2023-11-25 06:15:53The food was bussin! The chicken was my favorite because I felt like the Oxtails could be a little more tender… even still Chef Tony and the staff was very friendly and the service was amazing! I went back for extra Mac and cheese. Just try it! It’s the best Jamaican in Los Angeles

2023-10-07 03:57:01Sattdown…amazing. My first time here with a friend I had Jerk oxtails, the perfect balance of high spice heat and flavor. The meat just melts….absolutely. I last dined in— it’s a cute cultural atmosphere in a corner in studio city. This time I ordered takeout for me and my friend and ordered Jerk Oxtails and Jerks Chicken wings. Plantains delicate, Ox is tender to a melt, Rice is exceptionally flavored. Not only is the food amazing but Chef Tony is so hospitable and kind— he takes the time to connect with his guests and I love that. Always great to put a face to the food ;pThe customer service A1, I felt listened to and catered to; since I always ask a million questions about the meal as I order because I’m such a picky eater.Yes, it can take a while for the food to be ready but it is SO worth it.

Try the Patty - beef, curry chicken and jerk chicken - so gooood. Atmosphere was great and friendly . Nice big portions . Definitely coming back .

2023-12-05 06:45:54I RARELY log in to leave reviews online but this place is one of the best food spots in LA and should be on everyone’s list. Chef Tony is a master at what he does and I hope this place lasts for years to come. I’ve eaten here twice already and both time were a 10/10.

2022-04-16 22:47:06ThIs place is one of the best authentic Jamaican food places I ever been to . The location is in a small plaza, the food is between $16- 32 I got the salmon mango plate which was fire, and I got my mom the oxtail dinner in which the oxtail were huge. They also have a small store inside where you can get ginger beer, curry powder, plantin chips etc.. this is a small restaurant that you can sit and eat, it does have a restroom available to the public. And the twisted flower hibiscus pun drink is off the hook . Yes they have patties even one for vegetarians . The owner of the place name is Toni which you will see in the picture below

2023-07-29 00:36:18I’m Jamaican- born and raised. I cook this food at home. Their food is horrendous and certainly not cooked by Jamaicans. It’s quite offensive, actually. I’m truly curious about the people who give their food more than 1 star- they must have zero clue what authentic Jamaican food taste like… which is sad, because they do not know what amazing mouth watering flavors they are missing. This place is not it… Caribbean people laugh when this place is mentioned as a dining option in LA. Lol The 2 stars is there because I can purchase canned ackee here- thank goodness for that! It’s their saving Grace :)

2023-06-24 21:29:05I don’t know where these reviews are coming from because this is the worst Jamaican food I’ve ever had. There’s no way the owners are Jamaican making this. First, the cabbage medley has no seasoning whatsoever. Not even salt. And olives - why? Who said that was a thing. The jerk chicken skin was soggy because they put too much liquid - again why? And it barely had seasoning. The plantains- how do you mess up plantains!!! It’s the easiest thing to make. You could’ve google the recipes and made something better out of these dishes. I got delivery but had I gone there, I’d demand a refund because this is just trash. Do not eat here.

2020-11-13 02:33:05Havent been to this place in years, but happy to report that its just as tasty and authentic as ever!I ordered the vegan jerk chicken plate and satisfied my hankering for spicy jerk flavor. Portion was huge and filling and only $13. Parking is free is the small lot, and I was in and out with my pickup order in not time.Cant wait to go back sooner than years now. :)
