Great place for a quick lunch. The food is tasty and quite authentic in term of Thai flavor. We ordered papaya salad, lunch special pad Thai and lunch special cashew chicken. All of the dishes were delicious. You might want to ask for spicy version if you want it as served in Thailand.I wont recommend this place for dinner as the place is little too small and tables are quite close to each other.

The food was generally tasty and well-made. I especially enjoyed the crispy fish with garlic sauce because of its subtle savory, soft texture that paired well with its crispy exterior. The garlic sauce deepened and enriched the textures and flavors of the crispy fish well. The Thai iced tea was also nicely flavored, with a deep, earthy tea base mixed with the sweet milk and ice that made for a delightful, refreshing drink. The red curry was also good, and I generally enjoyed trying the combination of vegetables and meat steeped with the mild red curry. I also tried the Pad Eggplant, but unfortunately, I found it a little too salty for my liking. The restaurant was a little small, but the friendly and professional service from the staff gave the restaurant more merit.

We were missing Sala Thai 2 since it closed down and decided to go Sala Thai 3 for fish and seafood option . We saw familiar staff at the restaurant and they remembered us. They told us that the chicken and beef are from halal source. Food still consistent and very delicious . The portions are much smaller now

The chicken wings in sweet Garlic sauce were awful... they were straight out of the freezer, hot on the outside, cold in the inside. When I questioned the freshness, they said thats how they are, precooked. Gross, dont order these. Everything else is excellent.

Probably the best Thai restaurant in the Bay Area. One of the few places where I am willing to drive an hour to have dinner, even though there are tons of good Thai places in the city. Just about everything is good but their most popular dish is the garlic fish. The dishes in the pictures are Tod Mum (fish cake), and a new dish to which I cant remember the name.

This is definitely one of the better Thai restaurants in the area. Ask for spicy 🌶 because food is not that hot here. But all the dishes we tried had good flavors. I would highly recommend the seafood claypot and the pumpkin curry. The papaya salad was delicious with roasted peanuts but needs some serious chili added. Will definitely be back again!

Down to earth casual restaurant that cooks amazing family style thai food! This is how I would describe the place. Unlike other thai restaurants, this particular place perfected their seasoning. The food tastes savory, not extremely sweet/salty and they give good portion! Yes they make you pay extra for the rice, but that is so minor in comparison to how much extra meat/veggies they give per dish. My favorite is their Golden Tofu and Panang Curry. Lastly, their interior is alright, don’t expect too much because after all it is a casual restaurant.

Easily bottom of the 30+ Thai restaurants in Cal and Nevada weve eaten. (We have a goal of eating at a Thai restaurant at every city we visited)The blandness (with the surprised cury) of pineapple fried rice was only outdone by the soggy pad sew ew. These dishes were almost not passable in a hot and humid atmosphere. I wont comment too much of the service given the other reviews. I can only concur the insulting attitude and the fact that they got my simple order wrong.Im rather surprised by my experience given all there other wonderful reviews given previously. Not sure what has changed.

Sala Thai helped make our graduation party with 40 attendees perfection by providing a wonderful array of perfectly prepared traditional Thai dishes, curries, sides, and desserts. They had everything ready exactly on time, so the yummy, healthful food was as much a focus of attn as the graduate himself. Look here manye….i consider myself of somewhat of a fried food connoisseur. I don’t leave reviews. I just get my food and get out the way but this Fried Garlic Fish my GOD! There’s this kind of sweet garlic sesame seed sauce they pair with it. I’ve never tasted such a superb combination. I’m a big guy that loves to eat. 230lbs. Just the order of fish alone was enough to fill me up. I also had the red curry with sticky rice. Overrall 9/10 on the Garlic Fried Fish and 7.5/10 with the Red curry and Sticky rice.

I have ordered here before couple of times but never had issues but today my order had lots of insects specially ants. I had to throw my whole order. This is not hygienic at all. Nothing to not like. Placed online order on Yelp. I had special instructions and they were followed to the T. The Pad See Ew was flavorful. The amount of chicken was very good. I thought there could have been more egg in it. The order was ready for pick up before the 40-60 mins scheduled pickup time (which I thought was pretty high to begin with), so that was good too! Pretty pricey $20 (inc tax and tip) for 1 dish and the total quantity wasnt a lot either.

This place has saved me from starving at work! I would definitely say this restaurant was my introduction to Thai food. Everything Ive tried here has absolutely been surprisingly delicious. Most recently I ordered a rice with Shrimp and was so surprised to find how fresh the shrimp were. I get the food delivered from GrubHub and Ive never had an issue. A definite recommend!

Well this is my last time coming here, after an awful experience with the woman who takes the phone orders the time is 2:45 p.m. and its April 18 2022. I placed a small order soup and shrimp pad Thai. I explicitly asked that the food be medium spiced which it was not. The dish was tasteless, tons of noodles no sauce, over cooked shrimp. The dish lacked flavor and depth, clearly rushed. As a chef and business owner of a restaurant I know first hand things happen a person can have an off day and their dish can show it. I simply called to let them know I wasnt happy with the dish and with that what type of accommodation would be allowed. I asked if the pad Thai could be remade as it wasnt anything like I expected, mind you I have ordered food from this restaurant numerous times which my family and I have enjoyed numerous times and quite frankly I was surprised that the dish wasnt good at all on any level. To the woman taking the phone orders and handling complaints you need a refresher course in customer service. Lady when someone is telling you something is wrong with the food that was ordered you dont take offense and tell the customer sorry nothing can be done. Further suggesting that the pad Thai I received was perfectly fine. Unless you ate some of my food before sending it how would you know if it was fine? Never the less you would rather lose a local customer, that has enjoyed your food in the pass over a dish that cost you a few dollars to make. Smdh, you my dear lack professionalism and are bad for business. I am more than certain the owners of this establishment would not be in agreement with your behavior. You are the reason I will never revisit again. Shame on you!

Their fish in garlic sauce is great, as is the fried rice with crab meat. We also had some regular favorites, like Panang Curry with duck, and the entire range of appetizers. All of them were great.

Its easy to spend $100 worth of good food here at Sala Thai. Yellow Chicken curry is yummy. Pad Thai is delicious. Papaya salad is wonderful making you wonder why we dont make it more at home. The soup is a good blend of authentic flavors that you just cant get enough. Sweet & crusty fish is the most popular item in the menu and yes, its a must to have. Bottomline is, Ive eaten at all three locations and food is consistent. All locations are busy so make a reservation to be sure you get seated especially for big groups. I highly recommend Sala Thai for a good meal.

Food is awesome, the staff are really friendly and take care of you. They have only been open for a couple of months (older reviews are for the previous restaurant, which was nowhere near as good!). We started eating here when they were still in their soft launch phase and now go back nearly every week, we love the food! Working our way down the menu still, but the crispy fish is awesome. And the curry, any of them! Crab fried rice, yum! And our son (picky eater) loves, and I mean LOVES the chicken noodle soup (thai style of course).

Really enjoy the food at all 3 Sala Thai locations. Unfortunately picked the lunch hour at this one and the service was exceptionally slow. Tables were served out of order from when they were seated. This caused us to not receive our food until nearly an hour after we sat down. Normally I wouldnt complain about something like this, as it was lunch time and they were busy, but I happened to have my 22 month old daughter with me. Now I know I probably shouldnt be trying to get lunch during lunch time with a toddler, but at the same time you would think they might take extra notice with us, if nothing else but to get us out faster. They did the opposite and my toddler had a meltdown, which is why I am writing this, since she cannot. Other wise food was excellent and Ive never had issue with their service before.

Ive had a hard time finding great Thai food in the Bay Area. I loved the food here because it was spicy, the meat was fresh, and it was reasonably priced. I tried the Pad Kee Mao and the curry, and both were very flavorful and delicious. Lunch specials are a great deal, and it wasnt too busy during lunchtime.

Some of the best thai food Ive had in the Bay Area has been at the Sala Thai chains. Its a popular place so it can get crowded and rowdy. But Im willing to put up with that for really good food. Definitely get at least one of the crispy fish dishes - just pick your favorite sauce! Its so good. Then get a curry to pour over jasmine or sticky rice. YUM!

Poor customer service. The middle aged guy working there has no sense of respect towards others. A tip for that worker: leave your personal issues behind before you clock in for work. Customers are not going to return if you don’t treat with respect and courtesy, especially if they are addressing you with respect.
