the dish because of that. the pad see ew was good but id probably get it with no spice.also ordered thai tea boba from their boba shop and it was really good! their tapioca balls were soft and sweet and thai tea flavor tasted authentic.overall the dessert portion was good, but there are probably other items from the menu that are just as good. id give this place another try but i wouldnt get the noodles with spice next time!

A friend who missed Asian food brought us here. We came here for dinner. This Thai restaurant provides variant of Thai cuisines, such as curry, soup, fried rice, pad fried noodle, and many more. For some menu that are served spicy, we could choose the spiciness degree, such as mild, medium, spicy, or extra spicy.I tried one of their pan fried noodle menu, which was Pad Thai. The topping choices for Pad Thai are tofu, vegetables, chicken, pork, beef, prawn, and seafood. I tried Pad Thai noodle with Pork (USD 12.95), a plate of abundant fried Thai noodle with sliced pork, egg, green onion, the long bean sprouts, vegetables, the soft ground peanut, along with the salad. I like this Pad Thai that has the combination taste of sweet, savory with a little bit sour. The portion is huge, suitable to share among 2-3 persons.

Being vegetarians we didnt have much choice from the menu. We ended up ordering indian fried roti and yellow curry. Roti was good but the yellow curry seemed a bit watery.Next we ordered fried rice with veggies. The taste was good. Quantity was enough for 2 people.The thing we most liked there was their hospitality.Sophia and the other guy was absolutely adorably present to serve the people in the restaurant.The 4th start especially goes for their service.

Pad thai: Bland, no spice, no flair, basically noodles sort of dipped in sauce with some scallions scattered about. The special crispy pork basil described as spicy didnt have a pick of spice whatsoever. They forgot our appetizer and then proceeded to serve it after wed eaten our entrees. I have no idea how this place get a 4+ rating. Skip it.

Average Thai food in the Bay Area.Having visited Thailand on a regular basis, I have higher expectation.1. Fish cakes were not plumped, they were kind of swiveled, the dipping sauce was sweet sauce for fried food, and not with salt, sugar, and vinegar mixture.2. Curry duck was tasty but the duck meat was on vacation or somewhere but not in the dish.. Also duck was not fresh of the day.3. Crab fried rice was kind of dark with over soysauced and under egged.4. We ordered take out on a Friday night. We got the Roasted Duck Curry, Pad Thai, Chicken Satay, and Catfish Dern Dong.Service: I was not impressed with the service. I called and placed my order 2 hours before I planned to pick it up. I arrived 15 minutes after the time I requested it to be ready, and still had to wait 15 minutes until my order was ready. However, I will recognize that they were only missing the appetizer and the 15 minutes I was waiting was for them to cook that appetizer. The food was hot when I got it, so I can assume they had the rest ready at the right time. Additionally, I noticed that they only had one person bustling at the front, and a help wanted sign, so Ill also assume they were a bit short of hands. Given the circumstances, being a little late isnt unreasonable, and I was not in a hurry, so it didnt upset me. But overall, I still will say the service was not impressive.Taste: I am not an expert on Thai food. I cannot say whether or not it was authentic. For me, I think the food was pretty good. However, my parents noted that the duck was tough and not fresh. (I personally dont know duck well enough to tell. It tasted like meat to me.) The catfish was good. Our spice tolerance is low, but we were just barely able to tolerate it.Cost: Compared to the amount of food we got, we dont think the cost was worth it. Our 4 orders totaled $62. The duck and catfish dish had little meat and did not compensate for the lack of meat with veggies. Most of it was curry.Overall: We did not feel like the restaurant was bad. However, it is just not for me and my family. Its unlikely we would come here again.

Went for the first time and I must say it was very good. Got the lunch special red curry with pork. Very tasty and highly recommended. Curry was more watery but very tasty.Give them a try you wont be disappointed. Hope they get busier that way theyll be around for others to enjoy.Need to support these smaller businesses, especially if the food is good.

Delicious, home-style, comfort food. Fried chicken over fried rice and green curry with chicken are my favorites. Taste and feels just like how I remembers them in my college days. I used to go to this place when it was downtown so I decided to give it a try since they moved. I ordered the pineapple fried rice and the eggplant basil with chicken. The pineapple fried rice had four pieces of pineapple and it lacked flavor. The eggplant dish was mostly chicken with four pieces of eggplant and lacked flavor. Id been treating this as Go Right By Thai for years, but today I had a reason to go in, and am I glad I did! I got the spring rolls with shrimp, and the serving was big enough to be a meal in itself. Everything was fresh, and the shrimp were smallish but had really good flavor, not those dry tasteless ones you get at other places. Even the peanut sauce tasted like its made from scratch, and comes in a neat little dish with an elephant on it.The lady running things is very nice, and we had a great conversation, as Id said Id come over from the Vietnamese market next door - which I go to all the time. I like to cook, and she asked if I cook Thai food, and I said mostly its more Japanese type cuisine, that I grew up with, but in the cold months I make sort of curries that are more like Thai ones.This place is well worth a visit.

Not sure where all the high ratings coming from but we dined here due to raving Google reviews and photos. We got 2 thai fried rice, 2 pineapple fried rice, pad see ew, and drunken noodle. This restaurant is very busy with phone orders and pick up orders. We were greeted after the host got off the phone and pointed to sit at a table accommodating 4 people when we had 6 in our party. He continued talking on the phone and we ended up seating ourselves in the back tables. Which we were told that guest normally dont sit at those tables because they were stained with food and drinks and dust from workers there I assume. He offered to put the tables together and he did a quick wipe down. He only took part of our order and left. We ended up walking up and ordering the rest of the food. We waited quite a while for our food to come out, maybe an hour or so. They only brought part of our order out and 15 mins later we were checked on and told him that we were still missing two dishes. We noticed that the double dishes we ordered werent consistent in taste or ingredients. The first batch of fried was missing broccoli and thai basil and the pineapple fried rice was missing cashews. The flavor of all the dishes were very bland and disappointing. The owner was cooking in the back and came out to apologize for the service and thanked us for supporting her restaurant. She gave us tamarind candy as a treat. We are grateful for her kindness. I would only dine here if this was the only thai restaurant in the area and only order the pineapple fried rice.

The food here is quite authentic Thai. We are vegetarians and thought the menu had many veggie options. Loved the young coconut serves coconut water right from a coconut. Also the noodle soup is very tasty. The waiters are very courteous and smart. Reasonable prices for the quality. Also have Thai beers. Overall a good Thai place in downtown San Jose. Dont forget to try their fried banana and ice cream.

If you are not hungry and got a lot of time to spare you definitely should visit this place ‘coz the food is great but service is super slow. We came here on a Saturday for dinner. They just had 2 servers and about 16 tables. Not sure how many cooks. Took 10 min and some waving to get the attention of the servers. After placing the oder it took 30 min or probably even more to get our curry, still waiting for our rice. Got our rice after 10 min. Let me be honest, the food was fabulous. Tasty AF. I feel bad for the servers. If they are losing customers it is just because the management sucks. I just hope the servers dont have to pay the price.

I wish there was were negative stars. I never write reviews but this place was so disappointing that I felt the need to write one.First time visiting the place. When we visited the restaurant, it was very busy (around lunch time), so we waited. Then the server took us to a table which wasnt cleaned very well. Then, it took at least 15 mins for her to take our order. Not very ideal, but the place was busy, so understandable. We asked the server if we could get cilantro on the side because some of my friends cant eat cilantro and she said no because their kitchen was very busy. Im sorry but its not our fault that your kitchen is busy and please dont take customers if you cant handle the busy restaurant. FYI, when we were waiting for our food, another customer was asking the server to get someone to take their order b/c theyve never been helped. Our food came out 30+minutes after and of course there was cilantro ON the food. We ordered soda but that never got taken care of until we asked the server. Plus, one of the cups we got was dirty. By the time we were done eating, there were three groups including us at the restaurant. It took more than 15 minutes to get our check even though the place wasnt as busy as when we first came in. Poor service and sanitation. Will never visit this place again. Very disappointed.

At least if the food was good for the effort and prices, it would be ok. Pad Thai was basically cheap ramen noodles with hardly any egg or bean sprouts, definitely not fresh, and chicken tasted old and nasty. Just overall strikes on each side. Highly do not recommend.

Not even a half. The white rice was priced at $2.50 per order which I’ve never had in the other place. Definitely over priced regarding the quality, quantity and the service. Worst Thai restaurant. The restaurant is a small eatery with a warm laid back vibe with a nice decor. I ordered the spicy sweet basil plate with chicken and shrimp. My food was well seasoned, with just a little too much salt. The veggies were tender but crunchy and mixing the rice in helped soak up some of tha saltyness in the sauce. I didnt like at the end when we went to split the bill on two cards and the waiter says that he already told us they dont do split payments...um no u didnt sir smh. Overall a good late lunch in a nice atmosphere.

I love Thai food too aside from our adobo and pancit. I was craving for authentic Thai food for lunch. I ordered vegetarian pad Thai, tom yum soup, green curry, papaya salad. Everything tasted good. I had the chance to try their Thai authentic spicy mixed fruit salad .. its spicy and sour taste combined with the sweetness of the fruits made it perfect. Also, their desserts like kao tom mud and other sticky rice were so inviting..for a cup of coffee..this restaurant cater to vegetarians, non-vegetarians and flexitarians. I always get the same thing -- the Pad Thai, and it is excellent. I switch things up by getting the noodles with chicken, pork, or beef. The Thai iced tea is very good as well. The staff is always friendly, and I can always get a table at lunch.

The food is substandard as is the service. I ordered a spicy eggplant dish that had no spice minimal eggplant and a maximum amount of grease. The pad see euw was clearly leftover from at least a day before. It had little egg broccoli or tofu. This is a restaurant for people who dont know what real Thai food is. Waited for an hour and left after given an ambiguous answer about the status of food ordered. Noticed they were fulfilling online orders over the patrons that were in the restaraunt. This Asian restaurant is right at the edge of the heart of downtown area. This restaurant is open till midnight. However the quality of the Thai food is pretty mediocre. I mean I would love it if I were drunk. If people cant even cook chicken properly then they have some issues. The soups are blant and when you ask em if they can make it Thai level spicy, they will throw some jalapeños in you face. Wow! Limited parking. I would have given it two stars but I feel like th eery will get better. I will give it one more shot soon.

I eat here on Fridays during lunch sometimes. Ive had a few dishes from soup to noodle to rice. The Beef noodle soup is decent but the beef steak is a little tight. The Pad Se Ew had good flavor. Get the one with the sauce, its more flavorful. I also like to get the yellow curry over rice. The curry has the right amount of spice for me but they tend to use white meat chicken in their dishes. I like dark meat more since the white meat can taste a little dry, but the curry sauce makes up for it. If the restaurant is full, expect long waits for your food. We waited at least 30 mins one time for our food. If the crowd is light, expect 10-15 mins wait. They also offer vegetarian options as well for some of their dishes.
