Good food, good prices, sufficient quantities. General Tsaos chicken was really tasty and not overly thick with breading, the kung pao chicken was good with roasted dry chilies (but would rather not have the non-traditional celery), and the mapo tofu was ok with lots of ground pork but not enough spiciness and missing hua jiao pepper. Overall good value but not strictly authentic.

The food was not too great, it was like the only method they knew was to soak the food in oil. Panda Express beats these guys by 100 light years.The service was okay, but at one point the cashier was a little rude, we asked for water cups and she brought them out with no water, and then when we told her we wanted water, she murmured I aSkEd iF wAter oR nO wAtEr.The atmosphere was underwhelming and it didnt even seem like they wanted customers. Definitely do not recommend.I didnt take photos because the food didnt even look okay.

Wish I would have tripled the amount I made. This place was amazing. They arranged for me a large bowl of steak, black beans, rice, sauces, onion and peppers (special shout out to chiptole cream) and it was delicious; modern, fresh mexican. Would go out of my way to eat at this hotel again. Kids menu, cold pressed juices, and what looks like a great cocktail menu (wish I would have tried it). Definitely recommend.

Been coming here for years. Its been under new ownership for a while but not sure how long. New owners have not been as friendly but take this with a grain of salt because I have not been a regular. As of today they are delivery or takeover only. Food tonight was good and there ar new menu items that I noticed that I will try next time. Still, the location has always been tight and never great for eating in anyway. I would recommend but if you want to eat in then go to Mandar Inn.

My favorite restaurant in town for sure! Wed had a hard time finding good Chinese food after moving to the area, and I may or may not have teared up a little at first bite. Everything Ive had here is good, and the staff are so sweet. I cant recommend Sesame Inn enough.

Best Chinese food in Newbury Park. Staff is very friendly. I go so often they know my order already. Thats great service! Try the House Crispy Chicken, its delicious. Great portion sizes for the price, I always have left overs. The food comes out fast, both for dine in and take out. Its a small restaurant, so it usually gets packed during peak hours, which is a testament to their popularity. Try it, youll be glad :)

I have fallen in love with glass noodles here. They serve it with pork belly and other sprouts and I can guarantee you that its awesome.I have also had Fish with Wine sauce and its good too. Its one of the rare authentic Chinese places I would say.There is dearth of seats on weekends as it is a small place so early reservation would be wise.Staff is very kind and cooperative.

Highly recommend this little treasure. So glad I followed the reviews and tried this place. The food was fantastic and the to-go service even better. We stuck with standards, Mu-shu pork, beef with broccoli, but if youre up for it, the garlic shrimp with eggplant was amazing.

Great service and excellent food. I havent found any other Chinese restaurant in the Ventura County area that can come close to this place as far as quality of food and service goes. Definitely on par with some of the places Ive eaten in the Bay Area. Nothing weve ordered was ever disappointed us. Braised Green Beans, Dry Spicy Chicken (other menu), and Vegetable Egg Foo Young are my favorites. If you like Orange Chicken, it is one of the best - crispy, tangy, and sweet! Portions are huge and prices are very reasonable. We always order way more than we can eat in one sitting, so we have lots of leftovers.

Came here with my family and ordered the orange chicken, cashew chicken, and the vegetable lo mein to share. They were all generous in portion and tasted wonderful. Their prices are super reasonable. Will definitely be back here. The only thing you may have to watch out for is that the dinner area is small so there are not very many tables.

Weve loved this place for 19 years since Jennifer and her husband owned it. We order mostly take outa at least once if not twice per month. The quality of the food seems to be the same: excellent. We hope it remains that way with the new owners!!

A solid 5/5!! This is probably the most authentic restaurant around the Thousand Oaks area!! The boss is very very friendly, I always see her with regular customers and always sparking a conversation with them. Being Chinese myself I believe that is the most authentic Chinese cuisine in the area. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Nice neighborhood Chinese place that does a lot of business. Food has almost always been good.The previous owners and staff really ran a good shop and the owner would be waking around checking to make sure that all was good. The new team is still learning but they need to make it more personable.

Sesame Inn is a small, local Chinese restaurant located in the hills of Newbury Park off Wendy Drive. The food is authentic and delicious with dishes such as the savory Hot & Sour Soup and the tangy sweet Szechuan Chicken. I havent been here in awhile but I recently visited during the shutdown, and the takeout food is just as good as ever. Thank you Sesame Inn for the delicious meal!

You walk in and you are immediately greeted as if youre old, dear friends come to visit. The staff is very warm, friendly and charming. The seating is limited but stay, the food is the freshest Ive had in decades and so full of flavor, its just a sublime delight! The serving portions will always leave you taking food home! Seriously, this is the best chinese Ive had in ages!

The small size of the place compensates for the BIG flavors that comes out of the kitchen. Great classic and authentic Chinese flavor profiles. Just try it for yourselves. Staff is friendly and offers great suggestions.

Authentic Chinese Food, at least as close as you can get locally. Service is good, at little slow at time and the place is very small so get there early. Prices are so-so, a little higher than I would like. The portions are decent.

The best Chinese food around. Love the wonton soup and potstickers. The Kung pao chicken is awesome. We go here A LOT!!! Its a small place restaurant and it gets very busy on the weekends but because of the kids we eat around 5:30 so we have no problem getting a table. If all else fails you can call and get it delivered

Called for a delivery, but was told Im to far?I live off the Camarillo Springs exit, they are off Wendy Dr. According to Google Maps my location is 4.6 miles away, 9 minutes. They wont deliver to the very next exit?? Unacceptable. If you advertise delivery within a 5 mile radius you should uphold that commitment to potential customers regardless of which direction your driver has to go.
