2023-11-13 05:58:13Specialty crispy BBQ suckling pig, steamed fresh oysters in black bean sauce, juicy steamed minced pork with salted duck egg....these are just a small delicious preview of their diverse menu. This gem in Monterey Park offers Hong Kong BBQ and Chiu Chow style Chinese food. Their food tends to be very rich and full of flavors. Their staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Complementary house soup and tea are also pretty good. We left with 100% satisfaction. Ah, they also have really good lunch speicals!

2023-08-23 05:34:17Personally I like this place, but must admit, the atmosphere is like any cafe restaurant you find with a little smell of the roast duck and pork right next door. The food here is great though! (Which is probably more important anyway!) always can find a pleasant surprise with the dishes they can make. If you’re looking for something exquisite will require ordering ahead of time though, especially some seafoods, so call ahead if you’re looking for the more expensive stuff.

2023-06-28 02:57:41Who knew there was rable service past the takeout counter. My furst time here. Really wanted to love this place. But service was neglectful and hostile. They were definitely having a grumpypuss day. As for the food -- it takes a nice picture!! But...the filet mignon and snowpeas, too salty, and the meat was spongy. The flavor of the sweet sour pork chops was good, very tasty, but there were lots of bone shards. The char sui meat was dark hard and dry, though it had good flavor...looked like it was a leftover. Really wanted to like this place bec its got a cheesy hole-the-wall vibe. Colorful menus plaster the walls. Loved the menu as decor. The quality of the food, sad. The quality of the service, also sad. Maybe it was chefs night off? The place was popular, every table filled and on a weekday nite too. The tea was great. Really cool gold teapots. No refills tho. Cash only. Parking avail in lot and on street.

2023-10-12 08:22:24A busy place with good food like BBQ pork, duck, sausage, etc. The restaurant is split in 2 sides with sit-down and a deli on each side. Sometimes a little crowded. The walls are a little busy with advertising.

2022-09-10 00:04:265-star for the taste and service. Fast, tasty and good service. They have so many items that are really good like goose, duck and chicken. The only draw back is they always ask you want water or tea, and if you say tea, then the water will most likely not be given or taken away. And vise verse. The food is actually very good and fair priced. First time here and I am already in love with the food selection and tasty here.In Monterey Park, you die when you are not good enough.By the way, the milk tea is amazingly good!We have had meals here for 3 times. Each time they actually make mistakes during rush hours, like food is cold in the middle, food shows up when we finish, or wrong bills. Human errors do happen, just be careful.

2022-12-14 21:47:54I came here a few times, found food here is pretty good. Price is reasonable, service is nothing one can write home about, unless you speak Cantonese.I plan to come here again to buy a steam chicken and a roast duck soon.

2023-02-14 07:50:41Came in around 9:30 on Saturday. Staff told me that they were closed for the day, and the chef already left. A staff came out and invited me in the restaurant, and there were customer eating still. The staff told me that he can put together a noodle soup for me. I accepted the offer as I was hungry. He asked me what I would like to go with the noodle soup. I the staff whatever is easy for him. He told me that can make me a wonton noodle soup. They also had 2 scollops available. Wonton was not my favorite, but I took the offer. The noodle soup was huge, and I could not finish it even if I was hungry. The wonton was perfectly seasoned, and it changed my mind towards wonton. I will order it more often. The scallops were so fresh, and tasty! The owner came out and had a chat with me by asking me why I would eat this late. I explained him that I just got off work. He was very friendly. Thank you for being so kind. I will come back and support local business.

2023-08-29 11:39:58Folks, this is the real deal: Rude service, kids doing homework in the back, and FANTASTIC AUTHENTIC FOOD! Not only is the food awesome, but great portion sizes for excellent prices. Weve been back at least 5 times this year and they never disappoint. I hope the 5-stars dont hurt this business. Ordered the Ho-fun, Red BBQ Fried Bone-In Pork, and Singapore-Style Crispy Noodles.
