The Seven Gables Inn has a very refined aesthetic and quality that you rarely find in the US. Once you start to notice all of the art, the matching fine furnishings, the softest sheets and the way the rooms are positioned to always turn you towards the beautiful view of lover’s point, you start to really fall in love with this place! I know I did.
Tremendous. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel very welcome. Check-in was seamless and the receptionist was extremely helpful in informing us about the local area including restaurants for dinner and offered us a complimentary glass of champagne.He showed us to our room which had a fantastic view of the ocean. We awoke early and saw the sunrise from our room (The Garden Room). The Breakfast Room also affords remarkable views of the pacific ocean. Highly recommended.
Wonderful b&b. The room was cozy, everyone was friendly, and the views out to the Monterey Bay were simply gorgeous.
We stayed 6 days here and ist was beautiful. All rooms are nicely decorated and the view from our room was great. Some people complained about a couple of things that I can‘t agree to: the breakfast was very fine, one type of eggs or a quiche, hash browns or country potatos, good selection of fruit and cereals. The coffee was always fresh brewed and everything was served on fine china.The only thing they could do better, would be room services at least every 2 days.But altogether - a really nice hotel.
Property is beautiful. Views are amazing. Beds very comfortable. However, staff is ridged and unwilling to accommodate. Breakfast on par with Holiday Inn Express. (No meat at breakfast. All boxed and sugar coated cereals.). We asked the afternoon before if we could get breakfast 15 minutes early to accommodate our schedule to go whale watching and they said there was nothing they were willing to do. We asked if we could delay check out by an hour and that was not possible either. We asked if we could get fresh coffee before 8 AM and that request was rebuffed as well. These are all pretty basic for a nice hotel, and we were disappointed that they were unwilling to or unable to provide.
I had a disappointing night at Seven Gables Inn. I ordered a room with ocean view, so I had high expectation for this trip. Unfortunately on the night that I stayed, the electricity was off all across the town. The water was cold until the next morning, and the staff didn’t tell us about this when we came back from dinner. On the second day, when we were still in the room, a cleaning lady broke in without even knocking at the door. When we checked out, the lady at the front desk didn’t show any sign of apologies about the amenities they failed to provide. I wrote an email expressing my disappointment, but after two weeks I got no response. I would never stay in this place again. I’d rather stay at home if I knew I was paying ~$500 for such a horrible experience.
I was excited to stay here after booking with a very nice gentleman on the phone who was very helpful in my room choice. The property is lovely, the view is beautiful, the beds and pillows were comfortable, and the staff are very nice and welcoming. Its first come, first serve, on nearby street parking. They have 3 very small parking spots on-premise, but my large Tesla wouldnt fit in one. I was very disappointed to learn no one would help me with my bags. If youre paying over $700/night all in, you expect valet service, even if they cannot enter your room given their COVID protocol. Also, youll not receive maid service, which they state on their website and let me know when checking in. My room appeared clean at first glance; however, I noticed hairs on the bathroom floor in numerous places that were not my color/size (and I hadnt been in the bathroom at that point) and also hairs on the left sitting chair by the window. There were enough hairs on the bathroom floor/baseboard that I felt like it just hadnt been cleaned properly and didnt feel comfortable taking a shower the next morning. I went to the complimentary breakfast the next morning and was not impressed. For the high prices they charge for rooms, you expect higher standards. I checked out early and wasnt asked if I enjoyed my stay or anything else. I believe they might have generated an auto text after I left, but thats really not the same as being personally asked. I left very disappointed and felt overcharged for what I received.
Nice location but first and foremost the room was not worth the price. We booked a room with full ocean view: 655/night. The room was confined, with old furniture and the bathroom was so cramped that it could not contain 2 persons at the same time. On the pictures showing the Inn from the ocean, what we could not see was the street between both, with a lot of traffic. Genuinely, we thought the Inn was close to the beach. Since there was no AC in the rooms, and it was hot, there were 2 solutions: either open the window and get the full traffic noise, or deal with the temperature. We can add the general smell. The employees were nice, especially the young lady who welcomed us. The breakfast was ok. A detail, the sheets are not in cotton, but in luxurious microfiber, which is another word for polyester.
We last stayed at the Seven Gables immediately prior to Covid in 2020 and were really looking forward to our return. Unfortunately, our experience recently was not as special. A couple examples. The hotel discontinued the evening happy hour, which was a big disappointment. Their rationale; “We are trying to figure out how do it safely with Covid?” Really? That’s still an excuse? Hardly. Also, the breakfast is now only vegetarian, which is fine but the egg dishes they served on 2 of the 3 mornings had cheese, which I can’t eat. There’s no protein alternative. The power was out for 2 days, which was not the hotels fault. But, they said they only ran the generator to heat water was from 8 AM to 8 PM when the staff was there. I assumed they would be willing to come in a bit early and turn it on so that there would be hot water before 8:30 or 9 in the morning, but they didn’t so cold showers. And, no one offered any apologies for anything. I would definitely not stay there again. For the prices they charge, there are nice alternatives.
The room has dust which caused the serious allergy so we have to check out in the midnight at 12:40am (01/16) before the planned checkout time which is 11:00am (01/16) in the morning. When we checked out we told call the emergency number that the hotel provided. The person who take the phone told us if there is anything wrong. Without knowing the person is the manager, I said the thing is ok since it is already very late in the midnight and we dont plan to argue the issue during that time and want to contact back to the manager in the morning about the issue. But we did leave the comment about on the review card about the allergy reaction (which should be legally the same as told the manager at the time of checkout). I tried to called in early morning but the manager was not available. When I called in the next morning on our original scheduled checkout time which is 11am (01/16), the manager told us since the issue was not mentioned by during the midnight call so even we have left the comment in the review card the issue will not be consider an issue. For the allergy, she told me that she also has the allergy but didnt has anything wrong while staying in the room without any prove or sorry to the customer which is a bad experience personally to me. The room charge over $600 per night which not worth the price. And also customer need to be very careful about every word told to them.
If you like historic accommodations without fluff you will love the Seven Gables Inn. They offer daily breakfast which has a mix of items such as eggs or quiche as well as fresh fruit and cereal. The rooms vary in size and the bay views are breathtaking. Due to the age of the inn and desire to keep the historic vibe there are no phones or televisions in the rooms. Who needs the modern conveniences when the scenery can draw you in and keep your attention for hours. I would have given 5 stars across the board if the room we had, had been larger and if beds were made daily and room service had been offered. Eventhough these services werent available this would not keep us from coming back.
This place is wonderful! The grounds are very well maintained and the accommodations are so comfortable. The location was perfect, it was about a 20 minute walk to Cannery Row from the inn which goes by fast because the walk is so easy and gorgeous. We came here to get away for the weekend and I couldnt have come home more refreshed. It was exactly what I needed 😊❤️
Incredible Bed & Breakfast. We came with my family for a last minute weekend getaway to escape the heat and smoke. This hotel is very nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff is very friendly. Even though it is designed to look old, everything is in good condition and feels new. Beautiful views and an easy walk to the ocean across the street.

My partner and I wanted a little getaway and decided on Seven Gables. Beautiful location, steps from Lover’s Point and one block from downtown Pacific Grove, or 1 mile to Monterey’s Cannary Row. Checking in was simple, and their “lobby” is ridiculously charming with stained glass, wood work, and beautiful fabrics. We stayed in Julia’s Room, and had a LOVELY and commanding view of Lover’s Point, Monterey Bay, and the Monterey Presidio. The room was very comfortable and well appointed, and the bed was super comfy too. Breakfast was pretty good too. All the staff we came into contact with were friendly and helpful, even indulging us in some house histories. Don’t skip this charming and lovely place.
We stopped here on our honeymoon and WOW!! we stayed in the Seal Room and it was absolutely perfect. Beautiful picture window with seating and a bottle of wine. A really sweet note congratulating us on our wedding was a sweet touch. They thought of everything. Listening to the waves while falling asleep was amazing. Highly recommended!!
This beautiful old hotel is just perfect! Nice rooms with age appropriate furniture, beautiful ocean views and a delicious breakfast! The staff were ALL polite and helpful. We will definitely be back!!

My wife and I stayed here for our an anniversary in the Crespi room. We had a wonderful stay. Room was quiet, view was outstanding. Room was comfortably big. Attached restroom didnt feel at all small. Room to shower and change.No TV in the room but the WiFi was fast and we came prepared with a laptop with shows downloaded. Lots of plugs for charging electronics.Breakfast was immediately downstairs. From our room, we could take two different staircases. One, left into the beach house common area. A second out through a balcony connected to the Steinbeck room and downstairs. Breakfast was a buffet with quiche, roasted potatoes, three danish options, toast, cereal and fresh cut melon. Looked like a couple different juice options, coffee and decaf.Front desk staff, Alexander and Irie were very friendly and helpful. Alex have us a short history tour of the facilities, as we traveled to our room.My only complaint, not really a complaint, at sunrise when we opened the blinds, it was so bright and glorious outside that we were monumentally blinded and needed to close the roll up again.

This was one of our favorite inns. Stunning from floor to ceiling. Victorian decore everywhere. Kept extremely clean and staff was very friendly. Will recommend and will book again.
Superb service and a fantastic location. The vistas of Monterey Bay are unbeatable, and the entire inn is blanketed with elegance. Built in 1887, the buildings/outbuildings have been maintained and refurbished to the highest standard. The rooms are beautifully appointed and adequate in size. Bathrooms are spectacularly clean and have everything needed (including comfortable terry robes). The grounds are immaculately kept, and both Asilomar and Cannery Row are minutes away by foot. Already planning a return trip - Special thanks to the staff for making our anniversary unforgettable!
A gorgeous place with a great view of Monterey Bay. Great service, so clean and classy, excellent breakfast - get in early so you have the bay window seat to watch the surfers. The location was excellent and we walked everywhere. Make sure you try Passion Fish Restaurant while you are in town - delicious food at a reasonable price with a terrific wine list.
This is a beautifully remodeled historic home that paid attention to detail and its history. The views are amazing, the staff is friendly and professional. The breakfast was wonderful as was the company.I would highly recommend and we will be back.
Spent 6 nights at the Seven Gables Inn in the Bellevue Room. Throughly enjoyed the stay. Staff was helpful. Breakfast in the morning was very good. A hot egg dish with a side. Cold cereal, outstanding oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit, and pastries. I read some reviews complaining about the breakfast but we found it to be good each morning. I missed a daily or every other day room freshening up. I think that’s the way it is in most establishments post Covid. The location in Pacific Grove is excellent. You can walk along the bay. You can walk to the Monterey Bay Aquarium (we did) and Canary Row. There are some excellent restaurants, bakeries, and coffee shops a few blocks away on Lighthouse Street. It’s an easy drive to Carmel, Pebble Beach, or to catch HWY1 toBig Sur. Their parking lot is limited but we always found street parking right outside the Inn. We loved our stay.
We had a wonderful stay at seven gables inn in pacific grove. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was very nice with a spacious en suite bathroom. There is a delicious and generous breakfast in the morning, wine and cheese in the afternoon, and cookies at night. There are many restaurant options within walking distance on the paved recreation path. We really enjoyed sitting in the common area and looking for wildlife in the bay. We would stay here again for sure!

We picked this hotel because of the charm and proximity to Monterey. Right on the Ocean the View from our room was picturesque. Seven Gables lived up to its recommendation of charming. Our room was small but adequate for the two of us however no TV. Something we both like to watch before going to sleep. The service here was impeccable very polite and friendly, made us feel welcome and inviting. The problem: when I book a B&B meaning Bed and BREAKFAST I expect a homemade breakfast. In fact I look forward to the next morning!. I rarely eat breakfast but it is the one thing I really love on vacation. Well as I walk into the charming and quaint parlor set up for breakfast it was everything I was hoping for, except when I ventured over to find the tantalizingly goodies waiting for me to devour. WAS I MISTAKEN. In stead I found warmed up frozen potatoes squares and cold powdered eggs. Bakery goods that looked as if they were purchased from a distributor and thawed. The usual tidbits of cereal and fruit. I thought well Ill taste the thawed out frozen pastries but they had no flavor. I am sooo greatly disappointed. I feel ripped off. Will not stay here again. Which is sad because I really love the hotel itself and location.
Awesome view. Great room. Every thing was just as it should be...just right. The breakfast service and food was done just right. Everyone on the staff there made us feel welcome. We got the feeling that everyone there just wanted us to enjoy our stay and we did. Lovers Point, Pacific Grove is truly one of the nicest places on earth and The Seven Gables Inn is the place to stay. Cant wait to go back.
I reviewed Seven Gables 4 years ago and gave it a deserving 5 stars. Visited this Christmas week and unfortunately felt a need to modify my review. I realize that COVID has had a significant impact on all businesses but I am also concerned that a change in ownership at Seven Gables contributes to some significant changes to the Inn. The breakfast offering in the breakfast room was a huge disappointment after experiencing the fabulous offerings under the previous owners. The new owners have certainly cut costs by offering much less variety and quality of food. Our room was quite small and was the only available when we made our reservation. The furnishings were quite dated and the 2 chairs were very uncomfortable. The bed was so close to the standing wardrobe that one door could not be fully opened without hitting it. The site of this B&B is gorgeous and the many of the rooms have a wonderful view of the Bay, but it is definitely not the Seven Gables of years past. My wife and I have sadly decided not to return to the Inn.
We absolutely loved this place. The service is wonderful and they are always keen to help and make your stay better.The rooms and the common areas are beautifully decorated in a Victorian style but with modern comforts. The bed was absolutely amazing, Id never slept this well in a hotel, it wasnt only comfortable but the sheets are so soft you feel you are sleeping on clouds.The breakfast was good, not outstanding but perfect to cover everyones taste.We will be coming back for sure!
I set out with a relaxing, adventurous, birthday weekend in mind for the girlfriend, and Seven Gables Inn in Pacific Grove was the perfect location. Excellent views from the room, active ocean front, and the rooms and architecture are fantastic and well maintained. It has a relaxing vibe, we enjoyed every moment of our stay. Staff is fantastic to interact with, great sincerity and energy.
Amazingly lovely place. Great views, great breakfast, great staff. Everyone is very friendly. This is the second time weve stayed here and its better than the last. Cheese and wine before dinner, then cookies and milk after. Great places to eat and see nearby. Incredibly comfortable beds and rooms.
Great location if your touring Monterey, or Carmel. Cottage style rooms with views of the beach. We stayed two nights and it was thoroughly enjoyable. We took our bikes and biked all around Monterey and the ocean trails. Recommended.
A very authentic 1886 bed and breakfast. Pricey, but you get quality. Every inch of the INN is authentic. We drank champagne and watched whales from our ocean view room. Beds are very comfortable.
Lots of walking paths right outside the hotel along the water. I highly recommend the pavels bakery down the road.Room was very clean and nice! Also be warned, if you bring food to lovers point you will be surrounded by squirrels! They might be cute but please dont feed them!
I dont even know where to start. This place offers the perfect atmosphere, cheerful and helpful staff and awesome rooms! Its a bit pricy, but it should be considering the location and level of service. Rooms are spacious, luxuriously appointed, and spotless. The Bay views are unbeatable, nor is the sound of the waves crashing at night. What a way to sleep! They serve a freshly cooked buffet breakfast, and offer wine and cheese in the evening as well as milk and cookies at night. So classy! Well be back for more!
Stayed here for one night during our honeymoon road trip! Wish we had booked more days here! The location is great, so many places to walk right in front of the hotel! The staff was friendly and the room was perfect :) looking forward to making our way back here someday!
Great spot and a lovely old building. Staff are nice. Not all of the rooms have TVs which I think is a nice thing! Beware the siren call of the breakfast mimosa. Park on the side streets and walk around, some cute little sea lion beaches at the right time of year.Walking distance from the aquarium for a healthy tourist, if you were wondering.
Rooms are very small but the views!! But unfriendly african american in the breakfast dining area! All other service was good!

Absolutely Beautiful! The exterior architecture of the Seven Gables Inn is stunning! But the interior with the oak woodwork and antique furnishings is gorgeous. The views of the Monterey Bay are breathaking from the rooms facing the water. The staff at Seven Gables are very friendly and helpful. I would give Seven Gables more than 5 stars if allowed !!!
My husband and I celebrated our 40th Anniversary at Seven Gables Inn. This Inn is beyond anything I could have imagined. Beautifully decorated, wonderful food, great location and the view is amazing. Directly across from Lovers Point! We felt so welcome and at home. Stayed for 6 nights ~ relaxing and touring Monterey Bay area. The Inn Keepers were so pleasant! And the bedding was beyond yummy! Bought a set of sheets and now Im spoiled and need to order more! All I want to do is go back and stay there again! And we will. I know its pricey....but....worth every penny!! I promise!!
I do not even know where to start so, right out of the gate AWESOME We have never, ever, stayed in such wonderful accommodations, breath-taking Inn! We had reservations at a hotel on Cannery Row. However, were were waiting for our new Tesla to be picked up in Fremont then drive to Monterey. Our car was not ready, lost the reservation, we had to find another room. Best thing that could of happened to us. Thus, I found Seven Gables. We would of been so disappointed if we had not stayed here. From the beautiful rooms we had two we stayed in, one Friday night then moved to a second room Saturday. They did everything for us for the move. How fun to have been able to experience both rooms. The view was so mesmerizing it was difficult to get out to do anything. The wine and cheese hour, meeting new people, the food was so good! Breakfast was a nice treat and the view from the dining room, WOW. Cookies and milk each night was so great to just sit in their beautiful lobby rooms a nice ending to a beautiful day in Pacific Grove. I could go on on. The staff is incredible. They made all our dinner reservations, we left so very spoiled. We are already planning our next trip. I cannot recommend this Inn enough. There are not enough stars to rate this as high as it should be. Go, enjoy, you will be back!
We spent the first week of August at the Seven Gables Inn, Pacific Grove, CalifThe room was comfortable, the breakfast buffet filling and the room service, non existent. During our seven day stay, room service never vacuumed, the bed was never made, the trash was not emptied and supplies, (towels, soap, coffee, etc.) were not delivered.We, the “guests”, emptied our trash daily and walked to the registration desk if we wanted clean towels and other supplies.When we complained about this absence of service and the inherent accompanying health hazards, we were told that the absence of room service is because the inn is severely understaffed and also, as a result of COVID 19, some guests requested their room not be serviced. We were not among those quests that opted out of daily room service nor were we offered an opt out service agreement.An otherwise lovely vacation was tainted by our stay at the “do it yourself” Seven Gables Inn.

The view from the rooms and the main lobby is gorgeous. Breakfast and snacks served in the main sitting area for guests. The food is great and the service is timely with smiling faces. Every time I visit I always meet new people in the main sitting room. Right next to the water.
Ive been an amateur artist my whole life. And Ive lived in PG or Pebble Beach my whole life. That being said Ive never felt more inspired to paint my surroundings or as inspired to love the place we live as when I stayed here for the weekend. My favorite part aside from the view was the service. Employees were absolutely on top of everything we needed.
Spectacular view from every room, unbelievably good service from everyone on the premises, gourmet breakfast, exceptionally clean and great attention to details throughout the main house.....You think you are in an old classic movie out on a great weekend getaway....very intimate and all in all a fantastic experience. Highly recommend this place. The Bellevue is where we stayed and enjoyed a panoramic view.
Wonderful ambience in a gorgeous setting overlooking the bay of Monterey. We have seen, from our bedroom window, Harbour Seals, Dolphin, Sea Otters, Whales ( brief glimpses) and numerous sea birds. Oh did I mention that there are binoculars in the bedroom s and public rooms too.Breakfast is fantastic and the daily cheese and wine events promote friendship and conversation.The bedrooms and public rooms are all very tastefully decorated in a style and décor that compliments the architecture and, most importantly, are sparkling clean.Finally the staff, they are very helpful, friendly, cheerful and a joy to talk to.To summarise, Seven Gables, is as far removed from the traditional view of a Bed and Breakfast as you could imagine, yet retains a homely, feel good, air about it that cheers the soul.
The Lap of Luxury Circa 1890The Seven Gables Inn is the most luxurious Bed & Breakfast hotel that Ive ever experienced. My wife and I spent our Honeymoon and following 3 consecutive anniversaries at the Inn. We only recently got back from our 5th visit and are planning another tripThe Inn offers extravagance in nearly every aspect. The rooms are decorated to reflect the epitome of the Victorian era. The ceiling is beautifully molded, the carpets and furniture. Every room has a pair of chairs set up before the largest bay window that can fit in the wall, that looks out on the rocky coast of Pacific Grove. Each rooms bed is at least a California Queen-size with 600 thread count sheets. Most rooms have a mini-fridge in its own private bathroom.Every evening from 4-6 PM local wines and cheese are presented in the foyer along with Coffee and Tea. Following suppertime, form 8-10 PM cookies and milk are provided as well. The next morning you can expect Coffee in the breakfast gallery at 6:30 am and from 8-10 AM a kingly breakfast, with a spectacular view of the ocean.If a Classic Victorian B&B is what you seek, there is none better than the Seven Gables Inn. It is so peaceful and serene at the shores of Monterey Bay, you may never want to leave.
My fiancé and I stayed here a year ago and are now back for our anniversary. This is the most romantic place ever. The are so considerate here, the advised us two weeks before arrival that the town was going to be very busy and they could help us with dinner reservations so we would not end up eating fast food, lol. The staff is incredible, service wonderful, and rooms are extremely well decorated and the views are incredible. We will stay here year after year. Should be a 10 star.
We stayed for one night in the most expensive corner suite. Room had luxury bed and some nice furniture. View was nice but the building is far from the ocean. There is a street between building and the beach.I would have still given higher rating if it wasnt for the breakfast. very very disappointing breakfast.
The place speaks for itself so much detail you need the time to fully enjoy this wonderful setting. The service keeps up with the theme in making this a memorable getaway. Celebrated 25 years of luck in having my better half at my side. Seven Gables Inn did its job in impressing my lovely woman, thank you.

My husband and I visited the Seven Gables in September. It was our first anniversary and we wanted to spend a week where we had on our first night of our honeymoon. We arrived and the service was definitely not what we expected. The room felt like it had been thrown together, the valet didnt greet us, check-in was less than fun, and it felt like we had been pushed aside. We later found out that there was a wedding going on and the party had intended to rent out the entire hotel but werent able to since people had already made reservations. After a day and a half of frustration we finally talked to the GM and told her we would like to change to the Cheshire ( the Seven Gables sister hotel down the street). She was appalled to hear our feelings and gave us apology after apology for the way we had been feeling. She turned our whole visit around with stellar service, a change of hotel to the Cheshire, and a dinner on them! We know that the bad experience was only an off day and will definitely return to the hotel in the future! Thank you for making our week special in the midst of the chaos!
We have been visiting the area for many years, and several years ago, for the first time, stayed at the Inn. Because we loved it so much we now return 4 times a year! In fact, we book each next stay as we check out, so we always have the next visit to look forward to. Everything about the Inn is five star! The staff, the rooms, the breakfast, the afternoon wine and cheese reception, the views, the location....it is a little slice of heaven...a sanctuary for us. I wish we had discovered it years ago!

Well, maybe some of the rooms a small and cuddly but I dont really want Donald Trump or the Amelia Marcos running in to a wonderful B&B at the Ocean.The first time I was here was in 1985 on my honeymoon drive up from my wedding with my wife and we just go lucky that there was a room available. The second time it was when she was 6 month pregnant with my baby girl who is now 24 and getting married in 2 months) ---ARG!!!Going back tomorrow with my new fiance that Ive been dating for 12 years -- our third time there.Bottom line.... it is a GREAT place. Dress well, be polite, have a wonderful time... arrright?
This was idyllic. We had travelled from Scotland to the east coast of America, flown to LA and driven north. Could not have arrived at a better place to recover. Our ocean view was wonderful and we loved spotting the sea otters.
Always an amazing experience. Breakfast till 10, noon checkout time and gorgeous views up and down the coast. Our Happy place. Whats not to love?
Seven Gables Inn is a historic bed and breakfast with amazing ocean views in Pacific Grove. Each room has a slightly unique view and setup, but the excellent service of the staff and lovely atmosphere are consistent throughout.
Seven Gables is a awesome little hotel in Pacific Grove. They have great views of the ocean the staff is courteous and kind and always there to help. Just take a look at some of the photos and youll see what Im talking about.

Be forewarned. Seven Gables is a B and B that has been on my list ever since I moved to California 17 years ago. I made an online reservation and then had to cancel it in 48 hours, one month before my planned arrival date on a weekday. There is a $20 processing fee just to cancel your reservation! I have never heard of any B and B or hotel with such an outrageous policy. Money for nothing?
Very romantic. Beautiful scenery. Really cant bear this place. A tad pricey but you get what you pay for. Kind of wish their walls were a little thicker. You can hear others enjoying themselves.

Traveling for 40 years. This is the best B&B we have ever stayed in. The room is very beautiful and comfortable, with two bathrooms upstairs and downstairs, two double beds and a sofa bed that can accommodate 6 people. Beautiful seaside environment. USD800 per night. Expensive, but Excellent value for money.
I loved spending my weekend in this paradise, beautiful place, clean, polite people, wonderful breakfast.Im ready to go back more often, without having to look for another place. Thank you.

2023-10-14 17:43:57Super impressed by this ocean-side inn in our first visit. The location cannot be beat, and our room had wide views on three sides of the coastline. Incredibly relaxing to enjoy a glass of wine in a window seat while listening to the visitors to the nearby Lover’s Point Beach and walking trail.Staff was generous and helpful, the street parking was ample, and it’s a short walk to great restaurants in Pacific Grove.Definitely coming back!

Only negative-no coffee until 8am and breakfast does not start until 8am. Not good for those who rise early and want a nice fresh cup coffee.

2023-06-23 19:15:39What a beautiful Victorian with a lot of history. Short stay but so worth it. We picked Julias room. Queen bed and as expected with Victorian decor and modern-day amenities such as a comfy bed, and a Keurig coffee maker. Most of all, what a view. The bay window looks out to the ocean. Friendly front desk staff with lots of historical information about this beautiful Inn. Quick and easy check-in. They greeted me and offered me champagne, Im allergic so they offered me apple cider. They even walked you to your room area. What a service. Street parking was not a problem, it was a Thursday evening.

I cannot wait to come back on both a couples trip, and a girls trip and have recommended Seven Gables to all of my friends who have inquired as to my pictures, where is THAT??I stayed in the Cypress room which was absolutely unbelievable. I enjoy sipping coffee on the massive window seat and looking out at the ocean. I sincerely could not believe how beautiful the room and the view were. I enjoyed daily runs on the bike path right across the street, and at Asilomar state beach (a quick 1.5 mile jaunt down the street).The particulars: the room was beautifully appointed (cozy robes, extra blankets, water, etc) and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable and the inn was very quiet--this room is along the street and I didnt hear any noise aside from a few creaks one expects from a very old house. The parking was perfect--I was driving in, nervous about this and literally parked outside my room every day. They have a small lot but I never used it because street parking was plentiful.Thank you for a fantastic stay--I cannot wait to come back!Quick addendum--Ive seen other reviews complain about the breakfast: I found it plentiful and there are TONS of places within walking distances if you dont like it/want a huge breakfast. The lack of A/C posed zero problem to me--I was coming from New England and sweating in Cali the moment I got off the plane, and was not hot for a single minute at Seven Gables. If you sincerely need central A/C Id suggest booking somewhere that isnt hundreds of years old ;)

2023-05-23 13:28:32Great get away in Pacific Grove. Cozy rooms with great view. We stayed in the Bellevue room. The only other thing I wish they offered was an evening get together in the main lounge area with appetizers and wine/champagne. Or perhaps evening cookies with tea served until the lounge closing at 9pm. We loved the place and will definitely be back

2023-05-10 15:20:48What an amazing stay! We checked in and the lady, Kamila sorry if I misspelled that, was a delight to deal with. It was quick, and easy. She walked us directly to our room, showing us small informative things along the way.We chose the Seascape room. I would recommend this one. The highlights were the ocean views with windows that could open to hear the waves break. Waiting on us in the room were two comfortable chairs that overlooked bay with a bottle of wine. I also loved that a fan was provided. The absence of a television was nice too.The breakfast room was beautiful with a great view. Henriberto, apologies again if I misspelled his name, is an asset to the property. He is so kind, attentive, and diligent to make sure that the food and drink were stocked and the tables were cleaned.The location was right by a footpath that carved along the ocean, a 3 minute walk to Lovers Point, a delcious restaurant and coffee shop.I think youll be hard pressed to find a better stay in Pacific Grove.
