First time here and I’m amazed by how delicious the food are. It’s a hole in the wall small place and the best Thai food I have. It’s super authentic. I recommended the chef’s choice BBQ chicken and pad thai.

Tasty food and great service.The inside is a little small, but we were luckily the only ones eating in. The service was top notch, friendly, helpful, prompt, we even got free little ice creams for dessert!Would come again, and will definitely be doing takeout in the near future.

Nice casual spot. I usually get takeout here at least once a month, but Ive dined in a few times. Service is good, food comes out fast (they must use A LOT of heat when cooking), and its great - better than the other Thai places nearby. Good portion sizes and great taste/textures. I usually get the spicy basil eggplant tofu, but everything else Ive tried has been great. My wife has been getting the Panang Curry lately. Definitely recommend this place.

Ive been here about 5 times now and every single time I leave so full and so happy. The staff is wonderful. The food is great.The curry is unreal, if you want to try the yellow curry before committing to the dish, get the curry appetizer - you wont be disappointed. The spring rolls are delicious as well.The Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles are amazingAnd the Thai iced tea is *chefs kiss*I love this place so much.

This place has the best Thai food Ive tasted. Very small place with maybe six tables. Theyre busy and very friendly. Everything Ive ordered has been excellent. You can get it very spicy like the way I like it or with no spice but the flavor still delivers.

Out of the way, small and friendly. We stopped for lunch and were pleased to find a family run, authentic Thai experience. This place is not big, 8 tables inside and 4 tables on a small patio. Very casual. Not too noisy. I was also impressed when I peaked into the kitchen noting at all staff wore caps and masks for food safety.We had the Spicy Basil with Thai Chili and the Black Pepper Garlic entrees, with the Spring Roll appetizer. All delicious!

Update 9/28/20What can I say that I haven’t already. Stellar food and better service. From pick up, delivery and dine in. Always great. This time was pick up and the food and service was just as good as always. My GF and i prefer different spice levels and she doesn’t like onions, scallions or tomatoes so we are always customizing our orders. What impressed me is they have never messed up an order. We’ve even gone to two different spice level for the salad dressing and they always accommodate.As for the food this trip, it was delicious. It’s been a month or so since our last trip due to the pandemic, so the food just tasted even better than we remember. Will have to make sure not to wait so long before the next trip.———————One of the best Thai places I have ever been too. Flavors are amazing and service impeccable. Go to dishes are the spicy Beef Salad and Penang Curry, but have tried many others and all were great. Only mistake I’ve ever made was to order items spicy which is something they take serious. I’ve had to adjust to Med Spicy which is perfect for most and then can kick it up when needed with their spicy sauces. The one with green chiles is fire. When you dine in, they also give you a small serving of ice cream which always hits the spot.

I ordered coconut water, and when they gave an actual coconut on a plate with a straw and a spoon, I was sold! I got to sip the refreshing juice and spoon out the meat while I waited for my delicious plate of Pad see ew. I ordered sans eggs, and tofu for my protein choice to meet my vegan diet and they were very patient, kind, and accommodating. The atmosphere was very peaceful and it was a great break from work!

UPDATE: 3/15/20Hello! This is one of my favorite spots to go out and eat. Its a comfortable and intimate environment. Recently, it has come to my attention that YELP is charging them an obscene amount of money and its hitting them hard. Please, please just go try it out. Its the best Thai food I have ever had. The owners are always there and once you go often enough. Please help them out.I love the fried rice with chicken, the chicken satay, roti curry, the grilled chicken and the pad see ew. Cannot recommend this place enough. The fried rice is the best Ive ever had, anywhere and my SO said that the pad see ew is the best hes ever had. Cant wait to try everything else on the menu! It is tucked away on a cozy corner of the shopping center by the Liquor Mart. The service is great and every other plate Ive seen served has looked enticing.

What a wonderful gem in Azusa! Great service, really nice people, delicious food. They have a really cute patio with herbs growing. They are consistently good. The pad Thai, drunken noodle and green curry rice are my favorites. Egg rolls are always hot and crispy.

Essentially a hole in the wall, this Thai restaurant is fantastic. The service was very friendly and the food was among the best Thai I’ve had. I ordered Shrimp Panang Curry, which was the perfect spice level and amazing flavor. More work could be done to make the restaurant more suitable to dine in, but great place to go as is.

Affordable good food. Served in large portions that seem designed to share with someone Ive always enjoyed eating here. The restaurant is kind of on the small side but a small party can fit, however they deliver so if you live in the area they will bring your curry to you!It is definitely a place worth trying and for the price it wont break the bank. This place may be better with a friend or date that enjoys similar tastes. Since the portions are large you get tired of eating the same Curry or Noodle and bringing a partner helps mix it up.

Ive been here many times. Its a nice little spot for some Thai food, lunch or dinner. They recently re-did the decor and menus, and it looks very modern. I like this place, however sometimes when I order chicken based dishes (orange chicken, pineapple fried rice) the chicken is super dry and not pleasant to consume.

On vacation and from the Bay Area and my husband and I were craving some thai food. We are vegan and the hostess and chef were very gracious to make our food without any meat or dairy. The food was very delicious! The flavors and seasonings and spices were perfect. Everything balanced itself out, The prices were very reasonable too. Next trip my husband and I take to Southern California, we are definitely making a stop at Satu Thai Bistro. Its a small hole in the wall place, but very worth it to try. Once more the food is excellent!

For a tiny place in a mini mall that shares a wall with a liquor store, this place is a gem.Great food at decent prices. Its not a fancy place for a meal, but its good food. Crying Tiger Sauce on anything is good and I crave the Tom yum soup with chicken regularly! Owner is super friendly.

The Thai food here is the best I’ve tried in Azusa so far the Pat Thai is good, the Beef salad is there best. I was happy. The BBQ chicken is a bit to sweet but ok. I don’t usually order out but it was 105 and I was to tired to cook, and I didn’t want to heat up my place.

Ive searched for years and never have I had Pad See Ew so good! The flavor, texture and subtle addition of the mildly heretical thinly sliced carrots made it heavenly! The service is great and they often give free ice cream just cause. Cant speak highly enough of this place!

The Pad Thai here is so flavorful and was a non-spicy dish. I added a side of their Peanut Sauce - great authentic, homemade flavor. They don’t open until 11am most days, but they do a lunch special that includes most of their signature dishes.

I ordered orange chicken at the Medium level which is my normal preference at other Thai restaurantsIt was almost inedibly spicy! After the meal I actually threw it all up, my stomach completely rejected it.The flavor was great, and my wifes Tom Yum soup was amazing (she did no heat). But please dont call that level of spice Medium. If anything thats a Thai medium and not an American medium. It was equivalent to what most Thai places call hot or very hot.Some of us have messed up our stomachs by eating spicy Thai and Mexican food since we were kids. We cant handle that much spice. So at least call it a Thai Medium. You dont want your customers to go through what I did last night!

Satu Thai bistro in azusa is the absolute worst....I have lived across the street from them for years so its always been the place to go when Im feeling lazy. Almost every time I open my take-out bag Im upset from either being shorted food or totally wrong food. And most of the time they have a list of items they are out of which are always the best most popular items. And dont even try to complain....they do NOT care. Im a reasonable person and after so many mistakes a person is bound to complain so I requested they remake my order or give me something else on the menu of equal value since my order was incomplete. ...all she was willing to do was give money back, which I clearly stated I didnt want I was hungry and just wanted what I ordered. I said I would never return and she as fine with it...just wanted me to leave. Horrible service never again

New owner took over a couple months ago I love Jenny the old owner and the new owners are great too i work next door and when I order food they always attend me with respect and if I have any questions they answer them. The price was reasonable and the taste was good for the price. They can adjust the spiciness as long as you tell them in advance, and the chicken skewers are delicious. Soop has a strong spicy and sour taste. If you dont like sour things, it might be a little odd, but I liked it.
