Theres was my first time visited in there, before I was released from jail around 3am, Im hungry to lucky find a opens late a night and I noticed there was always opens by 24/7, I decided to check-out and availability for ready to served with my order food, I orders a little bowl, Fried rice with chicken and a metal cans of diet Coke. Theyre really good food. Ill go back again. Good Japanese Food.

Wow !! What a great place. My daughter and I went for late night meal. They did not disappoint. The food was amazing. Service fast and friendly. The ambiance was great. You can dine in or out in the plaza. All I can say, is, “I’ll be back for sure”.

I really liked the food but I think their procedures are strange. I arrived, ordered and paid for what I was gonna have at the door. the seating is very limited and a bit uncomfortable for short people like myself. I ordered an appetizer but it came out with my entrée so I couldnt enjoy it before my ramen would have gotten soggy. the staff were super nice. I appreciate that its open 24/7 too so Id probably visit again.

Cashier was detailed in explaining the dish and add ons, I believe she needed to smile a little more to make the environment more pleasant, husband and I went during the art walk event, its wasnt busy, we didnt waited long, we ate outside since it was some what I little suffocating and dim for my taste, but the event made our dinner great since there was music in the background. Food was DELICIOUS!!!! My taste buds were going crazy on me, will definitely go back during another event or to go... definitely recommend!! ❤️

I had the vegan ramen with vegan noodles, pan-fried tofu, and crispy onions. It was delicious. The broth was really tasty. Its a laid-back place with really cute murals. I had the medium level of spiciness, and it was perfect. Id recommend this place 👌🏼.

Marvin has mastered the craft of flavor and authenticity. This was my kids first experience with real Ramen and they lost their minds! Our meals were master crafted with love and it shows! Our experience was so wonderful my son demanded that this he his birthday dinner! Every bite was filled with fresh ingredients, flavors and textures. We each got something a little different, and were subsequently jealous of eachothers choices! I am gluten and dairy free. I was given so many options! Came here for a graduation party and I ordered a Vegan Fried Rice and it was the most delicious and favorable except the gingers were overpowered with sourness. My wife shared here Chicken Ramen and it was tasty too. This place open 24hrs. Will always come back and visit again.

Cool place to take pictures but that’s the only reason to come. noodles are hard and it’s not the only thing hard in the ramen. I found an egg shell on my egg. poked it and it’s an egg shell alright. BETTER OFF WITH KAZ RAMEN IN GRAND TERRACE. kaz is soo much better and cheaper

Food was great and came out fast. Staff was super chill even though we went at 4am. Only 24 hour restaurant in the area that was actually open! Will be coming back... Soon.Came back and they have beer and sake! Now the ramen is enhanced with alcohol. Which is better. I used to like this place. At Saku Ramen, youll find no table service or actual tables.When you first walk in, youll find two friendly employees managing a cash register each. Youre given a menu to review and asked to place your order. If you decide to eat there, youre options are sitting on high communal benches (our feet were dangling) or at one of the tables outside.By the look of the layout inside, it appears this place used to be a bar and the owners decided to leave much of it as is — including the moody lighting and loud music.When your name is called, you walk over and pick up your food. Be sure youre paying attention or you might not hear it the first time.Between all of us, we ordered a few Tonkotsu ramens, Gyoza, and Karaage. The ramen was good and the just right level of spice was actually just right. I opted for the the spinach noodles which were served al dente and toothsome. However, most of us found the soup, specifically the broth, would have been better if it were served hotter (temperature wise). The Gyoza were also tasty, but found the Karaage a bit salty.If youre looking for a restaurant with comfortable seating and table service, there are plenty of other restaurants in the area. However, if youre looking bring food home and heat it up, this place fits the bill.

The experience here was truly wonderful. I was in a rush to eat before my classes started, and happened to find this on google maps as I checked around my building, and I cannot be more thankful for the fact I chose here. the food was excellent, I got a spicy miso ramen, with tofu and an added egg. perfectly flavorful, yet not overwhelming, the just right selection of spice is truly just right. the egg and tofu were wonderful, cooked to softness and filled with an abundance of flavor. I was planning to rush and maybe take leftovers, but time practically slowed down as I began eating, and I finished my entire bowl. Im certainly planning on coming back here. plus they have a bunch of silly little murals of sphinx cats. theyre neat.

Was not expecting for the food to hit you with so much flavor! Took some of my friends out here for our first time. First impression was how relaxed the atmosphere is here. The front desk was super friendly and the staff overall was courteous and fast. Owner/Manger was around talking to his staff and helping out where he could. The dynamic produced some really great tasting Ramen full of flavor which definitely gets you full without even asking for extra noodles. Will come back to see its growth, its doing amazing so far 👏🏽Only complaint is the high chairs/bench, would love a steel bar underneath the seats to propt your feet on vs dangling them.

To be fair, both times Ive been to this place so far have been around 4-5am. So being able to be open 24hrs is a big perk imo. The Ramen Ive tasted was good.. I always go with the spicy level. Its hot but not enough to stop you from enjoying your bowl. Then again its all personal preference. Multiple toppings you can add. A notable one would be the Naruto topping. But overall really great!

For 4 people it’s $88. PLUS the food barely has flavor it was not good whatsoever. $16 for each soup is overpriced and it wasn’t even good. There was little soup and the noodles didn’t have the flavor either. A waste of money. I’m sorry but I don’t recommend eating here. If you want to eat at a delicious ramen place go to Sosogu ramen in Redlands it’s absolutely way better!

I ordered a tonkotsu ramen with pork. The broth was delicious although it tasted a bit fishy? The pork was too dry for my liking (unlike any other ramen Ive had), but the noodles (hosue special) were very tasty! The atmosphere inside the restaurant was really good, the staff was friendly, and overall I enjoyed the experience.

The ramen was good, but I expected a bigger portion for the price.We ended up sitting outside because the bench seating they have is really uncomfortable. If you dont get a stool, get ready to have your quads hurting from your legs just hanging.

Some idiot named Robert B. took my order and I had to explain to him that I wanted a side of broth but with the miso paste on the side because he kept wanting to force another soup on me(I come here often. I know what my order is, and its never been an issue before.). When I got my order, the extra broth(that I paid for) was missing. By this point, this moron was putting the orders in bags instead of taking orders, so I approach him and let him know about my missing broth. He says, its right there in the most rude manner as if what I said was stupid. I told him No. I had ordered an extra broth on the side. He pauses before I point it out behind him like its that one right behind you. He gives it to me and says, oh, they must have just now pushed it out. Keep in mind... this buffoon is the one who bagged my order to begin with. Fire this troglodyte.

Had the vegan option of ramen and broth didnt have a lot of flavor, mostly more like sesame oil/soy sauce. We went around 8pm and it was hot in there. The staff were ok except for one that seemed like she didnt want to be there and take our order. My order was taken by Thelma G at 12:44 a.m. July 31st. Order number 136. I said no wood ear mushroom and the chef still put it in my food. I drove all the way back to my job in Montclair and didnt notice it was included. Even on the ticket where it says my order was number 136, it says no wood ear mushrooms. So this is not Thelmas fault but the cooks fault. And I even tipped $5 my order came out to $40 something dollars. To top it off they dont even answer the phone so theres no way to get a hold of anyone. I had to toss this since I find wood ear mushrooms are absolutely disgusting. Really sucks when it is $35 just for a freaking soup and they couldnt even get this simple instruction correct

Right old one left new one, so they changed alot of things. The old one the broth was a different color and much more tasty n the noodles were thicker. Now the broth is a lighter color n the noodles are thinner doesnt taste the same sadly, $60 bucks not worth it anymore, and they are stingy about the ginger. I always ask for extra and they always put alot now its like 10 strips of ginger and I had to pay extra to but that was not worth it. Never coming again

In the heart of riverside, the best area just across the street from the great Mission Inn with all the enormous lights, this place offers the best Japanese ramen I tasted so far, the music is so good, the ambiance and the art on the walls are awesome, the food taste so so good, there is an outdoor area too, the decoration is nice, the only thing is the seating area is a bit off more like a bar but not suitable for kids, overall experience is very good and the staff is nice and friendlyI would definitely go there again

The minute I asked for chashu for my ramen and got funny looks for asking, I knew that it would go downhill from here (youre serving Japanese food for Gods sake how tf could you not know what chashu is???) For starters, the prices are outrageous. Couldve literally went to a fancy restaurant and spend less than I did here. Speaking of the chashu, its comically dry. I ordered a Tonkotsu ramen bowl, and overall was super flavorless. The egg was overcooked (why tf are they charging extra for an egg?) Also why are they using plastic bowls for ramen??? This place is all hype. The social media photos must be staged because the establishment is nothing like whats shown online. The food was awful. Anyone whos had authentic ramen, would agree with me. Pork belly was over cooked to the point of being rubbery. I told them it was dry and they just looked at me. I said Ive had ramen all over, and its not supposed to be like this so they made me a second serving of dry pork belly. The pork belly was a $7 upcharge. Theres no a/c in the building. Its all self serving. You serve yourself warm Riverside City tap water out of a plastic container. They give you foam bowls to drink your water out of. When I told the hostess I wasnt comfortable drinking from a foam bowl, she said We used to have cups until everyone stole them. I just paid $40 for a bowl of soup and have to drink warm tap water out of a bowl like a pet? The service was awful. There were no public restrooms. Theres no close by parking. If you park on the street, its metered. The entire experience was a huge disappointment.

Came here at midnight for late dinner, Tonkotsu ramen was great, more sweet than salty but they overcooked the pork belly, other items were average. Seating is atrocious, prison style stainless steel benches that are too tall, and too far away from the table, Ive never complained about something like this but man they are uncomfortable. Whats best about this place is that they are open late (they claim open 24hrs) and are reasonably priced, its a good option for late night dining.

Ordering of food takes place as you enter and before you can go find a seat within - this is the source of allow down. New place that just recently opened up on the Main Street pedestrian promenade. The food is a great addition to the downtown eateries. If the hours posted are correct, this establishment is open 24 hours.We tried the fried rice and the ramen dishes. Both were really great tasting. The food quality is good and so odd the price. The dining seating area leaves allot to be desired. The offer steel benches which are not the most comfortable and the soda fountain drinks are mostly cream soda flavors.

They ask for tip up front but it’s a cafeteria style eatery. They messed up my brothers drink, added spicy stuff to my order that said NO SPICE and when my boyfriend ordered no green onion (he has a mold allergy) it had so much green onion on it. Im just hear to rave about the fried rice! Im not even the biggest kimchi fan but I have the kimchi fried rice at least once a month!! Its the best, very flavorful and a good portion. The ramen is good. I also like the garlic edamame.The only thing is the indoor seating isnt super comfortable. If weather permits, theres a nice outdoor seating area that is available.The music is pretty loud inside as well. I dont mind it but some people might.If youre looking for healthy, this place isnt it. But the flavors never miss the mark.5/5 in my book.

There were a lot of people moving for better seats as people finished and left. One recommendation I have for management is to have some suggested combinations of selections available so newcomers to Ramen dont can just pick a number. If you’re looking for a more traditional style ramen, this isn’t the place. The ramen itself was good, but still very lacking in some elements. It feels like “hipster” ramen, or maybe a more Americanized version? That doesn’t make it Inherently bad but it just wasn’t what I thought it was going to be. The whole place is “a vibe”. Lots of art, and loud music it felt more like a club than a dining place. The loud music made it hard to order. Seating is like a cafeteria, metal benches and narrow tables. The whole style of serving it like fast food, Plastic bowl on a food tray, It felt like fast food ramen too. The noodles where too chewy and all of the individual toppings are expensive. I spent nearly $40 one bowl or ramen that was pretty average at best. I’m sure the price is from location/hours but I’ve had better quality and experience from ramen places half that price. I got Tonkatsu with premium pork belly, that is served pan seared with soy sauce. It was kind of overwhelming to the rest of the dish. The place is okay. Cool but sort of clashing atmosphere, and average food. I don’t know if I’d come here again unless I was invited.

READ THE MENU CAREFULLY! This is not your typical ramen shop. Apparently, there is such a thing as a dry ramen. The yellow noodles resemble spaghetti noodles cooked Al dent. Like previous mentioned, the seats are metal bar stool so if you have a boney butt it will get uncomfortable fast. They blast rap music so don’t expect to be able to carry out a conversation without yelling. It was definitely an experience.

Which I’ve never heard of Ramen should come with the add on that’s what make it a good ramen. You pretty much pay for broth and noodles no toping protein you have to pay for protein. They charge for everything! I spent over $95.00 bucks on 3 simple bowels with 2 egg add on and an asked for seaweed and 3 drinks.. and 2 side dishes and did I mention there was hair In one of our bowls!!! The cooks are not wear hair nets thats why we found long strands of hair in the noodles for me this is my first and last at this place not worth the hype. If you want good ramen big portions with everything included drive to Rowland Heights or OC area! You will get your money worth I say skip this place!

Trendy ramen place at downtown Riverside. Ramen was too salty, I couldnt finish mine.Food ordered: Tonkotsu broth, regular noodles, with tofu and premium Japanese pork. Spicy.+ Prime location+ Vegetarian option available+ Theres a zero calorie noodle option+ Noodles were cooked to al dante+ Interior looks nice* Looks like they have a nice bar but it wasnt open when I visited* Red noodles werent available when I visited* Pay upfront, mostly self service- Way too salty! Everything!- The broth has no depth, all I can taste is salt...- Tofu has the most potential, but still too salty. One side was chared and I can taste some teriyaki flavor. There were three pieces, I ate one before I took the picture.- Japanese pork slides were alright. But the fat was falling apart and didnt look appetizing.- The stainless steel bench seats were not comfortable. Seating surface is hard and seating level is too high, plus theres no foot rest result in a very uncomfortable seating experience. I think they want me to go as soon as possible...

First time trying ramen and it was amazing!! It’s a little tricky to order (you have to study the menu a bit to make it to your liking) but it did not disappoint. Everything was extremely flavorful and hot and fresh. We ordered three ramens and each one was bomb. The only reason it’s short one star is pricing.. we paid $95 for three ramens and three pop’s. We sat outside and enjoyed the evening breeze. Would come back to try something different. It’s definitely a must try!!

This place is just all hype. I was finally happy to see a ramen place near by but what did I expect, in riverside a good one finally? Nope. I got the tonokatsu ramen and the broth was average, the noodles were rubbery, the chicken was insanely dry. This is the first place I have ever come across to charge for a egg!!! The San Diego Ramen shops would be offended if they saw the monstrosity of what this place does for ramen. I can’t believe I paid almost a tank of gas for subpar ramen. So disappointed in the food. Nummy noodle house, we call this the YAKUZA KITTY, because the murals are so CUTE! Open 24/7, the most delicious food you can put in your belly at the end of a work day or drunken night. The pork is of the highest quality, marbled with fatty melt-in-mouth umami. The broth is delicious, hot-steamy, tummy-filling goodness. Wish they had t-shirts, because the Yakuza Kitty is bad-a$$. Ramen was decent, but this place does not follow directions. I tried to call about my pick up order one night and no one was answering the phone. The next day I called I spoke with a gentleman and he took down my information. He stated that was all that I needed to get my rice replaced.if ppl have stomach ulcers or anything of that matter it irritates it because its a carcinogen either way. I am willing to consume the minor products .soy sauce, ramen broth etc.,but when Im paying . Please ensure that you follow directions. TOFU chunks are different the concentrated concept of soy which is solely in everything.i cannot have them because they hurt my stomach . I requested no soy and you guys put it all in my rice. I called a few minutes ago and the girls refer to the situation as if Im lying. Its not my fault you guys dont communicate properly and if he didnt take the proper procedure he needs more training as does the young lady who hung up in my face as I voiced my frustrations . Update a year later:Seems like the food has taken a turn for the worse. There is no chashu but instead a very dry piece of pork roast, not tasty at all. The eggs are not marinated, and most of the toppings were less than stellar.As a ramen snob, I cannot recommend this place for anybody who is a fan the ramen.Im surprised the seating also has not improved much the seats are quite uncomfortable especially the metal ones.Over all its good. Ive recently started exploring my city, and cities around me. When I go anywhere, I like to see what people have to say about the place of business. I have to say, am I glad I did when it came to Saku Ramen. I am a graveyard worker, so my days are nights, of course, and I ended up coming here with my siblings around 3 in the morning. Did not allow service dogs into the restaurant, which is illegal, and argued and forced us out. to add on, we called to see the situation. they lied to the caller, saying we threw menus, yelled, and caused a scene, and proceeded to hang up on the caller. they can check the cameras, this did not happen. the worker should be fired and it is not okay what they did. the worker handled the situation terribly. the dog is a fully trained 100% legal ADA service animal. there are cards as well. incredibly disappointed with the experience.

Honestly its metallic. The benches are all metal and tall so youre in a weird balance position. You have to order at the cashier station so you feel rushed when a line forms. Then its so loud and unfortunately cramped.The only way this place is wheelchair accessible is if someone orders for you while you wait outside and then brings your food to you. They dont have servers. So if you get forced to sit in the back you have to go through a tiny narrow walkway with hot soup.The food I guess was ok, I usually like spicy food, but only if I ask for it. They gave my my date and I added spicy to the Ramen. We still ate it just not comfortably. The noodles were kind hard not soft and chewy like good Ramen noodles should be. Overall the food was alright, just unfortunately the setting and extremely uncomfortable metal benches that dont let you touch the floor made it an unappetizing experience.

The host was awesome, but the bartender was nowhere to be found and when two young ladies showed up (presumably the bartenders), neither one of them said hello to any of the customers sitting at the bar. Really? I think asking for a tip at the hosts stand before the food is ready is a mistake. I had to find my seat and clear my table. What am I tipping for? Had I known I would not have given one. Not sure why there are so many bad reviews about this place. We went on a Tuesday around midnight after a concert. Yeah so it’s basically all bar/bench seating but what’s the issue? It’s not uncomfortable. And I loved that you got to customize your bowl. The creamy chicken broth was great, the eggs were really salty but I actually liked the flavor and they were perfectly cooked. Great Ramen place in Riverside! This has become my to go to spot when I get cravings for some delicious comfort food. The best part? It’s open 24 hours, no longer limited to greasy food late at night. The noodles were perfectly cooked and more importantly the broth is full of flavor without being too oily. The Tori was nice and creamy and didn’t skimp on the add on ingredients. Ambience is really nice as well with the music not playing overly loud but it is a little dark. The sitting arrangement is communal style but had plenty of space so didn’t feel too cramped. Happy we finally have a great ramen place in Riverside. No more having to drive to Pasadena!

People in front of us paid for their food and we paid we sat next to them. They got their food finish, another group sat next to us after they got their food and we still had not gotten our food. Since we saw everyone get their stuff and not us we went to ask and the two time we ask the girl/guy at the counter she brush us off and was rude. Noodles were uncooked and stuck together and the broth was lukewarm. Gave me tonkatsu broth instead of miso and I ask for spicy, it was not spicy. Overall not worth it. I understand being busy but if a customer is asking politely for an update it shouldnt be that hard to ask the other staff to check on it.

After reading some of the recent reviews I am sad to say that they are true. I came with the hopes of enjoying a bowl of Tonkatsu only to be informed that they were out of Tonkatsu, Niku, and Miso. I ended up getting a Tori with yellow noodles, pork, an egg, and just right for the spice. The soup was warm, the noodles were clumped together, and there was a hair in my ramen. I went to the casher to let her know about the hair and she seemed unsure of what to do. She went to ask what I only assume was her manager, Juan, who rudely asked me So what do you want, a refund or a new bowl? I told them I wanted a bowl and they both turned around and left, leaving we with the contaminated bowl in hand. Not for nothing but no one apologized. A simple Im sorry wouldve been nice. Overall I dont think Ill be coming back. The bad quality of food mixed with rude service leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

This Ramen shop is alright, I’ve been told time and time again that this is the best Ramen in the Inland Empire which makes me depressed as this Ramen would be considered sub-par in the San Gabriel Valley just a few miles west. The flavors are lacking, the noodles seemed too chewy and the cuts of pork were too thick giving the appearance of a lot of meat but in reality it was only two cuts and made the soup harder to consume quickly which is how one is supposed to eat Ramen so the flavors don’t diminish from the change in temperature or noodles getting mushy. The spice levels were abysmal to say the least, and the overall decor present in the restaurant couldn’t distract me from the cold and grey stainless steel tables and benches everyone sits at making me think of a prison cafeteria. All this comes at a premium that is hard to justify, perhaps the expense comes from their location and business hours? So that is why I only recommend this restaurant for anyone who has a grave craving for Ramen late at night or super early in the morning since this location is open 24 hours 7 days a week.

THE go-to spot for graveyard workers and night owls. If D happens to be there, he is one of the most chill and fun servers to brighten a night (or early morning). Along the selection of hardy broths, their pork cuts have the perfect ratio of meat and fat for flavor, and there has never been an egg that was overcooked. Theres even mushroom broth/spinach noodles for vegetarians. Top it off with a fancy selection of cream sodas which are definitely worth it with free refills. Their indoor seating tables could use some fine-tuning, but its nonetheless a place you can rely on.

First off, let me say that the food here is EXCELLENT. The hand painted murals on the walls are nice to behold and the menu is simple enough to understand at a glance.Where this restaurant fails is its seating, music, atmosphere and service.The seating looks and feels like it is straight out of a prison. Very uncomfortable metal benches seated high off the ground with no foot rest made for an unpleasant stay. Not to mention an eyesore.The music was atrocious playing hard explicit rap. Both the table and benches are fixed in place so unless you’re very tall or large you’ll either be close to standing or sliding off the bench. The line on a late saturday moved well enough for a place this small with great prescence. But overpriced! One bowl of Tonkatsu Ramen with the Japanese pork and extra noodle cost me $34. They charge you for Egg.... Egg... Egg! Charge for corn, bean sprouts and fish cake! These are normally included ar other restaurants. Then had the nerve to give me with burnt dry meat, or all fat(I had to pay an 10 upcharge for this.) And the noodle was undercooked! All together poor experience.

I am originally from the Long Beach/Orange County area and there’s plenty of ramen restaurants that taste like this one with a more reasonable price paid $90 for 3 people including myself. But since it’s the only decent place I’ve tried so far, so, it’ll do. It gets really packed and it takes so long to place an order so that’s a gripe I have. Another weird thing is having to pay for toppings. Not even extra toppings, just toppings in general. Which is a little funny. it’s like buying a burger and having to pay for the lettuce, tomato, onions, or other stuff. There is indoor seating and outdoor so that’s a plus. Overall, I’d recommend it only if you’re trying to get a great ramen fix and don’t care about waiting and overpaying. But if you’re on a budget for a simple meal maybe skip this place .

Ramen is tasty and delicious but it’s overpriced compared to the experience you get, the drinks are also not very good not option for tea. The staff looks overwhelmed and visibly unhappy To be there. The environment is loud, crowded, the tables and benches feel like they have been repurposed from a jail or a prison mess hall very uncomfortable to sit and dine in. It’s pretty dark inside the restaurant as well and the restrooms are not clean.

So if you’re going to order, order to go.I used to be a huge fan of this place when it first opened, but now it’s a 3 minute drive pain. The line is always 45+ minutes due to their only being 2-3 employees & 3 cooks. It’s a mess. Oh! This place is delicious! Kept seeing stuff on social media on how delicious it was and was a little skeptical. Did not want to get my expectations to high... But I ordered some to go and they asked for my number to let me know when it would be ready. Which I thought was great to go check out the stores near by while waiting. Got the miso, with yellow noodles, pork, bean sprouts,spinach, seaweed, ginger and spicy 🥵. It was amazingly spicy with the perfect amount of broth and noodles! We didn’t even bother.Second time I went last night at around 10:45-11 pm, again on a Saturday. Same amount of people if not more. Very friendly cashier this time! We got a table right away, our food came out in about 30 mins, not bad at all! Considering that we paid almost $50 for a takeout order of 2 ramens and the contents of our bowl being 99% noodles. I’d say I’m disappointed. I ordered “Extra Protein” and got a total of 5 .5oz pork cutlets. For a place to be open 24/7, you’d expect the food to be worthy of that kind of demand to stay open so long. Also fix the faucet ( missing hot water handle- that should he against the law). Unfortunately, I will not return because of the bathrooms keep up was long overdue. You can literally come at 3am any day of the week for ramen!This ramen facility is a pay by the item or build your own ramen kinda facility. Which is great because youre only paying for the ingredients you want!The eggs were perfectly soft boiled & seasoned. The broth was pretty good too!The pork chashu doesnt have that soft tender moistness to it that comes from being rolled, tied, seasoned, & slow cooked for several hours. It is more crisp. Almost like it is pan seared. Waited over 30 minutes just to order and on top of that another 30 for the food and this was before there was any people. Music was very inappropriate and that is coming from a young adult. Very inconvenient considering they only take card. Tables are super uncomfortable and super difficult to get in and out of. You enter and wait in a long line to order then you seat yourself and receive a text when your food is ready and have to walk and get it yourself. The quality is not consistent. Its usually good but sometimes its really bad. I had one really salty bowl one day and a really bland one another day. The waiting time is ridiculously long even at 3, 4 in the morning. The average wait time is 30min and the maximum is 1,5 hour. Excellent ramen shop in downtown Riverside. I had the miso broth with pork and yellow noodles. The broth is the standout here, rich and delicious, with the protein and noodles doing their part. Add an egg (a little extra $) and youve got a fantastic meal. Saku also offers a few Japanese beers that youre not likely to find in most other places, though these are a bit pricey (around $9 for a 12 oz can). Only change I would make is to the seating; a lot of the seating is composed of high, narrow metal benches that are not terribly comfortable. That aside, this place is a winner. Ill be back.

After much hype and following this place on IG I finally tried this spot yesterday. While it was good it was not nearly as good as the ratings say it is. The broth was ok, the pork was not fully cooked and the spicy was not spicy at all. This is also a small detail but Japanese broth or soups are meant to be served with a traditional broth spoon, not a regular plastic spoon. It takes away from the ramen experience when youre only able to consume small spoonfuls of broth. Also, the seating setup is terrible and uncomfortable. High steel bench seating with no foot rests is not how one wants to enjoy a ramen meal. I wont be back.

I stopped by after a visit to Kellys Spa. My usual place Simple Simons was already closed, so I tried Saku Ramen. Im glad I did. A good bit of ramen. The place is like something I would visit traveling to spots in the world. Those who complain about the atmosphere do not understand how ramen is served. Its a good choice. I would recommend.
