My new favorite spot! The owners are absolutely incredibly kind, welcoming and wonderful to talk to. I’ve never had Vietnamese coffee before but now I’m hooked. The perfect beverage for a hot day! In addition to the best customer service, they have a plentiful menu of freshly made foods and prepackaged snacks. I absolutely adore the owners and give this place 5/5!

Some restaurants you just want them to succeed, this is one of them. The guy had just such a happy friendly demeanor and the food was great. We came a little early and we were the only people, but shortly after many people started showing up. Sandwiches were delicious, well balanced, not too heavy (I like heavy sandwiches as well). The noodles were pretty good, but the main is the sandwich. I prefer the french roll over the croissant, but both were good. He randomly hooked us up with some free snacks. Will definitely go again and recommend to my friends. I wish him and his family success and happiness. This restaurant, the food, and the guy just made my day and made me smile.

No photos to share because the lunch was deliciously devoured. My boyfriend and I made a trip to Home Depot not far. We were both starving and he told me he wanted something good to eat. Seeing another comment that this place deserved 6 stars, well the intrigue got me. The service was great when we walked in. The man behind the counter could tell it was our first time and suggested the most popular items. We both got the house special and the house jasmine tea we received was very refreshing.With just the first bite it was packed with all the flavor and it stayed that way until the very last bite!Thanks for making our day and taking care of our hunger.

Super friendly owner who gave me extra chips and tea when all I ordered was a couple of sandwiches and a cup of coffee. The sandwiches were decent but the Vietnamese coffee was exceptionally good. Albeit that the store itself is pretty small but it’s super convenient if you were to stop by and grab a bite before heading out for a road trip. Would definitely recommend!

Where’s the meat? The good: the service. Yes, he’s very nice and you get a free tea but that doesn’t make up for the few grams of meat they put in these sandwiches.The bad: hardly any meat. I ordered the #1 with extra meat and it still had less than half the amount of meat you’d get anywhere. We also got the grilled pork (#4) and we’ll, see for yourself. Definitely not worth it.

Let me start off by saying I really wanted to like this place and support local mom and pop business, unfortunately, their food had let me down too many times.The good:The friendly service from both the husband and wife were great and they are really friendly people that offer free iced tea and provide an excellent experience. Sad to say, thats pretty much it.The bad:Ive seen other bad reviews about the lack of actual meat in their sandwiches but thought it might have been a one off or just a picky customer, but nope, its really true. I really have this place a chance and have been here multiple times and every time I get at least one underwhelming sandwich and even a missing sandwich on a large order to go. Lastly, their pricing is higher than vietnamese sandwich shops in Westminister. Soooo ... high pricing and poor quality food is a no go for me. Im probably not coming back here again.Last words:There isnt enough free iced tea that can make up for this.

My gf asked me to pick up some food while I was in the area and she sent me here. I met Vu (VuDu!) and he helped me out. He was kind, delivered exceptional service, and I enjoyed my brief conversation with him. He also gave me a complimentary treat to take home to the family! I came here today for lunch and was very impressed and extremely satisfied! The owner who served me right away suggested which sandwiches I should consider trying. Since it was getting warm outside he gave me a cold tea, on the house as well as a little dessert. Not only that, he walked my food out to my car so I could eat. The sandwich was delicious and it was perhaps the best Vietnamese coffee I have ever had (and Ive been to Vietnam). I highly recommend this place if youre in the area!!!

My wife and I got two house specials, iced coffee, and iced green milk tea. Sandwiches were about $7.50 each. We both like the sandwiches. They were light and flavourful. I dont eat cilantro but for some reason I was fine with cilantro in it. Iced coffee and green milk tea were TOO sweet. We both added water to dilute and then they were good.

They are so incredibly kind here! I came in a little last minute with a large-ish sandwich order and Vu didn’t bat an eye. He was very kind, super helpful explaining their options and ranking their choices in popularity. He sat me down with a little snack and some iced tea while I waited for my order. He even packaged it up and took it out to my car for me!! I drove here from Long Beach in rush hour to get here. The service was excellent.. the sandwiches were soooo delicious, it was worth every minute on the road! I’ll be back.

Great Vietnamese-Style sandwiches. I teach across the street at Cypress College and wanted something different so I tried Sandwich House. Very pleasantly pleased. Love the bread - crispy-flaky crust, soft inside. In fact, the sandwich was so big I couldn’t finish it. And the owners are just so nice…they bring the food out to your car (no place to sit inside - small store) and he noticed I was eating in my car so he brought me an iced tea. Great service and food. (A few tables and chairs outside would be a great addition, but I guess most people take it to go.) I’ll be back!

This is going to be a strange way to describe a Vietnamese banhmi shop, but this is not like any other banh mi shop (any that Ive been to at least). Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by shop owners Vu and his sister Anne, and the other smiley gentleman who made my sandwich in the kitchen. While Vu was kindly going over the menu with me, I was overcome with a sense of peacefulness.. maybe it was the 4pm sun coming through the windows, the old school purple barstools and purple orchids on every table, or even his white hair which made you feel like you were talking to a wise sage. Anyway, I was already having a good experience just ordering my house special sandwich (#1) when it gets even better! His sister comes out from the back and greets me with a bowl of buttery sugary toast and an iced jasmine tea saying she was so happy that I came and wishing me a happy Vietnamese new year and everything. And even when my sandwich came out, the owner handed it to me with both hands and a small head bow, and let me tell you, if youve never felt this level of kindness and respect from a food joint, you need to come experience this for yourself. And since I wasnt expecting so many goodies, I had so many things to carry, so without hesitation, Anne picked everything up, walked me to my car and opened my door for me! I left feeling so taken care of hahah. And later I found two extra cookies in my bag. Anyway, the sandwich was awesome and I like that you can use your debit card here. I know this review was longer than usual, but I had to share my awesome experience. Much gratitude to Sandwich House, I will definitely be coming back soon.

Found this at a corner of a mini-plaza! Theyre not accepting seating right now due to COVID-19 safety, but the tables inside has been replaced with Asian snacks that you can purchase. The clerk inside was super nice; my meal came with mini oranges! If you like veggies in your sandwhich, I highly suggest this place; they were fresh and blended well with the sandwhich.

This place is so good I almost dont want to write a good review so more people dont go here.The old gentlemens customer service is unparalleled. He is so kind and friendly and the food is amazing. A few things youshould know about this place:- The inside is decorated so nicely with several plants. There are also many snacks you can by inside with your order.- You will have to wait to get your food (due to popularity), so the owner prefers if you call in and make your order rather than showing up. Our wait (for two sandwiches) was 15-20 mins.- The food is an phenomenal as the service. The sandwiches are around $6-$7 but taste significantly better than any other banh mis I have had.- If you pay by card, there is no option to leave a tip. So try to bring cash with you because this place and its owner definitely deserve a solid tip!Overall, I highly recommend Sandwich House. Their prices, service, and quality of food are all 10/10!

The Sandwich House across from Cypress College has, hands down, the best Vietnamese sandwiches and coffee. What makes it truly special is the man behind the counter. He is warm, kind, and loves his patrons. Now during our isolation, since we place our order either over the phone or at the counter then wait outside, he adds an dose of extra kindness, with free cinnamon crisps or cookies. For favorite customers it might be free iced tea as well. The person who makes the sandwiches is generous with the ingredients, always served on the freshest of baguette or croissant. The space itself is very quaint, with lots of fresh fruits on display under the counter and letters of love taped to the wall. Service was outstanding. We ordered 3 sandwiches which was going to take a little time to make, so the person who took our order invited us to sit down and offered us these bread-dessert things and iced green tea (in to go cups) with a refill in a carafe. For only spending $20, they very much went out of their way to make us happy. It was the best treatment Ive ever had at a sandwich shop. Most importantly the sandwiches are delicious! I have been coming to this place since it practically opened and I figured I should finally write a review on it! The owner is so wonderful and energetic and she will make a point to remember you which makes coming here so much more amazing! There is no wrong choice in food because everything is amazing. It is SUPER RARE to come across a place where out of the blue the worker unexpectedly offers you a free to go cup of cold ice tea while you are waiting for your food order to be prepared. My new favorite go-to spot for Banh Mi in OC. Yes you heard that right! Perfect crisp to fluff ratio in the bread that doesnt destroy the roof of your mouth (if you know, you know) and soaks the pâté and mayo nicely. Proper amount of fillings that isnt overwhelmingly full like other spots. Also adore the Viet uncle who works here/owns the place. He was so fun and kind!

Very sweet & hospitable even with his small shop!By his recommendation got the chinese sausage banh mi. Wow, definitely one of the best I’ve had! This is a place hidden behind plain site across the street from Cypress College. Its a quaint, unassuming little place but it provides wonderful serenity and peace about it. The owners are super wonderful & friendly!!! And of course, the food are very yummy and excellent with a homestyle flare to it. I had the chicken banhmi sandwich and it was bomb! They even gave complimentary iced tea & water while I waited for my order, then, gave my son cookies & mini lollipops when we left. This place is very much like Lees Sandwiches but provides that feeling like you are eating at grandmas house. The prices are comparable, if not cheaper, than other sandwich places. Mr. Vu makes an incredible banh mi, but more importantly he is a man with exceptional character and kindness. We were stationed in SoCal for three years, and the every time we went in, he welcomed me, my family, and my friends (military) with such warmth and gratitude, we felt like he was family. Always one to place others first, he would constantly send us home with extra pastries and small desserts. Ahn and Vu have always been my favorite place for bahn mi or croissant sandwiches. I’ve been a regular for several years now and they never fail me. I usually go for the #4 or the #19 (without onions). The beef stew is also excellent on a chilly day, available w/baguette or vermicelli noodles!They remember my face/name, my order, what I’ve been up to lately, etc. Recently due to covid they haven’t been getting as much business from the bulk of their customers at Cypress College across the street. Small businesses are always the most vulnerable in times such as these.Free sugared toast and jasmine iced tea with every order, and you can call ahead for pick-up to streamline the whole process. We come here for the bahn mi. Best anywhere. Bread is impossibly fresh as are the veggies. Iced tea is included and the prices are the most reasonable anywhere. What a nice little sandwich shop with the best service. I came here with my friend who brought her two little kids, and while my friend was waiting for me to come, the owner brought out some tea for her. When we arrived, she helped put two tables together so the four of us could eat together. Service was spectacular, sandwiches were less than $5, and the food was good. I got the bbq chicken on white cuz they had ran out of wheat. The sandwich was good if it was just a veggi sandwich instead of chicken. Thats why Im giving it a 4 star because there wasnt really any chicken in it just a very few small pieces. My friend got the same and only very small pieces of chicken. I couldnt taste the chicken with the amount of sauce and veggies..which they were good. Unfortunately it felt like I was eating a veggi sub instead of a chicken sub. A little disappointing.
