The Mexican restaurant is decent overall: the food is not too bad, and the restaurant itself is not too bad either. However, one major drawback is that there is no AC, making it quite uncomfortable on hot days. Due to this, I would hesitate to recommend eating here during warmer weather.

Food was very good, the cook Gerald ( I think thats his name) lolHe has very good hands for the kitchen. My tacos were awesome and had amazing flavor! The new lady they got is very nice and very friendly, she has sooo much patience. I went with my fiance and she had already taken a few drinks and was giving the lady a hard time and she was just so nice she still took our order. She was very helpful the whole time we were there.

I went with my kids and some family the other night and we loved it (we go often) The lady that was at the register was so sweet and nice. I think her name is Melissa I believe shes new, she wasnt there a few months back. Anyways I had my kids with me (yes kids can be annoying at times and very difficult to make up their mind when it comes to eating) well she was very patient with them the whole time we were there. The cook didnt seem too happy he rolled his eyes a few times when we were ordering like if he didnt want to cook for us or something (It was the short guy, not the taller skiny guy) I had some tacos and they were very good, salsas and food didnt disappoint. I totally recommend the street tacos they are amazing.

I went in tonight to this taco place I normally go in the morning and let me tell you the night shift way better. Pulled in here for breakfast on our way through from Arizona. Cashier would not give my husband the restroom key until she took my order and I paid, since the restroom is for customers only. We did order and wasted $22 on disgusting food. My eggs and sausage were so greasy and full of gristle I couldn’t eat it. My husband’s huevos ranchero looked good but tasted blah. Dry reheated rice and canned beans. I should’ve packed our breakfast!

Food was really good really love the shredded beef tacos and surf and turf burrito. Service really is bad now though that lady at the front has the worst communication and is so damn rude. Really wish they had the other lady back to be honest service was much better. Liked going much more when they had that short lady and the girl with the braid working it was much cleaner and better service.

Mane! When I say these tacos and quesadillas I had were good!!! I was on business and wanted some Mexican food. Looked it up and they said this was the best and yesssss they are right. Service and food was good. The restaurant could be a little more kept up. Other than that the food was the Best. I will definitely eat at Santiagos again!

This place is GREAT!!! You can throw a rock and hit a taco shop anywhere in California but…this is the place you wanna hit. I go in the evening because the service is the best. Staff are friendly, food is authentic, and the Salsa Bar is tippy top!! The night staff are cool enough to go through the menu with you and help you on your decisions cause everything is bomb!! BANNING STRONG. This is a community staple.

I moved to Banning a year and a half ago. I didn’t realize this spot was right next to my house. It’s tucked away a bit…but a Gem!! I knew it was gonna be good just by the salsa bar alone. I go mainly in the evening. The night staff is awesome. I met Melissa (the server) my first time here and I told her I would be back all the time. I only miss one or two days out of the week. The food is fresh. The people are real. Service is great. Hit it when the night shift works!! They take care of ya!! ***** 5stars!!!

Santiago is a place where you will receive delicious food. Their prices are reasonable and you will receive a good amount of food where 2 people can eat off the same dish.My son got a sausage burrito 07/01 @ $7.75 which he enjoyed; nevertheless, I left due to the customer service which the cashier act as I did not exist, was disappointed and left.The 1 star due is to the cashier is racist or just like certain individuals. I have been to Santiago several times because I believe in supporting local businesses.My experience have been awful I walk in Santiago that particular cashier is working. She goes behind the counter and acts like she busy until someone speaks Spanish she smiles and serve them 1st.I will not support this business anymore due too the service I have received over the several times I have been there.As I said Santiago has great food and service if the cashier likes you but for me its a no go because I tried. Sept 20,Just passing through doing a delivery and came upon this and thought it all sounded delicious so I ended up getting Munchy Fries 😋Sept 21,Day 2 was not as great, I went and ordered finely. It wasnt until I was waiting to pay that it turned into 5 min before someone came to the window to tell to me what my total was. I will admit I was very close to honking to see if anyone was going to acknowledge I had pulled forward. Other than other that moment, the food was delicious 😋 I got a wet steak and shrimp chimichanga.

I like stopping by this place after work almost every night. Food is very good and fresh. I was there a few nights ago and the new lady they have working nights is awesome! Definitely will be going back just because of her and will be telling my family and friends its safe to go now lol ( the other girls that used to work the register are rude) but the new lady with glasses is always nice when I go. Always in a positive attitude even when she looks like shes stressed out her mind lolDefinitely recommend this place but after like 4 or 5 haha (well thats the times I go and the nice lady is there)

Got the chicken enchilada plate with beans and rice and it was delicious. The rice was just like homemade and the beans were smooth how I prefer. I think the portion size is small for the price but it does come with a drink. Id like to see the portion size increase and remove the drink from the combo. That way you would get more food and and beverage optional.

I wouldnt recommend this place allthough the food is decent the service is horrible. The ladys in the front are not ever helpful and are always rude. Today i ordered a ceviche tosdada and was told it would be 2 hours because they were busy. When i arrived and asked about my tostada the lady said it wasnt ready with so much attitude i then asked gow much longer and she rolled her eyes and said we havent even started it. Mind you there was one guest in the lobby and the drive thru was empty. This is the 3rd time ive expierenced bad service here you guys should really consider getting new cashiers yiur rude ones are killing your business. Future customers do not waste your time here.

My favorite local taco shop. Most the employees are nice and all the food is good just one major problem. They NEVER make the fries well done no matter how much I ask, half the time theyre barely cooked, like today even after going back in a second time. Hopefully they can work on that. Hi to whom it may concern. The customer service at Santiagos was treble. Considering that they charged us for an extra plate. Although we received the plate the food was stale. We called & requested for a refund or a exchange of food. I was unhappy with the manager Lura. She inquired that we bring back the food. In my experience with customer service you would return the eaten food & would in exchange receive a full plate. She wanted on the other hand to give us back a half burrito for a half eaten burrito for say. So we were terribly unhappy & had little food to eat.

This is by-far the best place for people looking for mexican food such as burritos and tacos! No more Del-Taco or taco Bell for us! Sizzlers would never be better that this place! If the workers remember me I was there for a mothers Day meal today. Bean and cheese burrito with munchies Frys with large Horchata and shrimp quesadilla! Best food Ive eaten this week! By far my favorite fast-food Mexican restaurant in the Banning-Beaunont area!! I deeply appreciate that they stay open late (till 11pm!) The chile relleno was amazing. Everything tasted great. Everything was fairly priced. My only complaint is that for the size of a tortilla the burrito didnt have very much in it so it was a lot of tortilla. But even that is nitpicking because after I tore off half the tortilla it tasted amazing.

I arrived at this place with my boyfriend and upon entry we could already smell a weird smell just from inside this restaurant, then as we were approaching to the register to order all we could see was flies flying around everywhere including inside the kitchen which I should’ve just walked out at that moment but I wanted to give them a chance. As if that wasn’t enough I went to the condiments on the side to get salsa and cucumbers, as I was pulling out the cucumbers with the pliers I seen a disgusting dead fly on them as well as on the counter part where you lay your food to put the condiments . If you like your food to be clean or not to potentially have fly guts in your condiments I suggest just do not come here . First time and last time and the food wasn’t good at all, waste of money . Also this is my first review but I just really could not believe the condition of this place and I just couldn’t let anybody have such a horrible experience as I did .

Food was good. And they have pretty good prices. However, they close at 11pm. I visited at 10pm one night. Theyre drive thru was pretty busy. We quickly got out food, but around 10:30pm the salsa bar was put away without warning and tables were cleaned and chairs were stacked...a family even looked inside at 10:45ish and left since it looked closed. I completely understand that having to do everything inside to cleanup takes time. But maybe you should have a sign saying that the dine-in area closes at 10:30 or earlier than the drive thru.Other than that everyone was extremely professional and courteous. So it wasnt the employees who made me feel uncomfortable.

I hate that i have to put 1 star and which i could rate 0stars. This place is the worst customer service. I order my food and i get home and realize im missing a part of my order and the tacos i ordered have such a tiny portion amount of meat, its basically all torilla no meat. So i drive all the way back and the girl doesnt apologize and i ask do i get a free drink or something for my drive alll the way back from home cuz thier mistake and she says No. And the tacos she doesnt offer to fix it and my only option is to get my money back. Customer service would be to apologize and do a small gesture of considerations of the paying customer unconvince. They need training on how to treat customers and when something is wrong how they should fix it. No retuning again. I was a regular customer but this was enough for me to get my food from someplace else.

The ONLY thing I dont like/agree with is Santiagos raising the price of their tacos from $1 + tax to $1.10 + tax. Im still giving them 5 stars because the food is great, they keep the place clean & Air conditioned, unlike their competitors on the very same street (Ramsey Blvd.), the staff is always nice & professional, they have A great salsa bar compared to other taco joints, you get A good portion size for your money etc. But according to an employee here, the owner raised the price of their tacos because of the states minimum wage raise which ofcourse, long time customers like myself, do not like. I still continue to come here sometime but I dont come here every single Tuesday like I used to just because of that price rising. I have looked & found other great taco joints in near by cities that still sell tacos for just $1 / 99cents & did not raise their price because of the minimum wage raise. If Santiagos wouldve never raised their prices then I wouldve never looked elsewhere & found other dollar taco restaurants. I know people personally who has also stopped coming here period & go else where for 99cent tacos all because Santiagos raised the price. So they have lost quite A few customers to other taco competitors because of their action but overall, I recommend this place over any Mexican joint in the city of Banning.

I come to Santiagos regularly for their 1 lb. California burrito. Hands down the best burrito ever! I switch it up sometimes with carne asada and other times with carnitas. The salsa is great too. For me, its a 25 minute drive away from my house but its worth the drive every time. If you havent tried this place yet you definitely need to.

We have had good food here before but was disappointed in the carne asada burrito. It was on the small side with nothing much on it. I go for there vegan options like the potato tacos and taquitos which are usually very good. The food is not consistent and they seem to struggle. I like the food and hope they can get on track

I bought two orders of Menudo and one was good with meat and the other order was almost all pure broth and apart from the chili they put in it, they didnt even strain it, it was exaggerated with dry chili and I opened the door to explain to them and the very unpleasant lady didnt help.
