Great cafe that serves yummy Vietnamese food!Granted that the spot is in a sketchy neighborhood, the spot is quaint and very clean. Seats may be limited though!Pho French Sandwich (I think it shouldve just been called Phorench Sandwich 🤭🤭) was so good! The beef by itself was flavorful and the fixings in the sandwich went well with the flavors. The broth to dip it it made it sooo much better. It is their most popular sandwich, and they delivered! The bread was crisped to perfection. Must try!Crunchy Pork Sandwich was very tasty too along with the Bun Noodle Salad! Will try again !

Came for a light lunch with sesame banh mi sandwich with pulled chicken, and oatmilk latte with salted pandan. The sandwich was light, well toasted, and the chicken reminds me of chicken salad made with fresh chicken. The sandwich was really enjoyable and the coffee is also good. I did wish the pandan flavor was stronger in the coffee.

Amazing!!! If you like Pho and just good Vietnamese food in general, Sesame Dinette is a must try, and a must take your friends. I tried the Pho French Dip Sando, spring rolls (even though vegan, still very tasteful) and the beef meatballs. Everything was on point. I will be going here again to try more of the menu.

Food, service and atmosphere were all phenomenal. Prices are fair for the amount of food. Authentic food that you can taste was actually cooked and made with love to order, not repackaged/reheated. After living in LA/South Bay Area for 3 years and eating and MANY places, there’s finally a place worth going out of the way to. The broths were delicious and the French dip super tasty. Large assortment of cool N/A beverages both purchased and made in house.

I am so happy I finally tried this place! Ordered the vegetarian pumpkin ragout and pho/french dip sandwich which was so good! And the bread that they serve is amazing. I also got the oat milk latte with salted pandan (half sweet). It had just the right amount of sweetness and a beautiful hint of pandan. It was so so good. The only issue I had was finding parking. I ended up street parking but the parking spaces for the shop is limited, but the location is not the best. Other than that, it was a great experience!

A great, little vietnamese diner that’s doing it like no one else! The food is great quality and is so innovative. At first, I wasn’t sure about the higher prices, but who else is doing pho french dip? and they do it so well! The vietnamese flavors are authentic and I wish they were open for dinners! I love ordering banh mi with a café sua da!!I highly recommend, but some notes:there are no bathrooms, and probably not great choice for dining in if you’re a larger party (2 large, 2 medium, and 2 small tables). Aside from the 4 cute little patio style chairs, the rest of seating is backless, which is uncomfy if you’re sitting for too long.

Saw a short video on social media and went down to try this little place.Outstanding pho.... but my favorite their Vietnamese version of a French dip sandwich on the fantastic bread thats pressed flat and crispy and the meat is braised brisket with a phi au jus.Superb!

I love that we have this place in our neighborhood… food is amazing and the service is attentive . The place inside is like a Brookline noodle spot they are closed Sunday through Tuesday and open Wednesday through Saturday they close by 5pm .

Beautifully decorated space and the sandwiches are out of this world! We had the pho French dip and crunchy pork sando. So lucky to have this in Long Beach. Can’t wait to try more of the menu.

Sesame Dinette is a bright, clean breath of fresh air in the local foodie scene. The food is Vietnamese family home cooking, and it is sublime. Their Vietnamese meatballs are the ultimate comfort food. The pho French dip sandwich is to die for. And the beef bourguignon is rich and savory. Plus you can find cool AAPI groceries and treats in their little shop. Im sorry they discontinued their monthly pantry provision boxes because they were really well curated and just plain fun. Stop by and meet the lovely people who own and run this place and enjoy their wonderful food.
