Prices were inaccurate. Half of what I bought was several dollars more than what the label said. 6.99 listed as 2.99, etc. Thats with a membership card. And the dairy items always taste like they were left out too long. Wont shop here again if I can help it

MedelI gave him five stars all across 10************.This is a man has integrity he has customer service That honestly, the store is severely lacking. I believe Medel should be managing a Safeway of his own.He has what it takes to make sure the customer is happy even if he doesn’t have an immediate solution.He truly cares about his customers he went above and beyond I am just really having a rough time. Safeway has $177.07 of my money and Won’t cancel an order that I did not receive and they know it and they tried multiple times to put through the same $177.07 I don’t know why??? He tried to help but it wasn’t his department unfortunately so he’s going to follow up on it and try to get them to take care of it. He’s the ONLY person from Safeway out of 40 to 50 calls that I have had called me back from the store. I have left numerous messages for the Actual STORE MANAGER to return my call yet I haven’t heard back from that person. I also asked who the district manager was and they said that’s secret information but they will assure he would call tomorrow & he hasn’t either so I just looked it up online so now I have a call into the district manager as well. Anyway this is about Medel and his amazing customer service, and going out of his way to make me feel like I was cared about as a customer in that goes a long way .Medel you’re just righteous you are kind and generous caring all around just an amazing person to have spoke to tonight because I was having a rough time and thank you for going out of your way to use your own money and do something kind for me. I wasn’t expecting it was just really generous. I think Safeway needs to give you some time off paid. You are amazing. You are promoting material to get your own store.I wish someone worked undercover they would Definitely do something great for you. You’re the best Worker, the hardest worker at that store.I just want you to know I appreciate you what you did my daughter appreciated what you did you are a kind godly man with integrity and just God bless you that’s all I can say seriously I get choked up Thank you, kindly, sir

Riy at the flower department was extremely helpful.Even though they were busy, she took time to help me choose the right flowers. She even split them up and wrapped them for me. She was extremely helpful and professional.I wish they would accept tips. I hope this review gives her management team some insight to her hard work and amazing work ethic.

I love the gas prices. Even better when youve done some shopping and you have earned some points. Its really not very hard to acquire a 100 points to get $.10 (10 cents) òff of every gallon of gas. One time I earned 40 cents off of each gallon. I knew I had been doing some shopping but I didnt think that much. Then I found out that my son had used our phone number whenever he went shopping. No wonder! Good thing. He raided our refrigerator all the time.

I have stopped shopping at Safeway in American Canyon, because of the employees’ rude, hostile, ignorant behavior, and because of their incompetence in filling on-line delivery orders. I recently filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau; and Safeway didn’t even bother to respond. In fact, Ive been complaining to the BBB and to the store managers for years; and the problems persist. So I have finally given up on the store… The worst incident was when I politely asked a Safeway employee about opening an additional checkout lane (because the lines were so long at the only two open lanes – one regular and one express). She rudely snapped at me: “I have no control over that!” Then she walked away. She didn’t have the intelligence, or the civility, to refer me to another employee. Several weeks ago, Safeway hired an especially unpleasant young woman checkout clerk with no personality. She doesnt even respond when customers greet her. She just ignores them with a blank expression on her face. And she never offers to place the bags in the customers’ carts (which I found very stressful when I had an arm injury). She doesnt even slide the bags to the end of the counter. She just leaves the bags in front of her, where they are difficult for customers to reach. This is the PITS! Ive never before encountered this degree of ignorance from a checkout clerk anywhere. When customers ask her questions, she responds in a rude, hostile, disdainful, ignorant manner, as if the customers are “beneath” her and a “nuisance.” A few weeks ago I complained about her behavior to the store manager. But that checkout clerk is still there, and her behavior is still just as ignorant… I was recently treated like a “nuisance” by Safeway’s employee, Mary, when I called to find out if the store had the large quantity of canned olives that I needed for an event (to save me from wasting a trip there if they didn’t have enough). She was rude, hostile, impatient and disdainful, and made it very clear that she resented devoting any time to my query. Like the new checkout clerk described above, she is presumably unaware that I (and other customers) pay her wages…. As for on-line delivery orders - my last delivery was missing several common items that the store always has in stock in abundance. In fact, right after receiving the delivery, I went to the store, and I found that, yes, they had all those items on the shelves, in abundance, as usual… I now buy my groceries at Walmart and at Trader Joe’s in Napa. It’s worth the half-hour drive to Trader Joe’s, in order to deal with employees who have some concept of competence and civility.

Good store. They have several items that I cant get elsewhere, without driving 10 miles. Reasonably well stocked and good variety, although produce and on sale/free items can run out fast. Sometimes they could use more checkers, but the wait times have improved slightly. The staff is friendly and helpful. They expanded the self-checkout stations to 6. Some coupons only work at the checkout with a clerk who can correctly process a 10% off coupon.

Gas station review only. After the remodel it would have been nice to have other touch less pay option instead of Apple pay, GPay or Samsung Pay. When I tapped my contactless pay card it faulted out and I had to start my transaction all over from the beginning. What a hassle for a $0.10 discount

Very clean store. Its a little hard to maneuver in these times of covid, as they are still packing space with product. I think they could clear a few things out to make it easier to shop around people standing in line. I have no issues standing in line. Patience is needed in these times. It was a good 20-30 minute wait in line and we only had 5 people ahead. The employees were working extremely hard and as quickly as humanly possible. We had questions for the butcher and both gentlemen were very polite & cordial as well as informative. If you want meat cut a certain way they still continue this process, but only for meat that has not been put out yet. So if you need butcher services and they have the cut in back, they will do it! Yay! Its a nice Safeway. OH! They are having a sale on tri tip!

This is my favorite location to shop at. The employees are amazing, patient and friendly. Their management on the floor is awesome always checking to see if they can help out. There are some employees not so great but thats anywhere.I also enjoy getting my gas here and thats saying alot since Costco has always been my to go gas station. I usually save about 20 cents a gallon which makes a big difference. I earn points for shopping which turn into rewards for saving on gas.
