Came here on a hunt for a good hang over cure and this place did the trick.They were busy when we first arrived and I had never eaten this style of food but the staff makes it an effortless and seamless experience.Our waiter who was funny but also nice enough to help our recovering brains get going provided excellent service. Really enjoyed the fact that this is at your own pace and you can enjoy the food.Vegetables provided were super fresh and the meat is cut just thick enough so that it doesnt fall apart while cooking.

This place is great came in and was instantly greeted. Fun to crush your own sesame for their signature sauce. Drank some sake blue balls to be exact great way to wash your meal down. The customer service here is fantastic and the vibes are great. Highly recommend coming to eat here you won’t disappointed thank you

The moment i walked in I was surrounded by a fun and yet serene athmosphere, the staff made me feel right at home instantly and I was seated near the other customers, which caught me off gaurd at first but quickly turned into new friendships and a family like enviroment that is hard to match outside of a good friend’s house.The food was excellent. The quality of the meats was superb and the broth was flavorful and of course it was expertly tailored to my exact preference by an extremely kind young man who must love every minute of his job. I was new to this style of cooking and the staff all but spoon fed me the food after patiently explaining exactly what was going on and what I was expected to do.This is an great place for a fun date if you enjoy hands on experiences, love playing with your food, and can appreciate simplicity.Free sake on wednesdays, what more can I say? Free icecream for dessert. Do me a favor, get yourself out here. It was very affordable too!

This place has been my go-to shabu spot since high school when my brother would take me. Sure, I have other spots I like to rotate, but compared to the others, Shabu Shabu Bar is always a very fun and pleasant dining experience.The meat quality here has never suffered and has remained consistent all these years. The same can be said for the produce. I cant speak on the broth options unfortunately as I enjoy doing plain water, but my wife really enjoys the sukiyaki. I especially love the fact that I can substitute items out for others. For example, I despise mushrooms, so I can get something else in its place, like another vegetable that isnt a fungus :)They have THE best goma sauce Ive ever had and I like grinding the sesame seeds before dinner. It adds a nice depth of flavor to the sauce. I used to never care for goma, but because of SSB, I need it! Also, if youre a hothead, definitely request for the drops. I can do upwards of 8+, but I am a VERY spicy eater! My wife does 5-6.As I mentioned earlier, the atmosphere here is lively and fun. The service is always personable and attentive. The previous and current owner are always engaging with their customers and helping out the rest of the team which I think is a respectable.I just went recently, but I cant wait to go back again, especially when the weather gets colder and the days are shorter!

A very enjoyable meal. Beef were well sliced, you get an individual hot pot and choose your own broth. Attentive service. Highly recommended and I do plan to return.

Best Shabu in Orange County. This is my go to spot after work and there is typically never a wait. You do have to be with your entire party to get seated but even then it doesn’t take to long of at all.Everything is good and the staff is very friendly and nice

We’re from out of town and decided to try Shabu Shabu Bar for the first time. And I gotta say that the food was delicious. And so was the staff. They were so helpful and friendly. At the end of our meal, I think her name is Cat, she recommended a few Boba places for us to try in town. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Santa Ana. Thanks again for being such great servers!

We came here with high hopes seeing stellar star ratings from both Google and Yelp. It was a cold night so we figured that Dhabi would be a perfect option. When we got there about 6 parties were waiting in line ahead of us, but it moved quickly and we got seated within 20 minutes.First impression, lively place and very noisy.The waitress asked if we were ready to order 3 times within a 5-minute span, and we felt like she was rushing us to order. Anyway, we ended up pickig the large seafood plate and rib eye plate as our entrées.The food arrived pretty quickly, and they looked good! And that was the only good thing I could say about the food.Upon our first bite we could tell that the scallops and ribeye were either in the freezer for too long, or the temperature was not set right on the freezer because they were both very dry. The texture of the salmon was alright, but the flavor was very bland. The sauce and broth also were very bland, and the thick-looking sesame sauce was very sticky and tasted like it was thickened with starch.The service was not bad, but we could feel that they were rushing us so they can free up the space for the next customers.Overall a two ★ experience. One ★ for the food and 2.5★ for the service and ambiance.

Had my first shab shabu experience outside of Japan, Shabu Shabu, rocked it. Service, drinks and food were excellent, truly enjoyed the experience, well be back, thank you Sandy
