If you sign up for their rewards you will get some really good deals texted to you. Yesterday (9/15/23) the deal was spend $30 get a free bowl. They have happy hour from 3:30 until 6:30pm. BOGO 50% bowls and $6.00 Cali rolls. I got so much food for $30, my husband and I had leftovers! All the food was fresh and tasty!

Teriyaki chicken + California roll combo plate / teriyaki chicken, 6pc California roll, scoop of rice, sumi salad, oriental salad - 5 🌟!A solid lunch place with healthy meals, quick service, friendly staff and a nice big dining room.A few years ago I lived in the area and SanSai was a go-to lunch spot often. I really enjoy the side salads they provide with their always well priced lunch combos. The food isnt fancy but it is filling, tasty, and on the healthier side. They have a large menu with lots of options and there are a few locations in LA. They are worth checking out if youre in the area and want to grab a nice Japanese fast casual meal.

Not. Good. Probably the worst sushi Ive ever come across. Fishy flavor, barely any fish inside the rolls, and overall just bland. If you dont like flavorful food this place is perfect for you. Ordered delivery through postmates and when the food arrived everything was smashed and thrown together and it wasnt the drivers fault, it was how the restaurant prepared it. Everything was just falling apart. Also recieved no sauce to help get this dry food down. The spicy tuna on the rice cakes were also supposed to come raw but due to poor preparation the fish was fully cooked by the time I recieved it and there was maybe a tablespoon worth of fish spread across 4 rice cakes. The food is cheap but at what cost... not worth it in my opinion.

This place is going downhill quick. Does not have any Asian appeal except for the name. Will not be going there again.

Oh no. This was the worst food I have had in my life. The woman at the counter was VERY nice and polite. She did not offer much help with them menu though (when asked what is in the dumpling soup, her answer was dumplings and soup) The place was clean but the food horrendous. I have had MREs that are better. My hunny ordered the dumpling soup. Lol, it was laughable. A bowl of brown liquid with 5 pieces of uncooked mushroom and about 7 dumplings. The dumplings tasted like soggy balls of mush. The broth bland and the mushrooms like they put them in hoping the broth would cook them. I had the Curry chicken. I think they just opened a can of gravy and poured it over yesterdays chicken. This is not a place I recommend. They also used a microwave to heat the food. I usually take my leftovers Togo with me. Today, I left it all behind and didnt even finish it. There is a donut shop next door. I went there to finish my meal. Lol It was delicious, helped me wash away the yuck and the woman behind the counter hilarious.

Honestly, I have to begin with the statement that Ive been in the food industry for over 7 years, and I understand all aspects of restaurant culture. With that being said, this has to be one of the worst restaurants that I have ever had the misfortune of eating at. At no other time in my entire life have I experienced food that was so sad, neglected, not known about, or been so disappointed at it being prepared. When I asked about the dumpling soup, I was told it was dumplings and soup. When I saw it get prepared, I saw raw mushrooms being tossed into a bowl of warmed broth, that was then topped with store bought dumplings and then microwaved to lazy perfection. The soup tasted the like miso soup powder that had been warmed from yesterday. The dumplings had a very frozen fresh quality to them. They had no substance to them. The entire experience was not deserving of the title Japanese food. I have been to Japan, and they take pride in their quality and work ethic. This place is a very far cry from the ideals of its claimed original home.

This Sherman oaks location is convenient and spacious nice staff. My complaint is simple, the food is inconsistent. I usually order the chicken & California roll plate. The chicken is usually undercooked or old because it has a weird flavor while the rolls are cut way smaller than their other locations. Their mandarin salad looks soggy and old, but it still tasted alright. Twice now Ive gotten weird tasting chicken from here and I dont think Ill be ordering here again. We ate here 4 times and the quality has only declined. Their Santa Monica location is miles ahead when it comes to consistent quality. The only thing Id recommend here is their stake meat it was actually really tasty and my son loved it too.
