Seemingly popular among locals and passersby alike . Food is Fresh, I tried Al Pastor Tacos and Chile Verde . The flavor of Al Pastor was good, but I expected slightly more crispier texture, and salt was on the lower end, when had with tortillas it’s not adequate. Chile Verde was good but I had better ones . Sure a place to try out when you drive by . Support local businesses.

I was riding my motorcycle out in East Nicklaus decided to get a bite to eat.Pulled up and decided to try him out it was a best burger I ever ate in my lifeVery nice folks. So now once a month I will have to go get one of those burgers

Even though Im the vegetarian I love a good burger stand. Pure nostalgia and good times.I love sitting outside on a hot day having a root beer float and some onion rings. Both of which were excellent here. I love that this place popped up out of nowhere in the middle of nothing it was awesome.

My familys been going to Sammies for many moons now. You cannot drive down by town of Nicholas without pulling off the Hwy and grabbing yourself some OMGoodness Deliciousness 😋Whether you want Mexican food or just a burger and fries or maybe a chicken sandwich or chicken strips. They have regular fries they have crinkle cut fries, garlic fries, asada fries (all cooked to order and served fresh)they have breakfast lunch and dinner!And their milkshakes are the old school homemade and thick!Or if you just want to come for dessert and grab yourself some ice cream or a banana split!Its well worth the drive no matter where you live or what youre craving, its here!Enjoy!~tamara💋*YES THEY HAVE RESTROOM*

***Had to change my review***. Ordered basic burger in person. Literally no time for the burger to die between receiving and eating and the pictures will speak for themselves. Bacon scraps, wilted lettuce and over ripened tomatoes. I live lest than 3 minutes away.Last experience wasnt that great but it certainly wasnt this bad...Too bad... I liked supporting the local business...

They didnt put bacon on my avocado bacon burger, aside from that the fries were crispy and well salted, and the burger patty was about what you expect from a place like this. I probably wouldnt go out of my way to visit but if you happen to be right here its probably the best option without driving 15 miles in any direction

A little roadside gem hidden from the busy world, but known by all the locals, Sammies restaurant offers American and Mexican food that is truly divine. There is a quaint outside area to dine with lots of country charm surrounding you. Definitely worth the stop! We usually get bacon, cheeseburgers, or tacos but you really cant go wrong with anything on the menu.

We stay at Thousand Trails RV Resorts (TT) throughout this great Country. The best thing TT did is put a Sammies Restaurant at Lake Minden Resort in Nicolaus CA. It sits overlooking the lake, it is clean and the staff are GREAT!! Oh yeah, the food is off the chart good as well! Great improvement!!

Ok I’m fairly new around here. I’m always driving past Sammies. I am so happy to discover this amazing lil gem! The super carne asada burrito is so delicious. My daughter ordered the wet burrito with carne asada and my son ordered a carne asada burrito as well. We all agree that this is our new fave place! It’s very authentic. I can’t wait to try more items on the menu.

If this was a hut on a beach in Cancun, youd be lining up, chilling out and enjoying the vibe! I think the Mexican food is probably better than the American food, based on my wifes testimony about her street tacos. But this is way better than you expect based on the location and the building. And its the best place for miles and miles.

I love finding this kind of place. I was craving a chorizo breakfast burrito on my was back home from a long trip and Im glad google showed this place I called in to order so when I got there I just had to pay and leave. I ordered a chorizo street tacos, and it was pretty good. I think that the chorizo was a little bit overcooked, but, other than that, it was pretty tasty. My father ordered a cheeseburger. And French fries, he said it was really good. So, all in all, I recommend yall give Sammies a try. It wont disappoint ya.

When youre heading home and look for restaurants nearby and this comes up in a middle of nowhere, you know the food will be good. It is a bit pricey, but a belly-filling menu nonetheless. It is a family-run/owned business. This is sort of a spot for visitors as they are cruising along their journey and are famished and stumble upon. As you should or do know, if you are hungry, dont make a mistake of buying a lot of food off of their menu. They give aplenty. Their milkshake is as thick as it can get. Enough fries with an order of burger. Cali burrito is fire. Highly recommended.

Before today I would have left Sammies a 5 star review. We are regulars customers and locals. We talk with the owner all the time and he has always gone above and beyond with his customer service. The long wait times and issues others complained about never bothered me, because of the kindness and servitude I received previously. Today that changed unfortunately.. we ordered two large guacs and chips. What we order regularly. The owner directly told us he doesnt sell that there which he does we get it often but thats okay maybe he stopped selling it. Then he says he can sell it to us for twenty whopping dollars.. so we buy it. He only filled it halfway. At this point I was very angry. I look in the bag to find only one small bag of chips. Word of mouth will get around when you treat people badly youre gonna lose your customers. Overall he was very rude and charged us way too much and skimped on the food. This has never happened here beforeeveryone who works here including the owner has always been so kind and helpful. Im not sure if today was an off day for his but I wont forget this. There was a time I ran out of ranch at home and he gave us a huge thing of ranch for a good price.. thats the reason I always supported his business I have my entire family go here and tell people who come into my work about them. My words wont be so kind any more. He has lost a family of regulars we wont be going there anymore and we spend at least 100 bucks a month there in effort to help keep local businesses . At the very least. Customer service matters and when your a small business its everything. Very disappointed.

Nearly an hour for a patty melt & fries. Seems like most reviews arent telling you to phone your order ahead during busy times. Was told itd be about 20 minutes. That said the patty melt was delicious with grilled red onions. Just phone ahead or set aside an hour for wait at lunch time.

My buddy and i stopped here for lunch. We ordered some Chile Verde burritos but since I am vegetarian I couldnt have the chicken the chef said he would make me a veggie burrito. Someone told me about the 4 Meat Nachos. So I tried them and they are good. But too salty, and I like salt. This would be a five star review. To be fair I have not tried anything else. But I have ordered the Nachos three times now and all three times they were too salty. The flavor is great and I can tell if they were no so salty they would be to die for. Sammies if you are reading these reviews cut back on the salt just a little bit. Thanks.

The food was good but the wait was atrocious and there were only two people ahead of me.After they took the order from the person ahead of me i stood at the window between 5 and 10 minutes before they took my order. It was another 15 minutes before I got my food and was able to go sit down to eat it.I would hate to see how long it would take if they had more than 5 people or even 10 people who wanted to order. It would have been over an hour wait.I stopped here while on a motorcycle ride and thought of bringing a group but quickly decided it would be better to fingers another place. Again the food was ok, it was just to long of a wait.

This tiny place always has a lot of people waiting in their food. You can order at the windiw and sit outside until your number is called. Today we ordered chocolate shakes. The old-fashioned kind. Thick and rich.We really enjoy their tri-tip sandwiches. Most of the time theyre really good. Once in a while the meat has a lot of gristle. Cant win every one!

We had the torta and the ribeye steak sandwich with chips and salsa complimentary...I couldnt have been more disappointed. Absolutely no flavor with steak. The bread for the torta was grossly oversized (flavor was ok though) which took away from the filling. Salsa was so bland. I wish I could give a better but we were so upset after this first time, probably wont give them a second chance.

Very disappointed been telling my wife how good there food is. I showed up today ordered a cali burrito it was full of potatoes and rice very little meat. Plus there was no nacho cheese in it at all........wont be going back. Any time soon.

We had great experience first time when we met the owner and gave order direct to him and burrito was so yummy but second time owner wasnt there and we had to order food to staff oh my god we just wasted time and money they fill uo burrito with cooked vegetable....the taste was just so bad and just left food there and decided not to go there if owner isnt there so i always ask on phone if owner there but he is never available thts what the staff told us o phone anyway jus make sure dont waste your money if you find staff is not qualified to prepare food for you.
