Shanghai Family Restaurant in Cupertino

This is a place where you can enjoy anthentic Shanghai cuisine, the food we ordered are all very nice, and the service is also very friendly and helpful. We went there on Sunday evening, it was not crowded and we didnt have to wait which is very good. I would definitely go again. I forgot to take a photo for xiaolongbao, i would highly recommend it as well.

We ordered a duck to take out and it costs $15, it looks nothing like we had before. The kitchen only has a lady/waitress because it was late. But this is too bad. We had dinner there before the food was good but you should not give customers this if you don’t have enough to sell!

Northern Chinese food, served quickly. They have a pretty large selection of dishes to choose from. You wont go wrong with buns, dumplings, and any of their vegetable choices. The veggie buns are very flavourful. Try odd dishes like egg whites with meat, very yummy. The interior is a bit dated and very very red. But you are likely not here for the ambiance.

This is an unscrupulous restaurant. When I was about to pour tea, I noticed the cup was very dirty. I wanted to take a photo as evidence, but the owner saw and not only did she not apologize, she also scolded me and forbade me from taking pictures. She then tried to snatch my phone away. In order to deceive me into handing over my phone and deleting the photos, the owner loudly slandered me, claiming I took pictures of her, but I wasnt fooled. I suggested they call the police if they truly wanted to see the photos on my phone, but they didnt dare.

Food is ok. A bit too salty for my taste. The worst part is the service. Waitress/receptionist is incredibly rude, utterly unhelpful and has a bad attitude. And she doesnt seem to speak a word of English. That woman needs to find another job because she clearly doesnt like working here. Stay far far away from this place.

We came to celebrate Chinese New Year, but ended up with a terrible dining experience. The table was not properly cleaned. We waited over an HOUR AND A HALF for 2 dishes and they would not let us cancel our order. Furthermore, the surrounding customers had all their dishes delivered, but us. Our fish dish, which we waited an hour and a half for, was undercooked. By the time we told the servers that we had been waiting for our food 3 times, and our food arrived, we were all full from drinking tea and eating rice.

Some dishes were good - I liked the grilled eel which was delicious and not very easy to find in Chinese restaurants. But the service was impatient and could be better.

The best Shanghai style food on the west coast. Yellow croaker with pine nuts, sautéed eel in brown sauce and braised pork kidney - all outstanding.

A big menu of Shanghaiese food mainly. Prices are reasonable and portions are big. Very good quality.

Pretty solid Shanghainese food. Service was great.
