We took our son to Wolf Lodge for his birthday and he requested sushi for dinner. While googling places to eat Sakana Bistro popped up and we decided to give it a try. The sushi was amazing!! Each roll was beautifully decorated and tasted great! They even surprised our son with free ice cream and sang him a birthday song. We would highly recommend it!

Oh my god the food I ordered was amazing I ordered the avocado bomb It was so full of flavor and very rich, then I also ordered the tuna salad which had the best flavor. Cant wait to come back and try other dishes. Small family-owned restaurant atmosphere was a little boring they could use some music playing other than that the food was very good.

I ordered the tangy sushi and beef udon. The udon was light and only 4 paper thin pieces of beef. For the price, I do not like the portions and felt like I get more at other sushi places. I personally wont be returning as this was a more underwhelming experience for myself in terms of food taste and portions.

My husband and I both got sick after eating here. spicy tuna roll smelled a little fishy. I spent $12 on a roll I didnt eat. they also charged for ice tea refills. I have never heard of that. After looking at the bill, we were charged $10 for ice tea, and it tasted awful like they used tap water from bad pipes. wont be going back.

The food here is excellent! My family really enjoys sushi and the sushi here is amazing.I would highly recommend this place. The staff is very professional and nice. Really great atmosphere and reasonably priced.The Super Godzilla roll is incredible.

The food was okay. I wouldnt visit a second time. We got the garlic edamame which had good flavor, but was very greasy. The sushi was decent. Also got the ramen which was very, very bland. I didnt end up finishing it. It took a fairly long time for the food to come out and when it did, a member of my party received theirs about 20 minutes prior to myself and other member receiving ours.

I love this place! I was so happy to see that they have made it so far through the pandemic, but the lunch shift today was so slow I cant believe it!I had no wait for anything. Im fully vaccinated so I dont have any qualms about going anywhere in public anymore, but I know quite a few people are concerned.I noticed that the proprietors maintain a very clean establishment and they do adhere to all of the Covid guidelines. I was the only one in the dining room but it was very comfortable, still air-conditioned and they were very attentive to all of my needs. I highly highly recommend you check this place out if you have not yet. Support a local business and eat out or order in today :)

Enjoyed some delicious sushi with a large group. The staff were very gracious and catered to our every need. Myself and my son opted for non sushi items and were very pleased with the teriyaki chicken plates. Another friend had a rice bowl. I did try some of my husband Sushi and it was amazing.

The rolls are decent size and pretty good. I had the golden gate roll and the Ton katsu and that was good too. Service is good. 4 stars bc the prices were pretty high. I understand things are getting expensive but 3 dollars for a can of soda is a lot and it was the same price for a ramune (marble soda).

Amazing sushi with non-Bay Area pricing. My family stopped by Sunday afternoon for lunch. There were a total of nine of us. We ordered seven sushi rolls, the famous avocado bomb, 4 hand rolls, and two orders of their sashimi. My family can eat and we still had a lot of leftovers to take home. Their sushi rolls are big. Let me correct that gigantic. Service is great. Looks like its run by a husband and wife team. The waitress which is the wife came by many times to make sure we had enough food to eat, drinks were always filled, and made sure we had enough napkins. you dont really find this type of service anymore at the small mom-and-pop establishments. We will definitely come here again when we visit relatives in the Manteca area.

I went to this restaurant the other day and it was one of the worst dining experiences Ive ever had. So bad that Im now complaining about it, to you.The interior of this place is clammy and service is nonexistent. There were stretches longer than 20 minutes where I saw absolutely none of the staff doing anything. I heard their microwave fire up multiple times, as in *heard* it, from my seat.When I ordered a sprite, which costs $2.50 at this establishment, I was brought a 12oz can and a glass of ice. That at least came out quickly, my actual order--beef udon--took about 25 minutes.Now let me tell you something: Im not a worldly guy, but Ive been around the block a few times and I like Asian food. So when I order $15 beef udon, and Im brought out maybe 5-6 overcooked noodles in greasy broth that is just overflowing with cheap vegetables, I look at that and think Im getting robbed here. Oh, and the beef? 2 scraps, not even an inch long, in the whole bowl.Never, ever going here again.

The food was really good. The waiter was great. All of though it is hard for me to understand his accent. The complimentary dessert of fried Oreos was awesome. The restaurant was a bit dirty. The restrooms were filthy and out of supplies. And there were roaches in there.

We went for an early dinner on a Friday.Food was good and reasonably priced. Most of the menu is sea food of some kind but there is some chicken, pork and vegetarian options. Service was fine.We were the only ones there for the first half of our visit. A few customers started showing up along with more employees. There are lots of rolls on the menu including a California roll. They also have fried Oreos.Enjoyed it overall.

We had a very good experience! Family owned business and very clean friendly staff. I enjoy the salmon teriyaki dinner with tempura and Calif. Rolls. Avitar roll is also a favorite! They have really improved. We usually get a deep fried dessert on the house.

When my brother and I walked in, there was a heavy smell of cooking oil in the air - so anything fried was off the menu for us. The food was ok, I have to say the highlight was a very attentive waiter probably due to no one else was eating in at the restaurant.

We have lived in Manteca over 10 years and just saw this place leaving the grocery store last week. SOO glad we came here tonight. Hands down, the best spicy edamame in town!! Service was so friendly. Our waitress was very sweet. The sushi chef was busy, but the quality of our rolls was not compromised. I think our family just found our new favorite sushi restuarant!!

Oh lord. I’d give this place negative 5 stars if I could. I haven’t had this bad an experience at a restaurant ever. And that’s saying something. I mean, could the portions be any smaller? I actually laughed when my wife’s food came out and she got almost nothing but garnish on her plate. The rice had something in it and I’m not even going to guess what it was, it wasn’t rice for sure. The tempura was greasy and not even fully covered with batter. It left grease all over the place. The sushi was extremely small and badly shaped, also sparse on the rice. It tasted ok though. They have some tasty sounding variety but the actual product was disgusting. It took them 45 mins and we were the only people inside. At least until the servers friend came in. Then we were just plain ignored. Couldn’t get water, couldn’t get napkins, had to steal napkins from an empty table, he’ll, I couldn’t even get the damn check without getting up and interrupting the buddies conversation. The best part was, she wouldn’t even set the plate down, she stood there until I reached out and took it from her. I have never left a place so fast. The stomach ache and runs I got 20 mins later tells me that it’s probably dirty in the kitchen too, but I can’t verify that. So many good places in Manteca (one across the street) don’t waste your time here. I can’t imagine how anyone gave this place 5 stars....or any stars. They must hate food.
