Food great for the price!!! I was pleasantly surprised. But don’t order too much on the all you can eat because you can’t take it and you’ll be charged for leftovers 🫨 the wings are good, spicy tuna is good, shrimp tempura… mostly everything I tried, I liked!!! The only thing was highly disappointed in was the overcooked edamame. Great for large groups! $751 for 10 people that ate. Not too shabby.

Wow! The best AYCE Sushi in town and we have been a regular customer here for 2 years. Their service is really fast in serving your order, it will arrive in just less than 5 minutes. The quality of their seafood are amazingly fresh, and presentations are top-notch. Chefs are really doing a great job with preparing sushi and appetizers. Shoutout to them! Sometimes we dont mind the price rather than going to a high-end sushi restaurant, this place is more worth it to spend your money for!

What could I ask for more? It is perhaps one of the best value buffet in town. Always packed best is to reserve earlier. My favorite are all shown in the photos and those are what we normally ordered. It is just more than enough. Tempura Shrimps is superb delicious. Yellow tail is rare and grilled beef/octopus are all fantastic choices.

Slight wait before being let in, you can check in electronically. The sushi itself was certainly not bad, but also not the greatest either. I noticed a heavy sesame oil taste in some of the ingredients and sashimi which masked the flavors of the other ingredients. Youre looking at around the 16-19 dollar mark for each sushi roll at this restaurant. Also keep in mind to only order as much as you can eat—their menu states that they will charge you a fee for every individual piece of sushi that is left uneaten.

Did AYCE sushi at this place. Overall they have great sushi and amazing rolls. Their 2nd round of salmon was weird looking but it tasted fine. They forgot to bring our miso soups and almost forgot to bring our udons as well until we reminded them. Solid AYCE place to go to in Cerritos

The place is great it was my 3rd time going there. The place its busy because the food is really good, so be ready to wait in line. On a Wednesday night my party of 3 waited 45min until seated at 8pm. I gave 4🌟 for service, due to the high demand of this place the service is lacking a bit, but other then that this is a really good place with delicious food. I will definitely go back!

I don’t eat sushi often, and after a long night of being sick from eating Kura many years ago, I didn’t know if I’d ever have sushi en masse again… i’m happy to say that Sake2Sushi very much pleased my palette and my stomach. While the wait for an open table was a long one (2 hours for a party of 9), their All You Can Eat weekend special was worth the time spent in the hot Cerritos sun. It’s a high price point per person but the wide arrangement of raw fish options helped to break even. Their oysters are spicy and tangy, the garlic edamame was pleasing in between the rounds of sushi, I was able to try salmon egg sushi for the first time (interesting for sure). Will eventually come here with my girlfriend so she can enjoy some of the best of her favorite foods.

Had the worst experience today. I invited my mom over here for her birthday. This restaurant has no reservation service, so I came over in advance to wait for a table. When it was my turn for a table, I asked my mother to come in. The kind front desk lady said that it would be ready soon, just wait a moment. The person in the white uniform may be the manager tonight. He came over and yelled at my mother to wait outside with a very bad attitude. My mother said that our table would be fine. She continued to yell, my mother said that it was too cold outside and that the table would be available now . Well, she angrily canceled our table and drove my mother away. When I came and argued with her why she was treating my mother this way. She didnt even give an explanation and rudely drove us away. Actually I have been here before, the food just so-so, not expected the service so bad now, never come back!

Great sushi restaurant! For the price of $37.00 per person, you can enjoy AYCE sushi. The server gives you a piece of paper and allows you to check which ones you want. There is somewhat of a limit to what you can order, but there are plenty of options.Really enjoyed the garlic butter edamame. I usually dont order the edameme, but the garlic butter sauce really elevates the flavor. Takoyaki was also crispy on the outside and warm on the inside.Sushi was great quality! Fish tasted fresh. I enjoyed the squid and scallop which were soft, sweet, and had a hint of searing. The sweet shrimp was also delicious, but was limited to two orders per person. Was a bit disappointed that they didnt have Escolar (white tuna) which is usually my favorite, but the other choices are solid. There is a small but fair amount of rice with each nagiri.Really enjoyed the restaurant but I would recommend you come early and reserve. The policy is you have to be within 2 miles to reserve. We ended up waiting 1.5 hours until we got in and parking space can be difficult to find. With enough planning, however, the trip will be worth it.

AYCE Sushi, well plated and delicious to eat at a hangry pace because youve been waiting so long to be seated. This place gets really BUSY and you could be waiting as short as an hour and as long as 1 1/2 hour. If youve stuck around long enough, the food is worth the wait but dont be surprised to wait a bit longer as the service could take a bit to bring your order because every other table definitely ordered just as much as you. If you can survive the wait, the sushi is great.

The food is phenomenal especially the pepper salmon! The light sear on top with the cracked black pepper was so good! The salmon carpaccio was also sublime, the salmon was mellow but with the added acidic seasoning will make you close your eyes and appreciate it. The tuna carpaccio was slightly spicy, the kick made the flavors even more pronounced. There’s a hostess there named Natalie, she was very funny and blunt.

AYCE sushi, probably the best one around. For a Saturday, you must be within 2 miles to do to a yelp waitlist. We did that at 5:45 and went to the mall nearby. We were #45. Estimated wait time was 70-120 mins, it does keep updating you and where you are in line. We planned it well and by the time when we were #20 around 7pm, we headed to restaurant. Weekend prices are $ 34.99. With all the dishes we ordered, we felt that it was well worth the price. The food came out quick and we were stuffed by the end of our 1st round. The bluefin tuna melted in our mouths. Majority of the dishes were great. I would skip out on the takoyaki next time, mostly dough inside. Kalbi was good but could’ve been better if it was cooked medium, it was more on the well done side. Overall, we were satisfied, will definitely return.

I must say its one of the Best AYCE Sushi restaurant Ive ever been to. It is very popular, hence the long wait.. We got there at 630p and waited at least 45 minutes.Good happy hour menu and prices. You can order a la carte, but we went for the AYCE for $30 pp.Pros:Fresh quality, great rice to sushi ratio.Great service.Cons:It took a while for our food to come. Pacing was slow. Maybe its because it was busy even on a Thursday night.

Been meaning to come here for some time. Its always completely packed and there is a wait everyday of the week. Come early and prepare to wait. Totally worth it though!! There is a reason there is a wait. So yummy!! The salmon was basically melt in your mouth goodness. Salmon collar was overcooked a bit but not enough to ruin my dinner. Everything else was spot on and service was perfect. I have no complaints! I reccomend everyone try this place. 🙂🍣🍺

Today I saw a absurd scene where a female manager in a white uniform kept yelling at customers, canceled their seats and drove them away. It was the first time I saw a businessman treating customers like this. Looking at the stale food, I suddenly lost my appetite, and the noisy environment became unbearable. Not a fan of the service tho. The no rice options on the menu are few and they don’t offer a no rice as an option. Maybe on a case to case basis. They do charge for left over rolls. This was my 2nd visit in the last 45 days as this place became the top of my ayce sushi in OC. In both I went during the weekend before the opened. Food was of great quality and service as well. Adult is at $31 now (29 last time) but still a good value in my book. Skip the chicken karage and the fried scallops or squid but most of the rest of appetizers are great. Excellent fish to rice ratio in sushi.

One of the best AYCE sushi experiences Ive ever had. Reservation process is simple come here and add your name to the list. I arrived around 7 and had to wait about 90 minutes for a table. Well worth the wait and theres plenty of cafes within walking distance to kill some time. When you sit down you can order multiples of many of the menu items, but the premium ones are 2 per person. They dont have nigiri here. Its more Asian fusion, rolls, handrolls and nigiri. We loved the blue fin tuna, peppered salmon, smoked salmon, seared tuna, yakisoba noodles, and the baked scallop roll.The qualify of fish here is really fresh. The fish was buttery and every bite was tasty. The marbling and juicy texture of the Bluefin tuna was perfect. The service here is great. We got seated 30 minutes before last call and waited less than 5 minutes for our food. The restaurant is so well run and managed. I noted the entire cooking staff cleaning, waiters kept our drinks refilled and tables cleaned. This is a great place to enjoy some quality sushi with some friends and family. They had vegetarian dishes as well. With the extensive menu youre bound to find something that you like.

I was finally able to come on a weekday when the wait wasn’t too bad. I now see why the wait is always so long. It’s absolutely yummyyyyy and everything we had was fresh and delicious. The AYCE is the best because the menu is so vast and there are so so so many things you could potentially order. My favorite part was also their No-rice rolls, since I think that’s where the creative stuff is at! They had some really cool no rice options that are fun to try and taste. Everything was pretty delicious (Im also not a huge fan of sush, but this was pretty good)Its sushi, I dont like sushi, but its sushi. And it was pretty good. Definitely recommend, we also got lucky getting sat down quick, after we got sat a lot of people showed up and then there was a line.Also if you have a group the entire group needs to be there to be sat down. Can we say JACKPOT? Thanks to an amazing suggestion by one of our local foodies, we headed over to Cerritos for a long overdue sushi fix. We got there at 230pm on a Sunday. There was a bit of a long line huddled by the door with maybe 8 parties ahead of us. We were a party of 2 so it was only a 10 minute wait for us to get our own table.I’m going to tell you now, this will be your one stop sushi spot for as long as you’re near. This is by far my new favorite, beating out any previous standings from Canada. AYCE sushi for us including tip was about $80 with us leaving with a proud sushi induced food coma. There were 3 menus given to us, one was AYCE, the other one was an a la carte happy hour, and a separate regular priced a la carte menu. The only difference I could tell for AYCE is that you don’t get the option of sashimi, and the happy hour menu is basically half the portion for half the price. We were starving for $31 for AYCE. It was totally worth it as we left with more of a bang for your buck.Our favorites were the baked mussels, takoyaki, ALL tempura, carpaccio, bikini, and basically all the nigiri. The rice to sushi ratio was like 30 to 70 which was perfect.The one thing we’ll be avoiding at our next visits will be the rolls though. I think to get the fix of their usual 8 piece classic cut rolls, we’ll just grab a hand roll. Also, maybe we’re just not used to it but whats with cream cheese in sushi? 2 out of 4 rolls we ordered had us gagging over the cheese meanwhile 4 out of 5 rolls all had imitation crab meat. For us to have a sane mind, we’ll be sticking to the nigiri along with being a little bit more studious in reading the descriptions of each roll. Also, chicken karaage was slightly dry but with a hit of lemon and spicy mayo made it digestible.Ending the whole rave with the fact that we had an immaculate dinner, our server Brandon was beyond amazing! He had a very difficult table beside us and kept his cool the whole time while still being super diligent and prompt with keeping us waited and happy! Can’t be more ecstatic with our new find!

Known for their All-You-Can-Eat menu, for around $35/person you can chow down on sushi for as long as you please.I looked at their regular menu, and concluded that I couldn’t eat as much as it would cost to go All-You-Can-Eat. My husband went the All-You-Can-Eat route, and claimed it was the first time he actually felt full off sushi.Impressive thick cuts of sashimi with creamy, buttery fat notes. I was surprised.Their handrolls are super good, they have one with Poke. Make sure to eat these as soon as they come out, or the seaweed gets soggy.Once the food arrives at the table, it is non-stop sushi action. They have $2 beers. $2 beers!I felt great the next day after all this sushi, and would definitely come back.

Quality Nigri and amazing service!One of my favorite AYCE sushi spots and you cant beat for the $30 price point.I simply stuck with Nigri and my favorite pieces were the Yellowtail, seared tuna, unagi (eel), albacore, shrimp, tuna and mackerel and the scallops. Get here early before the dinner rush starts. I came here to meetva few girlfriends for happy hour on a Friday at 4:30 pm. Not bad waiting 10 minutes forba table. We got here just in time because there was a line to wait out the door. Alot of food, plenty to share, large pieces, you can pay an extra fee if you cannot finish your food and take it home.

Great value for an AYCE sushi.Unlike some sushi buffets, where half the nigiri is a Huge chunk of rice, this restaurant is a bit better. Fish was fresh and sushi presentation was fairly authentic.Only draw back is a LONG wait time. We waited almost an hour on a Wednesday for lunch only to find out there were several tables where people were just hanging out after finished.

Came here today for lunch. We arrived at 11:15am (place opens at 11:30am) and there was a line already out the door. Luckily, we were a party of two so we were seated fairly quickly. I got the AYCE ($28.75) for the lunch weekend price. I included a menu to my post so you can check the other prices for AYCE depending on the time of day.The quality of sushi here is phenomenal. The staff here is excellent. I ordered the green tea while I waited for my first round. The seared tuna and seared salmon were my favorite. I also loved the baked salmon and baked lobster roll. To finish off our meal, we ordered the matcha green tea ice cream. I highly recommend saving room for this.One bad side of this was their one person per restroom layout. The restaurant was packed around 11:45am which meant the restrooms were also always occupied. I had to check three times until I finally got a chance.Other than that, the interior decor is really great. I thought the music was super dooper loud for a Saturday at 12pm. My recent experience at this sushi restaurant was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I walked through the door, I could tell it was going to be an unpleasant ordeal. The service was abysmal, and the food was a disgrace. This establishment is best avoided if you value your time and taste buds.The service was a train wreck from the start. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive, barely acknowledging our presence. It felt like we were invisible to the staff, as they paid more attention to chatting among themselves than attending to the customers.Now, lets discuss the sushi itself—or what they dared to call sushi. The quality was appalling. The fish tasted stale and lacked any semblance of freshness. The rice was mushy and clumped together, as if it had been sitting out for hours. The rolls were sloppily assembled, with ingredients haphazardly thrown together. The overall presentation was unappealing, and the flavors were bland and forgettable. It was a disheartening reminder of how great sushi can be when prepared with care and skill, but this restaurant failed miserably.To add insult to injury, the prices were ridiculously high for the low quality we received. We left feeling cheated and utterly disappointed. The whole experience was a complete waste of time and money.In conclusion, this sushi restaurant left me with a sour taste in my mouth—both figuratively and literally. Sushi is great unfortunately they dont take reservations on the weekend which is a little annoying because my friends and I tried to call and get a table and that was just not an option. So we had to wait for 2 hours outside the restaurant until it was our turn, and so did everybody else. I dont understand the difference between giving your name and a time over the phone or showing up to write it down on a piece of paper and then stand for 2 hours. Besides this, the food is amazing and the service is fast, we didnt wait for the food (once at the table) for long at all. Ill give 3 stars not for the quality of the food which is a good 5, but for the wait.Also, all you can eat option available. On Saturdays it is $28.90 for all you can eat dinner.

It got a lot busier as we were there; sweet spot might be between 12:00-2:00 PM; after 2:00 PM its an extra ~$3 on the AYCE option and dinner is the most expensive.Service: was great. They came around often. We did the AYCE (all you can eat) option, ~$30/person. You can do that or order off the menu; it was Happy Hour (2-5PM?) as well so reduced prices on some of the food. AYCE option means you get 3 rounds of food. We only did 2 rounds.Food: was pretty good. Had the spicy salmon hand roll, Alaskan cut roll, Pink Lady cut roll, Yellowtail/Albacore/Salmon sushi, Garlic Albacore cut roll, and Galbi beef. Galbi was a little overcooked but the sushi was good. The rolls didnt have too much sauce and they were tasty. The first round took a little long but the second round was quicker; probably b/c we had more food the first round. Also had an Arnold Palmer; mixed well.Cost: ~$40/person (includes tip).

You can easily eat over $25 in sushi when ordering a la carte which makes it a good option. But dinner for 4 easily comes out to $100 + with drinks. The kitchen does make mistakes every now and then and but the staff tries really hard and there is no waiting space. Every time I go by, its a line out the door and many groups standing outside.

Food is yummy to my tummy all the time. It never fails. Im into their baked salmon in soy paper. Because of the two hour wait time, and I hate waiting in line, I opted for the curbside pick up. Everyone beware!My partner and I have been going here for some time now as it is a few minutes from our house and the convenience of being able to join the waitlist on Yelp. I have been raving about it to my family. My family was in town so we decided to have dinner here. I joined the waitlist around 5pm and we weren’t going to get seated until 7:30-7:45pm which was fine. We all caravanned to the restaurant from my house. I went to the host to check in. With a very aggressive tone he asked if everyone in the party was there. I said, yes we’re all here and one car is still parking. He looked at me and said so you’re not all here, you’re lying! I thought I misheard him and said excuse me? He repeated himself and said your party is not all here, you’re a liar. I was stunned. Didn’t expect something that foul to come out of his mouth like that. We proceeded to step outside to continue this as the rest of my family stood watching (by now everyone in my party was present). He proceeded to threaten to cancel our tables. At this point, we should have just walked away but knowing everyone is hungry and it was already late to find another restaurant to accommodate 12 people so we decided to stay just as a server said our tables were ready.I asked our server, Nick, for the manager but was told the manager had already left for the night. Shortly after, the same rude host walked by our table and claimed he’s the general manager and part owner. I told him he was rude and unprofessional. He shouldn’t treat people, especially paying customers the way he just did. His response was, okay, with an air of arrogance and simply walked back to his station.Really? You are going to accuse someone in that aggressive manner and you are supposed to represent an establishment? He apparently doesn’t understand the term HOSPITALITY or CUSTOMER SERVICE!I regret dumping my hard earned money here last night. It will be our last time at this restaurant so no thank you!

I love this sushi spot. They make the best sushi rolls with fresh fish. You could taste the freshness of every bite that you have. Their waitress and waiters are very helpful and attentive. This is my go to spot when I want fresh flavorful sushi. I continue coming here over and over. Next time, I will take some pictures, and post them here.

I went here, hoping for what many on the reviews think is good sushi; first, its a little big, so the service was fair, the portions are small, and they regulate how much you can order, and they run out of some of their better items by 8 pm, for the price two stars mainly because service and mini portions quality is good but not the best sushi I have ever had in fact not even top 10.

This is a hard review to write. The food was excellent. We had an issue with the service. It was the evening on a Wednesday. It was really busy as there is always a line to be seated. After an hour of waiting outside we got seated. We had a very nice waitress. She took our order, and then we didnt see her for the rest of the day. So we didnt get our food until we had to a random server who said im not sure Im not your server. So a while later we had another gentleman who was our server. He brought us our soup. And then it was another 40 minutes before we got our rolls. Our order was lost so we had to reorder them. And after that we had a 3rd server. By then we were over it and wanted the check. We reminded our server we were ready for the check but he never brought it. So we got up to leave and asked the hostess at the front so we could pay. The food is great and I understand it was a busy night, but the service was terrible. Maybe it was just an off night or something.

WORST SERVICE ever experienced by this server here shown in in the photos. This restaurants system went down for about half an hour, wed already been waiting for an hour so that makes 1.5 hrs of wait time and they denied sitting anybody down due to the seating systemeven though there were visible open spots forseating available.Needless to say all of us waiting outside were angry on top of being hungry. We the customers put our heads together and came up with a solution: to seat us according to the auto text message we received when signing in the waitlist. I presented the solution and they refused to do anything and just made us all wait untilthe system was back up.For bringing this solution to their attention this very man decided to not want to sit my friend and I at a table after having made us wait our turn even AFTER the system was up again.

Holy guacamole is this place good! Especially for an all you can eat place. Everything we ordered was stellar. I would definitely recommend the baked mussels, tuna carpaccio, baked lobster roll, yellowtail collar, edamame (all 3 types, but garlic was my favourite) and unagi rolls (fresh and baked). Only thing is they dont do sashimi, just sushi, but it has a super thin layer of rice so it doesnt fill you up too quickly either. Also service was spectacular - I think our waiters name was Arrwin and this dude was prompt.Would eat again, even though right now Im so full.

IMO this is one of the best AYCE sushi restaurants around. Large selection, good fresh food, priced right. In the local area their are no shortage of restraunts. Especially sushi restaurants. Located in a very busy strip mall with about 20+ other restraunts. This location can get very busy. Came on a Friday around 4:30 and the wait was 1-1/2 hours. I believe you can put your name in on Yelp. Very large menu selection. For AYCE the sushi pieces are alittle small. Rolls are normal size. Typically your order comes out quickly. Time to time something gets messed up and your server has to reorder. Food is tasty and fresh. One thing I did notice if you order ala cart, items are pricey. AYCE is the way to go. If your in the area and have time, give it a try, you wont regret it.

A little loud, music is sometimes a bit annoying. The place can work on service just a little bit, since they are busy. The waiters and waitresses, sometimes mixes up the orders. We had an order given to us that we didnt order. We flagged a waiter down and told him what happened, he finds the right table and gives it to them. I guess thats fine and all since were good people and we didnt play with the food. What if it was someone else and they take the food to the right person with someones germs. Just saying, thats not cool and simply not professional. Gave them the 3 stars because of service but the food is great. Price is competitive in the area.

I went there today with my family. This place is always busy and have a waiting list even before they open the business. They had a health inspector came in around 11:30 am which is the time they should open. People were waiting outside and there were one server came out and said we had a health inspection now and it will take about 15-20 mins. We were waiting for over 40 mins and one of people who were waiting knocked the door and asked how long it would take more. The server said she didnt know when to be finished. We asked if she can ask at least so that all of us can have at least estimate time to wait more.The server came out again and said we will open at 12:30pm. When we complained if it is a garauntee time and said weve been waiting for over 40 mins without any time nocited, the server said you can go other place and also we have a right to refuse the service. Is it right? We understand that it is not a servers mistake or a problem, but at least the server should know how upset people were waiting for over an hour in front of the business. Once we got into the place, the servers were laughing and so exciting about something. Not even a word saying sorry about waiting. Horrible management. At least manager should come out and inform customers whats going on and what people can expect. The people who worked there seems it is acceptable and no worries about losing customer because there are still other customers. This place was one of our fav, and now I dont think we would go anymore only because of the service.

I am super picky when it comes to Sushi. I had very high expectations for this place :( and was very disappointed. The pieces of Sushi were small, the rice did was a bit on the hard side (missing some good old vinagre). The raw fish tasted fishy and you can taste the refrigerator scent… definitely not fresh. I know all you can eat sushi is not the best quality, but for the high reviews it was definitely not worth it. I saw some of the good reviews photos and maybe they good a good chef because our pieces were super small… we could see the rice on both sides of the (definitely not like some the pictures posted). It wa alike mini sushi lol also was they use 1 rag to clean the seats and the the same rag to clean the tables… I don’t know about you… but that cannot be sanitary.

My very first time here was my first date with my significant other and I had very positive reviews and memories here, but unfortunately this past experience ruined my overall experience with them.I went this week to go celebrate mothers day since this was the first time my mother went out to eat at a public place since COVID started. We went during lunch to attempt to avoid the long wait times. We got there 5 minutes after they opened but was hit with the 1 hour wait which was reasonable since they are very good on doing social distancing within the dining area. We had no problem waiting as we just went to the mall real quick to do an errand.When we got back, I noticed most of the people waiting to be seated had a menu in their hand and they were marking things down on it. I grabbed one as well so we can just mark whatever we wanted and just hand it to the server when we sat down so we can get the food order as soon as possible. Everyone was doing the same thing. When we sat down, the server asked if we would want the happy hour pricing or the all you can eat. I distinctly said all you can eat and I said I did the ordering on this paper that was outside and handed him the paper. The food was very good and fresh and no complaints about it at all.When we were done, the bill came and I put my credit card inside not looking at the price since I assumed it was the 24.99 per person. When I got the bill back to sign I noticed it was for $100 and immediately flagged the server to ask why. He said I gave him the happy hour menu, but I stated to him that when he asked us what we wanted I said All you can eat. He gave an answer stating the paper that I handed to him was for the happy hour. He did not mention anything about a different price or menu or corrected me when I said I wanted the all you can eat option but went along with me giving him that menu. Another server came to try to resolve the problem but said we did the happy hour menu. He noted that he usually tells people to transfer over what they wanted onto the all you can eat since apparently this is a common problem. I told him the server who served us did not give us this option and did not think any less of it even though I told him I wanted the all you can eat option. I told them I do not mind paying the extra cost for the sashimi since that was basically the only thing different that was ordered from the All you can eat menu and the happy hour menu. The server said it would basically cost more and then offered to give us a 2 roll credit the next time I came. I said no it is ok.I would not come back just for 2 roll credit and I think the situation could have been avoided or handled better. I did not want to cause a scene and just accepted it and paid for the total cost. It is sad to stop coming here after so many years and was excited to come back to support the business.To the owner: I accept that I could have read or looked better and that is my fault. But if a server asks me do you want the all you can eat option or happy hour option and I stated I want the all you can eat option, would it not be pretty clear I want the all you can eat option? Please use this as a training situation for future employees or just not have those menus outside for anyone to take.This will be cross posted.

I said we get it from that place because my nephew never leaves his room and that’s the only place that he went. Called ahead to make sure they were still taking orders and open because today is Memorial Day and the day before they stopped taking orders a couple hours before closing. I also asked if they were open for dine in and the guy who answered the phone said yes, I was super excited to drive over and when we got there they said they weren’t taking anymore people on the waitlist. I explained how I had just talked to someone on the phone 20 min prior and they said that their “chef” refused to do anymore to go orders.. so not only is it an inconvenience to drive out there but now instead of trying to help out the customer, they don’t even want to do a to go order? It’s 6pm and they close at 9pm. This has happened several times now. Honestly it’s good sushi but not worth all the trouble. If you don’t want to take anymore orders don’t tell customers you’re open until 9 and stop serving at 6.

Great sushi for all you can eat. The wait can be up to 2 hours if you come after 6 pm and a Thursday, Friday or weekend. I love coming here although I have encountered bad customer service. I once waited almost an hour to get my food (which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5). Todays experience was much lower than usual. It took greater than 30 minutes to get our food. People that were on the all you can eat buffet were bottle necking the service so that if you were ordering from the regular menu the food would not come out. We ordered the Cerritos roll and the tiger roll among the regulars like philly and California. The food was great, too bad it felt like we crossed the desert to get it. As others have expressed theres always a wait to get in, this was only the second time that it took a long time to get our food. They need to open another restaurant in the Long Beach exchange to fulfill their demand in the area. The 4 stars is strictly for the food. I have never been disappointed with the quality of the food served and the servers are pleasant but the food needs to get out to the customers in a reasonable amount of time, hence the one star deduction.

The menu was a little confusing at first, you have a choice between the All You Can Eat or Happy Hour menus. My group chose the Happy Hour menu and we were able to share several rolls and a couple appetizers for less per person than the AYCE option. The food was incredible, some of the best sushi Ive ever had! There was a bit of a wait when we arrived but well worth it!
