We are so happy Sam Woo opened/extended their delivery to our area again. Most of their dishes are consistent. I hope the management will improve the quality of their to go/delivery packaging quality. Ordinary to go foam boxes will leak the sauce and get messy when opening at home. But other than that, great restaurant to try Chinese food.

Had a mini-reunion with relatives. We ordered food for 3 tables. There were around 8-9 items per table. Food came hot and fast.I particularly enjoyed the Fried Sole, Seafood Chow Mein, West Lake Soup, Fried Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Fried Rice, and Assorted Vegetables in Hot Pot. I was only able to take pictures of a couple items.

We didnt have to drive to San Gabriel or Irvine to enjoy the authentic HK food. Sam Woo in Cerritos just never disappoints. (But don’t expect the excellent or attentive service though, it’s busy as always:))

I miss SamWoo in Irvine (shut down for a few years now) and barbeque pork and roast duck so I drove for 45 minutes to this one, but so disappointed food was not great at all. I couldnt finish 1/3 of the plate. Service dont bother me since I wasnt going there for the service. Will try in LA next time if I am ok in the area.

This Chines restaurant was good. The service was just a bit slow and some of the staff was rude. The food is good tho. I just wish the the staff was a bit nicer.

Food is good, service is hit or miss, a little pricey, and the venue is in desperate need of a remodel. Been eating here for a long time(15+ yrs). Not a go to spot but if you are craving family style Chinese food itll do. Recommend House Special Beef and Fried Tofu w/ XO sauce.

Kinda pricey overall, 18 bux for a plate of vegetables, no meat, and the green beans though plentiful were low on flavor. The meat plate was delicious though not spicey as indicated. Friendly, courteous wait staff though not enough for quick responses. Chili oil not great, disappointing. We will come again to try more dishes though as menu is long on variety.

Food is amazing! Everything always tastes delicious and the service is fast. Ive been going there with my family for 15 years now and Ive never had a bad experience. Each ala carte plate ranges from $10 -$13 during their luncheon special. Dinner is almost double though. Also dont expect them to speak perfect English as they are an authentic Chinese restaurant but their menu is in both English and Chinese. Also, they dont make small conversation nor do they check on you every 15 mins to see if you need anything as the restaurant is run at a fast pace. They get you seated fast and served fast which is always a plus for me. They could do better with the cleanliness of their bathroom though. It needs a bit of updating.

I have been at this location multiple times (BBQ take out side) and the service has always been awful. A little disclosure, this restaurant has two sides, one a sit down area restaurant and in the back there is a separate take out section, same kitchen for both sides. This review is for the take out section only.Heres the most recent experience. The lunch items were minimal, hardly any of the steam trays have any food in them. The deli side is ok, Ive seen better selection in Westminster and Garden Grove. I ordered one of the lunch special combos, the serving was plentiful because they were emptying the steam trays, so I got the leftovers.Time to pay, mind you the two Chinese guys in front of me paid by credit card, I was told cash only when I handed mine. On the way out, there was a piece of roasted pork that caught my attention so I asked how much is it for the piece, the person behind the counter said, minimum 1 pound. I left. The food was mediocre at best. The fried rice was mushy (youd think they will have this perfected.) The dish was bland. The free egg drop soup was borderline 3rd graders homemade adhesive glue, too much cornstarch slurry not enough eggs dropping. If youre in the area, this place is great because the only competition is the 99 Ranch Market for some quick Chinese deli. As for me, coming from The OC, there are plenty of options.
