Sarku is one of my favorite restaurant chains. I ate there in San Francisco and absolutely loved it, I was so glad to see that it’s in Ontario. It’s about a 35 minute drive for me, but every time I’m in Ontario, make sure to eat there. The chicken is so good, and the proportions are fairly large. The prices are very decent, however, there is an additional fee for chow mein and fried rice that they don’t tell you about. I only noticed it when I paid. The chicken wasn’t much, but the noodles and vegetables was a large portion. Overall, I felt full and didn’t even finish my plate, saved it for later. Really good restaurant!

Ate Chicken/Shrimp combination plate. Ok taste.Be careful about sanitary conditions. Cashiers do not wear plastic gloves. Cashiers handle dirty money and credit cards. Same cashiers handle your plastic utensils and food trays.Saw cashier cough into her hand and then handle money, she then picked up plastic fork and napkin to give customer.SHE DID NOT WASH HER HAND!

I found a Hair in my plate when I was almost finished eating. I think they need to wear hairnets more often which they don’t. Last time I eat there.

Amazing chicken. The staff is very nice. They use different spatulas for raw chicken and cooked chicken. So far no sauce can match its flavor. Its simply AMAZING.

The people who work here are great, the good is amazing, the service is quick and fast, I just wished they expanded so I can visit them more often. I love this place and I will always buy from them they are the best!!!!

The food is nasty go inside the kitchen and it smell like a wet dog the hallway is always dirty they leave boxes of food out on the dirty hallway that smells like dead rats dont eat here 😒

They used a long-grained rice and Teriyaki is so bland! I could have made a better Teriyaki sauce. This is too generic like sauce soy ans corn starch.I WILL REMEMBER NOT TO COME BACK AGAIN!

Reasonably priced mall food. Today I got the California roll ($4.99) and it was on par with grocery store rolls...not bad, but not great. The spring rolls were good and only $1.79 for two! Definitely worth a try, but not raising the bar on Japanese cuisine :)

This cook kept touching his face and mask and then touching cooked food, and he is not even wearing his mask properly, he is going to give someone covid or food sickness. They need to retrain him in correct food handling or replace him. GROSS

I was finally able to drive out to Ontario since all other locations in my area closed down during covid & was very excited to finally have their food after 3 years . Only to be extremely disappointed in their very rude customer service. I kindly asked for extra teriyaki sauce and they said no. I even said I would PAY EXTRA for more sauce & they repeatedly said no no no ! They didn’t even let me finish asking my question & we’re already yelling NO repeatedly . I definitely regret wasting my time & gas money to drive out here & not get to enjoy my food with extra teriyaki sauce the way I like.

I understand all prices are going up.Charging from 4.99 to 6.99 then now 8.89 for chicken teriyaki make sense.But charging $1 for a extra paper cup.How does it make sense.The cup probably dont cost 10c.But now the cranky old lady asking 1.You cant get cup of water anymore.You will have to buy bottlle water for 3.No extra siracha saying there is shortage.But if you pay extra there is no shortage.For bento box fried rice extra 50c.Its like that lady want to charge extra for everything like airplane ticket.Used to be my regular go to place for lunch.But not anymore. You just lost 2 customers business for your greed. Hope more people realise this.

Honestly I am so sad that they close so many of their locations! My wife and I enjoy eating here so much we always get the chicken teriyaki with extra chicken and well done. I drove an hour just to eat at this place. I personally do not like malls but its worth the traffic the bumping into people and honestly if I could have this place every day I would they have never let me down in the years Ive been going so if youre looking for a reasonably priced plate of good food this is the place to go! I hope they reopen all their locations again I used to go to the one in the Santa Anita mall but now I have to drive all the way to the Ontario Mills location which is significantly farther but put that into perspective Im willing to use my gas my car and my time and tolerance in traffic just to get one plate of this food I hope that can tell you something about this place

The chicken, gyoza, rice and vegetables are always delicious. The sushi rolls are small, and look like they were made by a depressed robot offsite. The sushi isnt bad, just disappointing, ok as a side, but I wouldnt order the roll.

As one of the local Sarku restaurants left in both Riverside County and San Diego County, this location always provides the best service. Unfortunately they do not do refills as of Covid-19 disclaimers state. But their food is cooked well with thick teriyaki sauce and freshly steamed veggies and rice. I will always return to this location.

Prices are the cheapest of any at the food court and their preparation is in front of everyone, so its easy to make changes if somethings not going right. Theyre extremely nice there and make ordering really easy.

I went today and got 2 rolls, the guy gave me napkins and when I went to go eat I noticed there was blood on my napkin. Infuriated since I get grossed out easily I went to them saying they gave me a napkin with blood on it and the guy had the audacity to flip it hands back and forth to me and said no nobodys bleeding its not blood. never spending my money here again

They have terrible customer service. The man at the counter was so rude and rushed us through so he could get to the next customer. The food is also terrible. It has absolutely no flavor. The teriyaki sauce tasted watered down, the rice was mushy, and when I ate the meat it felt like I skinned a cow and took a bite out of its side.... I will never go back there.

Very rude cashier. She replied Do not touch the empty bowl when I said thank you. Atleast, the cook was decent enough to explain that people mistakenly touch other peoples bowls which has caused problems in the past.2 stars for the food and the cook. 0 star for the lady behind the register

Bag salad was not fresh, no dressing. Sushi rolls looked awful and no condiments given. Dumpling were cold, no dipping sauce. Food is not presented well. I have never had Japan food presented so awful. A total waste of money. Only could eat the chicken and rice. Food is not made to order.

Everytime I have been to the mall, I always go for this place. The food is excellent and when youre really hungry, you can pay a bit more for even more! surprisingly reasonable price for being in the food court area! I have yet to see any rudeness happen to me.

The sushi isn’t handmade wich really did disappoint me cuz I was really looking forward to eaten sushi. Then I see the employee pull out some frozen California rolls. The sushi was very tasteless and was just stiff. The rolls were so small it only to one small bite. It was just a big no for me Period

My food was as cold as a refrigerator when I said something they let it sit up there for a few mins before they tried to reheat it. The tempura shrimp was cold inside and didn’t taste good at all. The service and food were the same absolute trash
