The store was a bit chilly, but didnt bother me much. The store felt unpretentious and the food was excellent. We ordered the spicy xlb, pork&shrimp xlb, potato shrimp, wontons, and pan-fried dumplings, and two jasmine teas. Total before tip was $58, which is very reasonable. All the food was delicious, but my personal favorites were the spicy xlb and pan-fried dumplings. The pan-fried dumplings had delicious filling that was very juicy, and the skin had a satisfying chew and texture.

10/10 my favorite (and so far only) place I enjoy getting 小笼包 (xiaolongbao) in SoCal. The skins are thin and delicate - the perfect thickness, which allows the full flavor profile of the soup to be savored. The spicy xlb are the best and most flavorful, so don’t skip out on them. I have lived in SoCal for 3 years and tried numerous dumpling places throughout LA, OC, the 626, and San Diego, but none compare to these, which are reminiscent of my favorite dumplings in SF, so I was always disappointed. I’m so happy to finally have a go-to place. The other items on the menu are well worth getting too. The menu is fortunately not too extensive, so you know they specialize, but there’s also a good variety. I especially recommend the fried mantou and beef roll (not pictured). The portion sizes are generous for the price point and will leave you craving more. They don’t take reservations and the waitlist is closed on Yelp, but if you go earlier in the evening, there isn’t much of a wait.

First time here, my mom found out of this place from one of her friends and said it was better than ding tai fung. Its closer to us so we decided to give it a try.Modern open deisgn seating, some of the tables/chairs against the wall are kind aclose together so youll be near the next group of people, its a toght squeeze other than that the theres bar seating, bar stool style tables and seats etc.Slightlight disappointedFor Xao Long Baos, it didnt have much flavor. we got- Seven Gram XLB- Shrimp XLB- Pan fried Dumplings- Scallion Pancakes- seafood fried rice- Calamariall that about $60The XLB all tasted the same, the soup had a weird after taste and waste as flavorful, the fillings all tasted the same. even the shrimp tasted like the regular XLB, could not taste the shrimp.Scallion pancakes were crispy, doughy and pretty good 7-8/10 for scallion cakesCalamari 7/10, the ones we got were alittle over done, it was crispy but the squid was alittle rubbery.Panfried dumpling same filling as the XLB, so not much taste difference.Seafood fried was didnt have alot of seafood in it, it had alot of corn, carrots, peas and 1-3 pieces of shrimp and small scallops but oily rice.Comparing it to Ding tao Fung, Long Xing Ji Juicy Dumplings, Paradise Dynasty, and others. but with these other restaruants. You can taste the different ingredients across each dumpling and their soups are flavorful and refreshing to taste.I guess im being too harsh, its good for where its located and cheaper than the other places i mentioned its just didnt sit well went weve tased other XLB restaraunts.Quick in a pinch craving, i guess you could give it a try.if youre willing to wait for a Ding tai fung table and its not too far as a drive them go for the latter. There is noodle and bowl options we may come back to try, maybe those would be better but for XLB needs some workThe hot teas and flavored tea options were pretty good

Description - Chinese/Taiwanese tapas (small plates of Chinese traditional and fusion dishes).Availability - Can get busy. Go early.Price - We spent $20-30 per person. Can get expensive for parties with large appetites.Ordered items - We ordered everything on the Starters and Sides and House Special menu.Outstanding - Pig ear salad. Beef roll. Seven gram XLCGood - Scallion pancakes. Pan fried dumplings, seaweed salad, cucumber salad.Odd - Golden prime beef noodle soup (not bad, not great). Spicy pork paste over noodle (spaghetti with some Asian ingredients). Not my favorite.

Overall a decent restaurant. Location is a bit inconvenient (kind of far from freeway) but if you’re local then it is not a bad option if there is no wait. You can check and join the waitlist remotely via Yelp which is helpful.

The XLB and dumplings here are tasty and very juicy! Spicy Wontons were pretty good too. Nice interior and staff were friendly. This is my go to place now over DTF especially with the wait being way more manageable here. Highly recommend.

This place is small, but its busy when we get there around 1 pm. with a short wait of 30 minutes. A lot of people compared this restaurant to Ding Tai Fung, saying this place is cheaper, yes it is cheaper. Also, it tastes much better, but my opinion is Ding Tai Fung taste better. So what do you guys think?

The food is pretty good. The beef roll is a must. Pig-ear salad is also very authentic. Potato string shrimp is very interesting, pretty creative. The XLB is good as recommended by all.

Best xialongbao in this area. Pan fried dumplings are good as well. Noodles are ok.

Newly opened XLB place. We loved their regular xlb and shrimp xlb. They were super juicy! Shrimp xlb seemed to be a bit sweeter than the regular version. The steamed veggies dumplings were will-loaded. The skin could be a bit tough as it was made with wheat. For their beef roll, it was kinda hard.Pig ear salad tasted great. Loved they didnt put too much heat on it.
