We have a great time out after a long time. The service was a little slow with the drinks compared to the sushi was out so fast. They arrived at the same time. The food was amazing and such large portions. We will go back.
Samarai Sushi 2 is the best sushi in town! Never a long wait, great sized portions and tastes amazing!Everything they serve is like a piece of art, even when you get it to go! Very nice staff.
This was my 2nd day in a row, this time taking other family to this establishment. A bit pricey but the food itself was excellent. Im Japanese and I was very/extremely pleased to present this establishment to others. I just have 2 other places to check out, then I will know what the best (my opinion of course) Japanese restaurants are in the high desert area is?

Very fresh and very delicious! I wish Id known about this place years ago. We had several different dishes sashimi and rolls, all were really great. The sushi chefs are the staff were great and very accommodating, it was a really great meal. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for some good Japanese food!
Great portion and interesting flavor which shocked us. I think the Picasso and water fall were the best.
I would give no stars if possible. Went two times and both times left before even receiving drinks. Waitresses are so rude and slow and always has a weird smell and not clean.
Awesome atmosphere, great service, supreme sushi. Menu has a wide variety of options, something for everyone at reasonable prices. Delicious is an understatement, if I could give this place a sixth star I would.

Wife ordered a roll and it came out and looked like the top was melted. She tried to pick it up and it just fell apart. Impossible to eat. I had crunch rolls which were ok, but they unrolled as you tried to pick them up. Told the waitress about the melted roll that wasnt eaten and we still got charged for it. The total bill was 115.00. This was our first trip trying this establishment out. Most likely wont be back. We were told by friends that frequent this establishment that its the best in Hesperia....perhaps new staff?...

Service was horrible. Nothing but attitude from our server the entire time. The waiters looked overwhelmed with how busy it was. The chef had to continuously be giving guidance to keep everyone moving. Maybe we ordered the wrong rolls, but they weren’t the best either. Not trying to be rude, but we did not have a good experience. We expected more with all of the good reviews but, not impressed.
I had to say the sushi was amazing . I have not try the other plates but sushi definitely one of the best.
Awesome! My second favorite Sushi place in the High Desert because my first one is Samurai Sushis other store in Victorville. They always serve high quality, fresh sushi. A must try!

We waited a little bit longer for the sushi but its cause they are lacking chefs and waitresses but its okay though! They gave us huge portions of the fish as we ordered Nigri and not rolls. They are currently closed on Wednesdays and Sundays.
Service was not the best, but could have also been worse. They did send us a delicious appetizer on the house. 2/4 of the rolls we got were good. We also felt there were a ton of fried options and less non fried options and we do not eat fried sushi so that was a downfall as well.
After coming to this location for years, probably wont be back due to a very rude employee, Laura. We love this restaurant and have always been treating with kindness till today! The first women to seat us was kind and accommodated our seating as we had 3 children and needed highchairs. Our waitress, Laura, did not introduce herself and walked up to our table with an attitude right off the bat and asked us are you guys ready? Not a hi, nothing. Hadnt even taken a drink order from us. We ordered and everything was fine. Food was great as it always is. Having 3 kids of course things get a little crazy with a mess. After eating she asked if wed like dessert, I told her it was my friends birthday and if they sing happy birthday. She told me no we dont, this isnt Chuck E. Cheese with an extreme attitude and walked away. Im not sure who is doing the hiring in this place but I dont think I seen that employee (Laura) crack a single smile the whole time we were there. Maybe she was having a bad day but this doesnt mean she should be rude to customers that were there to enjoy a dinner with their friends and family for a birthday. Plenty of restaurants sing happy birthday to people, not just Chuck E Cheese. I hope she receives a serious attitude check or the boot for such a bad attitude.
So I have avoided updating this review but I have gone back 3 times lately and experienced the same issues so I wanted to bring it up. Taste-wise the food is still great. However, the last 3 times over a couple months everytime I go in it smells like sewer. Not like bad fish, but literally sewer. Its not great. Beyond that the rolls have been falling apart religiously no matter which ones we order. Nothing stays together anymore. Like I said, it still tastes good but these 2 issues will make me not want to come back for a while unfortunately.

Second time since last review. Service is worse. Waited 20 min before the hostess even took our names. Three empty tables. Said she had to call the list first. Took someone that came in after us (party of 2) and put them at a 4 seat, the next table up was a 2 seat and there were 3 in our party. We left after waiting 30-45min. The food is great but not worth the wait. Terrible service. Go elsewhere for sushi or try the Cuban place next door.Last review: Would be 5* but the seating took a while with two empty tables bussed. Great Sushi though.

I love this place its really clean and nice, there prices are really decent comparing with other palaces in the area I trying all the places in town and trust me this is the BEST Sushi they give you appetizer and deserts for free and the service and food are really excellent, completely recommended.
We love this place and have been waiting for a long time to go back to dine in. I couldnt go, but my parents went here here today to celebrate my brothers birthday. They were sat pretty quickly, placed and received their drinks. Filled out the order form for food, and waited. And waited.. They made eye contact with the waitress, and she ignored them. Doted on the table right next to them, and my family waited for so long that they saw that same table get their food as well.This waitress had to walk by their table to get to any other tables, and she didnt say anything else. Blatantly ignoring them when flagged and wouldnt take the ticket; never asked if they needed anything. They didnt get any acknowledgement until 6 tables/tickets after, when the man behind to counter came around and picked up their order form. They had to leave, its very disappointing, but Ive never had a bad experience here until now. Its depressing. We love this place and we always tip over 20%. Weve purchased many platters and take out from here during quarantine and while their dining room was closed, thousands of dollars because we wanted to make sure the places we love had support during a tough time. Ive been coming here for years because they have the best soju, best service of all the high desert sushi restaurants. But its disappointing. Not going to come here anymore. I cant imagine why this happened

Dining in is always great but the to go and phone system is trash! No one ever answers the phone and on the rare occasion that some one actually does answer it’s on the 10th attempt of calling. If you want to go, the best option is going in to order and then waiting an hour in the parking lot for your order. Perhaps it’s time to allow a third party service for to go orders.
This is one of those little hole in the wall type of sushi restaurants but they always have the best food and service. Had a quail shooter with my wife and they were the best if your into that sort of thing.

They are generous on the portion, but with salmon sushi pieces its cut a little too awkward.Like many other businesses, they are understaffed on waitresses. Leading to minor delay on things during busy times. Otherwise, recommend a visit.
Highly recommend this place I never would go there because they have mops sitting outside on the side of the building so I never went in until a friend said come eat there and I said I dont know the place looks sketchy with the mops out there looks are deceiving best sushi in the high desert.. They should move their cleaning supply because you can see it from outside when you drive by. Highly recommend this place though very clean service is amazing they always give you a little free appetizer and a little free dessert best sushi in the high desert.

This place is really good. Having come here during quarantine the wait actually wasnt too long. It took them around 20 minutes to finish my order even though they were already very busy so the service is pretty much amazing. They also have very nice waitresses that make sure to help and answer questions between their working. Very efficient and they even have a rewards system so id you do enjoy it its worth coming back! If youre wanting sushi on a budget theres even a cheaper menu for 6 piece rolls for less than $10 and most around $5-7. For sushi thats pretty affordable and delicious! I 100% recommend trying this place out.

Got takeout and the rice on the sushi was very stale. I was waiting for it to finish so it wasnt sitting out or anything like that. The California roll was also strangely sweet and the spicy tuna was overloaded with salt. The chefs I usually see there were gone with new people so not sure if that was the cause of the problem, but just disappointed with the drop in quality with the increase in price.

Little pricy for us, ordered Sushi, but the tuna had vains in it so little hard to eat it that way, also I wasnt sure they actually gave me yellowtail it was too white and yellowtail has a pink in it. Service was good and we were given a couple of complimentary items which was good. First time there.

Best decision in weeks!The sushi is beautifully prepared and lovingly presented and a superior value. Cut rolls at an average price of $11 to $12 is a remarkable feat. But not only is the Sushi terrific, the service is quick and the interior is easily one of the nicest sushi joints in which Ive ever eaten in more than two decades, no kidding.Go treat yourself! 😁👍🏻
Honestly this place on its customer service alone needs a 10 plus stars. The food was great compare to the other sushi places in the HD. Will come again to try other items on the menu. Wow.. I have to say, I was visiting Cali and stopped by for lunch.. Huge portions.. And fresh delicious food. Service was great and the place was sparkling clean and smelled freshly cleaned.. Not even a fishy smell.. Everything was delicious and fresh. Honestly, best sushi I have had and being a New Yorker visiting the west coast, Ive had my share. This is definitely my goto spot for sushi when Im in that neck of the woods. Try them out, you will not regret it.
My family has been enjoying Samurai Sushi for over 9 years (victorville location) and Ive never left a review. This week we tried the Hesperia location for the first time as a family, and it was just as delicious. Before Samurai Sushi came to the area we drove to city of industry every week for our fix, but have never returned to our old haunt. We are willing to drive anywhere for good food.. but because the food, the service and the quaint atmosphere of Samurai has kept us satisfied, there is no need for us to. My mother retired and moved to Mexico, shes been visiting and has been to eat at Samurai five times in three weeks. Its her favorite restaurant, and a family staple for us. Thank you Samurai, we really appreciate having you around.
It is a nice sushi restaurant, located in Hesperia. I have been here once, in 2018, while visiting my family in High Desert. The meals, that I have ordered, were delicious. The service was fast and prompt. While the place, itself, was clean. The prices for the meals were quite fair. So definitely, if anyone is in High Desert, I would recommend to visit this establishment!
Really good sushi and best prices in town. The service is always professional and quick, the atmosphere is comparable to most sushi places and the music is always eclectic. The chef provides a free desert with all orders which is great for the kids but I usually pass, I had my fill of apples in peanut butter in grade school. The prices are what keep me coming back.

If you want top notch sushi with the best service you have to come here. You will feel more than welcome and will absolutely love the food. I bring my family every couple weeks and never had a bad experience. We started going to the first location in Victorville and they have never disappointed. Both spots are great!! These are the two only places we will go and we have tried them all up here.
Outstanding Service! Waitresses are friendly and they higher our younger working class in the area which is good news for our youth graduating from high school. The chefs are friendly, greet you when you walk through the doors as well as when you leave. Not to mention they provide a delicious spicy appetizer and light delicious dessert when you leave. The dessert might throw you a bit, I mean after a sushi dinner the last thing I am thinking about is a apple and peanut butter dessert but it is actually quite tasty. The sushi is also delicious and there during the week specials are a awesome price for a sushi night out.
First time ordering takeout from this location. Their website menu pictures redirect me to their google page so assumed they would be accurate. I ordered their Sakura Combination which shows as $20 as a portion for 1 person. When I arrived the price was actually $33 and the portion was more than I could finish.I dont appreciate paying more than was advertised to me and then having to throw out the food I paid for. The person who answered the phone did not clarify the price with me and the person who took my card immediately asked if it was an old menu. How hard is it to have an actual menu on your website when this known issue has obviously been around for a while?Ive never tried just whole Sashimi or Sushi so I wanted to try out a $20 portion with some rolls. Even though I personally dont appreciate the texture, the quality was good. The spicy tuna rolls were below average to other sushi places Ive eaten at.
Got take out today. This is actually my go-to-place for sushi and roll in Hesperia. Always consistently delicious! Been going here for a long time, and they’ve definitely maintained their quality of fish. If you are coming here for a meal peak times, be ready to wait. At this time they are open for take out only so you don’t have to wait luckily. ;)

This is my second time visiting samurai sushi and I must say that this place is pretty awesome!! You can’t get much better for what you pay here. This is a really good value for what you spend. Fresh, flavorful ingredients to go along with a nice presentation. The staff is always welcoming and attentive. Place is clean to go along with a nice ambiance. This place is a must try for anyone who enjoys Japanese cuisine!!

It is a nice restaurant. I have been here once, several years ago. It was before this pandemic. The meals, that I have ordered, were delicious. The place was clean and neat. There was ample of space, to sit down, and enjoy a meal. The prices, though, were on the expensive side. Still, those meals were worth every penny. Definitely, if anyone is in Hesperia, I would recommend to stop by this establishment. I will, definitely, visit this establishment. Of course, I will visit after the lockdown is lifted, and pandemic is under control.

I cant speak highly enough of this restaurant! The sushi here is the best Ive had!!! The rolls were massive, and the filling was genuine fish and crab, not the imitation stuff you see at most places. The complexity of flavors was astounding! If your looking for a new sushi spot give this place a try for sure, you wont be sorry!
Not sure about the food, but service is terrible. After 25 minutes I didn’t even get asked about a drink. Then when it came time to take my order the 3 tables sat after me were served first. Walked out.

Sierra is an amazing waitress. She is one of the reasons we are regulars. We love the sashimi and of course the complimentary apples. The traditional dishes are amazing. Came here with my wife and found a baby roach on my rice crawling slowly. Ive never returned. The chef never came out to apologize or anything. He just looked at us like he didnt care as we walked out. I still have the video of the episode.

So much food for lunch you can easily share the special or bring leftovers home. The chefs peppers and apple with peanut butter for dessert are such a treat. I love the udon and my fish-friendly friends love the sushi combos. The staff is so kind and polite and if you go after 12:30, its quiet and peaceful.
Customer service is always great here ! The sushi chef gave my mom and I a better table so my 7 month old baby wouldn’t be in the pathway of the door ! If I could give more stars, I definitely would. Weve been going to Samurai 1 and 2 for about 5 years and its to a point where weve become sushi snobs. We purposely remind ourselves to not try sushi anywhere else when were out of town because it ALWAYS disappoints because of the standard set by Samurai. I would do the weekly deal every week if it were possible. My favorite is simple, the Philadelphia Roll. Per-fect. Amazing. Thanks for being in the desert.
Great restaurant. Unlike the first Samurai Sushi, I was not rushed. I felt that I could relax, and enjoy my meals. The meals themselves, of course, were delicious. I would definitely come back to this establishment!

Our favorite place for sushi in the High Desert. We love Samurai Sushi One on 7th Street just as much.I always have to order the Superman burrito, and of course we top our meal off with an oyster and quail egg shooter.The fish is so fresh and the sushi chef always throws in a couple of pieces on top of what you have ordered. The complementary appetizer and dessert make this just another reason to try Samurai.
Portions have gotten slightly smaller since first coming to this establishment but service and quality stay the same if not improve. My personal favorite place to go for a nice meal with friends or simply good sushi at a good price.
My husband and I came here for a Valentines dinner and the food was delicious. The Miso soup was fresh, and our rolls were too. They serve complimentary salad and dessert. We were happy with everything... Besides the price lol jk :)

We were pleasantly surprised to find a little gem in an old Victorville shopping center. The restaurant gives you a hip, Japanese tavern sort of feel, and the service is phenomenal! The sushi chefs sent appetizers, rolls, and dessert over to our table. Bonus for it being a healthy dessert! We love our other Sushi restaurants but this really might take the cake, enough for us to make the switch from here on out.Only one gripe, seaweed salad is one of our familys favorites, and although Samurais was good, it wasnt great. It had more traditional greens (lettuce, iceberg, etc.) than actual seaweed. Other than that, the rest of the food was delicious, fresh, and addicting!
As a vegan/vegetarian for health issues. I felt it very disrespectful for the chefs to joke about my orders amongst themselves and giving me smug looks. So I took my business back to Yoshi Shushi where the chefs gladly make what I order with a smile on their faces. Thats quality business Not this place.
Its a small space, but the sushi is amazing. The service is great and they also give you dessert. Its cut up apples with chocolate sauce, whip cream, and sprinkles. Its a very lovely place.

It was an okay sushi place while it lasted, but I recently got a cold sexy night thats supposed to be warm(unless they gave us the wrong roll and called it that) And a poorly sliced baked Garfield didnt help at all, pretty frustrating and unsatisfying having to try and pick at all the individual rice pieces. Also asked for side sauce, and given no side sauce. Understandable everyone makes mistakes, however when I called back and wanted to replace the roll they would, as a loyal customer I expected something for my two drives there since I was in a rush. Nope just replacement of what I should have gotten the first time around. Dont bother ever taking out cause they will not remember your order at all. The service is prompt and the food is good even if you get it to go. I ordered the kitsune udon and its excellent, a little kick with a tasty broth and noodles that are the exact right amount of chewy for me. My girlfriend got gyoza and tempura and she enjoyed it.
My boyfriends favorite spot when were in the desert. Its small and cozy. Reasonably priced. Excellent service and food. Clean and very enjoyable to visit.

Some of the best Japanese food Ive ever had. Their kitsune udon is very flavorful, their salmon steak is huge and probably the best cooked fish Ive ever had. Their inari sushi is a great price for big pieces with great flavor. A good blend of some very traditional dishes and more American ones.

Omg hands down biggest cuts of fish Ive ever had at a sushi restaurant. They were so delicious and beautiful. Normally I order an order of yellowtail, and order of tuna and a Philly roll. I couldnt even finish my Philly roll after the sushi.

Rating 4 stars due to lack of AYCE (ALL YOU CAN EAT), their lunch specials however should suffice for anyone unless youre really in the mood for AYCE sushi. Nonetheless very quant place, nice location, and very intimate setting.

I do not appreciate when restaurant rush me to leave the table because they’re all busy, they start taking my food away before I finished it, I got the check and the dessert the same time definitely sign asking us to leave. We love going there but this happens again we won’t be going back there any more.

Took soooo long to get my rolls and then when I said I needed to order three rolls to go, I was told it would take an hour. When I arrived there was a total of 3 familys. The rolls fell apart as soon as I picked it up, I needed a fork. Just wasnt a good experience.

The California rolls fall apart when you picked it up. The tempura looked weird. The service was good but i feel the one in Victorville is better.

I think my experience was different than their norm...i see they r very highly rated...but I had mis communication issues with the server.....which led to either items I didnt order come to the table or the wrong version of what I ordered.....i ordered a hand roll and I received Cali roll....i ordered unagi and received unari.....i quit sending the mistakes back got my check and left.....what I did get was good just not what I ordered.
Been here since 3:40pm 2 other parties came in after us (4:00pm) and they were still served before us. We’re still waiting as we speak. Never again.!

Im used to going to places that offer a choice of either all you can eat or A la carte, but this place doesnt need that. Some prices are a little bit on the high side but once you taste the sushi youll understand why. The service was also good. Overall a great experience which means Ill be back soon try some other things.

2022-04-26 15:02:23Me and a friend went on a Friday night we got lucky and where sat right away but people coming in had 45 minute wait times. At first looking at the menu we thought the prices where way too high. After ordering the quality of food matched the pricing. The food was not only delicious, fresh, but also beautiful. The portions are nicely sized and the fish wasnt scarce! My only complaint was the service. I dont know if the wait staff was overwhelmed but they didnt really check on us and they looked miserable. They where nice when talking to us but for the prices I was hoping for better service. Food was a 5 service a 3.

Ive got to say, this place rivals some of the best sushi restaurants in LA! The fish is fresh, the entrees are delicious, and the service! Wow! Very attentive, kind and calm. I now honestly believe others when they say that this sushi place is the best in the high desert! A definite must-visit. You wont be disappointed.

Our sushi was delicious- I ordered the yellow tail lovers combo which included miso soup and a salad. The service wasn’t the best - but we did receive complimentary salad and a apple with peanut butter dessert which was nice of them.

Complimentary appetizer and desert from the chefs. Best experience for 1st time customers. Highly recommend it.
