Since moving to the HD, this place has been our go-to for sushi. We’re actually skeptical to try anything else. The crab-baked mussels are a must have! Be sure to score on the weekly deals, you won’t be disappointed!

Always the best in the desert.Ive been to fancier places sure. But Ive never left this little hole in the wall feeling unsatisfied. Fish is always fresh and flavorful and the portions are generous.And fear not those of you that dont eat raw fish. Theres plenty of rolls, including a veggie roll, and noodle dishes too.

I usually enjoy Samurai Sushi, but the service and food I received yesterday afternoon at lunch was deplorable. There was something fuzzing in our roll and the miso soup took 1/2 hour to get to me with 1 piece of seaweed and 3 tofu blocks. The roll wasnt even covered with enough seaweed and we ordered the crunch roll to find burnt sesame seeds for the crunch. I have never had such a bad lunch. Im hoping the owners are on vacation. They did recognize the poor quality of service and food and I was compd what we did eat. I was not going to try the third roll that just made it to our table an hour later.

The place has a nice mood to it, and its pretty fancy on the inside despite how it looks on the outside. Service is good and fast, as they serve the order in sequence with what gets ready gets served. I had a California Roll (6 pieces) $6.5, a Salmon Crunch (6 pieces) $15, Shrimp sushi (2 pieces) $6, and Eel sushi (2 pieces) $9. They all tasted great, specially the Salmon crunch although its got too much garlic for my taste, but the good thing is its on top of the pieces so you can scrape them off. The peices are also relatively bigger than usual.

Solid sushi place. I enjoyed the variety of offerings and was happy with the 4 rolls we had. Food was a little slow to be delivered and I would have loved more frequent tea refill, but it was busy and its understandable. If that kind of thing bothers you, avoid busy times. I appreciated the ambiance as well. Reminded me of the first few sushi places I went when I was dating my now wife.

Well established place in the desert, our meal was good, portions are generous, just kind of disappointed as the shrimp tempura were not deveined, Im not a fan of eating what the shrimp was digesting. I know its unlikely to make me Ill or anything like that, but a small quality control thing like that can make me start to question other practices of a restaurant.

I’ve been coming here for years. This place has really gone down hill in terms of service and quality of food. I won’t be returning.I ordered a Korean bowl with miso soup. The Korean bowl was filled with cucumbers even though the menu doesn’t mention cucumbers as an ingredient (I hate cucumbers and the flavor they leave on food). No problem. I just removed them. When it was time for the check I noticed I was charged for the miso soup but they never brought it out to the table. I asked about it and they brought it but it was so salty it was inedible.

I love this place! I do not usually eat out but its one of my favorite the staff is very nice and always welcome you in at the door. My favorite dish is the beef curry. Its a must try if you are a curry lover.Please go in to see the full menu. Because of the current pandemic it is only available for pickup and Carry out. Very delicious!🍣🍡🍘🍱🍙😁

Speechless. That’s how I felt after leaving this place. At first I was a lil iffy because Of the area. But then read all the awesome reviews on this place and I thought “ok let’s do it”. The inside lighting of this place is very romantic. I mean it’s great for couples and families to sit down and have an intimate dinner and converse. Put your phones away and catch up. The staff here is SUPER friendly, they consistently come to your table to check up on you, they don’t seem annoyed if you need something, they always smile. The waitresses and the atmosphere made me feel welcomed and I can’t wait to go back again. Sushi is amazing, you go to a different place and you don’t know what to expect but i wanna say everything we had was delicious.see you soon Samurai Sushi.

Just moved to the area and decided to stop in- it was amazing! Great cozy ambiance. They have a few special rolls on sale each weekday. I had the Ninja roll and it was delicious. Girls do not work well under pressure. Couldnt remember simple request. One waitress had white gunk on the corner of her mouth whilst taking our order. (SUPER GROSS) Then when the Bill came she didnt split it as requested, so i just went ahead to handle it and she comes back to apologize and tells me to just split the money amongst ourselves as if Im looking to this barely legal girl for financial advice. The apologies were more than enough, coming to tell me how to use my money is crossing the line and is now insulting. I didnt ask for advice, I asked for my bill to be split. Super annoying and slow service. I only stayed for my niece.When i finally got my food, it was good.

Overall a nice experience here is the usual, its a little small and a little cramped but the food makes sure you dont notice - and honestly most of the time this would bother me, but somehow this place makes it a suitable environment for a good meal. My only problem is the wait time, it does take about 20-30 minutes to receive your order after being seated but to be expected on a full house.

I have been here several times. The meals, that I would order, were quite delicious. There was ample of space to sit down, and enjoy a meal. The place looked quite clean. The ambiance inside was quite welcoming. Nevertheless, the prices though, were on the expensive side. Still, those prices were quite worth it. Of course, I have been here before the pandemic. The last time, I have visited this establishment, was in 2018. Still, after this pandemic is over, I will definitely visit this establishment again. The meals are worth every penny.

Amazing! The moment you walk in through the doors you seem to be transported out of the high desert. The vibe you get from this gem is unique. I used to love this place! As of February 2020 the prices have been raised to an unacceptable amount. I used to pay 20 for a meal for 2. Now the same meal is 32.00???? Love this place! Whenever I come to visit my parents, I make a point to come here. Before Covid, dining in was a great experience. Service was great and food amazing! We did takeout yesterday and quality was still great. Portions are hefty (rolls and nigiri are bigger than most places). I am coming from NYC, so I am used to spending $$ on good sushi, so I’m thankful for yummy sushi at a good price.

It was my first time there and the staff were very friendly. The atmosphere was comfortable and somewhat cozy. I was not sure how to exactly order and the younger girl serving me and my friend was very helpful. She explained what some of the food on the menu was and even made some suggestions. The place is kind of small so if you have large parties you may have to wait if its busy. Overall, its a hidden gem to me in a weird part of victorville. I hope they can find a bigger and better location, I say they deserve it.

Ive been here many times for a 2 years and today I had my very first bad experience. Please dont ask them to impress you with a plate of want to try something new. The chef lacks creation and imagination. I was with my family and my church pastor eating and I asked the waitress to impress me with 2 rolls and the chef made a picoso roll with is one of their worst rolls. When I saw that and I said I didnt like it, the chef came out of the kitchen and said You cant ask for chefs choice and then say you dont like it I completely agreed. Poor guy. He has no talent, no creativity and no manners. Ive got what I asked for and more. I was impressed with his bad attitude and hes poor sense of criticism. I feel sorry for him. My wife and I gave this place a shot. When we got to the small shopping center it was located in we were considering not going in. It seemed sketchy. So my wife stayed inside the car and I went to have a peak. After giving it a look-see, I motioned her in and had one of the most pleasant restaurant experiences after taking our seats. Beautiful and simple inside. Fantastic sushi. A very attentive, happy and motivated staff. Also they have these pictures all over their walls which we loved and soon will be adding our own picture. Out of all the Japanese restaurants in Victorville, Samurai Sushi is the finest. Their lobby is unique and rather interesting, considering that it feels quite welcoming. Food there is fresh (seriously) and deliscious, each plate served in generous portions. I love this place, its my hidden gem of a sorts, I ask in favor to stop by and enjoy the authenticity.

Sushi are fresh and delicious. Especially, the spicy tuna. I also like the layout and design of the restaurant it gives you the feeling of a true East Asian vibe. It has a bar as well if you want to quickly take a seat. The place is small, compact and clean. The waiters are young women and beautiful and friendly. Also, the master sushi chef has a samurai holstered in his waist, be in your best behavior when you are in here because the master chef won’t hesitate to use it against you.

For the most part, I was satisfied with the food; however, I may have caught their wait staff on a bad night. Initially, my wife ordered hot tea; however, her tea was lukewarm. The staff did replace it after we brought it to their attention.I personally ordered an appetizer which they forgot to bring. After we brought it to their attention, an apology was not give but an excuse that the cook was backed up on orders. We cancelled the appetizer order.In all, the experience was not very pleasurable but I do hope this just was a one time isolated incident.

Was a bad experience yesterday, everything did not taste fresh, asked for fried sushi and it was just lightly battered in old or cheap oil, the bottom flour part wasnt cooked fully and they should be more considerate like other suishi places for fried foods because some people are pregnant and cant afford to eat raw fish thats why they ask for it fried...that means cook all of it. Couldnt even eat heart attack because salmon was raw inside and didnt smell good. Calamari was the only thing fully fried and even then the oil tasted old and bad, over all a bad experience, It was as gehto as the area it was in.

The atmosphere is inviting, casual and cozy, and the Apple soju is amazing! To my VegLife people. This establishment is not worth your time. We went there because we remember there being a lot of options for vegetarians. It turns out many of those options seemed vegetarian but actually werent when we asked the waitresses. They still have the veggie roll for $4 +tax. And its good. But thats about it for the Vegan community. So to recap great place for non-vegans, but no bueno for vegans/vegetarians. I hope this helps.

I have been travelling to Victorville on business recently, and I have grown weary of the burger-chain fast food that seems to be so prevalent near my hotel. On the recommendation of a co-worker, I decided to visit Samurai Sushi. First off, do not let the exterior facade fool you! Inside you will find cozy accomodations and the nicest wait staff you would ever meet. They have so many cool pictures of guests posted all around the decor; it felt like a truly special place to be. The food we shared, Hawaiian-sushi roll, tempura, and curry was fresh and delicious tasting. The chef was especially attentive and generous to us. We were pleasantly surprised to find a little gem in an old Victorville shopping center. The restaurant gives you a hip, Japanese tavern sort of feel, and the service is phenomenal! The sushi chefs sent appetizers, rolls, and dessert over to our table. Bonus for it being a healthy dessert! We love our other Sushi restaurants but this really might take the cake, enough for us to make the switch from here on out.Only one gripe, seaweed salad is one of our familys favorites, and although Samurais was good, it wasnt great. For some reason Tripadvisor would not allow me to add Samurai Sushi 2, so I went ahead and used this one in Victorville, but I have never been to this one which I have been told is not that great.........so.......... Samurai Sushi 2 on Main Street in Hesperia is very good!! A small place with friendly service and a nice selection of ice sake, which I really like. The sushi is fresh and they have a nice selection...also they offer a lot of rolls. They also have warm dishes you can order, my favorite is the curry udon dish, you can get is vegan or with chicken, pork or beef...maybe shrimp too (dont remember) This place is worth a visit, we have been three times so far and plan on going back.

We were coming back from Barstow on the I15 and around Victorville we needed to stop for dinner when I discovered Samurai Sushi. It made me nervous to have a sushi dinner in Victorville, but we were pleasantly surprised at how great this restaurant is! I lived in Japan many years ago and the food at this restaurant reminded me of authentic Japanese food. Everything was excellent and the prices were very reasonable.
