Was pleasantly surprised. We have been to their sister store and wasnt happy with the quality of the food, but they hit it out the park at SaiGon Oi. The presentation is great. The food is on point. Very authentic, but also fancified, which isnt bad, creates an experience for sure. Great to go with your family.

We came here with friends and its our first time. We pretty much ordered everything on the menu because we wanted to try everything. I personally really like the Banh Mi Chao which came with bread and the beef is tender, and the sauce with the bread is yummy. Another item is sticky rice that I really recommend. However, it makes me so full though. We like all the items we ordered. Just be aware that this restaurant closes at 5pm.

Okayyy this place hit the spot!I have been craving Bo Ne so I decided to try this place out when visiting my friend in Sac. The menu is actually small (which is a GREAT sign) so I already have high expectations. I can happily say eating here makes me miss home so much in Orange County (literally land of goooood food, especially Vietnamese food). Ive never heard of anyone calling Bo Ne as Banh Mi Chao but I guess I get it.Service - 5/5I actually waitlisted on yelp and they seated me very quickly! Our server was always checking up on us.Ambiance - 5/5This place looks completely elevated. I would definitely go back for the vibes.Banh Mi Chao (Bo Ne) - 5/5Banh Mi Chao has everything (meat, sunnyside eggs, pate, baguette, etc.). Im more used to eating with an actual steak but they served with filet mignon pieces. Flavor is so good, especially adding the extra maggi soy sauce that they have on the side. When I finished it, I swear I was craving it again.Com Do Ga Quay - 5/5Red Rice with Fried Chicken was delicious! Very good Vietnamese food, variety of choices from noodle soups to red rice beef dishes. The price is reasonable, and each dish has a big enough portion. There are waiting lines most of the time, but usually the waiting is not too long. The picture below is the beef with red rice, which I had yesterday.

Its always busy here, so come early if you do not want to wait.We got the weekend special Innard Rice Porridge and Sticky Rice plate, and coconut dessert drink. It was delicious. Love that the food was unique.The vibe and feel of the restaurant was nice.and staff were friendly. Good came out quick. We would definitely come back again!

Okay we got enough food in the menu to write what’s really up with this restaurant. I just want to say how disappointed I was on the taste of the food. The udon soup tasted plain and I almost wanted to puke…I can tell they tried to come up with different style of VIET food but with udon you have to really know how to make it plain and still tasty but it was murky and weird. The meat dish on the hot stone was like Italy style but just not worth it so I understand why they threw in the free bread with it. The rib steak was the only basic good thing they did and the shrimp pancakes was new and I gave them credit for doing that

Consistently delicious! Authentic Vietnamese Street Food! This place is FIRE! Young savvy wait staff. Nghia and Dillon are absolutely amazing. A bit of a wait but it’s totally worth it. The menu is small; and that’s the way it should be if you want perfection. We will be back often!

We got sat down instantly, they brought our water super quick, took our order within 3-5min of sitting down, and no more than 5min later the food was out! Saigon Oi is super busy and there is always a wait but it is worth it. The food comes out super quick once ordered and the employees clear tables quickly. I tried the banh canh cua (crab udon) and it was one of the best Ive tried. It comes with quail egg, straw mushrooms, real crab meat, fish cake, shrimp balls, and crispy shallots. The soup was the perfect consistency, and brought back memories of eating banh canh in Saigon in my childhood. The Banh Mi is nicely toasty, soft but perfect texture for dipping into the skillet. The meatball was delicious, as for the pate and beef cubes floating in the savory butter. The two fried eggs makes it the perfect brunch/breakfast meal. I also liked the decoration of the restaurant -- the little touches of Vietnamese style tiles on the floor, the picture of Cho Ben Thanh, the nice accent lights. Lastly, got a coconut coffee (ca phe dua) and it was beautiful! Super creamy, like a slushy, comes with the iconic strong taste of Vietnamese coffee, yet creamy from the coconut cream and not too sweet. Highly reccomended item as well.Id really like to come back and try their banh khot, because it looks delicious. But honestly the portions are good so will definitely have leftovers. I think they do less common Vietnamese food well, and I see why there is always a line. Service is friendly and attentive. Pay in front after meal is done. All around 5/5.

This place makes classic Vietnamese dishes with a Californian twist with their usage of crab.I had the pleasure of trying multiple dishes including, egg rolls, crab and egg fried rice, crab soup, banh canh, and banh khot. Egg rolls were delicious and perfectly crunchy with very traditional Vietnamese pork based filling. Crab fried rice was a bit on the oily side but the use of the crabs intestines alongside egg really brought out a unique flavor Ive never had before and would recommend trying. The crab soup was other worldly they do not cheap out on ingredients at all and theres large chunks of crab, shiitake mushroom, quail and 1000 year egg. For ten dollars this dish was amazing. Their banh canh was alright however I would just stick with the crab soup if you cant splurge as it had more substance and flavor. Lastly the banh khot was crispy and came with a decently sized shrimp that had a nice snap to it.Waiters and waitresses are really on top of things here. Constantly checking our waters and provided quick service for napkins, straws, etc.Decor was nice and gave the place a vibrant vibe. Bathroom was also clean.Overall this place is definitely worth the 20-30 minute wait and Im excited to come back and try the rest of their menu.

Nostalgic~During my deployment, we port’d in Thailand, and the atmosphere of this SAIGON’OI reflected that experience very well.The food was decent, but for the price it seemed a little excessive for simple eggs and some meat. Whatever the case phenomenal, aromatic food.Service could be tweaked a little in my personal opinion, but no complaints!8/10 would come again for coffee!

Great food. I saw several crab meat dishes and taught imitation crab but was pleasantly surprise to see real crab meat. Had several dishes here and all were delicious. By far, the best bahn mi bread Ive had. It had a crunchy exterior, was warm and had a soft, springy texture. They had a different take on bahn mi sandwich which was fun. Definitely would eat here again next time Im in Sacramento. If youre not into strong fish and authetic asian flavors, this might not be the place for you. But if you enjoy these great flavors, definitely a must try food place. Service was good and server was polite with all our requests.

Decent sized restaurant with friendly staff. Be sure to check the wait-list and they can get busy on the weekends. The food was amazing. I had the rib eye steak and it was cooked to perfection and at the temp I requested. The banh khot was tasty and came out in a piping hot skillet. Hubby ordered the Bahn Mi Chao and he was impressed. He loved the meat balls with the other meat and the pate, which is his favorite. The shoestring French fries were nothing special. Decent, upbeat music playing, sounds like remade 80s music. Prices are reasonable for what you get. Definitely would return if we lived here.

Very limited menu, but they do everything right. The banh mi chao is a delicious breakfast platter with tender beef, over easy eggs, meatball, pate and the most delectable buttery sauce underneath. I loved topping my baguette with random proteins, and then soaking the baguette in the sauce at the end. I would come back for this!Hubby got the banh canh cua, which had real crab meat. He loved the flavor, but commented that the udon broke too easily, and there wasn’t enough portion.The drinks were just ok - we had the kumquat lemongrass tea and the tropical fruit with cream cheese jello. Nothing mind blowing. I suggest walking to bambu down the parking lot for better dessert and drinks.

What a beautiful gem we found in Sacramento.This is my first time coming here with my friends. We are overwhelmed with the empeccable, top notch experience this place offers. We can tell the owner do care about the food and service.you can feel the food quality and freshness. We ordered 6 items as in pictures and I found my favorite is Chao long.This place does take your expectations to the next level (unlike other Asian restaurants they only offer good food but mediocre or bad service). This place they care about every little detail. Servers are well trained, nice, kind and respectful. We ordered the bread n the server came out and told us he think the bread is not hot enough so he took in and gave us another new one.Another welcoming feature Sai Gon oi has is the decor, relaxing music and the price is reasonable.Sai gon oi is Way to go if you want to experience an authentic classy Vietnamese cuisine.
