2023-12-02 05:38:29Whats not to love!? We showed up at 8, parking was a breeze. The kitchen cooked up our food super quick, first dish was out less than 5 min after ordering. Cocktails were fresh and refreshing. We ordered tapas style and loved every little plate. Dont skip the pickled pineapple, use it mid meal as a palate refresher. (Thank me later)Ambiance was super solid with a great playlist, was a nice modern cozy vibe, not sure how to describe it but it was perfect.Staff was super friendly, great classic Oakland vibes and very welcoming folks. We didnt do entrees but well definitely be back to try them.

2023-08-14 04:50:48Had an absolutely delicious meal with my friend at Sauced in July. We shared a few plates for lunch and were both so satisfied.Soy-infused soft-boiled eggs were served with a tasty coleslaw and gave tons of flavor. The garlic noodles were divine with lots of crunchy chili garlic for added texture and just a really good sauce. The steamed buns were a lovely texture for the pork belly bao served up with hoisin, pickled carrots and daikon, and jalapeno.

2023-10-14 04:42:09WOW! Everything we tried was 10/10! Special shout-out to Jesil, Jayden, and the owner, Jenni were amazing! They warmed my heart with their service, they were so attentive! I highly recommend the Hamachi spoons! Although they seem a little scary they were an experience! Again thank you to Chef Tony and everyone involved. Will definitely be back! Even dessert was different and awesome! Super blessed to have this experience and will be back!

2023-06-27 14:48:45The hamachi spoons were delicious. The gyoza were tasty, but pretty standard. My friend reported that his cajun seafood boil was quite excellent. However, my pumpkin curry was a bit muddy in terms of flavor and too grainy in terms of texture. On its own, the pumpkin curry would have only been 3 stars, but the other items warrant 4.

2023-04-02 06:14:14Delicious!!!! 🤤This place was the first asian fusion place that Ive been to in a while and it was good. The ambiance/decor was great. Went with the family and we just got a bunch of small plates and an entree. We left stuffed and needed a long walk afterwards. They have Singh, Sapporo and a few other drink choices. We got a couple Sake flights, I didnt love mine (unique flight), but Sake isnt my typical go-to/ preference. Service was solid, could have been better. The staff were friendly, but there were extended periods where our waiter didnt check on us. I probably wouldnt have noticed had my wife not wanted to order another round of drinks. All of the food I tried was good. Their short bread pudding with ube ice cream was the bomb.Food: 4.6/5Service: 4.2/5Drinks: 4.2/5Ambiance: 5/5Price: 4.5/5Overall: 4.5/5

2022-06-19 20:18:45Such a nice and cute place! The ambience was really welcoming and casual. The food was exceptional. I thought a lot of the food was creative and the portions were perfect. The Thai corn dogs were such a surprise in taste. It was definitely a highlight for me! Would definitely be coming back!

2023-01-01 20:51:41What a lovely experience. My wife took me out for a date here on a rainy friday night. The staff was so sweet and welcoming. Since my wife ordered the pre-fix menu when making reservations, we just sat and the journey began. Every course was better then the last. The hamachi shooters were a great start. I wish they had a flight of fish shooters. Chef, next time?Don’t want to get into each course. The chef came out at the end to see how our meals was and explained the pre-fix changes all the time.Im not an alcohol drinker, but the sake at this place is great. Next time, will have the sake pairing.Again the food is amazing, but the staff made it that much better.P.s. to the reviews that say that the value is low for the price of pre-fix… lets agree to disagree. I couldn’t even take more than a few bites of my dessert. I was just too full. I did take it home and enjoyed it when i had an appetite again close to 24 after our meal. I’m a big boy.Looking at making reservations again soon.

2023-04-12 22:58:09Nice little spot in downtown Oakland. Food was great but the portions are a little bit on the smaller side. As a vegetarian, their edamame peas were great to munch on and the pumpkin curry was super delicious!

2023-06-25 07:53:07So happy we found this special place! Very small and intimate space. From the minute we entered we received the most attentive service. The food was excellent! I had the best sea bass Ive ever had, and my partner had the short ribs, which she loved. They also have an extensive sake selection, and Jenny, the owner, helped guide me to the best pairing. The entire meal was wonderful, but additionally, this restaurant is truly a warm, inviting and beautiful space.

2022-06-28 04:49:34Not going to sugar coat it, Saucy is one of the best restaurants in Oakland!Their new location boasts subtle, simple vibes in an intimate setting. The aesthetic is crisp and you can smell all the amazing smells coming from the kitchen. There are two dining options, a pre fixe menu or a la cart. We went a la cart the first time around and got basically everything on the menu. The standout? The Hamachi shooters, the Saucy Wings, and the Garlic Noodles. Do not sleep on these. The Hamachi was incredibly fresh, hit with a light tangy ponzu and some crunchy garlic. The wings were sticky, crunchy and incredible. The garlic noodles were some of the best Ive ever had. Also, if youre still hungry after those plates, get the Thai corn dogs. The pork and lemongrass nestled inside a perfectly fried batter...omg.Youve gotta get Saucy!
