2023-09-16 21:28:06This is hands down one of the best Shanghai restaurants for lunch in the bay. Ive tried other popular ones and their food is nowhere close to this place. The sticky rice roll is made to order where other places were already made beforehand so its usually dry and hard texture. The Chinese donut is crispy outside and soft inside vs other places are just full of dough in and out. Their xiao long bao is not bad where the meat and soup lack the fresh flavors but still better than most restaurants.Their savory soymilk is always consistent and just enough flavor and sweet soymilk is also good. They have most of the traditional Shanghainese dishes and Ive been coming here for lunch at least once a month. Quality and service are always consistent and the wait is not bad if you come during peak hours. Out of all the Chinese restaurants, I always come back to this place and try something new. The price is affordable, the total is usually around $40-50 for 3 people after tips. Parking is easy and free. Definitely give this place a try and youll come out in a food coma from their large portions.

2023-08-22 01:46:27The sweet snd sour chicken is incredible. The chicken fried rice is bland and the chicken came out raw. We sent it back to get cooked further and it was still raw. The potstickers were undercooked and soggy. The shanghai soup pork dumplings were alright, not really authentic. They are clearly frozen.

2023-12-02 19:56:31Shanghai Dumpling has great soup and pan fried dumplings! Best Shanghainese food in the area. They have a huge menu that caters to all the best Chinese food including dim sum on top of all their other food. Their lotus wrapped sticky rice is great considering its the only place that does night dim sum in the area. The workers are kind and quite easygoing.

2022-12-12 06:32:01Generally good Chinese food! Highly recommend Shanghai Steamed Pork Dumpling, it is so delicious! Chive pancake and sauteed eels are also good. Not recommend spicy wontons, too much flour outside and the meat is not tasty.

2023-06-25 02:10:46The worst and most bland, watery chicken curry and flavorless chicken chow mein Ive ever had and we eat a lot of Chinese! We walked here from our hotel after ordering the food for take out. Luckily we ordered the pot stickers and Shanghai egg rolls too and those werent bad. Food all looked good but it was pretty awful.

2022-12-24 18:56:25Authentic Shanghainese food — the lions head meatballs were made just right with plenty of sauce and rice cakes were just a bit too salty cooked just enough. $9 for pan-fried pork buns are a steal and they taste great too.

2023-07-08 15:48:00The dumplings are very good. Other dishes were good. We didnt get the stir-fry garlic green beans this time and regretted that; they are good, too. The restaurant could use a bit of brightening up, but its clean.

2022-12-26 05:01:14This place has changed alot from the last time we visited. Very open space setup for covid take out more than dine in. Although service is not their strength, but the food quality has also gone down. We were disappointed.
