Great little local spot! Staff was friendly and the food was fresh and tasty. I ordered the teriyaki rice plate and my husband ordered the poke bowl, which he said was very good. The chicken was tender and the rice tasted particularly good. We also had the salted edamame, which I definitely recommend. Will be going back for sure!

Wonderful, food, service, and atmosphere. You have to come here and try their food. I will be coming back here for date nights and birthdays. Most likely, I will even be back on my own for a quick sushi roll to take home. Just come here and do yourself a favor!

Really enjoyed the food here. The Fried Rice was definitely the standout though. It has a ton of flavor. My 2 sushi rolls were solid and the Teriyaki chicken bowl was well made as well. Definitely our new fave Sushi/etc spot in Tracy.

Im relatively new to Tracy and miss my former go-to sushi place. I had big hopes for Satomi based on its 4.5 Yelp rating. The service was wonderful; the sushi, just okay. I read and disregarded the sign warning diners that their food would be topped with raw red onions. While I do like them, I now know that raw red onions do not complement sushi and that - even when picked off immediately - the flavor will permeate the entire roll. Beyond that, the rolls we ordered had an earthy taste, like dirty mushrooms, but without the mushrooms. Now, again, I do like mushrooms, but the taste of dirt does not complement sushi. Alas, my search for a new go-to sushi place continues.

For some reason I was under the impression that I had already reviewed this place because of all the exciting pictures of food I had taken from this place. I am a full believer in supporting family businesses and this os one of my favorite family run places that ai love going to. The service is amazing and full of love. When we dine here we have our usual that we order and then we try a couple new rolls and dishes. The udon Tofu soup is amazing which is definitely a go to for a cold day. The catsu plate, salmon teriyaki and beef teriyaki are fantastic as well. As you can see I can only describe this place aa fantastic so please go support this local business and local family.

I have never had such an incredible poke bowl. The bowl had an excellent amount of fish, toppings, and sauce. I usually tip a couple bucks no matter what, I know post covid some mom and pop shops like this one are still struggling but I never go back and tip more, after trying this bowl Im the parking lot, I got out of my car, went back inside and left a bigger tip. The lady who served me even gave me some extra chilli crisp, which by the way, was the best tasting Chili crisp Ive ever had, forget LGM, forget Fly By Jing. You NEED to have the Satomi chilli crisp. Stop what youre doing and order from here. Or drive in and get yourself a bowl ! The only thing I wish they had was edamame topping for the poke bowl, if they had it, it would be 11/10 but Ill just make do with 10/10.

The best place I have been to in a long time. The service was great and the food came out fast and tasted great. The calamari was crispy delicious appetizer. My son chose the katsu chicken dinner plate and loved it. My friends boyfriend ordered the garlic shrimp on rice and it looked great and we all tasted it and we were not disappointed. The rolls came out and each one tasted better then the next. We will all come back soon. It was very affordable for the sushi. The Thai tea was the the best I ever had. We ordered 3 more to go.

I have been going to Satomi for years. Family owned and operated, it is one of the best in town. The owners are friendly and attentive. I take my 84 year old mom and she loves it to. So far everything I have tried is great. I do not eat sushi so I cannot attest to that portion. However if you are looking for fresh fried rice, chow mein, etc., you cannot go wrong. This is a great place to eat.

It has been more than a year since I last visited but since I can not currently afford to drive an hour and a half each way, I am instead writing this review and recommend a poke bowl.

Awesome place. The garlic shrimp with rice was to die for.If youre in Tracy its a must try. The service was great also. Oh and dont forget the Thai tea. Yummy. We also had several sushi rolls. Absolutely loved it.

I had their poke bowl the other day and it was really tasty. Fish tasted fresh and the mix of accoutrement was quite delightful. They also provided me with a fresh brewed iced green tea which was a perfect pairing. Looking forward to my next trip there.

I like that they have a TV that plays various K-pop or other Asian music videos. The music makes great ambiance. The food is incredible, easily some of the best sushi in town. They also have the best ginger Ive ever tasted! The service was fantastic when we went.

You get a decent amount of food for the price. Problem is all the food u get is filler. My 10$ sushi rolls were majority rice with little slivers of avocado and salmon. One was all rice. Ratio was all wrong on others. Philly roll had way 2 much cream cheese compared 2 the rest of the roll. The teriyaki chicken we got had no teriyaki on it. Sushi rolls didnt come with soy. Etc etc I could go on but its just nit picky at this point. Get what u pay 4 I guess.

First time here and everything was so amazing and fresh! Loved our rolls we ordered! The Mt. Fuji and Lion King rolls had so much flavor also their friend rice with the side of teriyaki chicken and very tender beef is a must try! Modest restaurant but it makes up in exceptional service and yummy food. Their menu has something for everyone, combination plates, poke bowls, and sushi rolls. Fish was very fresh and our hot plate (chicken chow main) was cooked to order and generous enough for sharing. Service was quick and we didnt have to ask for water refills (thats important). Definitely plan to return amd and recommend it if ever in Tracy.

Went here to try the poke bowl which was fantastic however the customer service was even better. I had asked for a Diet Coke but when I drank it it tasted funny. The waitress said she thought there was something wrong with the soda fountain and did offer me lemonade or ice tea. About 10 minutes later she returns with a new class of Diet Coke. She had someone go and purchase a bottle so I could have it with my dinner. Thank you young lady for making my visit so pleasurable!!!

Tried it for the first time today. We got a couple rolls a couple poke bowls and a couple items that come off the grill. Everything was delicious except for the teriyaki salmon which was average. The salmon didnt taste bad the teriyaki sauce was delicious but the salmon was a little overcooked and dry. The rolls were awesome. The poke bowls were super delicious.

The tuna itself was fresh and yummy but the poke bowl was kind of sad compared to others Ive had. Also, I ordered it with mango thinking Id get cut up mango chunks (the usual in a poke bowl) but I got tiny shreds of mango instead and could barely taste it. Too bad because the sushi itself tasted good and the service was fast.

This place is a hidden gem. It is hard to find good eating around here, and most sushi places frequently drown their rolls in sauce, likely due to their clientele. Satomi holds themselves to a higher dignity. Fish is always fresh, menu is diverse, staff is incredible!

I am by no means a connoisseur when it comes to Japanese food but, for what its worth, I was pretty impressed. Very friendly staff and very good food for a low price. I plan on going back the next time I am in Tracy. I recommend the Poke Bowl with salmon and tuna!

I just dropped my car off at Big O and was walking back to my office. I stopped in and bought soup. The soup had thin sliced chicken, wonderful broth with green onions and I believe sesame seeds. And just the right amount of udon noodles. I LOVE!D it. I will go back for the soup. This was my first time there so I havent tried anything else.
