Beautiful and peaceful church. The lights were out so we did not see the paintings but the stained glass was lovely. The gardens were very pretty. We saw several hummingbirds and other birds. Turn at the traffic signal onto the side road to reach the church. It is not on the main toad, Washington. Lots of restaurants nearby.

Went on Halloween for trunk or treat and it was great! There was a haunted house lots of candy and free food! Usually the events on Halloween have to be paid for so it was nice that everything was free and fun. Let’s not forget about safe!

Been attending mass every Friday at Saint Francis for the last five years and find the priests, facility and community welcoming and inviting. Father James is a caring an devout man and takes the time to get to know the parishioners. Al in all, a wonderful place for all catholics in the Hood!

I didnt actually go into the church for service or to pray. In fact, I pulled over off the road to admire the church. Its stunning. While I was standing in front of it there was definitely some hope, healing, and good energy there.

Beautiful campus and chapel. I liked the conveniently placed monitors with the words to the readings, songs and responses displayed- very helpful if you forgot your glasses for mass!

The church is very beautiful. The funeral mass was extremely well done. The singers, the pianist and the priest were magnificent. Everyone at the church were extremely helpful. They helped so much with the reception after also. Thank you.

I enjoyed the Irish priests homilies and humor.I was confused by the St. Francis statue holding Jesus on the Cross.It takes away from Jesus Himself.A separate statue of St. Francis would be more appropriate.Thank you.Susan from South Dakota

My first time at this Catholic Chruch. Beautiful and a full filled experienced. I would definitely come back again.This church has TV screens that you can follow the words of songs, hymns, prayers and follow with the service. This was so helpful because I have trouble following with what they say since I have difficulty hearing. Super helpful and thankful for that.The church is very clean and modern, when it comes to its outward appearance. They have a versatile audience. Awesome!The church father is very direct and straightforward and doesnt sugarcoat and says information as it is and appropriately. Very grateful for that. Welcoming and loving church that teaches from the bible. Also when it comes to repentance and forgiveness and Gods grace and mercy.Easy to find and in a great location. And have many parking spaces.

I attend mass at St. Francis of Assisi whenever Im in the desert on vacation. I love the church, its so beautiful and although I dont know anyone there, everyone seems very nice. I was very impressed at how they handled mass during the pandemic. The registration for mass was easy online, they were extremely organized, and things ran very smoothly each time I was there and it seemed they were strict and followed all the Covid mandates.They have plenty of people helping at each mass, and those people (ushers) are nice and helpful. I like how the ushers wear badges or name tags so you can identify them. I like the large monitors they have in church, so you can follow along.I might be moving down to the desert, and I am happy to know there is a really nice beautiful parish there, if I do.

I love this church and I helped build it it was fun doing all the masonry. Is very interested to watch the marble be installed on the floor the marble is brought in from Italy and so are the men to install it! And so was the stained glass windows imported from Italy and so are the men! Its a beautiful church with quality craftsmanship that you rarely see today!

We have attended St Francis for 6 years. We enjoy participating in the Mass at this church. It is beautiful yet simple in design and the location is stunning. Father James always delivers a great homily. Father Ken is kind and takes good care of us. We have wonderful volunteers.Everyone is welcome!

Absolutely the most beautiful church I have ever had the privilege of seeing. 9:15am mass definitely has more people in attendance. The artwork is pristine. The sculptures in the foyer are remarkable. Everyone is friendly. Easy to find off of Washington Street. Such a delightful congregation.

I attended the Christmas Eve Vigil Mass a couple of times and its a very special service. Fr. James is a wonderful pastor and Mass here is always great. In the winter, when the snowbirds are in town, you better arrive early if you want a seat! The interesting thing about this church is that even though its in California -- the line for confession was always VERY LONG. Something special about this place.

I attended St Francis of Assisi Church because my boyfriend wanted to go to church on a Sunday, was only expecting to go that one time. What I found was a friendly and spirit filled congregation. Father James homilys are funny,inspirational and educational. The hymns are so beautiful and opens your heart to Gods love. Not much gets in the way of us going to Sunday Mass, it is the highlight of our week.

I am actually a lifetime member of the Presbyterian church and a Lutheran briefly. I left the Lutheran church and decided to go to St Francis of Assisi as it looked to be a beautiful church.I have gone for four weeks and while I didnt know some things....I found the gospel, the prayers and the sermon to be fascinating...I leave feeling great each week. The parishioners are friendly and helpful....I am very impressed and will continue going...If someone wonders about it...GO...there are many masses and it is an amazing sanctuary!

Going to church at st. is the best place be, to meet new friends but also to hear the good word of the day. for my appreciation towards others who are willing to understand that there is a God. and hes there for you when you need him. Fathers James is the best and so are the other fathers too they all have a great sense of humor and it makes people more happier whats the results of what they say at the end of the sermon anyway I love going to Saint Francis and I always come out happier when I leave oh one more thing Im a stickler for things being a certain way you need to replace about three lights on a right-hand side of the church above on the chandeliers no offense but I look at them every Sunday I go it just seems a little out of place sorry thank you for everything Lord and thank you for Saint Francis

I love the structural detail of this church and its interior because it does look like a real church supposed to look. (Some others look like a huge saloon with benches). However; I think they need to add more Sunday masses as we are not that small of a community. Also, nothing personal against any particular nationality but, why is there a mass in Vietnamese? That should be an English mass. I have been residing in this community for 5 years now and I have not seen much Vietnamese people or of Asian descend for that matter. Back in San Diego where I come from makes sense because the Vietnamese and Asian community is large. Theres also only one Spanish mass here where the Latino community is the second largest in the Coachella Valley. Doesnt make sense. Point is we need more English masses please.

Lastnight Mass remembering our loved ones was GREAT! They always welcome my guest who fly in to visit grandma the Father was beautiful as always. My grandson was upset that they gave away our candle with our loved ones name on it that was his close friend/teacher by he forgave them. This Church was built during the time of architectural madness. But it escaped that and is a beautiful structure, while having the clean feeling of new inside. I served as a Baptism teacher for adults n God parents. They have an AMAZING staff there hospitility and offer education ON CATHOLIC sacraments for children and Adults. They have Mass in 3 languages English Spanish and Vietnamese on weekends Saturdays coffee n dougnuts after Mass and Spanish after mass nachos in the Bluett Hall. A very beautiful church to see and amazing hand painted art work inside the church.

As is characteristic of many Catholic churches, the liturgy, music, and homily were uninspiring. Pope Francis has formed a synod on youth and the church. It desperately needs to address the liturgy lest we lose our young Catholics to more dynamic Christian churches or the stop attending altogether.

Beautiful, peaceful parish which has mastered bilingual services. The Saint Francis community is friendly and welcoming. The gardens are just as beautiful as the inside of the church. This parish has a blessing of pets once a year.

2 weeks ago we moved to live in La Quinta and it is the first time we go to mass at this church, which is very beautiful, I really liked it. I think it will be my favorite place for Sunday masses.

The staff is very attentive, in general the mass for the quinceañera is very good and the temple and its facilities are very well cared for.

The priest preaches very well in his sermons. Very nice parish with paintings about the history of Saint Francis of Assisi.

I love it, it is a beautiful Church, but what makes it much better is the people who make it possible to be here every day, who work with great love for God our Lord and the parents, even if they say they are the best, they have no prejudices or discrimination whatsoever. They make you feel as if you were really with our Lord with us in every mass they offer.
