It was okay, owner was there visiting with us. We got there early. We ordered one roll took over 30 minutes to get. We were the only one in there. A walk in order got theres prior to ours.Sushi was just okay.

2nd time here and I love it even more! We are passing through again and stopping by Samurai Sushi & Roll is the best decision all day. Great atmosphere and great food, so fresh and yummy. Thanks Pete you rock it!

This place is ridiculously expensive! $18.99 for one sushi roll. Looks like all his plates start from $18 and up. The sketchy part is that all his menus have the prices scratched out so make sure you ask for the price first! That way he wont change the price in the last minute. I ordered their tokyo sushi and it was terrible.The fish here is not fresh nor ther miso soup. Im Sure this business is on its last limb.

Sorry but Ive had better. I had a California roll with miso soup. Roll had a bit too much rice than I am accustomed to. I wont slam this establishment but I didnt feel the authenticity. I know everyone is struggling to survive so I hope the best for them. If youre nearby give them a try. Prices were more than fair. Fortunately everyone has their own opinion and this one is mine.

I just had the best salmon skin salad in my life and I’m 68. The owners are hardworking and very friendly. I love seaweed salad it’s the perfect crunch and they are very generous in all their food. Highly recommend.

Happily surprised. This is local family owned and operated and doing everything they can to provide quality food.We ordered a sashimi platter, some nigiri and a couple of rolls. The fish portions were the largest Ive ever had! Compared to others I say they are at least twice the size in fish slices. The rolls were nearly the length of my forearm. 👍🏽 😋👍🏽They also get a short of approval as they were open, where the two other local sushi restaurants were closed between lunch and dinner.Lastly... Please be patientYoull see the staff is small and times can take longer than expected, but Im so happy that they are open for business!

This is a home town sushi bar. The nicest couple own and run this restaurant. The food is always good and I would come here just to see the owners. Don’t underestimate the food; it is very good. Quick service and very good prices. We love it here.

Not the worst sushi Ive ever had but its definitely not good. It didnt taste fresh and the rolls were poorly made. The worst part for us, however, was how the owner was talking about his wife. He called her several names for making a simple mistake with our order. It really bothered my husband and I that the owner would talk about his wife like that and in front of customers no less. We wont be coming back.

From the prices, the freshness of the food, the service, they are all over the top, A+!!I have been coming here since they first opened and NEVER once had any problems!!Everyone I have referred to here have had praises!!Over the years they have become very dear friends of mine but, that aside, this is the very best Sushi place in town!!Enjoy, and I can promise that you will return for more!!!

I am used to very good sushi in LA. This wasnt. They seemed to have only rolls. Service was very fast once you placed an order. Almost too fast, made you wonder if it was premade. The rolls were loose and not well rolled. Very local dive feeling. Quite a few To Go orders. Obviously a favorite of locals. Not too bad but definitely not up to par.

Terrible. Don’t go here. All roles were poorly made and look and taste the same. They don’t wear masks. We ended up inside for lunch and as a courtesy ate there but the family was beyond disappointed. Also the owner kept talking about Covid related deaths while we were trying to eat.

Was turnned on to this place by a friend. Decided to check it out. Arrived at 1pm. There was other customers there enjoying there plates. Soft music plays in the back ground. The light gives off a nice warm feeling. They have about 8 tables and 2 what could be called a booth but with benches. I came for lunch, owner very friendly, chatted with me a bit, while my food was being prepared. The food was amazing, the fish had no odor, the thinkness of the fish on my sushi is good and the vegetables very fresh. This is a small, husband and wife operation, I didnt feel cramped with lots of room. By the looks of it they could handle a large party. This is a must try. Ill definitely return.

I have been coming to this place for three years now and the food was great until recently. I dont know what happened? Items are substituted in the meals completely changing the flavor, my orders are wrong. Today I ordered Beef teriyaki and I got beef with onions, no teriyaki. A sweet sauce to go with it instead and my california rolls were missing. I was not charged for them this time. Its a shame, I really liked this place, the customer service is excellent. They make you feel like you are eating your meal at home. Sadly, I will not be returning. I really hope that they get thing straight so they do not loose other customers.

Absolutely love the sushi here. Great prices, well worth what you get. My favorite is the Dragon roll, and crunch roll. The people who work here are very friendly and make you feel so welcome. I’m never going anywhere else in town for sushi again.

This place got a lot of good reviews, but it just didnt work for us. Theyve done a nice job of decorating, but the rock/hip hop/rap music made us feel like we were sitting in a bar doing shots instead of in a restaurant eating sushi. That might be a plus for some, but it was a mood killer for us. The rolls were generous, but they were so loosely rolled that every piece fell apart the instant we picked it up. The prices are comparable with other sushi restaurants in the area; no great deals here. The service was neither good nor bad; the food was neither good nor bad; so I am giving them three stars. If you like to eat sloppy sushi to the beat of rock/hip hop/rap music, then youll love this place. We didnt.

Went there the first time on a sunday after the gym. Barely open at at 11 am I was greeted by the owner and a sushi chef. Amazing service, SPECTACULAR SUSHI! The rice is always perfect and the place is ALWAYS clean! I eat here at least once a week and have not ever been anything but completely satisfied. The menu is packed with standards, but yields some phenomenal specialties. Creative on the culinary level, and visually vibrant. Sushi excellence has a home...it is at SAMURAI!

From the second my family walked in, the restaurant did not make us feel welcomed at all. Felt like we were inconveniencing the waitress. Waited more than 30 min for my food. Waitress definitely seemed like shed rather be some where else. Never coming back.

I go here to get my sushi fix! They have great deals and the sushi is fresh and very tasty! My favorite spicy roll is the Kiss of Fire!! I highly recommend this restaurant for sushi if you’re in Paso Robles, CA.

This is the first time we have eaten (ordered) at this Restaurant. We ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Dinner. The Chicken was awful. The quality was poor (lots of fat) and the chicken was sooooo salty, we couldnt eat it. Bummer, we were really looking forward to a good meal, close to home:(
