Serious Dumpling in San Jose

It is a good place to try some soup dumplings and tasty sides. This place has some creative dumpling flavors. We tried the curry beef SJB, regular pork xlb, and had to get the large soup dumpling. The flavor to the curry beef was great. The large soup dumpling is something cool to try and has a good amount of soup that you use a straw to sip on the juice. I think the texture of the dumplings was a bit thick. The sides we ordered - garlic kale and vegan glass noodles - were great. They did a great job of seasoning these dishes. Overall, a cool experience and worth checking out.

I had a good experience here. Set your expectation right and you will have a good time.Pros:1. Meat flavor is very good. The garlic noodle is VERY good highly recommend. A bit oily though so might not be the best for some people.2. Price seems reasonable for the amount and quality of the food, as well as the ambiance and location.Cons:1. There’s not a lot of service. The workers there seems like they are not having a good time.2. The SJB dumpling wrapper is pretty bad. The flavor and meat is good though.

Really good place for authentic dumplings and Garlic Noodles. They have veggie options too. This place was open almost an year ago and now also have Patio seating.

I was craving some XLBs, so I decided to give this place a try only to be disappointed by the whole experience. They have indoor and outdoor seating. When we got there, we were seated outside and werent given the option to pick. Their outdoor seating was not that great. All the tables are right underneath the tree, so the tree leaves were constantly falling in our food and water. Their service was super slow. It took half an hour for our first half of the order to arrive. Then it took another 20 minutes after we were done eating, for the second half of our order to arrive. The staff only came out to bring our food but didnt bother to check on us other than that (when we needed more water or sauces).Their pork XLBs were not good. There was barely any soup, and the shell/ wrapper was very thick and doughy. The pork dumplings came doused in soy sauce instead of soy sauce on the side. My friend tried their beef pancake and said it was decent. The pork SJBs were way too oily and didnt really have much filling inside. I will definitely not be coming back.

REALLY good spot for dumplings, noodles, etc. The name is no lie - they’re serious about their dumplings! We went twice while in San Jose. Plan to order a few items and split with your party.The pork soup dumplings weren’t the best I’ve ever had, but were above average and cooked well. A little thick on the dumpling wrapper and light on the actual soup inside. Garlic noodles were insanely good, the highlight of each meal. You could add a protein and easily have a solid meal for one person. Green beans were very good, loved the garlicky soy flavoring. Shrimp & pork wontons had a nice spicy sauce (but not too spicy). It all hit the spot!Service was great both times - the server even remembered us the second time we went back. Anthony was great about answering our questions and making sure we were taken care of!!

Food temperature was great throughout the meal and meat flavor isnt bad.Steamed items came out fresh at the end, but skin was on the mushier side. Condiments seemed off -- soy sauce was quite strong but chili oil and red vinegar didnt seem to be quite right.Beef noodle soup had noodles that seemed more canto style and got a good texture to it but beef and broth werent memorable.Sjb had soup but had better.Staff was polite but wasnt very effective -- ordering instructions, getting water, getting an extra bowl, etc.~$40 per person. All in all, not sure its worth it.

Tried this spot for the first time, some of the best dumplings I’ve had in a while. The garlic noodles and pork dumplings were the best dishes we ate. Everything we ordered was tasty, and the service was great. Looking forward to coming back.

All dishes we got are very yummy! you dont even need soy or chili sauce with it.The only suggestion I have is have scallion and cilantro for soup dishes.

Garlic noodles were sublimely delicious. A must try! Dumplings were fresh. Hip atmosphere, good service.

I love the food everytime !! My favorite is the garlic noodles with beef 😮‍💨 always a hit and in a very local area with many things to do
