Love this place! I love sushi and for so long had been looking for a really good one and finally I found this!The atomic bomb sushi is by far my favorite one. The mongolian beef was delicious (but spicy) and the edamames were really good too.

This is a great place go sit at the bar and watch sports while eating. The food is good not great but can sometimes be inconsistent. Im not sure what has changed over the past year but I believe it was better in all aspects of food and service up until about a year ago. Still a decent place to eat and hang out with a group.

This was my first time at Shangri La Asian Bistro. The customer service was outstanding and especially fast service after ordering. We sat at the bar and got a couple of their sangria specialty drinks for $6. We ordered the salt and pepper wings, chicken wraps and Chinese chicken salad to share. Everything was really good except for the iceberg lettuce instead of mixed greens in the salad. We Will return for another visit.

One of my favorite restaurants in downtown Lodi!😍 The oyster shooters are one of my favorite items on the menu! Never disappoints and you have the option to make it non alcoholic. 💯 The staff is pretty friendly and seating is usually available at lunch/dinner time. So many yummy dishes on the menu, great spot for Asian food in Lodi!

Ive been to Shangri La Asian Bistro a few times, and I gotta say, its become a favorite spot for me. The service is top-notch - the staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing.The ambiance is just right - cozy and welcoming. Its the kind of place you can go for a casual dinner or a special occasion.Now, lets talk about the food. Their Chinese and Japanese menu is a winner. Im a big fan of sushi, and they nail it every time. Fresh and flavorful, its hard to resist.And when the weathers gloomy, their soups are like a warm hug. Perfect on a cold, rainy day.Plus, if youre into beer, theyve got a great selection to choose from.All in all, Shangri La is a gem. Good food, great service, and a cozy vibe - what more could you ask for? Highly recommend!

The vegan options I had were the vegetarian roll sushi, the cucumber roll sushi, edamame beans and cucumber salad without the crab. The food was excellent, I really enjoyed the vegetarian roll. I deducted a star because the service was really lacking on this visit, by the time I managed to flag the waitress down for drinks, we were almost done eating by the time they came.

This place have the worst food in any restaurants ive ever been to. It is literally better to just make a cup of noodles at home. The fried rice was wet. The vegetables dish was very salty. The crispy noodles were soggy. The thai tea was too sweet. The sushi have the thinnest piece of fish, sliced thin like a piece of ginger. My family was not able to eat the food at all. Save yourself the trouble. Stay away from this restaurant.

I have eaten here for many years but last Sunday, I think I had the best meal Ive ever had there and every dish was just amazing. We started with the Dan Dan noodles and then we had the Honey Walnut Shrimp and then finally some Sesame Chicken along with Wonton soup and rice. Every dish was just incredible.

WORST food I have had in a long time!! Ice cold edamame to start things off. Then burnt chicken teriyaki with a cold watery balsamic vinegar like teriyaki sauce. Chicken was also low quality and extremely burnt on top of it. Cold gyoza that wasnt even fully cooked. Still had frozen bits showing from what ever prepackaged brand they use. Have had better quality food from a frozen trader Joes meal. Then to top it off the sorry excuse of sushi with the smallest portion of tuna with unpeeled cucumber and way too much rice. Dont waste your money on this place. Over priced, terrible quality, and just a lack of effort on the food. Yuck 🤮

This place is great, but I wasnt expecting it to be an actual bar. I went with a group of 11 that included my nephews (6 and 3) and my one-year-old niece. There was a belligerent family who were screaming and cursing and it kinda felt wrong having the kids there, but overall the food was great and we had fun nonetheless. I understand it was my fault for not properly researching (Ive been to other sushi bars that were merely restaurants) but yeah... it doesnt really seem like the best place for children. Having lunch, dinner, or watching a game/fight with your buddies, this place would be awesome. Just fyi: You dont order through a traditional menu. On each table, theres a scannable pamphlet with a QR code that takes you to the menu. If you find it difficult navigating your phone, Id probably go elsewhere if I were you. Save yourself the embarrassment of sitting there waiting for a server.

The bar is very nice and clean with pretty much any drink you could think of at hand. Loved the crab cheese fritters were excellent. I ordered box B on their lunch plate. You really cant beat the prices here for the food you get. My server was fast and very courteous. Ill definitely revisit this place.

The most delicious meal I think Ive ever had! We ordered Mongolian chicken and beef, with steamed rice, and pork chow mein, and it was enough food for a family of 3 to eat for dinner and for lunch the next day. I have never had better Chinese food in my life.

This is my new FAVORITE Chinese restaurant in all of Lodi, the food was absolutely delicious! Food was ok! The bartenders drinks were great! The owner need to work on the womens bathroom. The toilet was leaking at the bottom and water was flowing to small drain hole. The toilet seat needs replacing, as it was extremely loose. Definitely needs upgrading and a good clean. I was not impressed with this restaurant.

The food was so delicious the portion was amazing. I got the shark bite cocktail... let me tell you it was delicious. Maitais were delicious ooooh the volcano bowl was ginormous and delicious. My son enjoyed his warrior rolls again portions were generous. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Definitely going back!!!

We have been going here for years! But, now they have thrown away the menus and it is all done online! So if you don’t have your phone or don’t know how to maneuver around on web. I guess you don’t eat! Literally was with 90 year old parent and relatives and waiter gave us no support! Then came back with a stack of plates and silverware and just left it at the end of table for us to pass around!! The same with soup!! Then there was 7 of us and 2 bento plates came out after everyone else was done eating! I’m sad to say I don’t think we will return!! Good luck to the owners trying to find good help!!

Fast food fast service. But the only thing we didnt like was. We couldnt be seated until all of our family showed up. 👎🏼the bento box teriyaki beef med rare was to tough to even chew or cut. No wheelchair access and the parking was hard to find. Had to park way far back down the street. For my 83 your old mom. 🤔🥴

Had this place twice first time wasn’t bad but the second time god it wasn’t what I was expecting. This place need filters on their water system. Also needs a major renovation that’s the key to keeping up with your restaurant. Also making sure your utensils are actually washed when they come out from the dishwasher. This place could be amazing if things were maintained a little more.

Been going there for years. But no more.Went for lunch yesterday and only a portion of what we ordered was edible. Sent some back, suffered through the rest and took some home for the dogs. I brought my mom here for her birthday dinner because I had a great experience last time. Not sure if there is a new owner or management. Our appetizers were served to another table by accident so our dinner came out and i had ask what happened to the appetizers. She then brought out raw tempura. On top of Chow mien with a whole raw onion in it. Everything was just really bad, and under cooked. The worse part was the table was sticker than a peep show bathroom. Well the sauce on the walnut prawns was pretty bad too. Like very cheap mayo with no flavor and thick as heck. I asked to talk to the owner or manager and they said he was to busy and then I gave me the bill for 175.00$ smh My kids asked if I was going to go all Karen. I kept my cool 😎 and said we just will never be back.

We wont be back. We walked in, there was no host to greet us, we waited about 15 minutes for the host to come by and take our name to be seated. My boyfriend and I go here all the time, we’ve never really had an issue until last night. The food is great, let’s get that out of the way. We came in last night before last call, last call is 8:30, we got there at 8:20, was still denied a table. Sat there as another couple came in, asked for a table, was told last call was 8:30. The kids at the front didn’t even know what time it was, had to ask them (8:25) still denied them before 8:30 as well, saying “oh well last call is too close anyways”. If you have a policy, then follow it, and if 8:30 is too late, then make it 8:20. You can’t tell someone what time last call is, and refuse to take them because you simply don’t want to. There are some great hard workers in there, but not all. I’m sad I don’t know names bc some of the kids are really awesome. They usually have great staff, though the great ones never stay for very long, always new faces. The whole time they’re refusing tables they’re sitting there, actually on the counter, talking and chit chatting, leaving the open sign on, not doing much. We are regulars, but not anymore, it really rubbed us the wrong way and will find somewhere else to be putting our money.

It can get quite pricey if you have a lot of people, but just going with a friend would probably be around $30-70 based on what you order. WONDERFUL. The service was amazing. My glass of water was never empty and the food came out in 10 minutes time. The food was great as well! They stuff their rolls full! We ordered the house combo which had 4 rolls for under 30. They are your basic sushi rolls. California, spicy tuna, dragon, and their lodi roll. Even being the basic rolls they were still packed with flavor and tasted wonderful the Wasabi and ginger were also incredibly fresh. They are also very generous with their wine! Full glass and only 6 dollars! The rolls were just perfectly balanced in flavor and all the ingredient had a freshness that stuck out far more than any other place I have tried. The atmosphere was also very nice and calming..the seating is spacious and I didnt have to yell to talk with my friend who came with me. Simply wonderful. Will definitely be coming here again sometime!

Food was pretty good, not as good as some other local places but decent. Waitress was sweet and attentive. The sushi chefs were so slow it was ridiculous, it took over an hour to get our food. Then we ordered an extra plate to go as soon as we got our food, big mistake. That took another hour. We were there for over 2 hours to get 6 rolls.

The sushi staff was friendly and gave great service. But the bartender (who was also the manager) was very abrasive. When I was given the bill there was a chocolate cake on there that I did not order. And there was a charge for a veggie roll #2 which was $2 more than the veggie roll #1 that I had ordered. The manager rudely explained that I had ordered a custom roll and that was the veggie roll #2. This didn’t make a lot of sense, but I didn’t argue, and she repeated the veggie roll #2 explanation twice more failing to ever address or acknowledge the error for the cake. She even rolled her eyes at me when I said I was just trying to understand the charges. She seemed to be getting mad perhaps because she was unwilling to accept any responsibility for the error on her part. I would have expected more from the manager at a beautiful place like this. I won’t be coming back anytime soon.

Ended up getting a variety of nagari for one of my daughters and I and a bento box for the other. Let me tell you this place is now my go-to place for sushi. If I could rate higher then 5 starts Id give it a 10! The service here was amazing. Super friendly and kind. We were visiting from out of town and we found this restaurant on line. We were so glad we did! The restaurant itself is small but very clean. The menu has ample selections of grilled and tempura foods as well as sushi. The sushi menu is very descriptive as well as having photos with each individual roll. Very helpful if not familiar with sushi. We order the teriyaki chicken appetizer with a caterpillar roll and a fire roll. The chicken was so tender and savory! The rolls were fresh and absolutely delicious. Service was prompt and very friendly. Prices were also very reasonable. Definitely recommend!

This is the most horrible place i ever been? Poor service! They gave me an iced coffee that is water down already coz it was late when they gave it to me and they refused to remove it on the bill. There 8 of us and the guy who seated us said theres an 18% gratituity coz of the no of people which is fine but our server said its 20%. And they cant be bother explaining why coz there are so busy! Your sashimi isnt fresh and other food isnt top notch amd you have the audacity to treat your customers like that! And the one serving us is the fing manager sabrina!! We absolutely love this place! The sushi is fresh, creative, and amazing! The rolls have wonderful combinations of textures and flavors. For my birthday this spring, the sushi chef made me a personalized roll! It was most excellent!The service is always spot on, friendly, helpful, and our drinks are never empty. There are nightly drink specials that are great! Last nights Mai Tai was perfect for dessert. And they have a plethora of sake, warm and chilled, to choose from.

We were seated right away but immediately told we had to pay the 20% gratuity because our 3 year old counted toward our party of 6. Then 20 minutes later our waitress shows up to take our order. Me and the beautiful lady went out for the first time in awhile since all this horrible shutdowns happened and let me just say this... Being in this restaurant was amazing! This place made our date feel like this pandemic has never existed and we felt like life was completely normal with the other 25% of people dinning inside lol. Anyways, our waiter that served us was very polite, kind, and on top of giving us our drinks and food in a timely manner even though the kitchen orders were a little backed up. The atmosphere inside was perfect with just the right amount of people inside, but the low dimmed lights made it feel like a dive bar (which is awesome!) 😆. But the most important thing was the food. Let me tell you.... The Lion King, The Dragon, and The Volcano sushi rolls were absolutely the best sushi rolls Ive had! No lie! Ive had my fair share of sushi places but this place had it all! Definitely is now our official sushi spot from here on out and we will both be returning very soon! Thank you guys!P.S. To The Supervisors/Managers of the business- The gentleman who served us on 11/13/20 around 730pm-830pm in the section between the windows and bar... he had piercings on top of both ears I believe... wasnt able to remember his name, but please give that man an accommodation lol. Walked in the door and a kid hands me a sticky menu to look at when asked what the dinner menu is. Didnt explain the entire menu was being served for dinner (sigh on door says dinner menu only). The rolls were no bigger around then a nickel and was served 6 for $4.99 where as my daughter got the California roll which were the size of quarters and she had 8 pieces for $7.99. I said Ive always had them twice the size and paid far less in more expense restaurants and she said shed let the manager know. No offer to make another or remove off the bill. The experience wasnt good. The manager, Navin, is very unprofessional and lacks any type of problem-solving skills, which is crucial for managing a restaurant. When I went inside to pay for the meal me and my family had, we made sure to mention that we wanted a roll off the bill because they took 45+ minutes to prepare it and even after we were done eating, more time passed and there still wasnt any sign of the roll. When we mentioned this to Navin, she began to talk in a very loud manner, and said that this is the only time (she) was voiding it, next time she was going to pack it up for us to go and make (us) take it. She was blaming her mistakes on us because there were a few changes to the order and that was what took time for the non-existent roll to get to the table. We were explicitly told that it was fine and the changes could still be made without any problem. Her attitude throughout the whole payment process was rude and unprofessional and even left the transaction halfway done, making one of the waiters finish another change done to the bill for another item we didnt order. TOTALLY WONT COME BACK!PS- The waitstaff was very helpful and professional, keeping calm at all times which speaks volumes about Navin as a manager

Sent it back and the owner refused to take it off bill.
