Scout Coffee Co. in San Luis Obispo

First time in this restaurant and definitely trying it again in my next visit to SLO. I loved this coffee place only bad thing it was full (On a Saturday) Good for business but not good for my first time wanting to have the full experience. I sat at the outside tables, it was a very nice morning to sit outside so I enjoyed that environment a lot. The service was fast-paced, friendly and organized. The order took some time to come out but I took into consideration how many orders were ahead of me. I loved their sweets I tried two; chocolate croissant and blackberry almond croissant. So delicious!! My coffee was a latte with oat-milk and the sunshine syrup which was tangerine and cinnamon…. Amazing!!! Their serving sizes were big enough to make it my breakfast meal instead of a snack with coffee. I recommend this place note; my experience was outside I spent little time inside, made my order, pay, take my order and eat outside. It was marvelous. I took the dishes back inside of course I ordered dine in but I did it “dine out”. Inside well you must enjoy places where you wait until a table gets empty and possibly wait until is cleaned or you clean it yourself with what you can etc. I’m sure the service is great enough that they would help you out in any way they can to accommodate you. Again I went on a Saturday maybe is not like that everyday. Hope you enjoy it as much or better than I did.

Great choices for coffee and espresso. Got the Fogatto with Whiskey and Brown sugar in-house syrup, totally worth it. Plain coffee was also good, smooth and tasty.

Dreamy coffee shop with baked goods and coffee bar. Lots of spaces to sit but no plugs. Wifi was slow so kind of a challenge to work. Loved the ambiance and decor and natural light. Wish they had more food options for lunch.

Super cute cafe with lots of single seats for working. Their Scout Cookie is super yummy, would not get the croissant though. Tried the gold mylk which was good and full of spices. Would recommend it if you like chai.

Really fantastic coffee shop in the heart of downtown SLO! The vibes and decor are amazing. It’s a great spot to just hang out, or bring your laptop and get done work done. I’m honestly not a coffee expert… so I won’t go into depth about that… but it seemed good to me. It’s for sure a spot to check out if you’re in downtown SLO!

While visiting SLO a friend recommended I try this place before I leave so I made it my last stop before heading home. The vanilla flavor of my vanilla latte wasn’t as present as I would have liked it but the taste of the espresso is just amazing. Also the baristas were very efficient with how busy the shop was. 4.7/5.

2 stars for food, because the 3 times Ive been in the last 6 years, while passing through on my trips, the coffee is always weak. Thats the main reason I go. Its a lovely place, though- I bought some bunches of dried flowers and perused plenty of beautiful gift options.

I’ve been to Scout Coffee three times so far and if I lived in the area, I would come here daily. The staff is super friendly, the location is amazing and the coffee is always very good. I usually get a latte and in the afternoons, I might grab a cookie too. Last time I got a ginger molasses cookie that was awesome. Unfortunately, my wife ate most of it so I had to go back for another and then realized it was $3.50 each. That’s a lot for a small cookie but it is tasty so I’ll just go with it.This shop seems to be a strong local hangout and considering just how many coffee and breakfast shops there are in this area, you must be good to survive. This is certainly one of the good ones.

Don’t get me wrong this place was great, especially the pastries. I recommend the chocolate raspberry scone!!! All theirs scones were FIRE! I also tried the lavender latte and the honey something latte, I can’t remember the name. It was so so good. The service…. Was ok….. kinda weirdly attitudey baristas and barely anywhere to sit with chargers. If you want to study here come prepared to not sit for long.
