Oh my goodness! So delicious! What a fresh surprise! We sat at bar and enjoyed Chef’s choices: Sunset, YTJ, Hye, Salmon Truffle x2. Beyond yummy!!! Can’t wait to return!

Ordered 5 rolls, 2 appetizers, edamame and shishito peppers to go. We picked it up bc it was a 25 minute wait vs Ubereats which was a 1 hour wait. Luckily I asked for wasabi before we walked out the door because there was no wasabi, soy, ginger or chopsticks in the bag. In addition they FORGOT to include our albacore crisp rice and the shrimp tempura roll. We ended up not having enough food for 5 people. The rolls we did have were good, not super. Also all the food was packed in styrofoam which was disappointing in this day and age.

The sushi at SeaButter is not good. Their sushi rolls were messy. Ordered sweet shrimp nigiri, and the fried shrimp heads were served cold and soggy. The salmon skin roll was more like cooked salmon roll with some skin. Unagi nigiri were drenched in sauce. Their uni nigiri was smelly. Ill have to continue to find good sushi around here. The staff were friendly and attentive.

Not an authentic Japanese food.High price!!!!small portion.Not knowledgeable hosts.Waste of money...Disappointed..Just being in Laguna Beach doesnt make it good.To me, the description of a good restaurant is if you like to go back there again regularly or not.And I Will never go back there for sure.

Great start for this new place with great service, food and ambience. Nice location on top floor secluded from PCH with ocean views and indoor dining room, sushi counter and patio to choose from.Very varied selection of dishes, though as of writing (July 30) their alcohol license hasnt come through - however they rang to notify me and didnt charge corkage for my own bottle of sake.Food was excellent, especially the top of line Toro Medley, though the veggie tempura and hand roll were a bit stodgy.

Tucked away on the 3rd floor of the Village Faire Shoppes is an outstanding sushi restaurant. The staff was really helpful recommending different dishes to us. Everything we had was absolutely amazing with delicate flavors I wasn’t expect from sushi. We definitely be back! You can park in the parking structure below and get you parking ticket validated for the 2 hours free parking.

Loved absolutely every dish we ordered. O-Toro was delightful, and the Wagyu-Uni sushi was insanely rich and delicious. Great menu, solid sake selection. Will be back!

Flew in from NYC and were staying in Laguna Beach for the weekend. Craved some good omakase and left completely satisfied. The sushi was fresh, delicious and beautifully put together. I can’t stop thinking about the pressed sushi. 10/10 must try. The servers were friendly and the music was on point. Highly recommend!

Fish was fresh, service was good, and ambience was chill on a rainy Sunday evening.
