Best authentic Goa-style Indian in the neighborhood and perhaps the entire OC! It goes beyond the standard Indian fare and is not compromised for non-Indian tastes. There is also an extended list of Indian beers. Yes, one can ask for the spicy hotness reduced, but why?

This is my favorite Indian food place in town! They have vegan dishes, and the ability to make vegan modifications to many others. Love the vegan roti with my curry 😍. They offer an extra level of spice upon request that is actually quite spicy which I appreciate 🔥. Staff is always friendly and the restaurant is clean - I usually never wait to sit down.

Absolutely the worst Indian meal of my life. The chicken was exceptionally dry, hard, tough and fatty. It was literally disgusting and we could not eat any of it. Vegetables served with the kebabs were mushy and brown. I can’t believe how bad the meal was. I highly suggest you avoid this terrible food. Their naan is not normal either. It’s South Indian paratha style (ultra thin, hard, not fluffy, not enjoyable) - very much like cardboard. I will never ever eat their terrible food again and neither should you. Avoid this place!!!!

We’re vegetarian and have been looking for good Punjabi food. After New Jersey, this is the best Punjabi restaurant we’ve tried. Things to try: Kadhai paneer, dal makhni and veg biryani. Their servings are generous and they service is really fast. Reminds me of food from Delhi and Haryana

Extremely tasty. The Chicken Tandoori was incredibly fragrant and enchanting, the chicken so tender and well prepared.We also had Paneer Tikka Masala (spicy) and it was very rich and flavorful.Very friendly staff, a beautiful night to eat outside. A great experience all around.

Great hole in the wall. Excellent food, although I am not Indian, it seemed pretty authentic. I had vegetable somosas, chicken curry and garlic naan. They were all made fresh (open kitchen). The chicken curry was amazing. Staff was fast and easy to work with. Highly recommend.

Wow! Amazing food - chicken Tikka Masala, samosas, Aloo Gobi, rice, and butter naan. I usually can handle some spice, so we asked for medium - tasted great but a little too spicy for me, so next time I will order mild. The banana mango pudding is a wonderful closer. Excellent service - nice people. My husband had a Taj Mahal beer on their recommendation - very good. We will definitely return!

We had a craving and decided to try out Sattva. So happy we did. After losing our other favorite Indian restaurant, Im glad to have another option. My husband ordered a variety of items... Palak Paneer, Chicken Tikka Masala, garlic naan, and some kind of samosa. Everything was amazing!! My only regret (and totally our fault) we ordered everything spicy and their spicy is no joke. Usually if I say spicy whether it be at a Mexican restaurant/Thai/Indian/etc., I get some weak sauce version of spicy like oh no this jalapeno is spicy... But no theirs is actually spicy. So in the future Id go like medium spicy. On the bright side, we also go lassis to cool that down, so I definitely still ate it!! Thanks for the tasty take away!

Very average Indian food which is typical of low end Indian restaurants. The Malai chicken Laban was sour and rest of the food was just so so. The prices were too high for the quality of food and the ambience. Service was friendly and quick but not orderly. The food came out at random times with appetizers coming after the main course. And please reviewers, don’t call this authentic Indian food. It just means you never had authentic Indian food.

Simply delicious 🤤 we just moved to the area and really wanted to try the restaurants around the neighborhood. We love Indian food and we couldn’t wait to come here because it’s so close! the Chana Paneer Korma was INCREDIBLE and so flavorful. Our waiter/host was super friendly as well, and the little patio area is so nice at night. We really loved it here and we will definitely come back. Thank you so much for everything!

Ordered the chicken tikka masala and it was the most bland Indian meal I’ve ever eaten. It was so bland, I had to add salt to get SOME flavor. It tasted like water to be honest. I had to even question if I had Covid and lost my sense of taste, but my taste is fine.Incredibly disappointed and for that price, yikes! Not sure where they got the 4.5 stars, but what?!?

Food inedible - leathery tandoor chicken which was slimy and greasy; one bite confirmed that this potential hazard needed a return - went back to restaurant and opened the box before the staffs eyes and showed them the miserable nasty surprise they had smiled and put into my hands minutes earlier - they were unimpressed at my dismay and said go to doordash if you want refund poor quality and potentially hazardous food was my experience here.

Delicious food and friendly staff with an outdoor patio that looks out to the plaza. Great for sharing plates with friends. There are seasonal summer concerts in the park and if you time it right, you can enjoy the music while eating Indian food for dinner!

I was craving Indian while staying in AV for a business trip and ordered food from Sattva. My food was ready and hot when I picked it up and the gentleman who greeted me was polite and ensured he pronounced my last name correctly (not required, but always nice that someone is so considerate). The food did not disappoint! Samosas were perfectly crisp and the chicken Makhani (buttered chicken) was amazing with just the right level of heat as selected. I have leftovers for lunch tomorrow too. Looking forward to a return trip in July when I can eat from Sattva again.

I went with my family and it was our first time there. The food was delicious. We ordered chicken Tikka masala, chicken Tikka, paneer makhani and plain naan. The service was good. The only thing we didnt like was when we told him to make paneer makhani spicy, they put chilli powder on the top and my mom could literally taste raw chilli. We will definitely look forward to visit this restaurant again.

Their buffet offering is pretty average, just like any other Indian buffet but their food is really good. They offer variety. I really liked the goose curry. And its neat that you can see people working in the kitchen. I wish they wore hairnets and gloves. Another downside is the layout of the dining area and the buffet counter, its pretty cramp, they could improve on that.

I came here for the first time with no expectations. As of today this has became my favorite Indian food in all of LA area. I was craving Indian food so my friend recommended this place before seeing a movie. As soon as we walked in Raj was quick to greet us happily, once sat he was very helpful with recommending a beer, “Flying Horse” which was really good, then he chose the Chicken 65 for us as a start and it was so delicious. For our entrees we did the Lamb Vindaloo I believe and the Chicken Tikka Masala accompanied with the garlic and chili naan. Everything was sooooooooo freaking good. We were seeing a movie so we didn’t want togo boxes but in no way could we leave any food behind. It’s been almost 18 hours and I’m still full and regret nothing. Raj is the best! We have gone there now for the 3rd time in 2 weeks. We ordered Tandoori Chicken and Chicken Tikka both of which were excellent. We also had Shrimp Curry which was superb. Last time we had Mint Chicken which was so aromatic. This restaurant is amazing! The food was so delicious and the hospitality was incredible. We were a group of five people and we ordered a bunch of different things to try -- everything was fantastic. Be sure to try the mango lassi, it is so refreshing! The owner was so welcoming and gracious and personally saw to every detail of our meal. My friend said it best at the end of the meal as he sat back in complete contentment of the entire experience, that felt like a warm blanket. I cant rave enough about this new restaurant and I cant wait to go back, this will certainly become a regular stop.

The food here is very close to the authentic versions you find in India in comparison to other restaurants in SoCal. They havent Americanized it and thats why I keep coming back to this place to try more things. Although, they could improve or their presentation and also reduce the amount of oil they use for some items on the menu, I still have oil stains in my car after some shoddy packing of my takeout order.Edit: We went yesterday and on the spice level we asked for Indian Spicy. The spice level was unbearably hot. So, much that we couldnt eat it and had to order something else. That is not Indian Spicy that is unbearable level of hot chili added to an order which is so hot that it actually is bitter. I like my food spicy hot but this is not what Indian Spicy means. Even my folks who just came here so India, and who prefer spicy hot food as well werent able to eat it. So, dont ask for Indian Spicy go for medium spicy!

Well this was the best Indian food meal we’ve had in the 25 years we’ve been in Orange County. Hands down. Not even close. The sauces were so rich and tasty. Delicious, delicious, delicious food cooked fresh, with heart and expertise. It is like a home cooked meal at some of my Indian friends homes who are deeply passionate about cooking great food. Except my friends do not have the clay oven that produces large one foot long Nan breads that are hot, fluffy, and aromatic as it is served. The potato and peas lightly flavored with ginger Samosas are so creamy, I thought they had heavy cream and butter, but no, just achieved by ricing potatoes while still piping hot, not with dairy or oils! They are soooooo good. We tried several lamb, chicken, and egg curries, all delicious. Our family and friends all had each found a new favorite. I have visited many expensive fancy Indian restaurants and small inexpensive strip malls restaurant as well in LA and SoCal and its my favorite for the food! It will be my weekly visits here for dinner that is the meal I am looking forward to each week the most!

We absolutely love Indian cuisine but havent found great local options until now. We tried the buffet. The vegetarian dishes - the korma, dal, even side veggies that come with the tandoori chicken - just burst with flavor. The tandoori chicken was moist and one of my favorites, including the goat curry. The samosas were buttery and the naan was freshly made. Staff was nice and place was modern, cozy. I saw 5 stars and I wondered if this business was truly 5 stars or South County 5 stars. This place lives up to the hype. Everything we ordered was delicious. We ordered the vegetable pakora, chicken tikka masala, chicken chili gravy, chicken vindaloo, naan, garlic roti and biryani. Growing up Ive had these dishes made many times in a multitude of places. This place knocks its out of the park on taste. They have spice levels as well so you can tone your dishes to your spice tolerance. The chicken biryani was flavorful and the chicken was moist. The food reheats really well so leftovers are a warm welcome rather than a chore to eat days later. I highly recommend this place.

Absolutely the best Indian Ive had in the USA. I eat Indian food all over the world (all over the UK, Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and more) and this is just spectacular! Ive eaten there 4 times and EVERY time the meats are tender, the sauces are rich, the Naan is fresh, and the beers are cold! Very nice people, too! Glad to give them my business. We ordered chicken 65... They gave us chicken manchurian and called it a day. It had no curry leaves, no green chili, was far cry from being chicken 65. See pic. We also ordered salty lassie, but they poured butter milk from the carton and called it a day. No jeeea powder, no salt, so much is missing from being authentic. I am going to give this place a solid 2. Prices are surely affordable! This was my first time eating there, so I went the safe route and ordered bhindi masala, naan and vegetable pakora, for delivery. I knew the okra, tomato and onion would make for a GREAT vegan, alkaline meal. The green and red chutneys were both different than other Indian restaurants. Not a bad thing, I just had to adjust my mind to the different tastes. The bhindi masala was bland with very, VERY few tomatoes and onions. I thought it was dry. The okra was tough, too. I am going to simmer it in some coconut milk today, to try and soften them to eat.The vegetable pakora was okay. I was expecting actual fried pieces of vegetables, but it was more like diced vegetables in dough balls. Think hush puppies with a little corn in them.I was/am disappointed, for sure.

The food is delicious. I tried the lunch buffet, good selection of veggies, meats and curries. All well seasoned and fresh quality. My favorites were their chicken tikka masala (rich and nicely seasoned, without being too heavy), well spiced chicken curry and saag/spinach paneer., along with their addicting garlic naan, so buttery and was the perfect utensil in soaking up all the delicious curries....well worth the extra calories. Plus their customer service is top notch. Very nice and welcoming people. Highly recommend!

Love the chicken tikka (perfectly charred, yet juicy and succulent from the inside and bursting with flavor) and the laccha paratha (not sure why thry dont have that on their menu), along with their chixken biryaani!. If you like goat, get the goat curry which is pretty tasty. The staff is very warm and friendly, but service can get slow on busy days. Will definitely be back to try out thr buffet and other items on the menu.

I got palak paneer, chicken tikka masala, and garlic naan. Even though I ordered mild, it had some kick to it. Im glad I didnt go for medium heat. The garlic naan was so soft and tender. So good. Latest: the fish in the Fish Curry lacks tenderness and has a texture like salmon. I would prefer a fish like cod.Chicken Makhani (Butter Chicken) and Lamb Curry are winners. But note, even though the curry was ordered to be mild, it was spicy enough that my 9 year old son will not try it. Also, one of the dishes includes biryani rice.The Laccha Paratha is almost like Naan but a tiny bit thicker. I shall try a different Paratha next time.
