2023-07-31 01:36:24Looking for some Korean food in Redwood city and stumbled across Seoul Kitchen. This place is very casual - not an up market restaurant, but this is reflected in the low prices too. There a very satisfying number of Ban chan selections with the usual proteins, and happily purple rice. The rice can be swapped out with a veggie base if you desire. All this being said, while the food is not super authentic, I was super happy with my choice (Spicy Pork) and I was unable to finish the bowl as the portion size was huge. So to sum up; quick, simple, fresh and great value. I would highly recommend this place for a quick lunch and or a simple evening meal.

2023-06-19 04:23:45Very underrated Korean place to get food if you are very hungry or trying to gain weight (Im a small dude), You get A TON of food for around $12-15. Cheap soda prices if you want it. This place offers options for your liking. Note that the entrance is a small door and is easily missed when walking by.Pro tip: mix the food around in the bowl to get maximum flavor and intake if you dont like it all separatedPersonal experience: I took a couple of my friends to try this place when we hung out downtown and they really enjoyed it even with no experience with Korean style food. They still go there often when they are around here.

2019-06-14 00:23:45Great Korean fast-food option in Redwood City. We were somewhat meh about both dishes (Korean beef and spicy pork), but once we added some gochujang and mixed them like bibimbap style, both were de-lish! Highly recommend making your dish into a bibimbap. Their gochujang (red sauce) was not spicy at all. One caveat - they seem to use quite a bit of garlic in their banchans. I wish they would tone it down a bit.

2023-05-23 01:41:24This isnt a restaurant, its a Fast Food Joint. Like McDonalds, you order marching down a line, pay, and eat at a sticky table, when you are done, they have to pri your arms off the table with a crowbar, ha.

2018-11-04 22:58:48Located downtown, parking a definite pain. Dining space narrow, kind of like a Subway, with not that many seats. Even so, not many diners.Their base and protein were ok, though I wish they werent out of chicken. The bancha choices were decent but their kimchi couldve definitely been spicier. All in all good for a quick if adequate lunch.

2022-04-13 17:49:05Fun place with a good verity. Nothing is to hot. Only let down was the temperature of some of the dishes. Most of the food was just warm. I had the spicy pork.

2017-12-01 05:16:02Equivalent of a Korean Panda Express. Great if you need a quick fix or have never had authentic Korean.Pros: Michael is an amazing person, his enthusiasm for his work is clearly evident. He was the only person working at the store and gave his 100% I seriously hope theyre paying him well. Michael, I hope you get to own your own place some day, Im rooting for you!The protein available is quite good and the portion size is large. Good selection of base layer as well. I ordered the mixed rice with Korean steak and ate everything. The home made hot sauce is also a delight.Cons: The side dish game is super weak. You guys need a different kimchi vendor ASAP, thats the worst kimchi Ive ever eaten. I tossed both the kimchi and potatoes, simply couldnt bring myself to swallow. The mushroom was mediocre at best. I didnt try the other sides but I can only imagine based on the 3 I tried.Tip: Get double protein and skip the veggies; youll have a much more enjoyable experience.

2018-06-20 03:44:17I ordered the mixed rice with Korean beef, fried egg, zucchini, carrot, and spicy kimchi. You built the meal starting with carb, then protein, and lastly veggies. A lot of choices in each category gives endless combinations. The kimchi was definetly spicy and gave a nice warmth once mixed together.

2022-04-22 04:57:14I liked the place for a quick lunch. Healthy and looks fresh. The food doesnt have a lot of character. Not the usual strong Korean flavors. I think they may have dialed it down for the American palate? A good place nevertheless. 4.5 stars.
