My sprite tasted like mildew and the lemon that came with my pad thai had mold on it. my foods flavor was limp and sad and the only thing i can 100% confirm is good is the white rice they give you for free. gave then 2 stars because at least they didnt make me pay for it but still. yk

I love their Peking duck and crispy tofu. The staff were nice and helpful. If you come between 11 AM- 5 PM they do have crispy tofu as a lunch special. The portion was pretty big, I would recommend going as a group of 4-5 for what I ordered. Will come back to try more of their food 😊

Been coming here since I was a kid, Im 41 now- love seafood cove! And so does all of westminister, California!Come and eat here.Top notch Chinese/Vietnamese cuisine.If you love lobster then order their House Special Lobster! If you love Kung Pao Chicken then 100% order it- one of my favorite dishes here. Mint in clan sauce is Flippin awesome🙋‍♂️ and watercress Ong Choy or otherwise known as Morning glory- wow!Do yourself a favor especially if you love Chinese food cuisine.Come to Seafood Cove🙋‍♂️

Great food and fast service. I’ve been going here since 1980 and this place never disappoints. Parking could be hard to come by and sometimes there are lines to get a table but it’s worth it.

This place has great value for the price. Almost every dish is yummy. I always get the fried fish with their signature fish sauce. French cube steak, peking style pork chops, and house special chicken, black bean clams are amazing and yummy dishes.

We come here for the live lobster and it never disappoints! 😀The owner is friendly and gives us a lesson on how to pick the best live lobster. How cool is that!We also had clams with ginger and scallions and were not disappointed at all.Come here if you like fresh lobsters 🤤

The original Seafood Cove restaurant near the corner of Westminster Blvd and Newland Street has been a family favorite for many years. Weve had many birthdays and graduation dinner celebrations here. The manager and employees are very nice and accommodating. The restaurant is located at 8547 Westminster Blvd, Garden Grove, CA 92844. Theyre open 7 days a week from 11:00 am - 8:00 pm.The restaurant is currently open for outdoor dining but we decided to pick up an order of House Special Shrimp, House Special Chicken along with Salt and Pepper Shrimp with a side of rice. Its just the right combination for a picnic nearby at Liberty Park.They have another restaurant (Seafood Cove # 2) about 2 miles on Bolsa Avenue. The restaurant at this location is on the second floor with an open seating floor plan and updated décor. You cant go wrong with ordering 4 lbs of House Special Lobster, Vietnamese Hot & Sour Seafood Soup, Clam with Basil and other delicious items on the menu. This location serves Dim Sum 7 days a week from 8:30 am - 3:00 pm. We enjoy dining at both locations.

They have alot of choices. There were some hit and miss in sorry to say. Considering this is my grandmas favorite place to go. How can you mess up on fried rice. Im sorry but it was pretty bland and oily. Even panda express can do a better job at fried rice and they arent even authentic. Other then that I like the sour soup its always good. And some other dishes i forgot the names. Arent so bad.

Family run Chinese restaurant and wow are they so fast and so nice. They have everything from conch to fried pork to wok veggies and everything in between. This is a favorite place of my family for years now but it was my first time going. Their egg soup was so smooth and a great start to our meal. We then had fried pork, greens, fish, clams, and fried rice. I was shocked at how the fried pork was not dripping with grease! It was the best fried pork I have ever had in my life and I never eat it when it’s on the table usually because of the grease but wow was I impressed. My uncle had ordered for the table and even after ordering the waiter was kind to suggest a veggie so we had a well rounded meal! I have been to other Chinese restaurants that do this and I honestly love it and consider it important that they think of their customers in that way. The meal was amazing and sooo filling. At the end they gave us a free dessert which was a mango mung bean soup, at first it tasted a little funny but I ended up really liking it and knew that it wasn’t something coated in sugar and that it was a really healthy alternative to a sugary dessert! Very kind of them to give that at the end. They have the most authentic Chinese food I have ever eaten in the southern California area, a must try if you are in Torrance CA!

Food was fine, we had a good time. But, the restaurant would benefit from a serious and thorough cleaning. For example, the door to the kitchen is black with grime where you push it open. Same with sticky doors in the bathroom. They really need to go through it with a toothbrush and get all the bits of dirt out.We will go back, probably for the luncheon specials. We had the Lobster House Special, War Won Ton soup, French Style Beef, and Seafood Fried Rice, which wed only recommend to the adventurous, unless Sea Cucumber and similar is normal for you. It was crowded, 30 minute wait. Folks were very nice.

I rarely give places 5 stars on reviews, but Seafood Cove is one of my favorite restaurants out there. I’ve been going here since I was a child and every time I’ve gone has been absolutely amazing. Servers here have been here a whole so they know what they’re doing and they recognize you which is a nice touch. Since this place is so good it’s ALWAYS busy on the weekends, so if you want to avoid the crowds come on a weekday. This place is also great for groups and special events which is another reason they’re usually busy.I came here for a family celebration lunch and we ordered what we always get. The Salt and Pepper Shrimp, the Mint Basil Clams, the Salt and Pepper Tofu, the House Special Squid, and the Fried Fish. ALL of these dishes are unlike any other I’ve ever had and ALWAYS exceed my expectations. I’ve had many other dishes here and those too have been some of the best food I’ve ever had.I’d recommend this place to anyone, anytime, anywhere, and anyplace because I love it that much. I’ve been going here for over 20 years now and I’ll keep coming here for as long as they keep putting out the amazing food they do!

A staple in Little Saigon, this place is the original Seafood Cove. Our family have had many celebrations here over the decades. Have been going to the Cove for more than 20 years. Its a tradition, every time Im in town. House Special versions of the lobster and tofu are a universal hit.It seems they have transitioned to a lot of To Go orders, so it may not be as jam-packed as it has been in the past, but they maintain the quality and the charm.

The breath of the wok is very strong with this place! The noodles are wonderful and the mapo tofu was superb! Probably closer to 4.5 stars because parking is sometimes inadequate and the interior decoration is very plain and a little worn. But the food and service are truly excellent!

Here comes the bad part that is their restroom standard is beyond failing. They need to fix up the restroom because it is always dirty and slippery. We have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years and it never disappoints. Even during covid-29 when we take our food to go, its still super fresh, tasty, and piping hot. We get enough to feed 20 when there are only 6 of us. It is a little expensive but you get what you pay for and its delicious.There is always a line, so call your order in. Theyll give you a number and you give that number to the desk attendant when you get there. They usually tell us 20 minutes, we give them 30 to 40 because they are always busy.Little parking in the back, some street parking on Westminster. Enjoy!

It looked as though they had not done any matainance in the 8 years since my last visit. In the past we ate here for most special occasions. The service has always been difficult due to languages. The rice was old. We sent it back.The 2 pound lobster did not look like what we picked out from the tank. My son left his phone in the car today, and as we returned to the car we realized our right passenger window had been broken into. Plus my sons phone had been stolen! This place used to be so good for everything especiall their koa poa chicken and seafood plates. This place change owners several times since the 80s. In the later to early 90s it was part of Seafood Paradise right across the big street. Then it got sold. Now there is two restaruants of the same name and it is own by the same people. The food and service were terrible terrible terrible. We did not know what time the restaurant was going to close. We came in late, and they still accepted us in. They should have told us that the restaurant was going to close soon so that we would find a different place to eat! Five minutes after being seated, the waiter came and rushed us to order. He kept saying that the kitchen was going to close. We did not know what to order. The waiter then told us to order the dishes that he thought were really good. All the dishes came out about 5 minutes after the waiter took our order. We wondered why the food was prepared so quickly. We tasted the food and it was terrible. We complained to the manager because the 8 dishes that we ordered were prepared about 5 min. We wondered if they just warmed up the left over food! The manager said that they just cooked our food, and that their cooks cooked fast. Also, when we needed plates or water, we had to go look for the waiters. There was no service. We never wanted to come back to this restaurant or recommend it to our friends. Terrible terrible tertible.

This place is so awesome. A must-try dish is there hot and sour fish flounder. The sauce that comes with this dish is so amazing on rice. Also their kung pao chicken is so good, my gosh. This restaurant was surprisingly busy for what if had to offer. The first thing I noticed was how dirty it was, the seats had bits of food all over it, the forks had food on it, the walls had food splatters all over it and the lobsters and fish in the dirty tanks were already dead. The food was very plain, the peking duck was so dry and barely had any meat. The salt and pepper crab was overpriced, $15 a pound, but was the only good thing that they had. This is a great place to have lunch. They have an extensive menu, especially the lunch specials. You pick an entree and it comes with main dish, steamed rice, soup and hot tea, all for under 10 bucks. I usually have some leftover to take home as they give huge portions. Went here last night after our original late night reservations flaked out on us.I love this place, always gives me exactly what I want. Wonderful food, unrushed service, good music. My date ordered the crab legs with a lobster add on and a ceaser salad. I detoured from my favorite twin fried lobster tails and tried the bacon wrapped scallops with a fried tail add on with the market salad I love! I wanted to make sure that I tested other dishes from this place to see if they had the same magic. I was not disappointed. We even had to have dessert.Once again, a home run - and we WILL be back again!

PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR BILL.I was lucky because I order to go so I did circle what I ordered. After I paid for my order, the bill didn’t seem right so I did the math. They over charged me $28 and some changes. When I told the cashier, she didn’t happy. She told me “what do you mean I over charge you” in an angry tone twice. So, she brought her big calculator out and do the math. She did the math twice and apologize for it. They also charge tax at 8.75% for Garden Grove city. I thought GG city tax only 7.75%.

This isnt one of those hater reviews, because I came to this place already thinking that I was giving it 5 stars based on the excellent food and service I used to receive here. Seafood Cove usually has a wait around lunch time, but we were lucky enough to edge out the Saturday lunch crowd.House Special Fried Lobster - Highly recommended if you are feeling extra spendy. Its a bit tough to eat with hard to reach meat in some of the places, but cmon, this is lobster. Our 2.5 lbs lobster ended up being around $33.House Special Tofu - Fried tofu to a crispy perfection and every bite is a flavorful swarm of that House Special sauce. Just wish it was more filling and they put more on the plate, but its tofu anyway. Thats why we buy the meat.Salt Pepper Pork Chop - I always get this dish every time I visit. For some reason on my latest visit, I got 2 discernible pieces of pork chops and the rest seemed to be smaller scraps that you would find at the bottom of the fryer. When it first came out, I was shocked to see this typically fave dish lose its luster. Really we looked at each other at the table the looked down on this pathetic entree.The food review of this place ends up being around 3.5 stars. Some actions of the staff pushed it way down. Upon walking up to our table, we noticed that one of the chairs was wet and pointed it out to the staff. While you would expect the staff to get a rag and wipe it, she handed us a napkin. Then she pointed us to the dirty dishes tray to discard the napkin. While Asian restaurants are typically not known for their customer service, this was clearly not acceptable. This is in no way a reflection of the owner whom I used to see many many times here. The owner of this place is awesome. He always greeted customers and it was not above him to bus your table and assist his table staff. I had that image burned into my mind and smiled about it.I will come back and I will get these same exact dishes. I really hope to give this place a 5 star review, and will happily reward it when I can forget about my recent bad experience here.

I recommend going for lunch during their lunch special hours.The Kung Pao Chicken is a family favorite as is the Sweet and Sour soup, ask for Seafood Vietnamese style for a super flavorful and delicious soup. My go to place for Chinese seafood for decades. Steamed ginger & scallion flounder, salt & pepper squid, broccoli beef & sizzling rice soup were excellent as usual although the fish was slightly over cooked and the squid slightly under seasoned. Maybe they adjusted the dishes to suit what they perceived as our non-Chinese palates. The service is great IF you are accustomed to chinese restaurant culture. In typical American settings the server will check on you. In culturally Chinese and Asian restaurants you find them with your eyes and wave. Once you have that down then service is ON POINT.Food is absolutely plowable. I usually get the Honey Walnut Shrimp or House Special Shrimp, then get the Sweet and Sour Full Fish. Make sure you know how to filet a fish with a spoon. The soups are good party sizes fit for 3 or more people. Drinks are a la carte so each cup of soda is a buck or so.Id say the prices a are a little on the expensive side if you go with fancy options like House Special Lobster with dynamic pricing on season. My party of 3 usually spends about $50 without seasonal specials like lobster. Of course, my party of 3 eats about as much as an Asian family of 5 so your experience will differ.
