Shawarma Guys in La Mesa

Visited this past weekend with a friend with dietary restrictions (no gluten, no dairy) and we had a great meal! I got the beef and chicken plate that I enjoyed and she got the all beef plate and made a substitution for the salad, no issues at all. The pita bread that came along with the plates was warm and fresh, the hummus was good, and they had a good selection of drinks in the fridge. Will return!

It doesnt get any better than this! SPECTACULAR! Easily the best shawarma weve had! Everything was well cooked, perfectly seasoned, super flavorful in ample portions. Blew us away! This will be our go to for all things related. Several vegetarian and vegan options as well! My highest recommendation!!

So yum! Long time fan of the food truck and so happy to see the store front. The place was impeccable - everything from the friendly and attentive staff, clean interior, and delicious food. The owner even came by to hook us up with some extra vegan dishes. I really enjoyed the egg rolls as well. PS healthcare workers get 10% on any purchase with your badge. Will be back!!

Ive been patiently waiting for this location to open in La Mesa. The South Park location is a bit of a drive for me. I showed up during the soft opening and the food is just as delicious as their food truck. The service was excellent as well. I ordered the Cali shawarma wrap, it had fresh ingredients and was very tasty. I also had the beef egg rolls which were amazing. The restaurant is very modern and elegant. I highly recommend this place. Very happy you guys are in east county.

I want to say that I have been trying to get to the Shawarma Guys Food Truck for awhile.When I heard there was a brick and mortar local opening up I got super excited.I ended up ordering from the online menu and it was extremely easy and efficient. I ordered the food for 6 platter with all the fixins because I wanted my family to try a little bit of everything.It was worth the wait! The rice was perfection. Although the meat and chicken were tender and seasoned just right, the true star was the falafel. Imagine a true carnivore loved the vegetarian dish most of all.Something I never thought could be a thing are the shawarma egg rolls. SCRUMPTIOUS. I will order it as a side dish everything.And the staff were amazing. Friendly and quick service. They worked well together and although we didnt eat in the establishment, the place was spotless.Oh we goin back!!!!

Best service ever - each person out front was friendly and ready to help with suggestions. We had Wagyu beef/chicken shawarma plate and Chopped Lemon Cream Chicken. Both came with tabouli and hummus/pita. All exceptional (pita was so-so) fresh, full of flavor. We also had the pistachio gelato - again very good. We will return. Oh! The interior was inviting, well planned and organized. Very nice addition to our neighborhood.

I want to share my experience and divide it into two parts. First the food and service are very good, probably best Shawarma I have tasted in SD. Definitely worth the visit for good high quality shawarma. Second, lets talk portion size and cost, here is where you might be disappointed. We ordered a wrap and shawarma fries .. 37 and change fries alone were 21 dollars! I mean I get it but 21 for fries and meat ( no bread no veggies just potatoes and shawarma ) seems a bit much. If you go for the wrap and are expecting the size of the one that was on the show.. well . Saying all this I again want to make sure to say the food is good and the service is top notch, just gonna cost ya.

Must try!! An outstanding experience from food to service to staff to everything. The dishes were absolutely delicious, each one packed with flavor and prepared with care. Everything tasted so fresh and authentic. The chicken cream chop was my favorite and the gelato is something else; it exceeded my expectations in every way.If youre looking for exceptional food and convenient service, I highly recommend giving them a try.

The food was AMAZING! We had chicken cream chop fries, egg rolls and a Greek chicken wrap. All were unbelievable. The flavors shawarma guys has in their food is next level. Would highly recommend!
