A basic, build-your-own salad place. Ingredients were fresh, but nothing gourmet. Id say on par with Subway. There are no salad recommendations, so you have to go down the line choosing all your ingredients one by one. I enjoyed the food, but didnt like eating out of the stainless steel mixing bowl. Also the tables, chairs and booths were dirty. Good place to grab and go.

I finally came in and tried the salad, and I am glad I did they have several options for your salad 🥗 . The protein options are pretty good as well. It was pretty slow when I visited, which was good due to it being the first time here, so I can decide what to get. The service couldve been better, but maybe it was one of those days for the person behind the counter. They also have fresh cookies 🍪 some teas to drink and soda etc

Im generally not an eat a salad for a meal kind of person. (Ill pause so those of you would like to judge me can do so now.) So getting a meal from Salata is not usually my first choice...but I was feeling a little icky and felt a strong desire for something healthy...like really healthy, not healthy-ish, and salad seemed the way to go.I ordered via one of the food delivery services. There are a ton of options with plenty of pre-designed salads for you to choose from, plus the build your own which is what I chose.I picked a lot of ingredients, including Kale, Mango, Blueberries, Cucumber, Carrots, Radish, Jicama, Edamame, Beets, Corn, Green Peas, Blue Cheese, Almonds, and Mandarin Orange. Theres a note that says they may not have some things (seasonal ingredients) so I was prepared for disappointment. (I mean at least 50% of food delivery order get something wrong in our experience.) I was prepared for it to not be all that fresh. I was prepared, especially, for it to be a giant base of the chosen lettuce (kale) and a smattering of all the ingredients.All of my preparations were for naught (and this may be the first time Ive typed the word naught) as the salad was super fresh, everything I asked for was included, and there was plenty of it!This salad tasted fantastic and it was big enough to have enough left over for the next days lunch.I dont know how often salad will be my main mail choice, but when that eventuality comes around, thanks to the quality and taste I get from Salata, I will not hesitate to choose it again.

Very nice, clean and well-maintained restaurant. You can make your salad, or wrap, and get soup with brad. The best part, you have huge options to choose from. Fresh vegetables, fruits, meat, different flavor tortillas and dressing.Good customer service under friendly and professional management.

Pretty neat concept, kinda like a fancy subway but for salads lolI should of just ordered a salad instead of getting it wrapped but it was still good.Reasonably priced and you can add a ton of ingredients, which is awesome.Its no gourmet salad but you get exactly what you want. Total was $10. Its like a fast food establishment, but healthy lolId eat here again.Yelp checkin gives you a free drink.Omg the peach lemonade is sooo refreshing and delicious

I used to go to salata once a week but havent been in a few years.. Im not sure what happened to this place. I did an online order for 2 reg salads. On one salad I got the salata mix with arugula, kale, veggies and salmon. Paid extra for the salmon and it was a super tiny piece that had so many bones in it. The bones to fish ratio was crazy. we did not expect to worry about bones in a salad.. and with no warning at all. Not okay. My poor mom swallowed one before she realized what it was. This is incredibly dangerous. Also they dont process their kale so its like eating leaves off a tree. Extremely disappointed. The only reason I didnt give it one star is thanks to the pesto chicken and free croissants. Do not recommend the kale or salmon unless you like picking out tiny individual bones from your salad.

For a fresh, packed with healthy and tasty ingredients salad, theres no place better. Start with a variety of lettuces, then go down the row and choose from dozens of added items to load your salad bowl with. From peas and corn, to sun died tomatoes and edamame; then choose your protein, if you wish. Add the dressing and your masterpiece in healthy eating is ready, to dine in or take out.Ive only been to this location, so cant speak for the others. But this one is excellent in every regard. Salads are refreshing, great ingredients, but I have three gripes that Im surprised the owner hasnt thought through.1) The wait time. Especially if youre going for lunch, its insane. I usually wait about half an hour, people who are on lunch breaks cant afford waiting 30 minutes to order a salad, which brings me to:2) they have ridiculously tiny pans for most of their leafy greens. They can literally make like 2 bowls before they have to refill them again, which hurts their production and makes the customer wait longer. They have to keep refilling it constantly, so Im sure even the employees would appreciate much larger serving pans - it just makes no sense how they have it setup.3) From a time management point of view - why they have some ingredients located on the opposite side of the prep area makes no sense. Bring the croutons, pumpkin seeds, almonds, etc over with the rest of the toppings so they can all be added all at once.If they made these changes it would speed up their production and not leave their customers annoyed. Gripes aside now, the staff is friendly and helpful, in particular there is a man with an accent I dont recognize who is very professional.

Really enjoying this place as my new lunch spot. They make incredible salads and everyone there is really nice and helpful. They have adapted to the odd times we are in and get you in and out quite quickly. They have so many options the combinations are really endless. Everytime Im done eating there Im full for the entire day. The quality of their food items have always been superb, which really solidifies my reason for going there. Favorite thing I throw in the mix of all my salads are their fresh cut jalapenos! No idea what where they get these, but they are the tastiest jalapenos Ive seriously ever had. I dont think Ive ever called a jalapeno experience refreshing, but thats what it is. Like a fresh spicy punch in the mouth. They have lots of dressing options as well. I always go for a combination of the herb vinaigrette and lemon vinaigrette, which I believe is a phenomenal combination. Due to their endless options, everytime you go there you can do something different and it will feel like a new lunch experience. I look forward to my work week so I can make it back over to Salata for lunch.

I have been coming to salata for years. It definitely is not cheap. But it is fresh and consistent.The Layout:The layout is good, it is a nice open space you can see your food before you get it, they have one row of seats out front if you want to eat outside a couple of tables are under a covered patio area and Ive never had to wait for a seat to open.The Service:the service is good they have a nice assembly line type setup that controls even the most heavy of lines. The table cleaning could use an added round but, they are busy.The Menu:The menu is short and sweet they have salads, wraps, and a kids meal. The price is as of July 2019 are as follows.9.50 for a large veggie salad8.50 for a small veggieIf you add chicken its 3.50-4.50 extra.6.50 for the kids meal (it does have a kid friendly box that comes in handy on the go)Overall:Fast, fresh, and friendly. 🙂

Delicious healthy reasonably priced food!Most of the people who work here are helpful, friendly and have a great attitude.Not sure if theres a manager present. There was one guy cleaning salad bowls and slamming them together making a terrible racket (making it hard for me to sit and eat in peace so I left), then throwing the furniture about to quickly arrange the tables. Seemed like a very unhappy possibly angry worker. I asked if he was okay, he said yes but didnt seem like it.Everyone has hard days in life. Someone should check in with him to see if he is okay.Otherwise its a nice place to get some healthy food.

Really like the fact that customers are separated from the food and the staff does the salad assembly (gloved). Have been to too many salad bars trashed by sloppy customers. The quality of the ingredients is significantly better than other big salad oriented chains. Been here a dozen times and Im stuck on the pesto chicken (protein option); very tasty! Drink options are unique. Im a big guy (64/225) but have trouble finishing the large and I dont even get the bread that comes with it. Good customer oriented staff.

Was complaining to someone that my salad place I go to closed down and i wasnt sure where to go get my salads. They recommended this place being only 10 minutes from the town center . Halfway through my salad I went back to the counter to ask for more salad dressing. I was told I would be charged for it Sorry, it company policy the employee said. Forget it I replied, no way Im paying for it just because I did not think to ask for more when my salad was built.Seriously, how much is a scoop of dressing worth? 1cent?So I had to finish my salad but thankfully I did not have to pay for tap water so that helped to swallow my dry salad...Just for principle, I will not caution this kind of stupid corporate rule and will not go back there.What happen to customer service? I live in San Diego and every time I visit family in Granada Hills I stop here at Salata! Their salads are amazing and the options are so fresh and filling! Today when I went the girl preparing my salad had gloves on and then went to the back to get a (dirty) ladder to grab something from the shelf above! After she put the ladder back she continued preparing another customers wrap without changing her gloves 😕 it won’t stop me from going back but maybe she should be more aware of what her hands are touching even with a glove on!

Food is good. Customer service is terrible. We arrived close to when it was closing. We sat down when it officially closed. They immediately began cleaning up the place around us and we did not feel welcomed. They pulled away all the Iced Teas while we were eating our food so we could not get any refills. I was not impressive, and also disappointed, I order a simple mix salad with a 1/2 tsp of egg, 5 pieces of pepino, 1/2 of tsp of beets and $12. I did not add protein or etc. I ask for oliva oil, morena vinegar and some lime. She put it on top of the salad by the time I drive 15 min and walk and sit, it was soggy and burn. My first and last. sorry but the concept is good the final product is nothing to be exited about.

Salata is the Chipotle of salads!!!!I mean they have almonds, bleu cheese, Quinoa, tofu, beets, grapes, pineapple, alfalfa sprouts and even sesame sticks... Whatever your little heart desires they have it for you to drop in that salad!How It Works:Salads come in two sizes small and regular. Go for the regular its $1 more but a noticeably larger amount.You choose any combination of lettuce (I love their salata mix with kale yumm) then you chose your toppings.You can have an unlimited variety of veggies, nuts, cheese and fruits.The dressing selection is immense. I personally loved their lemon vinaigrette but they have a fat-free mango I am dying to try.Now your protein is extra and depending on your choice the prices range from $2-$3. I went crazy and got the seafood mix which was delish($3)!!The whole set-up is assembly -line style so you choose as you go. Service was fast and simple everything was laid out for the eye to see.If you dont want a salad they also have really tasty wraps with the same concept in mind.Overall great place!

Having only been to Salata once previously—in a Downtown LA food court—I appreciated the Granada Hills staff being so patient and helpful. The restaurant was clean and inviting, so I was all the more able to enjoy a massive, refreshing salad in this 100+ degree heat.The wi-fi is handy, too 😄.Ill definitely be returning.

Their options for making a salad are very good but I have a few comments/suggestions:- Salata should really consider offering real silverware instead of the faux silverware they offer (it looks metallic but is disposable plastic). The bowls arent disposable, so why not also wash metal silverware to be more eco-friendly- Dont bother with the regular size unless you are sharing. Its a giant bowl that feels awkward to eat alone.- My wife found a small piece of wood in her salad. This was probably from some mixing spoon/fork. Luckily she spotted it before accidentally chewing it.- the chipotle sauce has kick! Do sample if you are a light weight for heat.- Consider thinly slicing onions rather than dicing. Sometimes the diced onions affect the taste adversely if too strong.- Cut the tomatoes a bit more. I think this would be prefered over the rather large pieces they serve right now.
