2023-11-10 20:21:26Shabu Wara is hands down, the BEST Japanese shabu shabu option in the Chino Hills area. Weve been a couple times now and recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a high quality shabu experience! The service is amazing as well - the owner Arnold is super nice and the main guy at the counter Dayton is our new best friend. :POn Tuesdays and Sundays, Shabu Wara offers an ALL YOU CAN EAT experience, if you choose to avail. They have a standard a la carte menu too. On our most recent visit, we went for the AYCE. There were 3 options - Basic ($69pp), Deluxe ($89pp), or Premium ($109pp). Take a look at the photos of each of the menus so you can see the differences between the 3 options. The deluxe and premium have the Japanese A5 Wagyu Chuck Eye Steak, which is the appeal for those higher end options. We went with the Deluxe option this time and were not disappointed. Heres a breakdown of what we tried:- Japanese A5 Wagyu Brisket- Japanese A5 Wagyu Chuck Eye Steak- Full Blood MB9+ Australian Wagyu Brisket- Full Blood MB9+ Australian Wagyu Chuck Eye Steak- American Wagyu Karubi- Seafood platter (tiger shrimp, scallops, salmon, mussels)Of these items, of course we loved the Japanese A5 options which just melted in our mouths, but our personal favorite was the Australian Wagyu Brisket! In fact, wed probably come back just for that one. Its not as fatty as the Japanese A5 options.Theres plenty of parking where Shabu Wara is. We heard it gets super busy on weekends so maybe swing by for dinner on a weeknight. Weve never had a wait and you can be right up in the bar area! Highly highly recommend!

2023-09-04 02:18:52The Cindy and staff are so sweet, they kept asking if there was anything else we needed, very attentive and offered to put more broth if it was too spicy. The food was all fresh and had great flavor. We waited until it opened it seemed to be the best around here and we were right it was worth waiting. My daughter and I ordered the large premium beef toro this was plenty for us still left some food. The price was very affordable.

2023-07-09 03:33:34The service here was great. Food kept coming, we didnt have to wait long! :) Spacious place with tables and bar seating area inside! This was such an amazing experience to eat shabu with Wagyu!! Not just any Wagyu!... Japanese A5 Wagyu, Australian Wagyu and American Wagyu! I got the spicy tonkatsu broth and it was very flavorful. Everything from the sauces, veggies, noodles, and broth was very delicious! Dont forget to try the sushi and appetizers! They were good too! They have All You Can Eat Wagyu Tuesday and Sunday!Dont miss out on the $10 bottomless Sapporo on draft (with AYCE menu!! )

2020-03-01 22:12:24A great spot for Japanese shabu shabu in the neighborhood! We came here for lunch. It was the restaurants soft opening. They had a good menu already and served many popular appetizers like garlic edamame, takoyaki, fried chicken, soft shell crabs, etc.Great soup base options: We chose spicy miso tonkotsu and regular tonkotsu as soup base. Flavorful and healthy. They had vegan options too. Many entree options too: wagyu, different types of ribeye, kurobuta, lambs, seafood and veggies. And we ordered the regular but they had large and side order for smaller portion. Each entree order came with veggies and noodles. We also ordered the spinach ramen and Loved it. I especially loved then meat quality. It was really fresh, tender and juicy. I liked the size and thickness of the meat slice that it soaked up the flavor of the soup base but was a big piece and cooked within 10 seconds. We didnt need sauce. We checked in for free sake but we didnt drink so they gave us mochi ice cream. But we also ordered the ice cream macaroons. It was a great lunch. Wed definitely go again for dinner or lunch.

2021-10-10 08:08:00Delicious and really meat experience. A little pricey. Paid around 130 for three people, but it being our first time was worth the experience. The proteins we chose were delicious as well as the broths. Plenty to choose from. Staff was very attentive and made sure you were enjoying your time there. Highly recommend for those seeking a new food experience.

2020-03-01 22:40:40I order the wagyu zabuton and kobe gold ribeye too was recommended by the server. The Kobe gold ribeye just melts in your mouth and wagyu was tender and flavorful. Both highly recommended. All in all would be back again:)Great spot for Japanese Shabu! You can split your pot into two flavored broths. They also give you large veggies with rice!!Flavors of the broth were good... i particularly liked the Spicy Miso and Pork Bone. Selection of meat isnt particularly varied, but everything was served was really good (taste and thickness) of the meat was good so no complaints!Overall a pretty good shabu experience!

2021-12-04 06:13:35BRING YOUR OWN SALT! or seasoning for that matter… the broth was soooo bland, it was not good! The only reason for the 3rd star is because of the service! Our waitress was soo nice, helpful and was able to answer all our questions. To start we ordered a pitcher of Sapporo and an appetizer of Spicy Tuna over crispy rice. Which is the one food item I do recommend! My friend does NOT eat raw seafood but said he couldn’t even taste the fish! He really liked it as well! And for dinner we had the spicy tonkotsu broth and forgot which protein we ordered! But either way I DO NOT recommend the hot pot as it was flavorless and very disappointing! We will not be back unfortunately. We have yet to find OUR spot for hotpot!

2023-12-08 22:05:19Everything is frozen, salty and greasy, they use 3 sticks of butter for the hollandaisesauce which is ridiculous. All the meats, and seafood are frozen, overpriced place for the average quality.

2023-06-03 21:14:08My favorite spot for shabu! They have a variety of broths but my favorite is Spicy Tonkatsu! I was fortunate enough to run into the owner who explained to me that all their broths and spices are made in-house. The Spicy Tonkatsu has a delicious meaty flavor and a nice kick! Its the perfect balance between savory and spicy. I normally order Sukiyaki but I was told that this is their most popular broth. Im glad I went with the Spicy Tonkatsu because I LOVED IT so much! Ive tried tons of shabu spots, but this spot is my favorite by far.I highly recommend going on a Tuesday or Sunday to get their AYCE menu. Within the AYCE menu, you can order bottomless beers for $10! Their meat quality is top-tier and incredibly high. I felt a bit fancy and got the Premium Wagyu AYCE menu, and it was a pleasant experience! The cuts were amazing. Every bite was meaty, rich, tender, and succulent! This spot has other menus if you dont want to eat Wagyu so I love the versatility this spot offers to its customers. This spot is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking!
